SUNDAYS WITH LUCY AND SUNDAY...

I can't get my computer to fix her eyes.  I sure hate that, but it is a cute picuture of her face and what she is thinkg. lol...

Lucy's little yellow hairband in front of the box was her next excitement.

Good morning all.
I am not sure what I am doing up at 3:26am, but for some reason I am just not tired and we need to get back up at 5:30am to start our walk so I have decided that I might as well just stay up and get a start to this wonderful day.
I hope that you are all having a great weekend so far.  We have had some fantastic weather in the 90s once again so the kiddos have been swimming.  This next week is suppose to be more of the hot temps, so I am hoping they can spend as much time as they want to in the pool before they head back to school next Wednesday.
So, today I just have a quick post for you.  We still have Sunday with us.  Her new Daddy brings her is once a day to hold and let her have a rest from the heat.  She will sit with him for about 15 minutes and then she jumps off and head right for the door.  ( I love her, but this is Lucy's house and I don't completely trust Sunday yet.) The whole time this is going on Lucy will just be laying on the carpet without a care in the world. lol... She knows who's house this is, and I guess she just isn't worried about it.  That includes the couple of times that Sunday hissed at her.  Lucy just looked at her like 'Whatever!'  lol....
Anyway, these pics of Lucy are from when I had received my SCACD order of some 6x6 paper pads that fit in the box just perfect.  As you can see Lucy thinks she is still that slim little kitten that she was when I brought her home.  I'm not sure, but I don't think she appriciated my picture taking.  I guess it could have been all the laughs from the M&Ms and Jerry and I.   I'm just not sure. lol..
Ok guys, have a great Sunday and I will talk at you tomorrow.

ROUND UP TIME...

I had to have the female animals wear  blush so they would look good for the Fair.  lol...

Ian of course was Tough Enough to Wear Pink.
Even Anya is tough enough.

Notice the bull has a friend.  Isn't she a sweet little cow?  lol

Hi everyone.
I hope that you are all having a great start to your weekend.  We finally got back from our walk and it is just gorgeous outside.  It is however suppose to get up in the 90s today so I am sure glad that we headed out early.
So as I promised I wanted to share with you all yet another sign I made for work.  Because it is fair week around here we decided that we needed to pick some items that people might need at the fair and put them on sale for this week.  Things they might need if they spent too much time in the sun or to relieve that tummy ache from all that fair food. lol.  Of course you all know I  just had to make a sign with some of the awesome Greeting Farm stamps that I have had forever.  heehee...  As you can see I had to fussy stamp the bull so that he had some cow ladies to roam around and visit with.  hehee..  All the ladies were given some blush to wear as you just don't go to the fair to be judged without looking your best.  I didn't go to in depth on this sign however as I didn't want our little thief to pick all of them off the sign.  :O(
Ok guys, that's all I have for you today.  I hope you have a great day and I will talk to you tomorrow as Lucy has been busy and we have some great pictures to share with you.
Hugs,  Lisa G

YOU TAKE THE CAKE...

Good morning everyone.
It is officially Friday morning and I still need to get to bed so that I can work in the morning.  You might be wondering why in the world I am up at the moment,  and the answer to that would be that I just got home from seeing my very first Rodeo ever.  OMWord, I am tired but I just can't sleep.  It was fantastic and so much fun to watch all of those people riding horse like they were one in the same.  I would love to be able to do that, but the one time I did ride a horse and she started to trot (Not even gallop or run ) I thought for sure I was going to fall face down on the ground.  lol.... So, I guess I will just have to watch everyone else look so wonderful instead. heehee
We are in the midst of our County fair this week and today was what our town calls Nickel night at the Rodeo.  It is hosted by the Nickel Saver and the theme for tonight's Rodeo was 'Tough enough to Wear Pink' .  All the cowboys and cowgirls wear pink in honor of The Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation.  We all dressed in pink as well and the first 500 with tickets received Pink T-shirts that say " 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink.'  It is an awesome event each year and it kind of kicks off the fair.  As I said, I have never been to a Rodeo and my friend from work had tickets that her hubby's office has year round boxes to.  He hubby didn't want to go so I was the lucky person she asked to go with her.  I can not tell you how pumped I am for next year.  I am soooo going to take the M&Ms to it.  They had a tribute to all the survivors and all the people that have passed.  They let over 300 pink balloons go while a beautiful song was playing.  I will admit that I had goose bumps and got teary.  They also had a wonderful fireworks display in honor of all our service men and women.  Again with the goose bumps. lol... I LOVED it!!!   I am not sure I will have a voice in the morning, but I sure enjoyed every moment of that Rodeo.  Another big part of today and the whole 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink' is that  the local businesses wear pink as well.  That just so happened to include my work,  and all 7 of us wore our Pink proudly.  lol... Men included....
So,  everyone is tucked in bed here and I have just one light on by my desk as I type this.  I usually don't have any a lone time as both M&Ms tend to get up early with me and like to chat while I blog surf and get ready in the mornings. lol... This is really weird for me.
Ok I guess I had better get on with my card for today.   I made this  last weekend for a friend that out of the clear blue really helped me out and I didn't even know that she new I needed the help.  I had just gotten  my  Twisted Tea digi from The Greeting Farm and I really wanted to color her up and make my friend a thank you card so I did what any smart card maker would do, I simply let Twisted Cake make it work as a Thank You card.  My friend actually loves cupcakes and coffee so I really couldn't have gone wrong with this one.  lol
Twisted Cake was the last of the cake girls that I needed and I have to confess that I wasn't sure I would like her all that much, but oh my word I loved coloring her in and I love how she turned out.  She truly was the perfect girl for this job.
Well guys I think I am rambling, so I am going to try and go back to bed for a couple hours before that alarm clock goes off at 5am.  I hope you all have a FANTASTIC  Friday and I will talk at you tomorrow.  I have a small project that I did for work this week and I still need to share it with you.

THIRD GRADE...

Good morning all.
Yes,  it's  already Thursday!  Can you believe how fast this week is going?  It just amazes me sometimes. lol...   I am enjoying this summer and really wish that my kids didn't have to head back to school yet.  Next Monday and Tuesday is registration already. :O(  The days are wonderfully hot still, but the nights are getting cooler and that makes the pool's tempature really drop.  Yes, I am complaining.  I love Fall, but it takes me a couple of weeks to actually admit to myself that it is getting closer and very fast as well.
Ok I will stop my complaining and  get to my card for today. This one is for my friend to send to her Granddaughter that is starting 3rd Grade very soon.  I had purchased some tags that had an apple on it with the word grade.  I knew right away that this little Miss Monday/Wednesday Creeper from The Greeting Farm was going to enjoy getting dressed up and head off to school.  heehee...
I really had a great time making this card.  I even pulled out one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders to add some depth into the whole card.  I then grabbed the Oxford paper pad by BasicGrey.  It works so well for school related cards.  I just love it.  I pulled one of the papers that look like ruled paper and  fussy cut some of the fun pencils and pens from a different sheet from the same pad so that it could decorate the inside.
I hope you like.  I think it turned out really cute.  I had better get myself in gear.  The earlier I get there the earlier I can come home.  lol... Have a great day all.  I will talk at you tomorrow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

Good morning all.
I hope you don't mind, but I am writing this post without my glasses on.  If I type something weird you'll know why.   lol...   Anyway!  I have to tell you that I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 8pm.  I can not remember the last time I went to bed when the sun was still shining through the window.  I remember thinking,  oh well if I wake up in an hour I'll just get up and read for a while.  Well,   needless to say Jerry had to make me get out of bed at quarter to six this moroning and I didn't read at all last night. heehe    I just did not wake and I just did not want to get up.  So here I sit with my hair in it's towel and typing with no glasses on.  lol  Still tired. Grrrr!
I am happy to say that my Mom loved her Birthday card, even though the oldest M spoiled the surprise.  My Dad was going to tell my Mom he had to get something in town and then bring it home to her.  Well when the M&M's called to wish her a Happy Birthday my oldest M told her all about it. lol...  He felt soooo bad.  Not a biggie!   So, now that the card is out of the envelope you get to see it as well.   As you can see I am having a great time with cards that you make a little pocket on and put tags in.  It really makes a fun way for everyone to write their own wish or sentiment to the person getting the card.  My little M even gave me a pack of her flowers that she had gotten from Amy on her Birthday for me to use on Mom's card.  I tried to make them look like they were an overall part of the design.  I of course had to use my newest Anya on this one.  She was perfect!
Ok guys it's time to get the hair ready for work.  Hope you all have a great day.  We are suppose to have a hot one today, but you can sure tell Fall is coming as the nights and early mornings are very very cool.  (I haven't even put on the air yet and if you lived with me you'd know that I come out of my shower and that is the first thing I do. :OD  )  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

R U READY FOR THIS ?

Remember chalk boards? No more, their all
these white boards, and this is my rendition.
Both the M&Ms are 8th Graders this year, and they
have worked so hard this whole summer to be ready for it!

Good morning everyone.
I sure hope that your week is off to a great start.  We were busy at work yesterday, so we won't go there.  lol...
I am going to make this one a short one today as I didn't leave myself much time this morning, but first I have to wish my Mom a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I made her a card, but she doesn't get to see it until she has it in hand.  (Sorry Mom, No sneak peeks this year!).
Now onto my quick post.  I bet you thought that I had forgotten all about my August page in Greeting Farm Calender.  heehee... No, I was just debating on if I wanted to make August the back to school month or wait until September as that is when as kids we used to head back.  Well, wouldn't you know it.... The FFF challenge blog helped me once again to make that decision.  Yes, I have decided that August gets the theme and as over on the challenge blog this week the Farm Fresh Challenge is to make a school related project.  Now I know this isn't a 'Project, project' it is however overall a project as far as my all Greeting Farm Calender goes however.  lol... Did any of that make sense to you guys?
Well if you know me by now you know that I have an odd way of thinking sometimes.  That's ok as I am good with that. lol.... Speaking of knowing me I would love to welcome my two new followers.  Thanks so much for  joining, and I hope that you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy getting to know everyone and sharing this wonderful craft.
Ok guys, as you have probably noticed I did put a spot on my sidebar for all of those that want to have a chance to comment on my Blog-a-versary Candy. I don't know how you leave the post at the top and now that I look at how long it is, I really wouldn't want to.  hehee..
Have a wonderful day everyone.  Thanks so much for stopping by and for your great comments. I just love reading each and everyone of them.
Hugs, Lisa G

LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

Good morning all.
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  We had some awesome weather to go for our early morning walks.  On Saturday we walked all the way down to the railroad tracks and we were able to walk within 10 feet of a couple different flocks of geese!  Most of them were young and had not been through a hunting season yet, so they just had the sentries watching us as we walked.  Only one small flock tired of us after a while and flew out onto the lake.  It was so early and we watched the sun come up over the clouds with the rays shining through.  I swear you would have thought it was a painting.  Then, when you add in a few flocks of geese and the way they sound and look you just know why I live here.  I don't remember every mentioning it, but when I was in my early teens I used to come here and the surrounding areas and go hunting with my Father.  I have always loved the geese and now that I am older I just love to hear them, and to see them fly overhead always makes my day.
Anyway, sorry I ran off there for a moment.  We did have a good weekend, but my youngest has had the flu pretty bad now for the last couple of days and that usually means that both Madison and I don't get much sleep.  Hence no post for the last few days.  Not even a Sunday with Lucy or Sunday.  lol...
As you all are used to I usually post my pictures at the top of my post, but as I wanted to keep a little suspense I am going to leave that for the end.  Bahh ha ha!!!
My post today however is a very special one for me as it marks my Two Year Blog-a-versary here at Gobeagirl.  If you don't know, it is pronounced Go-bay-a girl  (my hubby has a french name).  As most of you know by now one of my favorite stamp companys is The Greeting Farm.  I purchased Mermaid Anya and I was in love from that point on .  I love all the Anyas and Ians along with the Wild Sprouts and OMWord, I love, love the Creeper Crews.  lol... Soooo  I have been thinking for quite awhile now as to what I would want to give away for my special day.  At first I thought that I would collect some crafting goodies and send it off to whoever wins.   Then I thought about it and decided that I want you to be able to purchase whatever Greeting Farm stamp you would love to have that you just have not splurged on yet.  Plus it is so hard to buy all that awesome paper and then give it away.  lol...  I have to purchase it all on line and I love it all.   So I have decided that starting today and until September 15th that anyone who comments on this post would have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate from the Greeting Farm.
So the rules are:  1. Leave a comment on this post.
That's all.  You are more than welcome to become a follower if you would like to, but you don't have to be to win.  If you would like to put this on your sidebar if you have a blog that would be appreciated, but again not required.  I just want to share something that I love with all the people that love it as well.  I also want to thank all the wonderful followers that I have had for quite a long time now.  You all mean so much to me and I love reading each and everyone of you comments.
Thanks so much everyone.  I will leave this open until Sept. 5th at 10pm Pacific time and post the winner on Sept. 6th.  Good luck to all.   Have a wonderful Monday and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
