Farm Fresh Friday challenge...

Hello again.
As I didn't manage to get my card posted in time for last week's challenge over at The Greeting Farm I thought that I would make sure to upload and post this one before my week starts.
The Greeting Farm has so many new stamps and now dies as well that I want to be sure and get in on all of the challenges.  lol... After all it's fun and you have a chance to win something totally AWESOME!
So for my card entry into the Farm Fresh Friday challenge I decided to us Creeper Crew 'Saturday'.  He is so handsome,  and I just think he looks like he is totally ready to head off to school with his new clothes on.  The challenge is to make something school related and even though we are celebrating the ending on another school year it will soon be the start of a new one, so I felt this would be a great card to send to someone just getting started.  :O)
I really had a great time with this card and I even pulled out some of my 'summer sunrise' card stock from PTI as it really reminds me of the pee-chee's that we all used to use and doodle on in school.  I also had the 6x6 paper pad 'For the Record' from WRMK.  It isn't a school type of paper pad, but for some reason the papers just really looked like they fit perfectly for what I was going for.
I think all in all it turned out cute and I am going to have a fun time giving it to certain person come September.
I hope that no matter were you are that you have a great start to your week and that the weather isn't too mean to you.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
I think he looks like he waiting for his Mom to take that first day of school picture.  :O)

Soakin' up the sun...

Hi guys,
Yes, I know that once again I promised a wonderful week of cards and whatnot, but the fact is I did make a few cards and even uploaded them.  My problem is that once again, I have had a verrrrrry long week and I haven't had five minutes to even get to my computer let alone time to check out everyone's blogs and play along on any of the challenges that I wanted to.  (Yes, I would consider this whining, but hey it's my blog and I'll whine  if I want to,  lol)
So with that being said I will get to one of this week's favorite cards that I made.  I wanted to enter it into The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Challenge for last week, but I just checked and it was until yesterday that I had the chance to play along.  hump!!
I pulled out Yoga Anya and decided I wanted her to look like she was relaxing at the beach while eating a yummy Popsicle.  I used a few of my dies and added the sun as well as some awesome rub-ons from 'ep'.  I realize that the sky is usually blue, but all in all I like how this turned out.  I think the paper pad from MME and the rub-ons from ep worked really well together.
Ok, time for me to head to bed as we are getting up at 6:00 to go for our walk before the 100 degree weather decides to show up for the day.  I hope you are all well.
I do want to thank everyone that is still hanging in there with me and I soooooo hope to get back to blogging everyday very very soon.
     Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

You totally ROCK!

Hi guys,
Yes, it's me again.  No, I haven't quite gotten back into the swing of making a wonderful card a day, (as if that ever was the case)  but I did manage to get a few minutes today to make a couple of cards.  I have been wanting to get my Copics warmed up so bad this last week, but as you all know it was a very full week.  I am pleased to say that it turned out to be a good week even with all the busy.  lol..
However today  I was finally able to grab a little me time and while listening to my iPod  (that has some awesome music from 'Pink' and a couple of the songs from Rhianna.  Oh, and let's not forget the wonderful music of  'Glee')  I had a great time coloring away and putting together the cards for different challenges.  Ahh the fun of music and coloring!!!
So, the first thing I did was head over to The Greeting Farm Blog and decided to work on the latest challenge.  It was so fun to grab one of my favorite Creeper Crew members none other than Tyler.  He is so awesome and he really just made my "You totally Rock" card ROCK!  hehe...
Check out The Greeting Farm blog here. You too can join in the "Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge"

Thanks for stopping bye.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Hello

Hi guys.
I hope you all had a great Father's Day weekend.  We all went over to my Mom and Dad's for a Bar-b-q, and boy did I fill up on my Sister's pasta salad!  :O)  It was soooo good, I just couldn't help myself!  lol.
So, once again we are at the start of another week and as you all know I no longer have invitations to work on so I was just playing around with a bit of Washi tape and my brand new 'Hello' die from The Greeting Farm.  Yay!  I was finally able to purchase it..  Every time I wanted to purchase this one they are out of stock.  So when it came in the mail today I just had to use it.
I just had to use the 'Hello' sentiment,  a wonderful stamp that my friend Amanda sent to me and a very adorable button flower that my friend Amy sent to me,  last year I believe for Christmas.  Thank you both!  I love them and it is hard for me to not hoard them and to use them.  You know how that is....  lol.. I pulled out a little Washi tape and put it all together to make this simple but fun card.
This is my very first Lily of the Valley stamp and I have to tell you I love it!  I just think they are so whimsical and fun to color up.
Well guys, I really just wanted to check in and say "Hi" to everyone.  I have an uber busy week ahead of me at work, but I am going to try and put up a few cards this week.   Again, thank you everyone that has hung in there with me.  I can't tell you how much that means to me.
Have a great day and I will talk to you all later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Such Talent...

Hi guys,
I hope you are all having a great week.  Mine has been busy, but good.  I have managed to make a couple of cards, but I'm not too sure I want to share them yet as I really don't think they are all that note worthy let alone good.  lol...
I do however have a gorgeous picture that I really want you all to see.  My 13 year old niece Kiela drew this awesome picture for her friend.  I have always thought that Kiela was very talented, but OMG... I am just blown away by this.  Her Mom told me that Kiela used pencils and her fingers to get her shadows and shading just the way she wanted.  I have a hard time coloring in any kind of animal  stamps let alone drawing one from scratch.   Kiela, you ROCK!!!  =O)
After seeing Kiela's beautiful piece of art work I just knew I had to share it with you all.  I can not wait to see what she makes in the future.  I figure if she is this good at 13 she could be drawing her Auntie stamps to color up in the future.  lol
Well, I am off for a walk with Jerry and the M&Ms.  I hope that you all have a great evening.  Thanks so much for all your sweet comments about the invitations.  They are coming in to get them tomorrow sometime and I have to confess that I am excited to see what they think.
Have a great evening and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Kiela you are so very talented and I am so proud of you.  What a fantastic artist you are.
Love You, Aunt Lisa

They are finally FINISHED!

     Hi guys,
I know you must be really tired of this subject by now, but as it has taken me over three months to complete these invitations I thought I might as well share the last pictures of them all together and to show how I boxed them up for my Cousins to pick up.  I am very happy with how they all turned out and I can't wait to see what they think of them.
With that being said that means that very soon I will be able to get back into making my own cards and perhaps get a chance to purchase a few of those wonderful  new stamps out there that I have been missing out on.  =0)
As I pretty much wore out my Cuttlebug machine I am hoping to save some money up so that I can get the newest Big Shot. I think that I will really like using the bigger platform that it is now coming with.. We'll see.
Anyway here are the last pictures of everything all together.  I hope you like it and I can't wait to get back to visiting with everyone real soon.  As for right now I am dog tired and just might have to take a little nap before I try to be crafty.  lol  Wish me luck.  =0)

All packed up, labeled and ready to go.

Talk at you all later.

Hmmmm, who would have thought?
