Wrapped in Hugs...

TGIF!!!
We'll it's late and the time has come to put up my very last (official) post for the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog.  I can honestly say that it has been the BEST TIME.  Talk about meeting wonderful people.  I can not tell you how much this opportunity has meant to me.  I am going to miss it, but as you all know The Greeting Farm Stamps are my all time favorite stamps and I for one know that I will not stop coloring them as long as Marie and Jess are around to make sure we all have them to play with.  lol...

So, I want to start my post off  by sending out a whole bunch of hugs to all the wonderful ladies that I have had the privilege to work with on the Farm Fresh Design Team.  I could not have asked to work with a nicer, friendlier set of ladies.   Everyone has just been so helpful and they are all so amazingly talented.  Jess, thank you so much for being you and for being such an awesome person to work with.  Ireally appriciate all you help and patiences with me. lol...

Our team captain was Margie and I could not have done any of this without her.  Between all the ladies I was able to look like I knew what I was doing when it came to putting up the post on the FFF blog.  heehee  You all know how computer illiterate I can be.  lol....

As I said, Margie was our team captain and we all wanted to send her some love for all that she has done for us these last six months by picking out one of her cards to CASE.  So, I picked this one as I love, love the Creeper Crew and I really loved the way that she was able to make this card shine without a single bit of bling or ribbon.  lol....
So Margie,  I have to tell you that I had a great time working on this card and for the next boy Birthday card that I need I am so going to make it like yours.  I truly love this card and I really want to Thank You for everything.  I have enjoyed every minute with you guys.
Even though I didn't CASE any of the other girl's cards for this post I still want to send out my Thanks to each and everyone of you.  Jessica,  Joni, April, & Sharette I really have loved working together and getting to know you all. Thanks again !

Well guys as you can see it is late and I am running very very behind tonight.  We had both the younger cats (Boo and Casper) spade, neutered & declawed on Monday and tonight just before I was going to type my post  Boo started to bleed. She wouldn't stop bleeding, so the Vet had us rush her in.  She has to stay the night and he said she should be fine by tomorrow.   I also need to type both the M&Ms' papers for school, so I am going to wish you all a wonderful Friday and get those finished so that I can go to bed.  lol...  (A Mom's work is never done) Thank you all for your support while I learned my way through my first Official DT.  :O)   I have had a great time!
Hugs, Lisa G

Monday Fun Day - Anything Goes...

Good morning everyone.
Well, we are yet ago looking Monday right in the face.  The good news is that over on the Farm Fresh Challeng Blog it is once again 'Monday Fun Day' and this week our theme is, Anything Goes!   You can do just about anything you would like to create this week.  All you have to do is be sure to use a stamp from The Greeting Farm.
So what are you waiting for?  Pull out those stamps and go on over and play with us this week so that you will have a chance at winning one of The Greeting Farm stamp.  :O)  Just be sure to link your card or project to Mr. Linky for your chance to win.   Sounds like a great idea to me.   If you really don't know what you want to do or having a time coming up with something for this challenge you should head on over to The Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and see what the DT ladies have put together for you this week.

I wanted to ink up some of my bunnies,  what with Easter just around the corner, so I grabbed the 'Lucky Bunnie' set and fussy cut her out with one of my circle Spellbinders to give her a little punch.  I then used up some odds and ends that I had laying on my desk to add just a little touch of whimsy to this card.
I hope you all had a great weekend.  We were busy busy and it stayed pretty cool out until Sunday, so I worked mostly inside.  Oh well next weekend is gonna be here before we know it and I'll have plenty of time to work outside or take those walks that I want to get in. lol...
Have a great day everyone.  I am heading to bed early as I have two little cats to take to the Veterinarian in the  morning to get them both fixed.  Don't need anymore little kitty cats than I already have around here.  heehee...
Besides the M&Ms would want to keep them and Jerry wouldn't... I think three inside is more than enough. lol      I hope you all have a great start to your week and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Peace, love & happiness....

Hi guys.
I am sorry to be MIA this week.  I would give you a good excuse, but the truth is that I worked three 10 hour days and 5 yesterday, so needless to say I would be so tired when I got home every night that I didn't even turn my computer on all week.  I feel really bad,  but I am hoping to get caught up this weekend with everyone's blogs.  I hope you are all well and I can't wait to see what everyone has been up to.
So,  it's Friday and that means that we are all ready for an awesome Friday Spy Day over on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog...  This week we spied Lou Mac's card and I have to tell you that at first I was somewhat intimidated by it.  She has really put in a lot of elements and come up with a fantastic card.

Lou Mac's card! So cute...

When I started my card (last Saturday) I was going through some of the new paper pads that I had just purchased from Susana's Custom art and card design.  I landed on this pad by Simple Stories called FAB{U}LOUS.... Well, fabulous it is!  I just love the flower power you feel from this whole pad and I got so engrossed with the papers along with Boho Anya (I knew immediately that I was going to use her) and before I knew it I had my card all done and I have tell you, "I LOVE it!"    lol...
It really isn't my usual style, but  I love how it turned out just like I imaged it in my mind.  Don't you just love it when that happens?  As you can tell I turned the design of Lou's card on the side, but I think it still works just the same.
I hope you will all be inspired to come over and play with us this week.  If you are looking for more inspiration be sure to head over to the FFF Challenge Blog and see what the DT has come up this week.
Have a great weekend everyone and I will talk at you later.

Monday Fun-Day Circles and Scallops....

Good Morning Bloggers!
I sure hope that you have all had a great weekend.  This is my short week and I have decided to start it off with a positive attitude and look forward to the coming weekend.  lol.... No big plans, just enjoying the extra sunshine each day and the fact that we were able to get in two walks this weekend.  Yay!!!
Mind you we still haven't gotten back to taking as long of a walk as we did last summer, but the wind has really been having it's say, so we tend to just stay within a 7 to 8 block area around our home so that if it really starts up we won't feel cranky when we get through.  If the wind  stays at a mild roar we end up walking our route 2 to 3  times before we head back.. lol.. Silly I know, but we still want to keep everyone motivated without any complaining coming into the picture.  Amazing what a couple of iPod shuffles will do to motivate.  Mind you those also want to talk while we walk.  lol... I love my kids.   After all the M&M are teenagers and they have been known to have their little temper tantrums now and then.  heehee... Ok.... let's get to the real reason why you have showed up on my blogspot   :O)  Kidding!   I'm just in a weird mood at the moment. So....
It's Monday and that means that it is time for our 25th Monday Fun Day over on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog.... Can you believe it?  Well it is,  and this time we want to see your Circles and/or your Scallops.   Go crazy with it, have fun and most important add it to our Mr. Linky so that have a chance to win one of the Awesome Greeting Farm Stamps!   For my card I decided to use one of the small stamps that came in the 'Sunshine kit' from The Greeting Farm.  I am trying to not overlook the smaller stamps in my rush to pull out my favorite Anya, Ian or a Creeper. lol... So when I pulled out the dragonfly I decided to put it with one of my new paper pads from 'MME' and it got me thinking of my Grandma's garden when I was very little.  There were no flowers  ever left un-watered, and there was always such a beautiful array of colors you would feel like you were sitting inside a rainbow.  :O)  I can still smell the green grass as Grandma would water and we would sit on the huge outdoor swing and talk to her, or play with our Barbies out on the lawn so that they felt like they were camping out in the woods.  Ahhh talk about great memories of a time gone bye.  Ok, ok.....
Before I let you go I just want to remind you all to be sure and head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT Ladies have made for your inspiration this week.  Also be sure to check out all the Fantastic things the ladies over on the Greeting Farm have been creating lately.  There are even some videos that I really think you'll enjoy even if you've been a stamper for a long time.
Well that's it for me today.  Have a wonderful Monday everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Friday Spy Day... Thinking of You...

CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL... This is so cute
     TGIF my friends!

So it's Friday again and you all know what that means..... Yes, it is time once again for our Friday Spy Day over on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog...  This week we have spied one of Rachel's adorable Birthday cards and I am sure that you are going to love it.

I really love the lines in this one along with how Rachel
used the circle to show off this adorable Creeper from
the Sweet & Toxic set.  Just ADORABLE!

I had just gotten a couple of brand new paper pads
yesterday in the mail and even though I wanted to
do a haul video I decided to use a couple of the papers
anyway as they were just perfect for what I had in
mind to CASE Rachel's card.

So I grabbed some of my new stamps along with my with some of these awesome new paper pads from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design.... If you haven't already checked out her store you really should.  Susana is so sweet and she is so so fast with her shipping.  It is always such a pleasure buying from her.
Well, I had better hit the road. Have to work today and Saturday, but
that's ok because then I am CRAFTING with my new papers and stamps.  However before I finish up here let me just remind you to head over to the FFF Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT ladies have done with this one.  Then grab those stamps, we'd love to see your stuff and you'll also have the chance to win a stamp from the Greeting Farm, and who wouldn't want that.
Have a great Friday everyone and I'll talk at you tomorrow.

Retro Fresh Wednesday...

Good morning everyone.
I am sorry that I haven't been around much this week.  We have been so so busy it is truly an understatement.  My oldest M&M had choir tryouts for next year when they will both be in High School.,  (where or where did I put that Valium?  lol) Kidding!  Anyway, he got through his one on one tryout yesterday and now we have to wait for a call back.  Poor kid is going to go crazy waiting.   We'll just have to hope for good weather and walk it out of him.  lol...

So, there is just a little glimpse of some of our madness that is going on at the old Gobea House.  I, however did not want to miss out on this week's Spring Cleaning Retro Fresh Challenge over on the FFF challenge blog.       So when I got  home after 6pm I sent Jerry out to the garage to dig through some of my old scrapbooking stuff so that I could use a certain product that I have.  Well after an hour and no such luck I made him come in as it is entirely possible that I sold it at a garage sale we had about two years ago.  lol... He is a very patient man when it comes to me and the M&Ms...
As I had no luck there I decided to see if I could find my eyelet punch that I haven't used in over 3 years.  Yay! I was able to find it and all of my eyelets put away in their proper place that I had forgotten about.  So, long story short I used one of the very very first Miss Anya stamps that I purchased from the Greeting Farm and gave her a few little flower eyelets that I have had for over 5 years and used that eyelet setter that has been sitting around for the last 3 years.  All in all I think I did a good job of pulling out some of my long forgotten must have items that I used to love working with.
I love this challenge!  I think it is a fantastic idea and it really does get you back into the mood to use up some of those 'must haves'  that you just forgot about.  lol...  So if you get a chance head over to the
Farm Fresh Challenge blog and see what the rest of our very talented DT ladies have made up for you.
Also don't forget that you have all month for this one.  All you need to do is upload your card by Tuesday April 10th at Noon CST and you will have a chance to win 4x6 stamp set of your choice from the Greeting Farm.  I hope you  enjoy or if  you will 'embrace'  this challenge.  I really think you will be happy that you did.
Have a great Wednesday everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.  Be sure to check back in the afternoon tomorrow as there will be a bit of a surprise I know you'll want to read about.
Hugs, Lisa G

Monday Fun Day - Black/White Challenge

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you have all had a great weekend.  Ours was pretty darn good. When I got home from work on Friday it was still sunny and very nice temperature wise, so even though my back had been pinching all day at work I decided a walk just might help.  We had a great time and ended up walking our short route twice.  lol... Everyone had their  iPods and we were really ready to enjoy the early and ever changing spring weather.  lol... All in all we had a great weekend, and I hope that you all did too.  :O)
I am going to get right to my card as I do work a full week this week and I really need to budget my time wisely.  So with that being said let's get to it.  It is once again Monday Fun Day over on the Farm Fresh challenge Blog and Sharette has come up with the idea of Black/White.  At first I thought that I was going to color up a Miss Anya and fuzzy cut her an outfit to go with the black/white theme.  However once I really got to thinking about what I wanted to do I decided to make a card using some of my Greeting Farm stamps, but not coloring anything.  After all not everyone has Copics or colored pencils, and I think it is kind of cool to see that you don't really need to make a major investment in spendy pens or pencils to have fun and make a great card.  With Sharette's challenge being about black and white I knew right away that I had to use my Little Black Dress paper pad from Basic Grey.  I mean come on that is just perfect right?  lol ....  So I pulled out my Tea-rrific stamp set and used a couple of different lace trims to add a little flair along with some pearls and Ta Da!   Instant
card that took me all of about 15 minutes from start to finish.  I know it is not exactly black and white, more like black and cream but I love how it turned out anyway.  lol...I had a great time with this one and I can not wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Thanks for stopping by and I will talk at you all tomorrow.

Friday Spy Day #23 {TGFFF#23} Bloom...

TGIF everyone!
I for one am very happy that it is already Friday.  It is going to be another long day for me today, but I am off this weekend so I will just think about that as my day goes bye.  lol.... No, it's all good.
Are you ready for the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog's 23rd Friday Spy Day?  Well if you haven't been over to the FFF blog you should head over to see what the rest of the DT has come up with.  Before you go however you might just want to take a look at Grace's Adorable Card that we found over on the SCS's blog.   Congratulations Grace.
                                                              Grace's Adorable Card!!

I just love how sweet little Stella looks that I was very temped to use her for my Cased version as well.  I then remember all the awesome new Greeting Farm stamps that I have and I just could not resist playing with the adorable Sitting Lovely set from the farm.

I fussy cut my dp to copy Grace's idea and it worked like a charm.   I thing that this little gal is waiting for her Mom and Dad to bring her lunch while they are all enjoying a day at the fair.  lol...
I want to welcome my new followers and I hope that you all have a great Friday and Weekend as well.  Talk  at you later.

Sweet November Preview Day 2 with Penelope & Zip...

Good Morning all.
I hope your week is going great so far.  It has been nice and sunny around here and I am so happy to have this afternoon so that when the M&Ms are off school we can all head out and take a good walk.  lol..  We are all getting into our walking routine once again, and I am so happy that the kids are just as happy about it as Jerry and I are.
Not only is today Thursday and my half day at work it is also the second day of the Sweet November Stamps previews.  Today you will find the adorable team of Penelope and Zip.  I like to think of them as each others best pal.  I decided to make my card look like they headed outside to enjoy the early Spring day.  While Penelope was watching the fluffy white clouds pass by Zip decided her wanted to show her all the tricks that he could do.  I also added some of my white pearls to make it look like dandelions when you blow them all around.  You know when you weren't old enough to know or care that for everyone of them that you blew on would only make more of them grow in your parent's lawn. lol...
I hope that you all have a great day.  Don't forget to visit the rest of the Sweet November Gals' blogs to see what awesome cards they have come up with using these two sweeties.

While you are there be sure to leave them some love and you will be entered to win some of Amy's wonderful blog preview days candy.

Sweet November Stamps PreView & Happy News...

Good Morning all my blogging friends!
I have some really 'Happy' news to share with you all today.  Amy Young the creator of Sweet November Stamps has asked me to be a guest designer for March and of course  I just could not say no.  I have been so excited that she asked me to help with this month's Awesome stamps.  It has taken every bit of my control to not mention it until today.  Thanks Amy!  I love your sweet stamps and I am so honored that you would ask me to be a part of this. :O)
So with my happy news shared it is time for us to start the March preview of Amy's fantastic Sweet November stamps.  Today starts us off with Paprika.  She is an addition to the Spice Fairies, Ginger and Coriander. Today she is sharing a surprise, it would seem that one of her friends is having a Birthday party and she has put on her best gown and sparkled up her beautiful wings just in time to celebrate with her friends.
I had so much fun playing with a new skin tone for her.  I added a little purple just along her hairline to give her a more fairy look.  Then because she is just so sweet looking I added a few of my favorite gem flowers to kind of surround her as I imagined her sitting in the middle of a Spring time meadow listening to all of her little butterfly friends.
I know that I am very excited to see what the rest of the DT ladies have colored up, so I have provided a link for each one.  Be sure to head on over and show them all some love.
                                                      Nancy Thomas
                                                      Marion E
                                                      Amy Young
You can also check out the ATS Blog for even more new releases and to see all the beautiful creations over there as well.
So that's it for me today.  I hope you all have a great day and I will see you back here tomorrow for day two of the Sweet November Stamps.  If you haven't see Amy's stamps before and you can't wait until Friday when all of the March stamps will be for sale you can still head over to the All That Scraps store and see all the other awesome stamps they have.  Have fun everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.

Monday Fun Day - Fairy-Tale Inspired....

Good morning.
It is once again that special time of the week all of us over on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog like to  call Monday Fun Day!   If you haven't played with us before all you have to do is use the theme that we pick and get coloring.   This week we have decided that we would love to see how you can use your Greeting Farm stamps to make up a card or project using a Fairy Tale Inspired Theme.
I used some of my older stamps sets. The first one is the 'Signature set' and  I decided to go with an Alice in Wonderland Theme.  This set comes with Alice, Dorothy from 'the Wizard of Oz' and 'Little Red Riding Hood'.  Then I pulled out the McSplendid Farm stamp set as the cat reminded me so much of the Cheshire Cat.  I know he had a very BIG/FULL tail, but by the time I thought about that I had already done most of my card and just didn't want to redo it.  Who knows, I just might have to take care of that sometime this week.  lol.... Anyway, moving right along I don't recall ever really seeing this movie or for that matter reading it.  I do however remember seeing the one scene where the Cat all of a sudden appears in a tree.  So because I had this really cool looking tree and a cat that would work really well with Alice this is what I decided on.  I did have a great time playing with this however and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  Be sure to head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT ladies have come up with.   They are all so great and it really makes me think "Why didn't I think of that one?"  lol... Oh well gives me some great ideas, and that's what it's all about.

Sorry for the fuzzy picture. He didn't want to hold stil. lol...

I hope that you all had a great weekend.  We had sunshine the whole weekend through, but Saturday the wind blew so hard it kept making my wind chime hit the front window of our house.  The chime are over 5 feet long and made to sound like Church bells, but when it is that windy it worries me to hear them.  Sunday was fantastic and you could not have asked for a better day.  I worked on some DT cards and we even managed a walk halfway through the day.  It was warm enough that about two blocks from home I had to take my jacket off and tie it around my waste.  Yay! I hope that Spring isn't just playing with us.  It felt so good to breath in air that didn't burn from being so cold.  lol... I'm not in anyway complaining what with all the bad tornadoes over the last two day all around.  I grew up in Atlanta for a while and we had a tornado go right by our house.  To this day and we are talking over 30 years ago I just hate to see anything about them.  It is one of the most scary feelings in the world and my heart goes out to all those people affected by it.
Wow didn't mean to get that deep, but I truly hope that everyone is ok and having a fantastic start to their week. I am heading to be as I do work in the morning and 5:30am gets here real quick. lol..
