FOR YOU...

Hi guys, did you get your Glee on last night? OMWonderful! I just loved last night's show. I am so over the top happy for Kurt. I think he so deserves to finally get his guy. They are so cute with each other. As for New Directions winning.. Yay! I told my DH while they were singing their song that no matter if they win or lose they had already won. Great Show!
Ok, back to real life. I am in a super great mood this morning. I was so excited to see that my package from ATS had come in the mail yesterday when I got home from work. There were only had two stamps in it, but they were my first two of the new Sweet November stamps by Amy Young. I love these stamps! You can use them as the Zodiac girls that she designed them to be or you can use Amy's trick of wiping off parts of the stamp and making these ladies into some of the prettiest girl stamps I have ever seen. If you didn't know it already these stamps are about 5x4 inches and make a great focal point on just about any card you can dream up. That is exactly what I did last night. I grabbed my new Leo stamp (she is both the M&M's sign) and I wiped off her freckles and her fuzzy ears. I love how she turned out. She may be a lion, but she is a very gentle natural girl that loves to have anything from the earth. She doesn't even wear blush, not her just the sweet pink of her natural cheeks. lol... She traded in her gold necklace for a hemp cord to hang her Zodiac charm from. She also picked my new FAVORITE 6x6 paper pad by MME (Mabel from the Stella & Rose collection). Got it on Saturday and I have to say I love this pad. If you like oranges and browns you must buy this one. You will love it.
After I colored her up and put her on my card I got to looking at her and I think I am going to have to make her again only this next time I am going to go with a more Tina Turner look. I think her hair would be perfect. lol...What can I say my mind does it's own thing. I can not believe how fast this card came together. I sat down to color her, stopped to watch Glee and before I knew it my card was done. I think it took me longer to load my pictures than to make this card. lol...
If you haven't purchased any of these stamps yet I am telling you to run (don't walk) over to All That Scraps and pick some up. You will love playing with them all. I was able to also pick up Aries as well, and I can not wait to get some more.
Have super day. Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE TO SHOP?

Good morning all. I hope that your week is off to a great start. We sure had some winds yesterday, but the sun was out all day, so who can complain right? lol...
Well I thought that I should finally share my photos of my small haul from our trip on Saturday. We had a great time! It was warm enough that we didn't need jackets and the sun was out until we were heading home. It was a perfect day!
As you all know it was my first time in Hobby Lobby and I loved it. By the way if you live in Washington State I found out just today that there is also a Hobby Lobby in Spokane now as well.. I feel like I have lived on an island for 10 years. heehee.... They have so many paper pads and everything else. They didn't have any 6x6 paper pads, so I ended up buying some envelope /card packs that were on sale. Great deal! Because I was lucky enough to get to take this trip I wanted to purchase a little something for the M&Ms and Jerry as well. While we were at HL I was able to get Jerry some model paint and Madison some polymer clay (the bake kind) to make food for her Barbies.
Once we headed to Michaels I found the perfect truck model for Mitchell to work on. The kids were really pleased to get something from my trip... We had fun at Michaels, but it was super crowded and they were in the process of remodeling to compete with HB. Not a lot of great deals there, but I did manage to stock up on adhesive for my ATG and a few pop dots as well.. Made me happy as I was running super low on a lot of my staples for card making. I reminded myself that you can't make cards without card stock or adhesive so I bought the stuff I needed and next time I will buy some more of the fun stuff. Believe me I can not wait until next time.
After that we headed to Crafters Warehouse were I finally came across some 6x6 paper pads and found the Mabel papers from MME. Love it! By this time it was after 2pm and we were getting hungry so we headed over to the Red Lobster for a great lunch. It was sooooo good!
Well I better get going. Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hope you enjoy my pictures.
Hugs, Lisa G

EXCUSE ME ?

Hi guys.
As you can see I am running super behind this morning, so I am going to get right to my card for the day.
Of course I had to make a card with some of my purchases from this weekend. So I grabbed my Cheeky Howdy and the some of the new ribbon that we picked up at Michaels and went to work. We found this ribbon with the little cherries on it and I just had to get it as I knew that it would make a cute card with Cheeky. I also used a great trick that my blogging friend Amy does. I used the cover sheet to some of my favorite Cosmo Cricket paper - Delovely. I have to say that it truly works out so well and gives it a lot of different colors. Yes, all this color is a little out of my comfort zone, but I really am happy with how my card turned out. lol....
See what you think. Sorry to be so quick, but I have to buggy. Work and sickish kids that don't want to go to school today. Fun, fun....fun!
Have a great Monday and I will talk at you tomorrow.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Hi guys.
I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend. Did you remember to put your clocks ahead if you have to? We did, but it always takes me a little while to adjust to the Spring forward than it does to the Fall back. lol...
Well, we made it back from out trip yesterday and we had a wonderful time. It was a very sunny day and we were able to go shopping all day without any coats to have to carry around or wear. Loved it! I have some pictures of all my goodies that I will share later. After all today is Sunday and as you all know by now that means it's Sundays with Lucy. heehee
As you can see Lucy was not a very good girl this past weekend. I was taking a break from making some cards and decided to eat a bowl of cereal for my lunch. When I was finished I went into to talk to the kids about something, and when I came back Lucy was having herself a snack as well. Yes, my crazy cat drinks her water and as you can see my left over milk with her paw. She is very particular about how much she has on her paw before she will drink. I have always wanted to get some pictures of her drinking her water this way, but as her water dish is on the kitchen floor it hasn't be too easy to get some good ones. I have to admit that she really didn't get into too much trouble. I however learned that I need to put my bowl away first then go talk to the kids. lol... She is a good girl at night as she sleeps in our room and we all sleep with our doors closed, so I know she doesn't get on my counters, or she would be in some real TROUBLE... I don't know about this cat. lol... She sure makes our lives interesting and we all love her very much.
Have a great Sunday all. Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

LET'S JAM...

Good morning all.
It is finally Friday. Yay! I have to say that even though I get to go shopping tomorrow I am so happy it is finally Friday as I am so tired from work this week. I really have no reason. Work has just been work nothing big or unusually busy about it really. Just work. hehee....
We did take the M&Ms to their Dr's appointments today and they both have bronchitis. Thankfully they are getting better and unless they start to spike fevers again they just need to use their inhalers and get rest so that they can head back to school come Monday. I can not believe the coughs that they have.
Now, I swear that I did not intentionally leave this card for my post today to mean that I am excited about jamming tomorrow. I guess it just kind of works out really well. lol...
So let me get right to it so that I can hurry up and get to work. :O) This card was made for the Saturday Sketch over on the CA&F blog. I really enjoyed making this kind of patchwork looking card. I used some of the Madame Royal paper pad from WeR Memory Keepers. I just loved the Springy kind of feel to the whole card. I even fussy cut some of the papers for the inside to add a little excitement as well. Of course I had to use Leslie from the Creeper Crew collection 1 from TGF. Did I mention how much I love this set of stamps?
I also want to share that I love how my colors showed up on these pictures today. I used my new camera that I finally decided to purchase. I had picked out the Canon Rebel, but I really did not like the pictures I was getting of my cards with it. I wanted one for just my cards. I have a great camera for the kids and Lucy and what not so I went with the Kodak M575. So far I love it and it can even shoot videos(we'll see, lol..).
I hope you all have a great weekend. I hope talk at you some more on Sundays with Lucy.
Hugs, Lisa G

A TOUCH OF PURLE...

Good morning all.
I am going to get right to it this morning as I have to be at work early and then I have to take Mitchell to the Dr. He seems to have bronchitis or something that just is not going away.
Today's card is a simple card that I made with a Donna Salazar Stamp that is made to go with the Spellbinders dies. This is my first one and I don't have the exact size that I need to go with this, but I do like how it turned out. I have not practiced coloring any flowers with my Copics, so I really need to practice. However for my first card this way I think it turned out ok. I am sad however that once I loaded my pictures I noticed that the card stock and the purples of the flower look like they don't match, yet to the naked eye they look just perfect. :O(
As you know I have been in a pearl mode lately, so I added some and I took a piece of vellum and used my embossing folder to give it just a little more interest .
I hope that you all have a great day. Yay! Only two more days and I am off to SHOP! heehee....

YOU TOTALLY ROCK...

Hi guys.
It is finally Wednesday. I am so happy. Just two more days of work until my "Big" trip. lol... I am sorry to go on and on but I am just so excited. I really can not wait to see the inside of a Hobby Lobby. I didn't even know that we had one in the state of Washington let alone one that is just a mear 60 miles or so away. Yay!
Ok, let me get to my project for today. I don't have a card to share I have a new book marker that I made for Mitchell. Let me introduce you to Tyler ( I am sure by now everyone knows Tyler) from the Creeper Crew Collection 1. Isn't he just to cutest guy? I had to color him up... I just love this set. I think it is my all time favorite one. I do have to apologize however. I know I wrote down all of the colors that I used, but I will be darned if I can find it this morning. Gggrrrr! I don't know what happened to it. As you can tell Mitchell's favorite color is blue and this was made specifically for him. He was allowed to pick all the colors.
The second thing that I wanted to share with you was a great on-line store that I found thanks to Arlene on YouTube (mybutterflykisses12). The awesome store is call claudiaandcompany. I am telling you it is great. I was able purchase some more of my Neenah classic crest paper and they also have 6x6 paper pads. They have a ton of stuff and the best part is that she ships so fast. That is worth everything to me. lol.... I brought up the paper pads as I while I was at http://www.claudiaandcompany.com/ I found a new BoBunny paper pad called Vicki B. Well I just had to buy this collection including the buttons that went with as this is my Mom's name. Yes, it is even spelled Vicki B. and I so intend to make something with this set just for her. So, Mom if you are reading this I am not telling what stamp is going to be on your card. You are just going to have to wait to see. heehee.... Anyway, I love this paper. It is just so cute and check out these buttons. They have three metal ones as well.
Well I am gonna get going, gotta work so I can pay for my Saturday of fun. :O) Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
