Merry Christmas...
Hi guys,
It is almost Christmas, and I still have one more card with my poinsettia on it to share. lol... I am sorry, but for some reason I have just been obsessed with this die set. LOVE IT!
I actually made this card for Madison as she really wanted me to make one out of red. I intend to put this on her Christmas gift from Jerry and Me. I think she will like it and I know I had a great time making it for her.
So sorry to make this post so short, but this is my second time at it as I hit delete and ended up having to redo the whole post. Grrrr..... I also have work early in the morning, so I am heading off to bed. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve. and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

the wonder of Christmas...
Hello my friends.
I sure hope that everyone is feeling the Christmas Spirit. I am so sorry for being MIA these last few days. I have been so busy between work, making Christmas socks for work and getting the car fixed along with a new boyfriend for Madison that I don't think I have even sat down at my desk since last weekend. :O)
So, even though I haven't had a moment to rest I did manage to make a few cards last weekend that I really wanted to share with everyone before Christmas was over. You might have guessed that I have still been a bit addicted to my poinsettia dies as well as heat embossing. With that being said I wanted to make a second card out of my dies and go with a more dusty rose color flower. I did just that and I have to say that I really love how this card came out. It isn't quite as elegant looking as my white flowered card, more like a Country Christmas feel to it. I love this feeling. It really reminds me of the movie "The Family Stone" . Not sure what it is about that movie, but I just love it and I love how the family unit in the movie just all seem to have each others' backs no matter what. For me I think that is what family should be like. lol... I know, I tend to go on an on and get very sentimental this time of year. Sorry, you will only have to endear this side of my for a couple more weeks !!!?... I don't know, but I am sure that if you've seen it and liked it, you know what I am talking about.
Anyway, if your not too busy these next three days, I .do have a couple more cards to share and a little bit of nostalgia to share with you come Christmas Morning. Until then, I hope you all have a Safe and Blessed Christmas.
Talk at you tomorrow. Merry Christmas!
Hugs, Lisa G

Dear Santa,
Hi guys,
I hope you all had a great weekend. I know they are all over much too soon, but the M&Ms are happy as that just means they will be off school for two whole weeks very soon. :O) Oh, if only I was a millionaire... I would take off every break they get from school just so I could spend time with them. However until I do become a millionaire, I will just continue to save up my vacation time so that I might be able to take off Spring Break this year with them. We are trying to play a little trip out of town to have some family fun and possibly visit some of our relatives that we never get to go see. :O) I just keep thinking Spring. lol....
Well, as it isn't quite Spring yet, I decided that today would be a great day to sit down and play with some Copics and a few of my Creeper Crew stamps from The Greeting Farm. You all know how much I love me some Creeper Crew stamps, so I pulled out Lula & Harlow and came up with a sweetheart just waiting for the Big Guy to make his trip from the North Pole. I had a lot of fun coloring Lula's hair and also using Harlow's outfit so that Lula wouldn't be cold while she waits. I also used a few rub-ons to make a holiday boarder on my card and then I was done. If you look real close you'll see that Lula is wearing some sparkling eyeshadow just for the holidays. :O)
I'm not too sure, but I think these papers are from last years We R Memory Keepers Christmas set. I know that they are the 'Peppermint Twist' set and the the little sentiment in the corner is from one of the 4x6 flip cards pad that you can pick up for scrapbooking, but I just can't remember if it is from the 2012 or 2011 release. Anyway, I really love the richness of the greens and the reds in these papers. I am thinking that has a lot to due with why I still have them all in a baggy even though they have been well loved and very much cut up. lol...
Well guys, I sure hope that your week goes well and that if you haven't gotten your shopping done yet that you have an easy time of it when you do. I am off to make a few more Christmas tags for the Santa's Socks that we will be selling this week at work. Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

HO HO HO!!!
Hello...
Do you feel that frost in the air? Do you feel that Wonderful feeling that can only mean that Christmas is on it's way? Well, for some reason I am finally starting to feel that Christmas Cheer. Could be that my car is finally all fixed and running like a brand new car, or it could be that the M&Ms, Jerry and I are all going to put up our Christmas tree in the morning and that is one of my all time favorite days of the year. Whatever the reason I am so happy to be feeling it. I am thinking that it is the fact that I love anything that has to do with my family so, I am pretty sure that much like a child, I can not wait to decorate our home tomorrow and listen to Christmas songs and drinking Hot Chocolate while we spend family time together. :O) lol..
I was watching Kristina Werner's Christmas Card Series on YouTube yesterday when she made a card with gold embossed dots on it to show her friends it could be done. After watching her video (here), I wanted to try it myself and see (if I embossed my cardstock with the embossing folder first) if my results would be any different. I don't think it worked any better, but I really wanted to complete my card as I was having such a good time and not worrying that the overall look was not perfect. :O) Yes, I am a perfectionist. Not perfect mind you, but OMG, I am such a perfectionist in a non perfect world. hehe.... I do however make myself let go from time to time and just go with it. This card is a 'just go with it' kind of card and I will admit that I really love how it turned out.
I grabbed my Jerome the gnome stamp from 'PaperSmooches' and let him play Santa on this one. As he was going to take the place of the Big Guy he needed to have a rosy nose, so I used my Glossy Accents to help his nose shine all the more. I love how that turned out. lol... Yep, overall I am pretty happy with how my non-perfect card turned out.
So if you have the time, I want to send out the challenge to you guys to pick someones card technique or video that you like and make that card your own. I would love to see what you come up with and see what you think of how your card comes together. Try it, I am sure you are going to LOVE IT!
Well, I am off to make a couple more Holiday cards before I run out of time. I hope you are all are having a great weekend.
Ok, that's all from me tonight. By the way I would love to know what you think of my new look with just a little teaser at the top of my post? I think I kind of like it, but still trying to get used to taking that extra picture. lol... Really I just wanted to change it up just a little bit. Talk at you later.

Home Made Enamel Dots...
Hi guys,
As promised I thought I would share with you a quick way that I came up with to make 'specific' home made enamels dots. Now, don't get me wrong.... I am still very much addicted to any and all that you can purchase from the crafty stores, and if I were to win the Lottery tomorrow, I would make a trip to a craft store and pick up each and every package of them that they had in stock. lmbo... Yes, I am an enamel dot addict and I admit it.
So with that disclaimer out of the way I thought I would try my hand at showing you a little tutorial that my DH Madison helped me to take pictures of.
First off you will need a small circle punch. I would have loved to have an even small one, but for now I am working with this size that is a bit smaller than a dime would be. You will also need some Glossy Accents, or in my case, I have this little set of 'Crystal Coat Glaze'. It worked ok, but next time I am going to use my Glossy Accents. You will also need some small glue dots and of course your choice of either cardstock or patterned paper. I wanted to use some of the patter papers that I was using on the rest of my card, so I picked out this light blue patterned paper that was easy to punch out.
Just gathering my supplies. |
I punched out a few more that I was going to use, as I wanted to have options once I started to put my card together. |
Once you punch out your dots just put them face up on the glue dots so that they don't move around and you are able to put on your glossy element. |
I had so much fun making this card and using my own glossy dots. I also as you can see have become a little addicted to heat embossing and even thought the mittens are from a Hot Off the Press mini set of stamps I think it turned out pretty good.
Thanks for stopping by. I also want to say "Hi" to Krystal and "welcome to my blog. So nice to have you here." Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

Merry Christmas...
Hi guys.
Well, here we are once again, Monday is knocking at our door. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and that you have an even better week to come. Our weekend was very busy and very quick what with a new baby being added to the family and all. :O) He is so sweet! No lies he just loves to be held and snuggled.
Ok, let me get to my card for today. I didn't get to much crafting done weekend, but I woke up Saturday morning with this design for a Christmas card in my head that I really wanted to do, so I got up and before I even put on a pot of coffee or took my shower I just went to town on this one. I also seemed to remember that The Greeting Farm's FFF for this week was to make a card with the idea of 'Make It Sparkle'. Well, I wanted to make this card with a ton of snowflakes and of course all snowflakes sparkle and if you add a little touch of bling in the center of them they sparkle all the more. Right?
I pulled out the 'Sparkling Season' stamp set from TGF's release last year, and because I am getting braver with my stamping and this set is made from photopolymer I was able to cut apart the individual snowflakes as well as the sentiment that goes with it. I also wanted you to really see my snowflakes, so again, (due to my new found bravery lol ) I used some Versmark and fine white embossing powder to make this card.
I am not sure why, but lately I have been wanting to use my stamps and supplies in different ways from what they were intended for. I guess for me I wanted to make this Greeting Farm card from an image that didn't have an Anya or Ian (an image that you don't have to color) on it just to show that even if you don't like to color or you can't color you can still purchase their awesome stamps and get great results with any of their stamps.
I hope you all like my little wintry card, as I really had a great time making it. I also hope that it does qualify for the 'Make it Sparkle' Farm Fresh Challenge over on the Greeting Farm blog.
Ok guys, I am off to bed as I have work in the morning. No rest for the weary these days. lol...Oh well, the mechanic is suppose to pick my car up at work and make her all better before I get off, so wish me luck on that front.
I have a small (make your own enamel dots tutorial) for you all tomorrow that my DD helped me to take pictures of. Until then, have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later.

Hello Devan...
Good morning everyone.
I want to introduce my Great to you all. His name is Devan Lee and he was born Friday night on Dec.6th. He weighted in at 7lbs & 14oz, and he also happens to be a little red head just like his Daddy (my oldest Nephew) and his Mommy. As you can tell he is just adorable, even if I do say so myself. lol...
His temperament is just wonderful as well. He really doesn't cry much as all and he loves to be held already. This little man is going to be an easy little guy as our family, when we all get together can be pretty loud and I tell you with all the talking and phones ringing he just sleeps right through it so far.
So, as you can see for some reason I am up VERY early this morning, so I thought I would share a few pictures we took of Devan and his second cousins holding him for the first time. I also thought I might as well try and get some card making in before I get tired and need to take a nap this afternoon. lol....
It sure has been a fast weekend so far. I slept in yesterday until 9am and before I knew it it was 3pm. We are also hoping to get my car fixed Monday as the mechanic is back from vacation and he will be able to pick it up and work on it in the morning. I for one can not wait as I am getting so tired of having to pour in 50/50 anti-freeze before I go anywhere. It is -3 at the moment and it couldn't be a worse time for my water pump to go out. My Dad and even my Brother-in-law as well as my youngest Nephew and oldest Nephew have all offered to fix it for me, but with the weather the way it is I just could not in all good consciousness let anyone of them work on my car. At least the mechanic will be in a heated facility when he works on it. :O)
Ok guys, that's enough gab from me for one day. I hope you all have a nice warm day and I will talk at you all later.
Hugs Lisa G

Cozy Winter Wishes...
Hello
I am so happy to finally have a few minutes to share my card with you all, but first I have to share just a little about my very short, but very busy weekend.
I worked this past weekend and while I was busy doing that my car decided that it really doesn't like the cold weather this year. I kind of suspected that my thermostat was going out and sure enough it called it quits on Friday morning. So my Dad and Jerry were both nice enough to spend part of their Friday afternoon at my work putting in a new thermostat in for me. When a new set of problems came up Saturday morning on my way to work (once again) we discovered that I needed a new radiator hose, so my Dad, Jerry and I all spent a good three hours Saturday afternoon in the very very cold weather taking off the old hose and putting in the new one. Now, it seems that my water pump doesn't like this weather either and I am having to put 50/50 antifreeze in my car before I head home each evening in hopes of babying my car engine until this coming Friday when we get a new water pump and put it in my car. I tell you, between all this car business, cold weather and the fact that I just don't have enough time in any one day I could just cry. :O) Oh well, it will be summer before you know it! Right???!! RIGHT?? lol..
So with all my CAR talk out of the way let's get to my CARD that I really want to share with you all. I don't know if you have noticed, but with Christmas coming up I decided to put myself on a spending freeze in order to get a few things that the M&Ms want this year, so I have been being really good and either using older stamps or pulling out my Spellbinders and putting them to use. So, for this card I pulled out the Layered Poinsettia set that I purchased late last year and have never even used until this weekend. OMGoodness, I LOVE THIS SET!!! lol,.... You can expect more cards to come using it as I truly do love it. I had so much fun making this card and I am sure you might even say that I got a little carried away with it, but I do, I love this set.
I had a great time inking my die-cuts and even used a little glitter as well as some heat embossing on this card. I had FUN!!! lol...
Before I forget to say it, let me just say "Thank You all so much for the sweet comments about my Spellbinder's Santa" I truly had a great time making that card as well. I think I am getting addicted to using my Spellbinders. Trust me I still love my Copics, but my wrist is very happy for the break at the moment. :O)
Ok, so now that you know all about my crazy, I will wish you all a very Happy Wednesday and talk at you later.

Let it snow....
Happy Thanksgiving!
I waited until today to drop in this card as it makes me think of the Macy's Day Parade were Santa always comes at the end of it to start off the holidays.
So, here is my Santa that I used nothing but Spellbinder dies to make him with. :O) I found a really cute card a few weeks ago that was made out of punches and then a similar card that was made from different cuts from the Cricut. I really liked both cards, and even though I have a Cricut I decided that I wanted to try and make him out of my Spellbinders.
I had sooooooo much fun with this card and everything is made 100% out of my Spellbinder dies. I even was able to make the decorative strip and the inside of my card's background out of a set of Edgeabilities from Donna Salazar that I have. heehee... I have to tell you that if you are like me and have a bunch of Spellbinders' dies (or other dies) that you just had to have and don't use them as often as you thought you would, well then you really need to give this a try. It makes me know that all that money was worth it. lol.. Now all I have to buy is the postage stamp dies from Spellbinders that I can use a lot easier to make mattes behind my stamped images with. lmbo.....
I really wanted to make a turkey card out of my dies for today, but as my week has been super duper busy at work that just didn't happen. :O( Oh well, there is always next year. Right?
Ok everyone, I am off to go play a little girls versus boys Wii bowling while the turkey is roasting away. Hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

Merry Christmas...
Hi guys.
Sorry for taking yesterday off from my blog, but we had grocery shopping to do and well, you add the Thanksgiving meal to the regular shopping and what can I say. We didn't even get home until 8:45pm last night. Thankfully the M&Ms are wonderful about helping us to put it all away.
While I am on the subject of Thanksgiving dinner, I have a little fun information to share. While we were on our way to school last Thursday Madison was able to win a 15lb Butterball Turkey off of the radio. :O) It was her first time at trying to win anything and she was the 9th caller, so she not only won the Butterball Turkey, she also won a 1/2lb box of chocolates from a local candy shop here in our little town. The awesome chocolates are all gone, but boy did we have fun trying them all and loving them as we did. I am only bringing this all up as Madison is very proud of herself for winning and she is even telling us that Thanksgiving is on her this year. lol... Um sure! :O)
Ok, let's get onto today's card. This might look a little familiar to you all as this is actually the same style of my Halloween card that I made. I really enjoyed making that card and when I found this paper from last year's papers that my friend Amy Y sent to me, well I just could not resist making this into a Christmas card and playing around with some more heat embossing. I can not believe that I am slowly, but surely getting addicted to it.
I know that in my pictures that the Scarlett Jewel from PTI doesn't look like it matches the stripes from MME, but I assure you that in person they look terrific together. :O) I really love how the white bow and the white dots just bring out those stripes and make it look kind of like a candy cane.
So, before I head off to bed I am really hoping that you will head over to my 'Kids Create Two' blog to see a couple of drawings that Madison made up tonight. She was having some fun just playing around with her pencils and it would be so fantastic if you would check it out and leave her some nice feedback. It would really mean the world to her if you could. I know you will as you are all so awesome. Thanks so much.
So, as I have talked your eyes off tonight I will wish you all a wonderful evening and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G

Hugs Lisa G

The Wonder of Christmas...
Hi guys,
So sorry for taking such a long break. I was so planning on getting a few cards made this weekend and spending some relaxing time blogging as well, but I ate something that had under cooked eggs in it and as I am very allergic to eggs you can imagine that it really put my down for the last two days. It isn't your normal kind of reaction where you can't breath, but it makes me so sick and then it feels as if my stomach is eating my back bone. I tell you I was in so much pain and I could not get warm enough to save my life. My youngest warmed up two heating pads, put them on my back and then stayed in bed with me right up against my back until I finally was able to get a little rest. I know, "TMI" as Madison would say, but it does really hurt and for some reason my right side was hurting as well this time. Jerry wanted to take me to the E.R. as he was concerned that my appendix was involved. Luckily, it finally calmed down and I was able to talk him out of it. I will confess that I was a little scared this time, but for the M&Ms' sake I didn't want to make a big deal of the whole thing. I am ok now and thankfully I was feeling better today and was able to get a little bit of crafting in before I head back to a very full week of work.
Ok, enough about me... let's get to the fun part of this here blog. :O) One of the things on my 'WISH' list is to someday get one of the dies by Stephanie Barnard that make a flip it card. I am really hoping to get one of those dies someday, but as I put myself on a spending freeze (that I am sure is going to last the winter., lol) I decided that I won't let it get me down, I will just make a card that is almost as fun and kind of works. :O)
I pulled out the '2011 Heirloom Ornaments' dies from Spellbinders and some really pretty papers from MME that my sweet friend Amy Y sent to me last year. Thanks Amy! :O) As I was putting my card together I noticed that all my reds and greens were getting a little much and I decided to grab the last of my doilies from my stash (Does anyone know where you can get them anymore? These are the 4 inch ones and Walmart doesn't seem to stalk then anymore?!) and put them with the ornaments it to kind of break it up a little and bring out the white from the papers.
I will confess that even though I really want a flip it die I think my card came out pretty good and I do like it very much. Please forgive all of the pictures as it is a hard get the idea across in them.
Ok guys, I am going to get my desk cleared up for the week and hopefully be back with another card to share with you tomorrow. Until then I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

I took this close up so that you can get an idea of just how sparkly this gem is. It is thinker than the usual ones that I put on my cards, but I just love all the sparkle on it. Thanks so much for sending it to me Steph, you are a sweetie and I am glad that I have gotten to know you. :O) |

Cold Paws,
Warm Hearts.
Well hello there. I have to say it seems like forever since I have been able to sit down at my desk and blog let alone make a card or two. lol... Oh well, I guess that is just how it goes some times. :O\I wanted to just pop in real quick and share a fun little card I made this past weekend when I was just playing around with some of the Dazzles that I picked up last month. Our family has always loved anything to do with polar bears, so when I came across these little guys I just had to make a card with them. As you can see I kept this really simple and only used 3 or 4 Copic markers. I added a little bit of my 'very old' liquid applique to make it look like they are playing in the snow. Even though my snow looks a little cream colored I really like how this turned out.
We are suppose to only get up to about 27 degrees tomorrow, so I thought it would be the perfect time to share my little winter card. I hope you are all staying warm and having a great week.
I seem to have misplaced my supply list for my Copics and papers. :O(
Ok, that's all I got for today. I will talk at you later.

Cozy Winter Wishes...
Hello everyone.
I sure hope that you are all having a much better week then we are. Nothing bad going on really, I have just been so swamped this whole week that I haven't even really sat down at my desk for more than five minutes everyday this whole week. lol... I miss my DESK! :O)
Due to the fact that my crafting time has been exceedingly limited this week I wanted to get in a card to enter into The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge using Washi Tape. Well., as I have quite a bit of Washi tape I thought it would be such a fun challenge to make a card for. lol... Can you believe (as luck would have it) that I don't have much in the way of a winter Washi? However I really wanted to play in this week's challenge so I decided to make some faux Washi for this one. As you can kind of see I used pieces of my paper pad and cut them into strips then tore them at the end to make them have the feel of Washi. Even it isn't quite the same I still love how it turned out.
I had such a great time coloring Holiday Anya up and doing a little paper piecing while I was at it. She is all dressed up with her furry hand muff that has a little bit of sparkle to it just for the season. While I was at it I even heat embossed the little greeting on the front of my card as well. Yes, I have become a little obsessed with the whole process as of late.
Well guys it is once again that magical time of day when both the M&Ms as well as Jerry are telling me that I must go to be and get a little shuteye before tomorrow gets here, so I will wish you all a good night at I am hoping that I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G
