HANG IN THERE, CHRISTMAS IS ON IT'S WAY...

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a great weekend. It just goes sooooo fast..We need to have a shorter work week and a longer weekend. No, I have not taken anything, I just need more time OFF! With pay of course.....lol... NO? Ok I'll come back to earth now. So sorry for the late post, but I think that I needed some sleep. I actually slept in till 8am this morning, and it felt soooo good. I have a very busy day today. I have to make three cards for a friend and then I need to get my cards made for the week, so I had better keep this somewhat short. hehehe..I wanted to share with you a card that I made using a very very talented ladies digi stamp. Yes, I made it a slide card. I am having such a good time making them. They are so cute and really do not take any extra work at all. Sorry for the upside-down marker in my picture, I did not notice it until today. It really bothers me, but I need to get this up before tonight.lol..

So in order to get my work done I will get on with this. I hope you have a great Sunday. Lisa G

HEY DUDE...100 POSTS!

Hi everyone. I can not believe it, this is my 100th post. I am not even sure how that is possible. I really never thought about it when I started my blog. I also never thought I would already have 16 followers. So I really want to do something to thank all of you for your help(computer repeller here)and support as well as all of you wonderful comments. You really have no idea how it makes me feel to come home from work and read them all. It is really great.
I am thinking on doing a blog candy to celebrate my little milestone. You will have to check in with me next week to see what I come up with...lol...My card today is from a new stamp that I bought from TGF. Hence my post title...I hope you have a wonderful Saturday. I am off to work, but you can believe that I will be stamping when I get home at 1:30pm. hehehe, Lisa G

BLACK FRIDAY ?????

Black Friday? Why is it called black Friday? Who comes up with these things? I know what you are suppose to do on Black Friday, but why name it that?? Does anyone know? I know I sound just a little cranky, but my poor Daughter has been sick for a couple of days now. Last night was not a good one for her or me. She was up and down getting sick, and when she did get 5 minutes to sleep she tossed and turned all night.....I am trying to type quietly as she seems to be getting some shuteye at the moment.
So, good morning everyone......I hope you all had a fabulous turkey day. My card today is another Christmas one, but one that I am very proud of as I used quite a few stamps to make it. I love to get tips from all of you on how you do things, and then give them a try...So for my card I used some of Amy Y's tips and some of Cindy H's design style. I am in no way saying that I am as good or even close to as good as these to wonderful ladies, I am just giving it a go...So, here is my little Christmas card. Let me know what you think..Have a great black Friday and I'll see you tomorrow..Lisa G

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.....

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone....I hope you all have a wonderful day. I just wanted to let you know just how thankful I am for all of you....I really did not think that anyone other than my Mom and my Sister-in-law would really bother with my little old blog..You have been so sweet, and I can not tell you just how much your wonderful comments mean to me. They are like my very own treat at the end of my work day. I come home, kiss my Husband and kids, say hi to the cat and then I get to read all of your comments. It is my way of unwinding after a day at work. So thank you.

Today I am really excited to show you my card. I have to tell you that I had an extra 1/2 hour in the morning so I was blog hopping when I came across another easel card..Along with the card they gave really simple instructions on how to make it. So, me being me I decided to just cut the card stock to play around. One thing lead to another, and before you knew it I had made my very first easel card....I could not believe just how easy it was. lol..You'll be soooo sick of seeing them....lol....So this card is for everyone..Pamper Yourselves today and have a wonderful TURKEY day! RUNNING BEAR, LOVED LITTLE WHITE DOVE.....

Hi everyone. Do you remember this song? I just love this song. No, I am not that old....When I was in my teens I bought all of these cassettes that had the best of the 50s & 60s on them. I just loved to listen to them. I started to hear this song in my head this morning when I looked at the pictures I had taken of this card. My wonderful friend Erin came over on Sunday and wanted me to help her put together a card for her 6 month anniversary with her boyfriend. I know you won't believe it, but it does not have one stamp on the whole card.....Don't worry, I have not lost my mind..Just helping a friend to see her vision of what she wanted her card to look like. I did however use my Cricut to cut out the word love and the hearts. Erin did some adjusting to the photos and added the words on the inside. The two photos together are on the inside..I think it turned out really cute. See what you think. Have a great Pre-turkey day all. I am off to work. Lisa G

DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY!

Good morning everyone. Sorry about the title, I just could not resist..You get a song into your head and you just can't get it OUT no matter if it is a good song or a bad song.lol..I hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday. We were soooooo busy at work today. You know, everyone is trying to get their medicine before leaving for the holiday...I have to say, the day just flew by. I do hate it though when you tell someone that you had a busy day at work and they tell you " Well, at least your day went by fast." I mean come on, sometimes you need it to slow down a little to get all that work done.....lol...Ok, I'll be good. Have I mentioned that my kids knew the meaning of the work sarcasm by the time they were 3 &4? My husband likes to tell me to same some of it for the rest of the world and my kids call me the sarcasm queen..Bawhahahaaaaaaaa! I am good with that title though..I gots to be me. Wow, sorry to ramble. I guess I need to burn off something this morning. Ok, ok be Happy. That is what my card this morning is about. I pulled out my Cricut this weekend and decided to play around making a circular card. I really had a fun time with it and I used one of my new stamps. I hope you like it. I used yellows because this time of the year when the sun is limited just a little bit of the yellow really helps to make me happy. Have a great day. Lisa G

ANYONE FOR ANYA?

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was very fast, but a very good one. I however can not say that for today so far. I seem to be have a problem with blogger this morning. I had typed up my post this morning telling how I had cleaned out my scrapbook closet and decided to us my Cricut once again for my cards and how I had really gotten quite a bit of work done.....When I went to add my pictures all of my words were no where to be found...Grrrrhhhh... I don't have much time to get into all the details now as I have two kids to help get ready for school and myself to work....So without any of the chitchat, I will say that this is my Pretty Hat Anya that Amy Y (Thank you Amy) helped me to locate....I made this card for the Anyone for Anya challenge this week that is Make a Fake...Miss Anya is wearing her faux pearls and standing in front of some faux lace...If you know anything about me, you know that I would rather have a little bit of something real than a whole lot of something fake....lol....However little Miss Anya really does look so cute....Have a great day. I think I'll have to skip my supplies today, Sorry, Lisa G

SEASON'S GREETINGS....

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a card that I made for my Daughter and Son's Choir teacher. At the beginning of next month they will be performing their Holiday Concert.. They just love this teacher, and let me tell you she is a true choir teacher. She has taught them how to write music, how to sing in key and how to read that music...I think this is great as the last couple of years they would have a CD going for the kids to sing along with. Not Mrs Warness, she even knows how to play the piano..So as a thank you to her I made them a card with the beautiful Angel Emms from All that Scraps...In my mind the angels were kind of floating on the notes, but I don't think it quite looks like it. I just hope to keep at it and get better. My kids of course think it is perfect(I think it is cause their Mom made it)in their opinions..I hope she likes it. I wanted it for the night of their concert, but they want it now, so now is when she gets it. Thank you Mrs Warness for all your hard work, and for sharing your talents with my children. Have a super Friday everyone, Lisa G

JUST FOR YOU....

Good morning everyone. I hope you made it through the middle of the week ok..Just one more day still Saturday! Hopefully my Husband and I will be going to see New Moon on Saturday.....I so can not wait. Did you watch Glee last night? It has become my families Thursday night show. Even my Son had to watch it last night. Being 12, he had better things to be doing until he heard us all last week enjoying it. lol..I had better get to my card, got to get kids to school and myself to work. I made my card from the Autumn Anya and Autumn Ian from The Greeting Farm. I just love them, and hope that they make them into rubber....(hint.hint) I actually had my friend in mind when I made this card. It is her boyfriend and hers first Thanksgiving together, so I knew that they would really love getting a card that looked like them. Hopefully she does not check this post. :D If so, Love you Erin and Alex. Sorry about the glare on my pictures. I could not get the overlay to photograph without it. I did try without my flash, but it just looked terrible.. Ok, I'll get to it guys. Have an awesome Thursday. See you all tomorrow. Lisa G

PRIDE AND FAITH....

Good morning everyone....I hope that you all had a great start to your week. I was feeling better yesterday and actually went to work without a headache....Yay! Ok, so I am sorry but I can not wait any longer to tell you my awesome news....Drum Roll Please... Last night after I got home from work and after we went and did the weekly grocery shopping I finally got the chance to sit down and read my emails...Well the first email on the list was from none other than Colleen Schaan..For those that don't know she is a Copic regional certification instructor...Ok, here's my Great news. I won the Copic ABS-1 system from their blog hop last week..... I was so excited I made both my husband and daughter read her email as I kept thinking that I was reading it wrong...I can not believe how fortunate I have been in the last two weeks with winning. I really wanted to tell everyone, as before I started stamping I have never won anything off the Internet or anywhere else...WOW! I so love the stamping and Copic world..Thank you all for how sweet and welcoming everyone is..

Is everyone still there..Long post, I know.. So lets get down to my card today. One of my newest stamps is from The Greeting Farm and it is Dress Me Anya & Ian..I was playing around with them and could not get them to line up...A very, very sweet lady (Amy Young) at http://athousandsheetsofpaper.blogspot.com/ gave me the tip of stamping the clothes and anything else separately and then cutting them out to put them together.....Thank you soooo much Amy! It worked so good..So, because she came out really well I decided to make this card for a friend that has been having a difficult time lately and has finally been able to see the end...Well everyone have an awesome Tuesday and I'll see you tomorrow. BEFORE BEDTIME POST....

Hi everyone. I sure hope you had a great Monday...Mine was a busy one, but a very good one. I was finally able to go back to work without a headache.....Yay!! It is getting late and we are heading off to bed, but I wanted to share with you a picture that my Daughter handed to me just as we were putting things away for the evening. If you have been around me you know that both my daughter and son are both in the sixth grade. They are 11 and 12 and have late in the year Birthdays.....Anyway they are getting excellent grades this year and every so ofter they get to do a program that the school calls FIT. Don't ask what it stands for, both have no recollection...lol...While in the FIT program they get to spend time doing creative projects or reading, it is up to the student...Well evidently my Daughter decided to draw a picture the last time she was there. I think (and no, I am not biased) that it is wonderful..I wanted to share this with you. I am just so proud of her.....I have some pretty EXCITING NEWS of my own to share in the morning.....I can not wait....Have good night. Lisa G

GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL.....

Good morning all. Thanks for the well wishes last week. I am feeling somewhat better, but still a little shaky. I really could not imagine getting whatever this is full force. Ughhhh! This is going to be short today because I am trying to get to work(we'll see how that goes)and I slept later than I like to.. My card today I made to fit two purposes...The first is because my brother-in-law turns 47 on Nov.20th and I just had to make him a great card. We have known each other since we were teenagers, so it seem really weird to think that he will be 47......Where does the time go? OK, back on track. The second reason is for the Anyone for Anya challenge this week. The theme is Getting round to it. I thought that sounded like so much fun. Please forgive my bad pictures..For some reason my card looks bent and it is not.I just could not take good pics before I went to bed last night...Well I should get going. Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great day. Lisa G
