Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm...

April Showers Bring May Flowers:

Hi guys,  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I really want to thank you all for the nice comments on the Wedding Invitations.  I am still hard at work on them, but I really wanted to play along with The Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at the Greeting Farm this week.
So due to the fact that I wanted to play along and I really really wanted to color up my new Hatter Bean I just couldn't help but take a break from the invitations.  I grabbed my Copics and a couple embossed stickers and came up with what I thought was a kind of backwards card but fun all at the same time.  You might see the front of this one and wonder were are my May flowers, but much like Spring  you really just have to wait for those showers to pass to get to all the beautiful flowers.  lol   So as you can see you have to open this card up to get to the goodies.  :O)  Sorry, I just really am happy with how this came together.
I hope you all have a great start to your week.. I am back to work and then of course back to getting those 110 invitations done.  Mind you I did not consider that a 110  invitations really meant 110 card bases, 220 corner dies and 220 fancy dies, along with 110 envelopes that need the initial stamped on the back.  Then there is 110 RSVP cards and 110 envelopes that I cut out with my Grand Caliber as well as a 110 reception cards.  lol... Not complaining, just really did not realize how many little things go into making those 110 invitations.  It is a labor of love and I am most honored to do them. A bit nervous as I don't want to mess then up,  but very honored indeed.
I am  thankful that I was feeling lazy about not really working on them and that is when it occurred to me how much work I needed to get done.  Thank goodness I have been off work since Wednesday our Anniversary  through today.  I really have been able to get a lot of things done and that includes a big amount of those cards.  lmbo...
Take care everyone and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

This is the front of my card.

This is the inside of my card.  Don't know why there is a glip on the top of it as you can see in the close up
of her that it isn't there.

Busy busy, busy...

Hi guys,
I am so missing making my daily posts and sharing wonderful cards that I just had to make.  :O)  Not complaining, just missing everyone and so can not wait to get life lined back up for us all here at Casa Gobea.  lol
I got up this morning and thought it was finally time to share what I have been up to off and on now for a couple of months.
My cousin's daughter ( I think that makes her my 2nd cousin, but she calls me Aunt and I call her my niece) is getting marries in August and she asked if I would make her Wedding Invitations for her.  I of course agreed and then I found out that she really had no idea what she wanted, she just knew that everything she had seen so far in magazines and all,  she did not like. ***!!!!**????!!! Talk about pressure.  lol...  I think I worried about that for at least three weeks.
      So after worrying I finally decided just to make a card that I thought looked good and see what she thought.  I am very happy and thankful that she loved it and so for the last month off and on  I have been making her invitations, RSVP cards and envelopes.  They are coming along, but every time I put one together I worry that I am going to mess it up.  :O{
Anyway just wanted to share and see what you all think.  Over the last two days I have cut and glued 100 envelopes for the RSVP cards and now I am starting to put together the invitations.  I decided the easiest way to make them all was in steps.  I cut out all the fancy dies then I cut out the Spellbinders label and used my glossy pens for the edging and now I have started to assemble them all.  This is truly a labor of love.  I just want it all perfect as this is her Wedding and I would be so so sad to think that these were anything but perfect for them.
Ok, so that is enough about me.  I hope that you are all doing wonderfully.  I miss you all and I hope to get some time to come and say "Hi" in person soon.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

I don't know why this card looks dirty, but it truly isn't.  I have since decided to use foam mounts on the first panel to
give it a little more depth.

Also, the colors look weird, but I am using the Natural White by Neenah for all of these, so  they have a creamy tint to them.  Not white and not deep cream.  Just classic light cream.  lol  Sorry just want you to get the idea of what they truly
look like.

MONDAY Monday....

Hi there.
I hope you all had a great weekend.  We had a little bit of rain and sunshine, along with a whole bunch of wind.  lol... It is early spring here in the basin, so wind really isn't that unusual.
I am getting ready to head to bed as I have something going on with my ears that I was lucky enough to wake up with this morning and I am hoping with some much needed rest and a little bit of Tylenol it will calm down in the am.  As for right now I am a bit grumpy with everyone,  as it sounds like I have ear muffs on both my ears and with everyone talking and the TV on it is just driving me insane.  I figure if they are still bugging me in the morning (my ears not my family, lol)  I will just see if I can get into to see my  Dr at lunchtime.
Anyway before I do head off to bed I wanted to share my Monday Morning Creeper with you all.  She came in the mail Friday and the first thing that Madison said was how much she thought that she looked just like her with her little skull shirt on.  Yes, my sweet teenager loves to wear shirts that have skulls on them.  I do have to admit that for skulls they are the cute kind and not too graphic so you feel that your looking at the real thing.  That just wouldn't go around here.  lol...
So with the fact that Maddi liked her so much I of course had to color her up with colors that Maddi would wear and make her a card all her own.
I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week.  Mine is sure to be short and fast as I will be on VACATION  from Wednesday until the following Monday.  I am so excited for the much needed time off. It all started as a way for Jerry and I to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary that is April 24th.  I had signed it off a long time ago planning that we would have a great time and maybe even head out of town for a day, but that fell through do to finances, so we are just going to spend some quality time together and hopefully enjoy some beautiful weather while doing it.
Take care everyone and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

greetings...

Hi guys,
Well, as you can see I haven't been around a lot once again.  I am so hoping that some day soon my life will start to get back into it's normal rhythm again.  Until it does I am still trying to come around and see what everyone has been doing.
I do have a card that I made on Sunday that I am just now getting a chance to put up before I head off to bed.  It is a very simple card and I had so much fun just coloring and listening to Glee.  (I so need to practice some more with hair, I can not believe how out of practice I am!)  I think of this card as simple, but when you see my list of supplies I think you will be surprised.  lol..
Hope you all like it and I hope that you are all doing well.  I finally splurged on Tuesday and picked up Monday Morning from The Greeting Farm, so I can not wait until she gets here.  heehee... Keep your fingers crossed for me that I will be using my Copics come this weekend on a very tired look little stamp.  :O)
Take care and I will talk at you all later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Hello...

Hi guys,
I hope that you have all had a great week so far.  I am so happy that it is finally Friday even if I do have to work Saturday.  Yay!
So, we will be getting back to our old schedules pretty soon and I am so happy to start having more time with my family again.  I always laugh to myself when you work more hours and people tell you "well at least you'll have more money for bills and things".   I don't know about any of you, but I am here to tell ya that even with all the hours I haven't been able to buy any new stamps since this whole thing start.  lol... Not because I didn't want any of those new Adorable Greeting Farm stamps, but because Uncle Sam likes my money just as much if not more than I do.
It would also seem that the universe decided that I had extra income and didn't need it so every little thing that wanted to break down or have a problem has done so.  Not complaining as I was happy to have had that little extra we had to use on want we needed it, but I can not wait to get caught up again so I can get some of those stamps.  I have been lurking around everyone's blogs and the Greeting Farm as well and I think they are all so so CUTE!!!   I am truly jealous of everyone at the moment and I am just waiting for our lives to calm down just a little bit so that I can get back at my desk and play with a few new stamps.  :O)
However, I am not so sure if I remember how to color.  I did manage to make a simple, but fun card last night just so I could share with you all.  ( You'll notice that there is still no coloring going on, but soon I promise ) I made this one out of a puffy sticker and some of my dies.  I will confess that I really like how it came out.  Simple but I think pretty and fun all rolled into one nice looking cards.  lol....
So guys, I need to get to bed so I can be alive come time to head out that door again.
Oh wow, I completely forgot to share with everyone that my oldest M&M made the Honor Roll this last week. His name was in the paper and his Sister whom is making great grades as well wasn't too happy about it, but she did make Honor Roll last year when he didn't so she has moved on from the pouting.  hee hee ...
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday, and for my friends that have already started their weekends, have  a wonderful weekend as well.
Talk to you soon.
Hugs, Lisa G

Enjoying a Spring afternoon....

Hi guys,
I hope you have been having a wonderful weekend.  We have been lucky enough to get some sunshine in between a little bit of rain, and because of that we actually were able to get in three walks this weekend.  Yes, even with my uber busy work schedule lately I have been enjoying the time once I get home from work to take a much needed walk.  It just makes me feel so good and I can't tell you how much it makes for a relaxing evening once we get home.  :O)
I wanted to share these adorable pictures of Boo and Casper sharing the back window seal together on Friday evening when we got home.  It would seem that Spring is in the air and the cats are very much enjoying it very much as well.
Have a great evening and I hope to talk at you all soon.
Hugs, Lisa G

I guess it makes Casper very tired to watch outside.  lol.. What a yawn!

you totally ROCK...

TGIF!
Good Morning!  I hope you have all had a great week.
Isn't it amazing how fast a week can go by?  I have to tell you this week has just flown by and I don't think it's just because the M&Ms were on Spring Break.  :O)
I am very happy with myself as I managed a full week of cards to share and I am hoping that this is just the start on the road back to blog hopping and getting around to see what everyone has been busy with while I have been absent from my home life.  lol...
Anyway, as it is Friday and I am in a great mood I thought I would share a card with you that I actually colored up with my Copic markers and used one of my favorite Creeper Crew stamps from The Greeting Farm.  On the note of Creeper Crew stamps can you believe that at this moment I still haven't gotten the oportunity to purchase the new addition to the Crew?  I think her name is Monday Morning as I think she is adorable, but even with the extra hours I have been trying to pay bills and get caught up with other things that we  need for our home and such.  :O)  I figure sometime soon I will get her though.  In the mean time I am just very happy to have been able to color up little James here.  He looks so spiffy and even though it's not my best coloring by far I still had a great time coloring and listening to my GLee music.
Ok guys, thanks for haning in there with me.  Have a wonderful Friday and weekend to follow.  Talk at you later.
Hugs,  Lisa G

SMILE...

Hi again,
I have yet another Birthday card for you today.  This is one that I made last week and just never got around to sharing with you all.  It is a little bit blingy for me, but it was something new I was trying out.
I can't remember what YouTube channel I was watching, but they sell the Ziva bling and she was saying that you should give it a go and color it with your Copics to make it work with your cards and such.  Well, as I have a lot Ziva from last year when we went on our craft shopping spree I decided that it would be fun to try it.
As you can see I pulled out a flower set and colored it up to go with some of my favorite papers.  I also used another of the Spellbinders that I have had for a long time and not used as well.  lol... I guess that when you can't color you tend to use other things that you forgot that you even had.
Hope you like it.  Have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

it's your birthday!

Good morning all.
Well it's half way through the week and I have to say that I am sure glad of it.  It is has been a busy one as always, but oh well we're getting near to the end of it once again.
As I was busy making cards over the weekend I thought I would make up a card or two out of some of the Washi tape that I have.  I needed to make a 'Birthday' card for my friend's daughter, so as she is still a teenager I thought that I would go with some bright colors.
It is a simple card, but I think I am happy with how it came together all in all.
Well, it is getting late and even though the kids are on Spring break I still have to be to work, so I will say "bye for now".
Have a great day and I'll talk to you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Hi....

Hi again, everyone.
I know it's amazing that I have posted three days in a row, but I really am missing my blogging time and I can not wait as very soon I will have a somewhat normal schedule again. YAY! ( The M&Ms don't know as I am keeping it a surprise for them.)  :O)  Can you tell that I am a much happier person when I get my family time in?  I don't mind working, but I am a Mom that loves to be home more than anything in the whole world,.  I've always said that I would have been happy to be a wife in the 1950s. lol..  And I can NOT wait until next week.
Anyway, here again is a simple card for you all.  I decided to pull out some of those long forgotten letter stickers that we all have in our cupboards.  I thought sweet but simple on this one and as I haven't been able to have coffee with my friend in over a year that I would send her a quick card.
Have a great day everyone and I'll talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Dream...

Hi.
I thought as I was able to get a couple cards made up this weekend that I would schedule them so as I would have a little something to share with you all.
Happy April Fools Day everyone!
Today's card is another no coloring one.  I decided to let the papers do the talking for me on this.  I grabbed a Spellbinder set that I have had for at least six months now and never cut from. I then used this really pretty bird and sentiment from the paper set to make my front of this one.  Easy peasy.  :O)
Hope your week is off to a good start.  Take care and I'll talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
