CHILL OUT...

Hi guys.
Happy Sunday to you. I hope that you have all had a great weekend. I know, I know, I said I wouldn't be posting on the weekends.... Well, what can I say give me a couple of new stamps to play with and I am a happy girl. heehee... So today I was looking at CC Wednesday and she just reminds me of my Catholic school days that I was going to go with our uniforms that we used to wear. However with the look on her face she just kept saying to me "What?" sooo, I thought... hmmm she wants to have just a little but of pink on today. Of course I just received some awesome blog candy from Amy and in it was some skull & cross bones paper that was in pink...Well, my goodness you just can't go wrong with that.. lol
Ok, I am off to get some shopping done for the week (groceries, never ending chore, lol) and then we are hitting the pool. Yesterday it got up to 94 degrees and when we went to get into the pool it was soooo warm. We had a blast laying on our inner tubes and letting the warm wind blow while we floated and played in the warm water. It really was a blast.
I hope you all have a great day. I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

HEY! IT'S WILD CARD WEDNESDAY AT CA&F...

Hi guys.
Yes, I know that I said I was going to take the weekends off for the summer...Well I just could not wait another day to show you a card that I made with none other than CC Monday from TGF. Don't you just love these girls from the Creeper Crew? They are all just so full of attitude.
So, because Monday is so darn cute I decided that she would be perfect for Pam Varnell's color combo for the WCW sketch over on CA&F's blog. As I am sure that most of you know her challenge was to use Orchid Opulence, Pretty in Pink & Kiwi Kiss or similar colors. Of course Monday looked at me and said " You do know that those are my signature colors, right?" lol
Well, you just don't ignore it when someone tells you about their colors and sweetly asks if you would allow her to be a part of something so fun. So, her she is.
I hope you enjoy her as much as I do. Have a great weekend, I am off to work.
Hugs, Lisa G

CHECK OUT OUR GUARD CAT...

Hi guys.
Are you all happy it is Friday? I know I am. I have to work on Saturday, but as you know it's just a half of day. I do have to apologize to all of you. I don't have a card to share with you today. When I got home last night I was finishing one of the new designs I had been working on when I decided to add some very fine glitter to it. GGggrrrrr! Huge mistake! Let's just say that I am not an old fashioned kind of glitter girl. I will not be trying that again any time soon. It completely ruined my card, so I just threw it all away.
However I do have a very sweet picture of our Lucy to share with you. Last week when Mitchell had an ear infection he did not feel like doing to much, so both Mitchell and Madison spent most of the day in our bedroom reading books and playing video games together. Of course our dog (I mean cat) Lucy had to lay at the end of the bad and keep her eye on things. One of the times I went in to check on the kids I just could not resist taking some pictures of them all. The kids did not want to share their pictures, but they thought that you might enjoy our Lucy....As you can tell she is a very important and fun part of our little family. We all laugh because even though she is playing watch cat for them she still sits like a proper lady with her legs crossed. heehee... Just an FYI she has wonderfully gold eyes, but the camera (even with the pet eye flash on) made her eyes glow. What you see is how my computer "fixed" the problem.
Well, I am out of here. Gotten get to work so that I can get to Saturday afternoon...heehee...Hugs, Lisa G

WOO HOO!

Hi guys. Can you believe that it is already Thursday morning? I love it when a busy week goes this quickly... We are finally getting that summer they have been promising. You know how much I like that idea. I am busy getting ready for another day at work and visiting with my Son this morning, so I am going to get right to it.
After playing around with some cards that I have never done before I decide to make a real simple one with my newest edition to my Anya collection... That would be none other than Wild West Anya. She is so spunky that she decided she wanted to wear her cowhide vest. When I was coloring her I got to looking at my wall of cards above my desk and noticed a card that Amy Young had sent me for Christmas. That gave me the idea to try and give Miss Anya a tongue' I am actually pleased with how it turned out. Thank you Amy for the wonderful examples. It makes it fun to take chances and have them work out. It was a quick, but super fun card to color up and have on hand when I want to send someone a quick hello.
Well, that is going to do it for me today. Have a super Thursday and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW HOME...

Hi guys.
How is everyone doing so far this week. It's starting to feel like summer here. Yay! We were actually able to swim for a couple of hours after work yesterday. :D Talk about a stress reliever... Today is already off to a warm and sunny start. My local weather people (both Jerry and Madison) who start their days off by watching the weather channel, have informed me that it is going to get in the 90's by the time I am off at 1pm today...More swimming! Can I get Whoop, whoop? heehee Now that is what I am talking about.
Ok, let me get to it. I think I mentioned that I had a lot of fun on Sunday trying out new kinds of cards. Well, today's card is one that I thought I would give a try. I have to admit that I am very pleased with myself on how it turned out. It would in no way be considered for one of Amy Young's Simple Sunday cards. It took me about 3 hours from start to finish and that includes coloring Anya. I don't mind though I think it was worth it. If you would like to see the video or check out the tutorials you can see it here... I also know exactly who I am sending it to. It's a secret though because she checks out my blog all the time and I want her to be surprised... heehee. I am sorry for all the pictures, but it is a difficult fold and hard to convey just how it looks with just one or two pictures.
Ok guys, have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

SEEING DOUBLE...

Hi guys. For those that know me well you know that around our house you usually see double when it comes to Mitchell and Madison... Since they were both born I was determined to make sure that everything was even. (Yes, I have learned my lesson.) Anyway because they were so close in age we usually bought the boy and girl version of everything that we bought for them. When they were just babies (Mitchell 18 months old & Maddie 6 months old) they both had there own wind up swings in our living room. I have scrapbook pages of them sitting side by side swinging away. In fact the first page I ever scrapbooked was with various pictures of the two of them playing on the floor with their toys. They would sit back to back and play by the hour... Sorry, I got off track there, but you know how I feel about my two kids if you know me at all. heehee Ok, I mentioned seeing double because today is the day that Madison gets to share the book marker that I made for her. She wanted to have CC Thursday for hers. With of course bright pinks and purples. (Not my favorite colors to work with) I do have to say the I really liked how spunky she turned out though. So let me quit talking and show you little Miss Thursday all ready to mark those pages. Have a super Tuesday and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

IT'S MONDAY AND I'LL CRY IF I WANT TO...

Hi guys. Just kidding. I promise I won't cry, it's just MONDAY again. lol.... Did you all have a great 4Th yesterday? We had a good day, but did not have our family Bar-b-que or swimming get together as we had a wind advisory for the whole day. Let me tell you, for once they did not get it wrong either... That wind was blowing so hard I can not believe that they did not cancel the downtown fireworks!
Mitchell has been having problems with his ear this weekend and it has been rather windy up to yesterday before the strong winds, so out of the three days that I had off we did not swim once. That's ok though. We all spent a lot of our time reading some really good books. We also played games with the kids. We really enjoy doing that. I even got to check out some tutorials over at splitcoast stampers and try some different types of cards. Wow did I have fun with that. Wait till you see this week what I learned to do. I have to say that I am quite pleased with myself. heehee
Well to start this week off let me show you a simple idea I had for Mitchell and a book marker. For some reason when I read a book I have always liked to make myself a book marker to go with it. I have no idea why I can't just use the same one each time, I just don't. :O Anyway, my two children seem to be the same way as their Mommy(me) .... sooooooo I made them each a new book marker to go with a couple of books that they just bought from their allowances. Let me tell you it was so much fun to just color up the stamp that they wanted. I then backed it with DP and added some ribbon. They both keep telling me how much they really love them. As Mitchell's was the first that I made we will start with his today.
Better get a move on. Have a great day guys and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G
