SURPRISE...

Hi guys. Did you all have a good Monday? I sure hope so. I have to say that mine went really fast, and with little to no problems. We did have a little of the wind and rain that they were predicting, but nothing too out of the ordinary...
My day got even better however when I got home and a new stamp was waiting for me on my desk...Yes, I finally broke down and purchased a Kraftin' Kimmie.. and I love her. She is just so cute and has this really mischievous look to her..heehee.... Jerry says she reminds him of Angelica from the Rug Rats cartoons...I didn't realize however that she was not foam mounted yet, and of course I am out of the mounting foam at the moment. :( I guess that I will just have to wait for payday to get me some...Until then I tried to make do because I just had to color her. I used some of my ATG gun on the back of the stamp and put it on my block. It worked ok, but I did not get as crisp of lines as I would normally get had she been mounted. Isn't that just the saddest thing you have ever heard? Don't cry too much I will get over it...lol....
Ok, I will quit whining and get on with the fun card that I was able to put together.. I am sorry, but I used almost all earth tones on this one so I did not make a supply list of the Copics that it was colored with. I did use some of my glossy accents for her goggles and eyes, but you really can't see it in the pictures. Every Jerry thought that looked really cool. lol.. Well, it's that time again. Have a super Tuesday and I will chat at you tomorrow. Lisa G

BORROW A CUP OF SMILES...

Hi guys. As you can see it is late for me today. I guess with the kids being off school my body decided that it needed an extra hour of sleep this morning. I didn't get up until 7am. I don't even get up that late on the weekends. Oh well, I will get on with it....
Today's card was made using the wonderful Spesch digi stamp Mad Hatter. I just think she is so cute and can be used for a lot of different kind of cards. This one is for a quick hello card/ I've been thinking of you..
Well, I had better get moving. Talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

KADIES' AWESOME BLOG CANDY...

Hi guys. Yes, it is Sunday afternoon and all to soon I will be off to bed so that I can head back to work tomorrow. I have been trying to get some cards worked on, but halfway through it I had to stop so that I could go get groceries for the kids and Jerry for this coming week. They are so happy to be getting a week off. I however am not so lucky. It does amaze me how much food we go through when they are not in school for 6 hours a day.

Anyway I just got back not to long ago and I am trying to get back to it. I decided to check on some of my favorite blogs and just noticed this awesome blog candy from Kadie..You really should check it out for your chance to win. I promise that you are going to love the things that she is giving away.

Well, back to it. Talk at you tomorrow. Have a great Sunday evening, Lisa G

A SIMPLE THANK YOU...

Good Friday morning y'all... Yes, it is Friday and I have a nice big headache with a soar throat. However it is the last day of this week and I only have a half day at work tomorrow, so I am in a pretty good mood. lol... I am sitting here this morning listening to music and that always puts me in a great mood. I have to tell you all that Erin was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon and she loved her card. Get well Erin and get some rest. Love You...
Ok, back to today's card. I made this little Thank you card from a new stamp that came yesterday in the mail. I won a $25 gift certificate from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design and this was one of the things that I purchased. If you know me you know how much I love leather purses. Yes, I have yet another obsession! When my husband asked my Dad if he could marry me my Dad actually asked him if he intended to make enough money for me to buy all the leather purses I ever wanted. Jerry of course said yes and Dad did too. (true story!) That is how long and how bad my purse obsession is. I have to say Jerry has never discouraged me from buying any purse I ever wanted. Ok ok, boy did I get off topic! Sorry. So....my card is made with my new Dooney Bourke purse stamp. I love this stamp. It is just too cute and it is my favorite style of DB..hahaha... I will stop with my silliness and wish you all a very happy Friday! Hugs, Lisa G

ANOTHER GET WELL SOON...

Hi guys. I hope you all had a great Wednesday. Mine was a very busy one. I won't bore you with the details. Let's just so I am glad that it is Thursday.
Today's card is for my very good friend who ended up in the hospital Tuesday night with appendicitis. She of course had to have surgery, but everything went well. At this point she is still in the hospital, but on the road to recovery. She is in collage and of all things it is her spring break and she is very relieved that she is not going to be missing any school. lol....As you can guess she is very smart and a very good student.
So, I decided to take out my newly purchased WS-Dressy Ebony digi and give her a blond hairdo. For some reason when I look at this cutie I always see her as a brunette and so I wanted to try something new. I am very pleased with how she turned out. I also decided to use some of my new makingmemories 8x8 paper pack. The colors just make you happy and I love the print with the umbrellas. I used it to symbolize being under the weather. lol...I know I am goofy. Well, it's that time. This has taken me forever just to type this little bit. Lucy decided that she just had to spread out between me and my keyboard. Love getting help from my cat/dog. lol...Yes, I am a pushover. Hahaha...Have a great day and I will chat at you tomorrow, Lisa G

I'M LATE...

Good morning everyone. I hope you are having a good week so far. I am running behind this morning so I am going to get right to it. Today's card was made using one of my new Spesch digi stamps called Rabbit. When I started to color her I thought that she would make the best belated birthday card...Kind of a play on words sort of thing. lol... I had so much fun coloring her watch and using my glossy accents to bring both her glasses and the watch face to life. You can't really see it in the pictures, but I just love how it turned out. Ok guys, I got to get kids up and going so I will talk at you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, have an awesome day, Lisa G

MAY YOUR DAY BE FILLED WITH HAPPINESS...

Good morning all. I hope that you had a great weekend. Did anyone get to a New Moon party of Friday? Are you team Edward or team Jacob? Myself, I am team Edward... Don't get me wrong, I like Jacob. He is a sweetheart, but Bella belongs with Edward! lol....
Ok, enough of the funny stuff. I need to get myself going this fine Monday morning and there is no better way than with a card. I started this card thinking I wanted it to be an Easter one and then halfway through coloring it I changed my mind. heehee... I also decided that I was going to use some of my blue green colors.(I never use this color, it is very hard for me.) I am not really a pastel kind of girl, but Emma just looked so pretty in her dress that I felt she needed it to be soft. So, here is my card. Like I said I am not a pastel/ruffles kind of gal, so this took me forever to put together. GGggrrrrr. Even then, I don't think that it turned out that great. I left the inside blank so that it could be used for just about anything. So now you have my sob story for the week. Have an awesome day everyone. Chat at you tomorrow, Lisa G

Good morning everyone. I am making this a short one as I have an appointment this morning and need to get going soon.
I want to share with you this little get well soon card that I made. I ran across Amy R's card like this last week and I just had to case it. It was super fun to make and didn't take anytime at all. I hope you like it. Have a great weekend everyone. Talk at you later, Lisa G

WORKING ON TECHNIQUES...

Hi guys. Hope you are all having a great week. Tomorrow is my day off, so I am getting there. lol... Tomorrow is also the midnight release of New Moon on DVD. Yes, I am team Edward! Can you believe that I am probably the only Twilighter that did not see this in the theater? So, as you can imagine I am pretty excited.
Ok, enough about that. Lets get on with the card. I am not sure if I mentioned it, but I am taking some on-line Copic classes that Suzanne Dean is offering. The reason I bring it up now it is that one of the topics is how to make things have more dimension when coloring with black. I am very proud to say that is why I colored this cutie's hat black. I am very very please with how it turned out. I don't think a week ago I would have colored it with as much depth put into it. Anyway that leads me to this adorable stamp that I used for my card. She is called the Mad Hatter and she can be purchased from Spesch stamps. These are new digi stamps and I think you are going to love them. I of course used some of my new paper pads that I have. Sooooo addicted! Well, I better start getting kiddies ready for school. Have a great day everyone. Hugs, Lisa G

THANK YOU...

Good morning guys. I am going to make this a quick one as I have to work today and I am running just a little behind this morning. Sorry I didn't get a card out yesterday, but I came home from work on Monday sick and I stayed home yesterday because of it. I just hate having stomach problems! I can handle a cold and work but not the other......
Ok, enough of that. Let me wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Hope you have your green on.
Today's card is for the Saturday Sketch Challenge over at CA&F. I of course had to use some of my new papers from makingmemories along with WS-Savannah. I have to say that I am quite please with how this turned out. Go to get going. Have a great day. Lisa G

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE...

Good morning guys. I hope that your Monday is off and running well. I have to share with everyone what a great evening I had on Friday. First off my baby brother(he is now 36) and his family came into town just for the day and surprised me at work. It was the best when I looked up and there were my two nieces and nephew. By the time I got home from work my whole family was in town and we all had a great time. We went to get Maddi's hair cut like her cousins and the guy thought that we were having a family reunion. Yes, we can get pretty loud when my are together. lol... The only thing that would have made it even better would have been if my sisters' three sons would have been there. They are now 21, 18 and 15 so they are a little busy doing their own things (especially on a Friday night). I love you all and I had such a great time.
Ok guys, I will get on with why you are here. My card for today is one that I made for the Weekly Wednesday Challenge St. Patrick's Day at All That Scraps. I used the wonderful Sparkle Thistleweed made by the exceedingly talented Amy Y. I just thought that she was the cutest little fairy to spread an Irish blessing. I actually looked up on google to find one, and I have to say that I am very happy with what I found.
So, I am sending this to all of you. Have a great start to your week. Be sure to check out the ATS blog and play along. Talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

IT'S AMORE...

Hi guys. It's Friday ! I may work tomorrow, but I am so glad that this week is coming to an end. It has just been one of those busy weeks that you really wish would just end.
As you can see from the time of this post I am so running behind this morning so like my card it is going to be a quick one. I colored this sweetheart last week and somehow I lost my list of what colors I used. I finished her sand last night, so that is the only list I have for you. I have to tell you that the wonderful Cindy H. is the one that I got the idea for the sand and grass from. Thank you Cindy for letting me play with your idea.
Ok, I said quick. So this little sweetheart is out with her best friend watching the seagulls on the ocean. They're on vacation in Hawaii! Thank you my friend Amy for giving her to me. I don't use them very much as I am afraid I will mess them up and then I won't have them. lol...I know...
I used my Prime e-line flowers and pearls to make her flower look more tropical. You can not be in Hawaii without seeing some beautiful flowers. Well I have gone on long enough, I better get some kids out of bed. Have an awesome Friday everyone. I will talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G

WHAT'S COOKIN' ?...

Hi guys. I hope that everyone is having a good week so far. Not too much longer until the weekend...Yay! I work on Saturday, but before you know it I will be home and get to play...I so can not wait. It has been super busy this week and coloring with my Copics helps me relax. :D That and blog hopping. lol.... I have to share with you another card that I made with Dazzles from Hot Off The Press. This is a set called Kitchen Stickers and they come in a pack of three so that you can use them on a scrapbook page or in this case to make a quick card for someone.
I really love how this set is in the brown, and I am sure this will not be the only card that I make with this set. Perhaps some red accents with the brown?.....hmmmm! Something to think about.
Ok everyone have a great day, and I will talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G

IAN LADDIE...

Hi guys. I am going to make this one a quick one as I work at 8 this morning. I just want to quickly thank everyone for your sweet comments on my card yesterday. I really enjoy reading them, and it is so encouraging to me. You are all so awesome. Thank you.
Ok, today's card is another one that I made with a stamp that I have had for some time now. It is none other than Ian Laddie and I think he is sooo cute. I made him walking down the sidewalk as he is on his way to the park to compete in the pole tossing contest with his friends. They are having a big celebration and love to get together and compete with each other. I actually made this card to put in for the Wild Card Wednesday over at CA&F, but I didn't read it correctly and I missed the deadline. Oooops! Oh well, I still love it and I really had a great time coloring this little darling. I am sorry, but I just noticed that I did not edit my picture of my Copics(it is a terrible picture, and I have no idea how to take just this one off) that I used nor did I write them down to list for you. Well guys, have a great Wednesday and I will talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G
