Springtime Wishes...

Hello everyone.
I hope that you all are doing well and that you have been one of the lucky ones to have some much wanted and needed Spring like weather.  :O)  We have had a ton of Sunshine and a bit of cold, but all in all no complaints as we have been snow free.  I tell you I don't care how busy I am or how tired I get it is always very hard for me to be in a bad mood when that glorious Sunshine is coming through a beautiful blue sky.  You just have to be happy,  right?
I want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me with my absents lately.  You all know that I have been working longer than normal hours due to one of our crew members leaving. They are in the process of interviewing, but that takes time and then training to work in the needs of our store.  So, with all that I am sure I will remain quite busy for a little while longer.  I really don't mind it as that is helping me to save up for a 'Special' semi-formal dress for Madison as she will be going the 'Sweethearts Dance' this coming month with her sweetie.
Ok, so on with the card.  I sat down today to make a couple of cards, but I wanted to use some paper and not really color anything right away. So, I grabbed a newer paper pad from WeR Memory Keepers and one of their tags.  I cut down the tag and matted my papers added some flowers and a little brad or two and there you have it.  :O) Yes, it is a simple card, but I really like how it came out.  I even pulled out some of my LSG Magicals to make my flowers compliment the papers.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday and I will try and talk to you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Hello there....

Hi guys, so sorry for being MIA for so long.  It has just been so busy around here.
I am not sure if I mentioned  that one of the girls at work decided to quit and go back to school as her Parents were willing to pay her to do it.  So, because she was leaving all of us wanted to get her a gift card as a going away present  She is a very big fan of drinking Starbucks, so we all chipped in and bought her a gift card.  I then made her a fun to make card holder that just happens to be in the shape of a coffee cup.  :O)  Needless to say she was very surprised and really happy with both the card and the gift.
Then we have Madison and her boyfriend Daniel that are getting ready to go to the Sweethearts dance next month. Madi and I have been trying to go shopping for a new dress for her and you all know how easy that is to do for Madison,  lol... She is a great girl, but her just knows what she wants and she won't settle for anything less than what she thinks it should look like. :O)
So, as I am sure you really don't want me to spend too much time going over the every little thing that has kept me off my computer for the better part of two weeks, I will just leave it there. lol..
I want to welcome all of my new subscribers and I am working away on what I want to do as a give a way for getting over 150 finally.  It is very exciting to me, so I am hoping that my life slows down a little bit as for right now I am working 40 or more hours a week  until we get the position filled and that really isn't leaving me much time to do much else.  I will tell you that is has been so sunny and beautiful this weekend that Jerry and I have been able to take a couple of much needed and wanted walks.  That makes me sooooo soo happy I can't even tell ya.
Ok guys, I hope you have a great week just in case I don't get back here for a few more days.
Take care all and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G.

You & Me...

    Hi guys,
I hope you have all had a great weekend.  I had a very nice but quick one,  I also had good intentions of getting a few cards made, but alas that didn't really happen. :O)
I did however manage to get this simple, but very cute Valentine's Card made for Madison to give to her boyfriend.  As they have only been dating just a few weeks she wanted it to be a sweet card, but not overly mushy.  lol..
At first I was going to pull out a couple of my Greeting Farm stamps, but then I found this awesome card by Leslie Webster in the Jan/Feb. 2013 Paper crafts magazine.  I thought is was just perfect when I ran across it, and when I showed it to Maddie she thought so as well.
On Leslie's card she stitched around the outside border, but I really didn't want to bring out my machine and I didn't have any brown thread, so I grabbed my Momento pen and made some faux stitches that I think turned out ok, cut I think I would have liked to have sewed it.  Ggggrrr.
All in all this was a really fun card to put together and it really didn't take me too long to do it either.  I even pulled out my heart shaped Coluzzle and made a couple of hearts for the center of my card.  It is always fun for me when I get a chance to pull out tools that I just had to have and really haven't used in forever.  :O)  If you want to check out Leslie's card  remember it is in the Jan/Feb. 2013 issue of Paper crafts magazine on page 33.  I hope it is ok to CASE this card as I really think the whole card is just so sweet.
Have a wonderful Monday everyone and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Young talent....

Awwww, it's finally (almost) Friday and I have made it through yet another very busy week.  I am going to keep this quick a I still work in the morning, but can't seem to go to sleep yet and it well past my bedtime as I get up at 4:45 every morning.   :O)
I really wanted to make sure you guys were able to see this picture that Maddie's boyfriend Daniel has been working on.  I had posted it on my (Kidscreatetwo blog) but come to find out the sketch wasn't completely done.  Daniel still wanted to touch it up and also come up with how he wanted to sign and date his pictures.  I think you will all agree with me that this 15 year old has really got some  talent.  I think that talent no matter who has it or makes it should be shared, so I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
Thanks for letting me share this with you.  I think it really means a lot to Daniel and I know it does to me as well.  Have a great day, and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Cherished...

Good Morning all.
Can you believe it is once again Monday morning?  I don't know I read once that Fridays are so far from Mondays, but Mondays are so very very close to Fridays. Why is that? lol.. Oh well, it is once again Monday and I had a great weekend spent with Jerry and the M&Ms as well as Madison's boyfriend and his 10 year old brother.  Nice boys and we truly had a great time with them.
I have a long day ahead of me, so I will get right to my card for today.  I wanted to play with my Friday Night stamp and when I pulled her out of the stamp box I noticed that poor James was just sitting there having never been inked up.
So, I decided to do a little masking and make a none traditional Valentine's card.  I am thinking this might be the last one for the holiday. :O)  Anyway, I didn't notice until I had stamps them both together that they are actually looking at each other. Don't you just love happy accidents? I sure do!   So, other than the masking, no body swapping or any other fancy stuff I added a little bit of MME accents with two ornament hangers from the Dollar Store and my card was good to go.
I always seem to use the same colors for skin tones and even though I have been trying to change it up a bit I can't seem to find one that I am happy with.  What's your favorite combo for skin tones?  I'd really like to know what your go-to combos are  so that I might practice and see what I like.
Ok guys, I am off to shower and get the kiddies and myself off to work and school for the day.
As always thanks so much for stopping by.  I want to wish my new followers a huge welcome, so happy to get to know you all.  Have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Oh yes, for those that remember Sunday please head over to my Pawpawrazzie blog to see a sweet surprise that Jerry received yesterday!  Thanks again everyone.

You're Positively WONDERFUL...

Hey there all.
Just a quick blog post to share with all of you that don't have to head off to a  party before the big game.  Jerry is planning on watching, but I am hoping to put on my headphones and some Glee Music so I can start crafting away.  We'll just have to see as the kids have their friends coming over again today and I really didn't get too much down yesterday.  Seriously, I think we spent more time laughing with these kids than any other thing at all.   lol...
I don't know if any of you knew about my other two blogs that I have, but as I did put up a couple of posts on them today I thought I would just remind you that they are there and if you have a chance to check them out that would be so great.  The first one is of some of  the creations that my M&Ms make and now I even have a drawing that my Daughter's boyfriend Daniel made.  You can check that out here.  My other blog is about our cats of course and it is called  Pawpawrazzie.  You can check that blog out here.
So for today's card, I used a couple of new stamps from The Greeting Farm and did a little bit of body swapping to have a little different look to my card. I then used some of my Die-Namics to add a little flourish as well.
I hope you all have a great day.  I for one don't really care who wins the game, but I always love the commercials and of course I like to see the half time show.
Talk at you all tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

FFF -Ribbon and/or Lace challenge...

Hi guys.
I have so many things that I want to share with all of you, but just in case you really just want to see my card today and not have to suffer through all my prattle,  (lol)  I will get to my card first thing.
When I came home last night from work I was checking out The Greeting Farm blog and read what this weeks challenge was and  I had the perfect idea  jump into my head.
I pulled out my Blush Heart stamps from The Greeting Farm and stamped them out on some Pure Poppy card stock with my Lady Bug Red  Memento ink just to make them that much more redder.  I then fussy cut them out and used my Tuxedo Black ink pen to outline them.  My thought is that they are stamps after all and why not let them be the focal point of my card.  :O)  I then grabbed some of my Washi tape as accents and a little ribbon with some gems to add a little sparkle.  You can't really tell from my pictures, but I used some foam dots to pop up the hearts and I think this one is good to go. My idea was to make a card look like the ones I used to make for my Mom and Dad when I was little.  You remember those, right? lol...   Anyway, I am very happy with how this turned out and I really had fun using these stamps in such a different way.
Because the hearts are stamps I am going to enter this card  in this week's Farm Fresh Challenge over on The Greeting Farm Blog.

Ok, now if you have hung in there with me I have a couple of very exciting things to share with all of you guys.  First off is the fact that I have finally reached 150 subscribers and I can not tell you how much each and everyone of you means to me.  :O)  Truly you are all just fantastic and it always makes my day to come home and read all of your wonderful comments. I am trying to decided what I want to do to celebrate this with you all, but when I do decide I will be sure and let you all know.  In the meantime ":Thank You all from the bottom of my HEART"
The second thing I wanted to share is small, but a very fun thing that Jerry and I did with the M&Ms last night.  You see Madison is obsessed with the fact that when she gets a car she wants to buy a Mini Cooper. (Yes, my Daughter thinks she is rich!) However, she is smart and has already started to save for it.   Anyway, the car lot that we bought my car from has had one sitting on their lot for the last couple of weeks, so we went over and asked if we could test drive it.  They were very nice and let us drive it around for a little bit.
It is a little red one with a white roof, and it really is a very cute car and I must say really fun to drive.  It is a stick and I haven't driven one in a couple of years, so I really had a great time driving it.  Anyway, the whole point of sharing this is the fact that you would think we had taken Madison to Disney Land.  She was so happy to be in it and to get the chance to drive around in her dream car.  She came home and started texting  all her friends to let them all know about it.  She has to wait a couple more years before she is old enough to drive, but at least she is getting an idea for what she wants and what it is going to take for her to get it.
If you've made it this far I thank you for letting me carry on.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Thinking of you...

Happy February first everyone!
Can you believe that it is already February?  Where oh where does the time go?   I can not believe that my M&Ms are already into their second semester of High School.  :O)
Thank you everyone for the well wishes yesterday.  Mitchell and I both headed back to school and work and we are both feeling a lot better as of this morning.
So, I think as I still need to get ready for work I had better get right to my card for today.  This is one of those cards that I really just put together as I wanted to play around with a few of my stamps that hadn't been inked up yet.  I grabbed my new  WS - Gracie from The Greeting Farm and then I pulled out this cute frame from  Lawn Fawn that I have had for at least two months and still had not used.  Once I put them together it reminded me of looking at a picture of an old friend and how you might start to thinking about that friend. With that in mind I decided to make this a 'Thinking of You'  kind of card.
I also wanted to leave the picture as my focal point, so I left the rest of my card pretty simple and you'll even notice that I didn't even use a gem for the whole card.  Yes, I did use one little enamel dot so it would look like a tack in the wall where the picture hangs.  :O)   I really had fun with this one and with the fact that the whole card was really made just for me to color and not have a specific need in mind.  It is fun from time to time to just play and not worry about it going to someone or for that matter being made for anyone else.  :O)
Hope you like it and I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.
Take care and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
