OWL BE THERE...HAPPY NEW YEARS !

Good morning everyone. Happy New Years to everyone. Jerry and I are basically boring people, so we don't do much for New Years Eve. Even before we had children we went out to parties, but we always came home before midnight...lol...We are just boring I tell you. We will probably go over to my Mom and Dad's tonight. My Sister and her family are going to be there, so we should have fun playing cards and basically being loud...I hope you have a safe and fun evening. I would have to say that I am mostly looking forward to tomorrow when Club Anya has it's big release party...Now that is the way to start a new year!

My card today is my 4th in the 12 days of sketches. I wanted to make a fun card, so I used my owl stamp from Forest Friends. I think he is so cute, and whoooo doesn't like owls? Good morning all. Yes, I am running late this morning. I am feeling soooo much better, but the migraine is still in the background. Unfortunately, that I think is the reason that I slept in this morning. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty on time to get ready for work. I just really like to have a couple of hours that are my own time....lol...I know I am super weird..My poor son seems to be taking after his Mommy.... :( Sorry, ran off the track there. Today's card is my 3rd card of the 12 sketches from TGF. I used my Rock star Anya because she just makes me smile..She is just one happy girl playing her wild guitar! I also used the sentiments from Happy Chief, both are from TGF. I then drew in a curtain and a stage for her to play on and she is ready to rock in the New Year...Got to run, have a great day. Good Tuesday morning to everyone. I hope that your Monday went well. I ended up getting a migraine at work and came home. I went straight to bed after taking some nausea medicine. I am feeling somewhat better this morning, but it is still there in the background..... I have to work today, so I am hoping that it holds off.

Well, because being on the computer only aggravates it I will make this very quick. Today's card is for the 2nd sketch in the 12 days of sketches over at the Greeting farm. I am sad to say that the stamp I used I colored at least two weeks ago and I have no idea what Copics I used..I am however very please with how she turned out, and that is why I went ahead and used her.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am soooo excited about the January releases. They are all so cute, and I have been hoping that they would make Amy's Wild Sprouts into rubber...YAY!

Good morning. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. Isn't it just amazing how fast Christmas comes and goes? I am one of those people that once it is over, it's over. I am sad to say that New Years has never really been a favorite of mine, so we really don't do much for it. I am always looking to just get on with it, so we can get back into our normal routine of things. I know what you are thinking, Party Pooper! What can I say, my tree is already put away for next year.

Ok, now that you know one of my dark secrets I'll get on with my card for today....lol..I made this card for the twelve days of Sketches that the Greeting farm is hosting this week. I really like working on projects like this because it causes me to think outside of the box. I used colors that I don't normally use and a design that isn't one of my old standbys. I do love how this one came out though, and I thought that I would save it for Jerry for Valentines Day...Or maybe just give it too him. BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE.........

Good morning to you... I hope that everyone had a great Christmas, and that Santa was good to you. Ours was low key, but very fulfilling. We spent the day at home playing with the kids. On Christmas eve we get new PJ's for all of us. Jerry and Mitchell get the same and Madison and I get the same. Madison loves...Betty Boop, so I try to find a new set that has both our sizes. So far I have been pretty lucky. lol...The kids really enjoy this new tradition that we started last year. Madison says that this is something she intends to do with her children. I just love that. Anyway, we got up yesterday took showers and spent the whole day in our new PJ's....It was so much fun. I would be perfectly content to spend each and every day with my kids like that. Unfortunately we all like to eat, so work always gets in the way...lol..

Ok, I have rattle long enough. Last month when All that Scraps had their after Thanksgiving sale I ordered all of Amy Young's fairies in rubber. I still have not received them, and they can not find my payment. I think something happened in the mail.... :( So, while I wait to find out what happened to my money order Jerry purchased the digis for me as part of my Christmas present. I think that I have mentioned before that I don't enjoy digis as much as I do rubber, but I soooo wanted to play with these stamps. Well yesterday I got the opportunity to play, and I soooo did...lol...Me thinks that it has more to do with holding something in my hands than anything else, because I had a great time with this digi....What can I say, I am a scrapbooker and now a stamper with an addiction. lol....I know you know what I am talking about...lol... Good morning everyone. Well, we are almost there. Christmas is in the very COLD air. I for one wish it would snow. I like snow for Christmas, and I will even enjoy it up till New Years day then I am sooo ready for spring. Today is a quickly as I have to work all day and then get some last minute things done. I have not even wrapped one gift. I will be happy for tomorrow, as I only work till 1pm and then I will be off!!!!Yay me, I have until Monday off..

BELIEVE IN MIRACLES....

Good morning everyone. Can you believe that Christmas is just 4 days away? I know I can't. I am just as excited as my kids though. I love to buy them presents that I know they wanted so bad....They are priceless when they rip open those gifts. Even Lucy is getting a stocking this year. Does anyone know of a good toy to buy a 9 month old kitten? I realise that she is much like little kids. WE INTERUPT TODAY'S NORMALLY SCHEDULED POST FOR.....

My new ATG 714!!!! Merry Christmas to me.. After spending $5 to $10 each week on my glue for my cards Jerry and I decided that investing in an ATG gun would be a good thing. Sooooo, I received my Christmas present early..I don't mind one bit.lol.....I love it. It is easy to load, and the tape costs soooo much less in the long run. I was only able to purchase 2 rolls of adhesive at this time, but I am sure it will last me longer that a week..lol...(unless I go crazy) When I came home at lunch time it was sitting on my desk.. I unwrapped the package and put the box on the floor, at which point our cat Lucy decided that the box was a gift for her and spent the better part of the afternoon sleeping in it. MERRY CHRISTMAS.....

Good morning everyone. I hope that you all had a great weekend. I worked on Saturday, so mine was a short one..I can not wait however for this week! Our pharmacy will be closing at 1pm on Thursday, and I don't have to work again until Monday so I am a very happy girl...lol...For those of you that know me, you know that I can not wait to give someone a present once I have bought it. This goes for Christmas as well. Thank goodness for Jerry, or the kids would not have anything to open on Christmas because I would have already given everything to them.lol..Yes, I know that is not good, but I believe that I inherited this trait from my Dad. Poor Jerry, I think in the 17 years we have been married that he has gotten his Birthday gift on his Birthday maybe a total of 2 times..lol...Now that you know my deep dark secret I will get on with my card for the day.

When I started my cards for the week I was not sure if I was going to do anymore Christmas related cards. I then decided that I was going to make cards from the digi stamps that Amy Young drew herself and gave to me as a gift. PLEASE LET ME INTRODUCE JERRI & TERRI LEE

Happy Sunday to everyone. I can not remember if I have every mentioned that my Mom sews doll clothes...She sews mostly for Terri Lee and Jerri Lee dolls. These dolls have been around since she was a little girl in the 40's & 50's. When they came out the company hired women to hand sew each and everyone of the dolls clothes. One year for Christmas they even sold a mink coat for Terri. My Mom has all the original patterns and makes up her own as well, to sell on eBay. If you ever shop on eBay you will see the amount of money that people will pay for the dolls and their clothes today. My Mom has always sewed....we are talking regular clothes, prom dresses , wedding dresses and now these wonderful doll clothes.

Last week she designed and sewed a ball gown and tuxedo for the dolls to go to the White house for a New Years Eve party. The gown has a real mink stole and the tux was made from my Grandpa's tuxedo that wore. She had one of her regulars buy it and ask for it to have an invitation so that Terri & Jerri would not be kicked out. This is were I come in. Mom gave me a call and asked if I could make her up one to send with the clothing. It was very fun to make, even though I would not read what I was typing on the computer because it was so small. The lady was very pleased with everything including the little invitation. She decided she needed to take them to work.

I have to tell you that sometimes I fell very foolish when I spend my money on my Copics or more stamps....Well maybe just a little...lol...This gal paid $175.00 for this set...Not feeling foolish anymore!..Have a great day everyone, Lisa G

YES, I AM STILL HERE!

Hi everyone. Yes, I am still here. I have just had one of those weeks that by the time I got home from work and took care of family things (Christmas shopping with Jerry) I was just too tired to make anything....lol...I work this morning, but I am soooo ready to get to crafting when I get home.! The tree is up, and most of the kids' presents have been purchase.....so I should be able to craft all I want when I get home. Right????lol....Well, because I have not posted much this week I thought I would show you a little note card that I made just for fun last night. I have been trying to go through my scrapbook supplies that I have never used, and try to use them up. With my card today I was able to use some of the this & that from My Mind's Eye, Inc. that I purchased from QVC years ago. I just soooo had to have these, and I really think this is the first one that I have used...because I did not plan on posting this I only took pictures of the Copics I used.Sorry. INKIN' OF YOU..

Hi guys. I know I really have not put anything up since Monday's blog hop, but it has been a busy week and not really one of the greatest for me...I thought that I would share with you a little project that I am still working on. I ran across the cutest note card book idea(sorry I don't remember who) and just had to give it a try. She is almost done except for the pencil and pencil holder part. However I am sure you can get the idea.. The book part itself is sooooo easy! I was just waiting to find small pencils. Not an easy thing at all..lol...I am really proud of myself though, because I was able to take my digi-Ebony and put her with my HG-Laundry...For that I have to thank Amy Young for all of her inspiration! ICY DAY OFF........

Omword...I can not believe it. I got up this morning, got the kids and myself ready to go and thought about checking the local news for schools. I even turned the T.V. on and got my son his breakfast after his shower. Then as he asked me if he could change the channel I completely forgot about school closers...In my defence however I do have a whooper of a headache today due to a sinus infection..I even forgot to get the antibiotic last night before leaving work. So off we head(after I got the car door unstuck from the ice on it)to school only to come around the corner and see a poor kid running after his Mom as the police officer is flashing his light to no avail..Poor kido, got to take a ride this morning..I had to ring the school 5 times just to prove to the kids that indeed the school was closed due to icy roads! Yay kids, so sorry Dad! I thought that as I still have not done any projects for you that I would show you a picture of the lady next doors driveway. My hubby will be deicing it before I am finished..She is the sweetest and we love her like my grandma....Have a great day all and stay save. Lisa G
