Thank you...

Hi guys,
Happy Easter to all that celebrate it!  I am so missing my blogging time and I thought that I would take a moment and say "Hello" to all of you.  I hope that you are all having a wonderful Sunday.
It is such a beautiful day here is Washington State.  The sun is shining and at the moment it is 72 degrees. I just love Spring.  :O)  While today is Easter it is also Jerry's 49th Birthday.  The only down part of today is that the kiddos are just now starting to recover from the virus that attached them last week.
I tell you in the 15 years that we have had our children we have never seen so many fevers. This virus lasted all of the week and everyday one of them would have a fever ranging from 100.9 to 102.3.... We ended up at the Dr's office twice and each time they told us just to make them comfortable and not worry.  The very weird thing is that I talked to my Sister-in-law today to wish them all a Happy Easter and it would seem that they have been dealing with the very same issues as well.  Mind you, they live over a 100 miles from us and we haven't even been together or seen them in a long time.  Weird!
So as I have been going on now I will get to it.  I am still not able to color as much as I want to due to my hands, so I am trying to come up with cards that don't require it.  ( I have to confess that I am so over this. lol ) Anyway, it is getting better and I can't wait to buy a few new stamps and go on a coloring binge.  lmbo....  In the meantime I had a very very sweet friend do me a very nice favor on Friday, so I really wanted to send her a "thank you" card.  I found a similar card in one of my card magazines and thought I would try and make something like it.  I was even able to pull out my memory box button dies and use them,  as out of all the thousands of buttons I have I couldn't find any that I liked to go with my papers.
Well guys that's it for me today.  I hope you all have a great week and I hope to talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Let's Hang...

Hi guys.
I'm still here, just can't seem to catch a break in my schedule at home and work.  lol... To add to being uber busy I also have both the M&Ms in different stages of a viral infection that is causing massive headaches and fevers from 100.9 to 101.6.
I'm not complaining as it is Spring and with the longer days you just can't help but be in a good mood.  It just makes my days.
Hope you are all well. I can not wait to have some time to come around and visit you all.  Until I do I hope you all know how much I really look forward to all your sweet words.
So, as I have a shivering teenager I had better hit the road.  Hope you talk to you all later
Hugs, Lisa G

Sending love...

Hi guys,
Yes, I am finally back and even though I had to work on Saturday I had a bit of time to make a few cards to share with you this week.  :O)
My hands are getting better but I still can't seem to spend a lot of time coloring.  Due to that fact I have been able to check out and even come up with different ways of making cards without using too many  stamps or my Copic Markers.  Even though I have enjoyed coming up with different kinds of cards I  have to confess that I still enjoy using my images with  Copics to make my cards more.  :O)  I am sure that you all can understand that.
Even though,  I wanted  to start the week off with a card that I found a similar idea in a magazine.  I loved how they used the kraft and white along with a separate color to make the card stand out.    I really am super happy with how it came out and I think I just might have to come up with something like this for an Easter card next weekend.  lol...
Ok guys, tomorrow starts yet another long week for me, so I am going to get myself ready for an early bed.  I hope you all had a super weekend and that your weather has been treating you well.
Hope to talk at you all tomorrow.
Thanks ever so much for all the sweet comments.  I am so hoping to get around to everyone again real soon. Take care all.
Hugs, Lisa G

You're something Special...

Hi guys,
I hope you are all having a great week so far.  I am still very busy but wanted to drop in to share yet another card I was able to get made.  lol
So, have you ever purchased a stamp that you just had to have and then it sits on your desk, or if you're as bad as me in your drawer for almost 9 months? Well, this poor little stamp has been here since this last summer and up until Sunday it had never even come close to an ink pad. lol...
I was digging through my stamps when I found little Jerome just sitting there waiting ever so patiently for someone to color him up.  I figured since I can't really color too much or too in depth that he would be a perfect stamp to make up a card with.  :O)
So here you go guys.  A super quick card with a very simple design for Spring. I hope you like him.  My shading isn't that great, but I had a great time playing with my Copics. I think this card works great for Spring as well as for a boy.
I want to thank everyone that has been so good to me and left such sweet comments this week. It really makes me feel so good.  Thanks so much.  I can't wait to get back into my blogging and card making.  Hope you all have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

a little message for you...

Good morning.
It feels so good to be making a few cards once again.  Even though I really haven't made too many that required me to color I still had a lot of fun coming up with different ways of making cards that didn't use my Copics or too many stamps.
I do however really want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me until my life gets back on track.. I can't even begin to express how much it meant for me to come home yesterday to all of your sweet comments on my rather simple card.  So "Thank You from the bottom of my heart!"
I am running behind and need to get a move on, so I will get right to it. Today's card came about from a new set of Spellbinder dies that Jerry purchased for me.  I wanted to make a card with them and didn't want to wait until I was able to color up a cute stamp, so I figured why not just cut out some different papers from the same paper pad and see what they came out looking like on a card.  Well, as you can see, not too bad.  lol...
Ok guys, now I really have to boogy. Sorry for the short blog post, but my hands are really not letting me do too much extra and it takes so much to work on my laptop with these braces on.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs,  Lisa G

Have a Fluffy Day...

Hi guys.
I have so much to share with you all, but my carpal tunnel (that I have had to deal with off and on since I was pregnant with my oldest)  seems to have become very irritated with all the hours I have been putting in at work lately.  :O)  It's not too bad, but it does mean wearing my braces once I get home from work,  and not being able to get around to leaving too many comments on everyone's blogs.  Do hope you all forgive me and know that I do still try to check out all your wonderful blogs and creativity in the mornings before work...
So with that and and all the overtime I have just been so so busy and just not able to do all that I want to do in my own time..  It looks like it is going to be several more weeks before we are hoping to get back to our usual schedules at work.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  Don't mind the extra hours, but I would LOVE  to be able to feel my fingers again.  lol...
I did however get some time to clean my desk today and make up a few cards that I am hoping to share this week.
Today's card I made because I really really want to get 'heat embossing' down.  Then I realised that The Greeting Farm's Double-Take Tuesday challenge was to use brown and blue and as I had this adorable ribbon in my stash I decided to go with it.  lol..
Well as this is taking a very L.O.N.G. time to type this post I will wish you all a wonderful Monday and talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
