HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY...

Hi guys.
First let me wish everyone a Happy Veteran's day. I feel that today is a very important holiday and I wish that they really thought the kids that is more than just a free day off of school. I want to thank all of the the wonderful men and women who dedicate their lives to keeping our country safe, and free to do as we wish. I want to thank both my Grandfathers, my Uncles, my cousins , my nephew and now my great niece who have all or are still serving our country. Most of all I want to thank my Dad. My Dad is retired now and I am thankful for that as well. He was still in the service in 1991 when Desert Store started and their were a couple of times when his unit was called up. Thankfully he never had to go... When Mt St. Helens blew up in May of 1980 he went to small towns in the state of Washington to help them dig out their homes and places so that they might start to get back to a normal life. All of my life I have been proud to call him my Dad and I have also worried about his safety. Most of all I am honored to be called the Daughter of such a giving and loving man. So, to all you veterans I want to wish all a Happy Veterans day and thank you for all that do each and every day.
Ok, now that I have rambled on I will get to my card. I wish that I had prepared a card that was more suiting for today, but this card was made for a dear friend of mine that I haven't gotten to see for quite sometime and I really do miss our times we spent laughing together. So, as I mentioned before I have gotten into coloring the Sassy Studio stamps because I love their faces and their hair. I also had a great time with these Pyruse papers from Basic Grey. I used part of the paper to make the bow. I wanted to try something a little different and I have to say that I am really happy with how it came together. As you can see I am still working on my hair techniques, but I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out. I was going for the ringlets to really come out. I also just love using my fluid chalk from ColorBox (chestnut roan), but I can't seem to find any around here. :O( Mine is not looking so good as I use it all the time. It is just a little cats eye one and it is starting to look shredded. hehee
Alright guys I hope you all have a wonderful day. I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

A GLEE-FUL HAPPY THANKSGIVING...

Hi guys.
Well GLee is back and they ROCKED IT last night! OMGoodness, I had such a wonderful time watching that show. I loved the songs and the whole story line was done so tastefully that you just could not help but smile and be happy. It is by far the fastest hour in the whole week.
Ok, for all of you non GLeeks out there (I really can't imagine such a thing) I will get to it. So as my title would indicate my post today is for a very quick and fun Thanksgiving card that I made this last weekend. I was not aware until most recently that Kraftin Kimmies were not just the stamps of the girls and boys. They also have a very cute little mouse named Miles and I just had to buy him after seeing him on a blog. So here because he is coming out of a pumpkin is my Pumpkin Miles wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. It is just a little card, but I really enjoyed coloring him up and using some DP that I had in my stash.
Well, we are down to just 1 & 1/2 days until my 2 & 1/2 day weekend so I am going to get myself in gear and head on out for the day. Oh, before I go... Don't you just think that Blaine is such a cutie? I loved his song that he sang with the Warblers... heehee Have a great day all. I hope I haven't freaked you out to bad :O)

HELLO...

Hi guys.
I hope that you all had a great Monday. We were super busy at work, but it was a pretty good day. It was an even better day when I got home and sitting on my desk was a package from non other than The Greeting Farm! (I was happy to see my family too, but..) Yes, my stamps are here! I can not wait to have five minutes to color them all. I'm not going say what stamps I bought, but lets just say they are all ready for the winter. :O) heehee....Ok, ok let me get on with my card for the day. As I am sure that you have noticed I really really enjoy coloring faces and eyes. I'm not saying I am any good at it, I am just saying I love to do it. Sooo, I have become really interested in the Sassy Studio digi stamps. You can check them all out here. She has a lot of really pretty girls that have some of the cutest eyes and wonderful hair styles. Well, I just could not resist this one so I bought her and colored her up... I had such a fun time coloring her adorable hair and her awesome eyes. I wish my eyes looked this good when I did my own makeup... I wanted it to be a card to send a friend a quick note. That is why the inside simple says "I want to tell you..." I figured that would be a good way to start off any card you might send to a friend.
Well, it's getting to be that time of day again. I gotta hit the road. Have a wonderful day. Just 2 & 1/2 days left until I have a full weekend off. Yes! As you can see I don't count today. It just makes me feel better. LMBO
Talk at you tomorrow

HOME SWEET HOME...

Hi guys. It is Monday once again, and I am getting ready to go to work. The good news is that Friday should be a half day for me and then I will have (wait for it......) two days off! Yay, I can get through this week right? Anyway I actually got some time yesterday to make up a few cards. Can you see my huge smile? I was so happy to sit and color. I do have to admit that after I finished making them and taking all my pictures I just sat here trying to figure which one was going to kick off the week. heehee I am such a dork sometimes. Thankfully Madison helped me out and I was able to pick one of my stamps from TGF... I purchased it at their farmers market last month and had yet to ink up...This is the very first Oliver and Amelia set that I have ever purchased. I really think they are adorable and I can't wait to get some of the other sets. I really have been wanting to get the My Favorite things and Buddies sets, but I have to wait until they go to farmers market. Really need to watch the old pocket book until after winter is up. Whaaaa! I know I shouldn't complain, but in my perfect world my kids would not have to go to school and I would work from home (doing this of course) and it wouldn't be work because we would have enough money for it all and I love to do this anyway.
My awesome Mom and Dad keep telling me that they hope to win the lottery some day so that I could have a house of our own and of course Dad would just have to buy his Daughter (ME) a new Jeep! OK, back to the reality check of the fact that I am heading to work so I had better get on with it. lol... My card today was made for the All tied up farm fresh challenge over at TGF blog. You can check it out here.
As you all know I love, love the Greeting Farm stamps and any chance I get to play with them for a challenge and the chance to win one of their awesome stamps I am so ready to get to work. Ok, so now you know I used Oliver on my card with some twine that I braided to give it a little more dimension. As for the brads that are gems I purposely made them look caddy wompass, but now that I look at it , it just looks like I made this card at three in the morning, heehee... I hope that you all have a great week and don't have to work to hard. Talk at you tomorrow when I will share some new digi stamps that I found and love!
Until next time, Lisa G

I'M STILL HERE...

Hi guys! Are you all tired of looking at my last card? I know as much as I loved creating it I am so tired of seeing it at the top of my blog each morning reminding me that I have not posted anything in a very Very long time. heehee.... I have to work a half day tomorrow, but when I get home I am sooooo going to create something. I never really realized just how much I enjoy coloring and just playing with all of my Copics and papers. I am going insane seeing all my things sit there and not having anytime to use it. I hope that you are all doing well. I am so sorry that I haven't had much time to visit everyone. I am keeping my hopes up that we will get someone soon so that our hours aren't insane like that are at this moment.
I wanted to share this Advent calender that I made for a friend a few weeks ago, but the pictures are not that great. However I am so desperate to share something with you that I have decided to share it anyway. heehee This is made with a mini muffin tray that Walmart sells. It is really really fun to make and easy too. Like I said the pictures are sub par at best. You can't even see the Merry Christmas buttons that I glued to the bottom. :O( Well, I better get to bed. I feel like the little choo choo that can. " I can make it, I can make it! I figure get through each day so that I can get to Sunday. Then I try to play catch up on Sunday."
Have a great weekend. I will have more to share Monday.
Hugs, Lisa G

let it SNOW ...

No, I have not lost my mind and no it has not started to snow here yet....heehee As a matter of fact today was very gray all day, but actually even with the wind it got into the high 50's... I guess that is one of the reasons that I love the Pacific North West. You just don't know what you are going to get with the weather. It was pretty busy today at work and by the time I got home we had to take the kids for new shoes and then hit the BIG W for some groceries. I love having food in the house, but I am not terribly found of the idea of shopping Walmart with all the crowds that are there this time of year . heehee
Anyway, when I finally got 5 minutes to sit down I was able to hop along the Blog Hop for The Greeting Farms release. OMWord, everyone did such a fantastic job. I so want to win some of these stamps, but if I don't you can bet that I will be working those extra hours so that I can at least get the new Christmas Cheeky and make my Christmas cards. She is sooo cute!
Ok, now speaking of winning I have to share that I WON AmyR's ATG gun from her blog contest. Oh my goodness if you haven't seen Amy's blog you have to check her out. She lives in Canada and she has the best voice and the greatest ability to make you smile and enjoy all of her wonderful creations. I wanted to share my news just to give Amy a shout out and another Thank You. I am just so tickled pink.
Speaking of being Tickled Pink I hope you enjoyed the blog hop over at TPS. Wasn't it great and fun to see everyones creations. I also wanted to play with another of the TPS so I colored up little 30's Lylah as she is getting ready to hit those over packed stores and spend some hard earned cash. She is even wearing her best shade of lipstick for the occasion.
Well guys, I had better get going. I am hoping that today goes a little smoother.
Have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
