IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR...

Hi guys. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday. We had a great time at the kids' concert. I must say that all of the kids (6Th thru 8Th grade) sang so well. It was a lot of fun to watch them all sing. I think I have mentioned before how much we just love their music teacher as she teaches them all how to read the music that they sing. I love that they must learn the basics before they are put into any kind of concert. You sure can tell that it really makes a big diffence by how well they all sing.
Anyway we did go to their concert , however Madison was sent home from school yesterday because she wasn't feeling well and she was running a fever. As luck would have it though by the time the concert was over she was really starting to feel super sick so we headed over to the clinic to get it checked out. I'm not sure if I have mentioned before that our town is having another outbreak of Pertussis and because she was sent home with a cough and fever (basic symptoms of Pertussis) the clinic had to test Madison for it. This means that she can not go back to school for 5 days and that they started her on an anti-biotic as well. The Dr. said that it is more likely that she has a cold, but because of what is going around he is obligated to do the testing and take the extra precautions. So here we are. I felt really bad for sending her to school in the first place and now I feel super bad for letting her talk me into letting attend the concert when she should have been home in bed. They sent us home with a lot of paperwork about the whole thing and one of the items on the checklist states that if you or anyone in your home thinks they have this that you should not go to work. So now I don't know if I should go to work or not. They told us that the test that they did takes anywhere from two to four days to get the result back anyway. Sorry that I am rambling on... I am still a little tired from being up off and on with Maddie as she would get into coughing spells and then she couldn't breath. Talk about a very long night.
Ok, let me get on with it. Today's card is made with some new Spellbinders that I received last week and just now got to use. I just had to use Beanie Anya and give her a good home as the star of her own diamond shapes. I am so sorry guys, I am still tired and I have to start getting ready for work. I better get a move on.

WINTER WISHES...

Good morning my friends.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend. As you know I worked Saturday, but the rest of my weekend was really quite fun. I had pre-ordered my copy of Eclipse from the Twilight series. I have attended all of the midnight releases with my wonderful friend Erin, but she is away at college and I really didn't feel like waiting until midnight in the freezing cold just to get a movie I wasn't going to watch until after work anyway. I decided to pick it up Saturday afternoon instead. After we got home from grocery shopping all four of us decided to have a movie marathon Saturday night. It was so much fun to watch! We had all seen The Twilight movie before. However the kids and Jerry had not watched New Moon yet, so that is where we started our marathon. heehee I never did get to see Eclipse in the theater and I must say that they did a great job of covering a lot of the book. Even Jerry thought that it was an excellent movie. We all enjoyed how well they made the wolves look.
Ok, I will get off of the Twilight series and get on with my card for the week. I decided to go a little out of my normal routine and enter a card into the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge this week. I received this adorable Antoinette from Amanda in the mail this last week, (Thanks so much Amanda!) and I just had to play with her. This week's challenge is called 'Let it Snow.!', so I just had to enter as we sure have had enough of the white stuff to give me plenty of inspiration. heehee
Well, I better go get the kids up. They have a long day ahead of them as tonight is their choir concert up at the high school and they are really stoked for it. Both M&M (that's what we call them, Mitchell and Madison...Long story from when they just started to read their own names.) love to sing and I can not wait to see them preform this year. Their Grandma & Grandpa, along with my Sister and her family are all going to come so it is going to be very exciting for them. I have today off. YES!, but I have a lot to get done before tonight so off I go. Have a great day everyone.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS...

Hi guys.
It's Friday! I have to work tomorrow...but hey it's Friday! I will take it. I am sorry, but I have to admit that I am still really tired this morning so I can't seem to think of much to say. :O) I know that comes as a shock to most. I was asked in high school by one of the guys if I always talked in paragraphs... At the time I didn't really get what he was saying... I think he was right though. Oh well, I just have to be me. heehee
So, let me get to my card and I will try to get some energy going before I get the kiddies up for school. I am trying to get my Christmas cards made so that I can actually get them in the mail in time for Christmas. I wanted to make a non traditional card so I went with pinks and blues to match my Basic Grey paper pack. I don't know if you have noticed, but I am also trying to stay away from my redheads.. heehee I was going over my blog last week to see what my hair combos have been and OMWord.... :O) I can not believe how many I have colored as redheads. With that being said, my Santa's Helper here decided that she wanted to be a brunette with dark green eyes. I love how she turned out. I am really enjoying trying out new hair combos. Mind you I have at least twelve different ones listed in my Copic book, but I guess I like my red combo and I feel comfortable with it.
Sorry for the short post. I hope you all have a great day. We are super cold again and we are suppose to be getting more snow today, so I guess we'll see how much fun work is going to be.
Hugs, Lisa G

PEACE ON EARTH...

Hi guys.
I hope that you are all rested up from the Greeting Farm blog hop... Didn't you just love everyone's cards and projects. Wow, I feel overwhelmed to see how talented everyone is. I make my cards and for the most part I am very proud of my work, but WOW...some people just have so much talent. Love it all.
I have to say that this is going to be a quick post as I worked a 1o hour day yesterday and I slept in a little this morning to try and catch up. We were busy all day long. I don't think that there was more than a five minute period all day that there wasn't someone in the pharmacy.
Well, as I am sure that you all know the very talented Amy Young is previewing her newest editions of the Sweet November family this week. Can you say over the top wonderful? I have to say that her little snow fairies are my favorites. (Don't tell the rest of the Sweet November girls.) They are all beautiful, but there is just something so special about Eira, Nixie and Neva. So, the reason I mentioned this is that in honor of her newest stamps I decided that I needed to make some Christmas cards with the Sweet November stamp Angel Celeste. I think she is sweet and I really love her on this sparkly snow flake.
Ok, I think I am still rummy from yesterday so I will get a move on. Have a great Wednesday.

YOU WARM MY HEART!

Hi guys.
Can you believe that today is finally the day for the TGF - Hoppin' into the Holidays All-Customer blog hop? I am so excited to share my cards and project with you. I just had to participate in all three categories....So this card is for "Let it Snow". We were to use snow in a creative way on our cards. I had just purchased the I heart sweaters set and I wanted to show them playing out in the snow. I of course was watching them the whole time, and as you can see that devilish little Ian started to throw some snowballs at the window. Heehee.. It wasn't long after that they had to come in for the day as it was getting very cold out.
Well, because I know that there is a lot more blogs to hop onto I will keep this short. Please be sure to check the following two posts for my "Santa Baby" part of the hop and "Holiday Treats"' Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a great time at the hop.

SANTA BABY-TGF HOPPIN INTO THE HOLIDAYS HOP...

Hi again.
Thanks for joining my blog for TGF- Hoppin' into the Holidays Blog hop. This is my post for the "Santa Baby" category. I have to admit that I kind of went a little overboard on this one. In this category we are to make a Santa-inspired card/cards. Well, I made my card and I just had so much fun that I decided that I had to make a lighted wreath for our front door as well. So without taking up anymore of your time....Here first is my card and then my wreath. Please be sure to catch my last post for the "Holiday Treats" entry. Have fun on the hop.

HOLIDAY TREATS-TGF HOPPIN INTO THE HOLIDAYS..

Ok guys if you are still with me this is my treat box that I made for the hop...I don't think I am going to bore you with the details. It has taken me over two hours to get my pictures to load, so I figure I will not push my luck any further. I did however pull out my Signature stamp set from the Greeting farm for this one. She just looks like she is ready to bring everyone some wonderful treats. I wish that I could tell you that I made the box, but I didn't. I cheated and bought the box for .50c and then I covered it with my DP. Much easier at this point. heehee... We did however make some wonderful Carmel corn and put it in a Ziploc baggie so that it would stay fresh for when I give this to my friends for Christmas. I hope that you are having fun and I thank you again for checking out all of my entries. Have a great evening.
Hugs, Lisa G
