SWEET NOVEMBER STAMPS - TAURUS...

Hi guys.
I sure hope that you all had a great weekend. Mine was a three day one, but it still seemed to just fly by. lol... I am running super behind this morning as our hot water tank went out this weekend and I had to get up really early to boil water so that I could take my bath and wash my hair. I don't do anything without my showers. :O)
So, because my super talented friend Amy Young is previewing some of her newest stamps today I asked if I could play along. Her stamps are all about the zodiac signs this time and you are not going to believe how wonderfully BIG these gals are. Almost 5 x 3& 1/2 inches. I asked to play with the Taurus as that is my sign. I decided that she needs to be in a field of flowers (kind of like Ferdinand the bull). You see as a Taurus we (I) can be very happy smelling the flowers and enjoying the softer side of life. However you had better not try and hurt me or mine in any way then the BULL comes out. Mine you, it takes a while but you really don't want to be on the other end of those horns when we're mad... So my girl is busy smelling some sweet flowers, after all April showers bring May flowers. Please be sure to stop at Amy's blog if you haven't already. You will find both Nancy and Marley have made some great cards as well.
Sorry for the rush. I will try and get my supplies listed tonight. Have a super Monday.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Hi guys.
I am such a noodle. :O) I had such a full day yesterday and then our hot water tank went out this morning so I completely forgot all about my post for this morning. Hence...'Noodle' lol....
Anyway, I hope that you are all having a great weekend. We really are. Even though it is super cold here. We don't have any snow. Sorry Amy, but OMG it is COLD!
Well, as I have a ton of things to do today I am going to get to it. Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow. No more slacking. heehee...

TAKING THE WEEK OFF...

Hi guys
I am sorry I didn't get anything posted for you yesterday. I have really had a super busy week and I still haven't had any time to make anything crafty. As you know I am trying to decide on a new camera, and I thought that I had decided to get the Canon Rebel. Well, I just don't know. I just am not sure that I want to put out that kind of money at the moment. Sooo between being super duper busy at work, and having a next to non functioning camera I have decided to not try and make something in a hurry just to put it on my blog. I am sad, but I am going to take this week off to figure out the camera thing and to get my house in order. lol....Have a great week and I will for sure be back on Sunday for a new Sundays with Lucy. In the meantime I thought that I would leave you with this adorable picture of Cheeky Howdy. I know she was on my blog this last week, but she's so cute I just couldn't help but pick her to watch my blog for the week.
Thanks everyone.

SKETCH / COPIC COLOR BOOK...

Hi guys. I hope that you all had a super weekend. I worked on Saturday, but it went real fast and the whole day ended up being so much fun.
Have you ever played Pictionary? Have you ever played Pictionary on the Wii? Have you every played Pictionary on the Wii with your Mom, Dad, Husband and two children? If you have then you know what kind of Saturday evening we had. If not I have to say that I don't think any one of us has laughed that much in a very long time. We had so much fun.
Ok, let me get to my post for today. I don't have a card made. I wanted to share my Copic color book/ sketch book. Over on the CA&F blog Jennifer Shultz showed how she had made a color chart for her Prismas so that she could get a good idea of her color combos that she likes. Well, I have always had a book that I made that lists all of the Copic colors. I would write in notes as to color combos that I liked for hair, skin and misc. other things. When I saw Jennifer's I decided that I really liked it and I had to give it a go. Let me tell you I think not only is it a great visual idea instead of just writing in the color numbers but you also get a lot of practice on how to add highlights while you are coloring the same image several times. I don't have them all colored in as I wanted to leave some for when I come across a new combo that I like. I used Neenah Solar white cardstock as that is what I love to stamp on and I wanted to get the true colors. I also cut apart my 2011 Copic book (that has all the new colors that are coming to Sketch) and photo copied it onto the Neenah so that everything is in one book on my desk. I wish I had taken pictures of the Copic color parts. I just didn't think of it when I started to take my photos last night.
Well I better get a move on as I work today. The kids don't have school today, so I only have myself to get going. Have a great day everyone. Talk at you tomorrow.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY

Hi guys.
I hope that you all had a great week and that your weekend is going wonderfully as well. I am so sorry I haven't been around for a few days. I ended up catching the nasty flu that some of the people at work (my Boss was the first) have been getting. It is the really bad cough and feel like you were run over kind of flu. Anyway I was working and all of a sudden Wednesday I felt like someone had hit me hard in the middle of the back and chest. I just could not stay and work anymore. I came home and went to bed for the rest of the day. Then I spent Thursday on our couch watching Glee and falling asleep. lol....It really helped however as I was able to get back to work on Friday and Saturday, and I feel loads better.
So I thought I would drop in today to share another Sunday with Lucy. This picture was actually taken last weekend and Lucy was playing with the old DVD player when Jerry started to play with the hairbands with her. You can see that she didn't want to let loose of either. Silly cat! I am sorry that this picture is soooo bad. My camera has decided that three years of abuse is enough and has finally given up... Guess I'll have to invest in a Rebel....We'll see. Let me also say that there isn't anything wrong with Lucy's eyes, it's just the way my computer fixed the redeye on the animal part. Ggggrrrr! Ok guys have a great rest of your weekend. Talk at you tomorrow.

Hugs, Lisa G

THINKING OF YOU...

Hi guys.
I hope you are all having a great week so far. So, who enjoyed Glee? I did, I did! I just loved it when Sam sang his Justin Bieber song. He really has a great voice. I can not wait to see what next week's show is all about. I have to admit that I didn't like the preview of Rachel kissing Sam... He is so darn ADORABLE!!! lmbo....kidding! Gosh! :O)
Ok, I am will get on with it. I am having a great time playing with some of the stamps that I purchased from Stampers Best. They are perfect to use right along with my Greeting Farm stamps. As you know I have only been stamping for a little over a year now and I have to admit that I am having fun learning as I go. lol....
With that being said I wanted to share another card that I made with a background stamp from Stampers Best. When I purchased this stamp I really thought that it would work so well with Bree. She looks like she is on a safari to deliver a great card that she made for her friend. This card is on the simple side, but that is what I was going for. Just playing around. I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to head over to Stampers Best and place an order. You can get a great discount by using my coupon code gobeagirl. Have a great day. Talk at you tomorrow.

Wee Stamps...

Hi guys.
I just wanted to share this with everyone before I head to bed for the night. You have to check out these adorable digi stamps that my friend Amanda mentioned on her blog yesterday... The stamps are called Wee Stamps and I really think you will agree when I say they are just too sweet. Check it out and if you help Sylvia to spread the word about her stamps she will send you a free digi... Have a great night. See you in the morning.

STAMPERS BEST...

Good morning all. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. The oldest M&M is sick, so we really didn't do much. Jerry made steak and potatoes. YUM! That works for all of us carnivores here at the Gobea house. lol...
I am going to get right to it this morning as I have a lot to share with you today. I was watching (duffer9904) on YouTube when she started talking about the company StampersBest. They sell deeply etched red rubber stamps and the cling cushion to mount all of your stamps with. They also sell the Cling Storage Cards to store them on. The cards come in 8 & 1\2 X 11 with 3 holes already punched to put into any 3 ring binders. I tell you I wish I made YouTube videos so I could tell you and show you everything all at once. lol
Well, I just had to place an order and I have to say this company is super FAST! I ordered on Tuesday or Wednesday and I received my order on Saturday. OMGoodness... these stamps are great. They have vintage borders, background stamps and images that are just so cute. They stamps great and their prices are just fabulous! If you head over to StampersBest and register for a free Premium Membership you can use the code gobeagirl (case sensitive) to get a discount on your first order.
I just had to buy the Antique VW Bug stamp to use with my Greeting Farm 'Hats Off Miss Anya'. That is what I used to make my card with today. The second that I saw the VW I just knew what I wanted to make with it.
Ok guys, I have talked long enough so I will let you go. Have a great day and treat yourself to some great stamps. Head over to StampersBest and enjoy the savings.

TRUE LOVE...

Good morning everyone.
I want to start out this morning by wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day. I actually have one last Love card that I want to share this year. lol... I was organizing my stamps a little bit this weekend when I came across one of my all time favorite stamps. As you can see that stamp is the adorable Wild Sprout Stella from the Greeting Farm-designed by Amy Young. When I came across Stella I just could not imagine letting Valentine's Day pass without making a card with her on it. I mean, come on she is just so adorable and sweet. heehee I decided that she needed to be pared up with none other that the Crazy Love Collection from BoBunny... I had just bought a kind of crocheted lace from Walmart last payday and I really wanted to use that and make a flower with it as well. The colors worked out so well I have to say that I just love how it all turned out. I put an antique button in the middle of my flower with some of the satin ribbon behind it just to finish it off.
Well, it's Monday and it's time to get the M&Ms in gear so I better get a move on. Have a wonderful day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Good morning everyone. I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend. We have been having sunny days and warm weather. What more could you ask for when we are heading into the 3rd week of February? I know that we will still get more winter soon, but while this warmer weather is here I am going to enjoy it.
Speaking of enjoying one's self I have yet another a picture of Lucy being Lucy. lol... This picture was actually taken last year shortly after we purchased Jerry a Blu-ray Dics player. Lucy became very attached to our old DVD player when she discovered that the door would open all by it's self (it has a remote control) and she would play with it until she got sleepy. Then she would lay down to take a quick catnap while the machine was still warm. We don't use it anymore as it was going bad and that is why we bought the Blu-ray in the first place. Jerry being the softy that he is at times has put the DVD player on the floor and now she can play with it whenever he feels like playing with her. She still loves to lounge on it even when it isn't warm.

Well that's all I have today. I have some things to share with you next week. So I had better get going and get everything done. Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

Hugs, Lisa G

HOW DO I LOVE THEE?

Good morning all. I hope that you all are having a wonderful Friday. I have this weekend off, and I am so looking forward to it. Just nine more hours of work and then I am coming home changing into my comfy shirt and pants and getting crafty. lol.... It has been so sunny here the last couple of days, I just love it! It is still cold, but I don't care as long as the sun is shining and it is still daylight when I get off work...Yay! What more could a person ask for?
I have been so busy at work this week that I forgot to mention that we FINALLY have a new girl that has started and I have to say she is very bright and very easy to work with... She has already started to help customers and ring up their prescriptions with little to no help at all. If she continues to learn our system as fast as she is by next month we will start to get a half day once a week again. I so can not wait. I will get the chance once again to pickup my M&Ms from school and have more time to help them with their homework or just spend time with them.
Yes I love my DH and I am happy to have a couple hours of alone time with him, but I don't usually get to be home when my kids get off of school so Jerry is a very good Husband and Dad when it comes to Mom and M&M time. :O)
Well it is Friday and I have gone on long enough. It didn't take me this long to make my card for today. heehee I wanted to use the last little scraps on my Valentine papers, so I made this exceedingly simple card with Cheeky Howdy. I also used a terrific embossed sticker by WeR Memory Keepers that went with the paper. I really loved the sticker, but it has taken all week to decide how I wanted to use it. I came home last night and sat down at my desk and all of a sudden this whole card just fell into place. I have to say that even though it is a very simple card I absolutely adore how it turned out.
I have to apologize however as I made this card last night and just took the pictures this morning before doing this posting. I don't have a list of my supplies. I just didn't think about it last night and I already put everything away. I must have been ready to go to bed when I finshed my card. :O)
I will talk at you later. Be sure to check back as I will be sure to share some Lucy with you on Sunday. So until then have a great weekend.
Hugs, Lisa G

A LITTLE SUNSHINE ...

Hi guys.
I have to make this a quick one this morning. Uhhgggg! We have had two people out this week due to the awful flu that is going around. We have been so busy and I am running behind once again. I do not like to run behind as I never what to get anywhere late. Yes, that is one of my OCD things. lol... So, my card today is actually a stamp that I colored up about two weeks ago. I had picked out the papers and colored her, but just never got around to making her into a card. I got home last night and she just looked at me like "Hey, I have been sitting here waiting to be on a card. What's up with that?" Well, I just felt so bad that I had to do something. lol... So her she is little Miss I heart stamps Anya. She is so sweet and just screams sunshine and fun. Hope you all are at the very least getting some sunshine.
Ok, that's it for me today. Have a great Thursday everyone. Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

XOXO...

Hi guys. Can you believe that we are half way through this week? I for one am very happy with that. :O) It was great to watch Glee last night. That always puts me in a great mood and I was even more happy to see that Jerry was wrong about Blaine. Ever since he came on the show Jerry has kept saying how he is going to crush Kurt's heart. I really enjoyed how they made the whole thing between Blaine and Kurt work out. So cute! Don't you just love the way the Warblers sang Silly Love Songs? I tried to download it and put it on my Ipod shuffle, but I have to admit that I have never been very good at doing that. heehee Oh well, I never said I was a techno kind of girl. lol...Any suggestions?
It may already be halfway through this week, but I am worn out so let me get right to my card for today. This is yet again one that I made with the WeR Memory Keepers Valentine's paper. Sorry, I was having fun with it when I was making all of these. I also didn't want to waste the papers so I decided to make some more Valentine cards to mail out. However now that I look at my blog from this week it sure has a ton of green and pink. Gggrrrr! :O) Yes, I am a dork. Anyway I just had to use a Miss Anya Hats Off for this more teenager type of Valentine card. I hope you like it and I hope that you all have a wonderful hump day.
Gotta run.
I will talk at you tomorrow.

HAVE A GLEE-FUL TUESDAY...

Hi guys. Happy Tuesday to you. I hope you are all ready to get your Glee on... I just have to get through today at work, the kids' homework done and I am gettin cozy on the couch to watch my Glee. :O) I think that I am more excited than a kid on Christmas morning. heehee! Two episodes in less than 2 days. WOW! Jerry likes to listen to the music ahead of time and I used to listen too, but now I like the surprise of it so he is sworn to keep it to himself. He is very good at that!
Ok let me get to it. I had a super busy day at work yesterday and I need to get back to it early this morning so here goes... This is my card made for Jen's CA&F Saturday Sketch. I just love how cute it looked, so I had to play. I used some more of the WeR MemoryKeepers paper for Valentine's Day. I really love it, and I am determined to get it used up before the big day. lol... I decided to use some of the embossed heart stickers in place of the buttons or bling that the sketch shows. I have to say that I am very pleased with how it turned out. As you can see I am trying out new skin colors and hair colors. I am in the middle of updating my Copic sketch book. It's kind of fun to try something out of my comfort zone.
Well that's it for today. I hope you all have a Gleeful day. heehee

SEW EASY AT THE GREETING FARM

I hope that you all had a great weekend. My Saturday started with a great day at work and when I got home there was a package waiting for me. It seems that my DH decided to surprise me with an early Valentine's Day gift. He was sweet enough to have ordered me the February release from the Greeting Farm. I didn't even know that he knew how to get to TGF store let alone purchase anything from them. :O) I asked him what he would have done if I had won the whole release and he said I could have given the extras as part of a blog candy. How cute is that? He is learning blog terminally... lol... Well you can guess what I spent the rest of my weekend doing. Yes, I just had to catalog, color and make card with these wonderful stamps.
As you all know though my favorite part of yesterday was that Glee was back on again! I have to say they did not let me down at all. I can't help it, it just always puts me in a good mood to watch some Glee. This week we get a double dose. YES! Glee on Tuesday as well... Can you think of a better way to start off your week? I sure can't.
Ok, as it is Monday and Mitchell has no interest in going to school this morning (I can feel a major fight coming on) I will get to it. My card today is one that I made for the FFF challenge over at the Greeting Farm. The challenge this week is to sew on your card. I thought about it and I decided as I used faux stitches on my Relay card that I should at least make an attempt to sew something on this one. I didn't bring out the sewing machine (being lazy) , but I did get my Tim Holtz, idea-ology ruler out. I used the side that has the holes in it for just this type of project. I am telling you it could not have been any easier! lol... I also wanted this card to have a feel of a teenager doodling on her notebook, so I used some sub-ons and I ruffed up the edges to have that warn out look as well. What can I say I was in a theme kind of mode....lol..
Alrighty that's it for me today. Have a great day. I will talk at you tomorrow.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Good morning all. Yes, it is Sunday once again and that means we are going to see what Lucy is doing today to be crafty. Well, what can I say once in a while Jerry has to get in on the action and this picture is from one of those times. I know that I have mentioned thousands of times that Lucy is a cat that thinks she is a dog or even a human. She will lay there and pretty much let Jerry do anything to her. What you are looking at is some of Lucy's toys. She loves to play fetch with Jerry with the little hairbands that girls use to put their hair in ponytails. I guess my 'DH' decided that Lucy looked very Olympic while she was taking a nap the other day. She even went back to sleep after I took this picture. I had to make Jerry take them off of her. lol....Have a great Sunday everyone. Are you ready for the Super Bowl? I am ready for Glee afterwards. Yay! lol
Talk at you later. Lisa G

MISS YOU...

Hi guys.
Happy Thursday. I want to thank everyone that let me know about Club Anya and Friends today. I was so surprised when I went over there and saw my CHA Relay page on the blog. Talk about a great way to start your day. I think I floated to work. lol.
Ok, let me get to my card this morning. This was another card that I started Friday night and was going to get done to post first thing Monday morning. As you all know that just didn't happen. Oh well! Anyway I wanted to use some of my stamps that I have been neglecting and I wanted to make my BFF a card. I haven't been able to spend anytime with her in so long it just isn't funny. We haven't even had more that 5 minutes to talk on the phone either. So of course I had to use my Sweet Pea Stamp that had the little cat on it. Too cute! I don't know if I have ever mentioned it, but my BFF is the reason we have our cat Lucy. We had gone to the pet shop together and I saw Lucy and thought she was such a beautiful little black kitten. I was oohing and aahing over her. So she insisted that she was buying her for me and she would not going to take no for an answer. Well you see who won that argument and I am so happy that she did! :O) Thank you Louisiana Hooey... lmbo
Well guys now that I am feeling very nostalgic about my wonderful friend Sydnee I will wish you all a great day. Take the time to call your BFF and tell her or him just how much they mean to you.
Talk at you tomorrow.
