GGggggrrrr!

Hi guys.
Long time no talk.  :O(    I have had a couple of days that would test anyone's patience.  First I hurt/strained my middle finger and have had to wear a brace on it since Monday night.  Doesn't make it very easy to type, color or even leave any of my comments on everyone's wonderful projects this week.
Then, as  if that wasn't enough my computer info has been messed up by something and every time I did try to leave a comment or watch something on YouTube it wouldn't let me get into it either.  Don't you just want to cry.  I just really wanted to SCREAM!
I am typing this an hoping that it is finally going to play nice.  I have today off after all and we have already gone on our family walk together and swim in the pool..   I have to hit the shower however and I am headed over to meet Tracey from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  I am sooo excited.  I am hoping to get some pictures to share for tomorrow.  :O)
Here are a couple of pics from my one and only card that I have managed to make this week.
Well guys take care and I am hoping to talk at you tomorrow.

GOD BLESS AMERICA....

Good morning my friends.
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was a short one as you know, but I am not complaining.  I have a very long weekend coming up starting on Thursday afternoon and I can not wait!  I didn't even realize that this coming weekend was the 4th of July until my Mom called me to see if we were going to have a pool party and watch the fireworks from down town in our back yard.   We live just one block over from the lake, so we get a really great shot of the fireworks each year.   I am hoping that the hot weather holds out so that we can swim and watch the awesome display that the town puts on each year.
Speaking of the 4th of July TGF's  Farm Fresh Challenge blog has a 4th of July challenge this week.  They are making it so that everyone can play by making the challenge about making anything patriotic for where ever you call home.  Isn't that fantastic?   As you all know I have been making my Greeting Farm Calender this year and I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to make my page for July.  (After all I almost forgot June, so I thought I would be a head this time.)
At first thought I was going to make something to do with the M&Ms' Birthdays as they are on July 30th and July 31st.  However when I read about this challenge I knew right away what I wanted to do.
I had just won some awesome blog candy from Danni and in it was the 6x6 paper pad from BoBunny called the Liberty Collection.  I immediately fell in love with the paper that had the American flag swaying in the wind.   I used my computer to print out God Bless America,  Land that I Love on the paper it's self. (Very proud of myself to figure out how to do this. lol..)  I then wanted to have a couple of things that America means to me.  The very first thing that comes to my mind is our Military and all the men and women that have and do fight for the very freedom that I enjoy every day of my life.  That meant that Soldier Ian had to go on my calender.  Then I thought well,  my Great Grandparents all came to the United States through New York.  Of course that meant that they all would have seen the Statue of Liberty  there holding her torch.   I didn't have a Statue of Liberty Anya, so Princess Anya no 3 helped out to be a stand in.   I have to admit that I LOVE how she turned out.   I then felt the need to show what that freedom means to me.  I ask Twirl Anya if she would like to help me out by holding a flag and celebrating this awesome holiday of ours.  I made her a flag out of a toothpick and some paper form WeR MemoryKeepers.  I think she reminds me of all the little girls and boys that have grown up enjoying fireworks and bar-b-ques with their families every year.
Sorry for the long post everyone.  I just really wanted to talk about what my calender page means to me and not just three Greeting farm stamps thrown on a piece of paper. lol...  I hope you like it and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Lisa G

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Good morning everyone.
Wow, I can not believe that it is Sunday already.   I hope that you are all having a great weekend so far.  I am going to make this short as I am tired and I am heading off to bed.  I worked a half day yesterday and then came home and helped Jerry finish up weeding our two front flower bed.  Yay!  It looks so pretty.  Now all we have to do is buy a bag of bark and finish it.  We then spent some time in the pool with the kids.  Always fun, but you seem to really feel tired afterwards.  :O)
Anyway today's pictures of Lucy I took yesterday after we had gotten done swimming..   I sat down to work on a couple of projects when Lucy decided that she needed a bird's eye view of the whole thing.  Yes, once again she decided that she needed to rest in my homemade light box.   What I found so funny was the picture of her that I keep on this shelf ended up in the same picture.   As you can she looked really long and sleek in the framed picture.  She was much younger and according to Jerry her fur hadn't puffed out yet.  lol.... To think I am the one that lives in my own world at times.  lol...
Have a great day everyone.  I will talk at you tomorrow.

I LIKE IT, I LOVE IT ...

Hi guys,
I know it is Saturday and I usually don't get a post up, but I just wanted to share some AWESOME pictures of Tim McGraw that my friend took while at his concert this last weekend.  I didn't go, but now I soooo wish I had.  She bought me his number one hits Cd for my Birthday last month and I really hadn't gotten a chance to listen to it until last week.  OMWord!  I am obsessed!  lol....
We had a lot of fun making poster boards for her to take with her, and she actually got his autograph on two of them.   I don't know about you, but it sure sounds like fun to me.
Well off to work I go.  I hope you enjoy Debbie's wonderful eye candy as much as I have.
Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
One of Debbie's favorite pictures.  She loves the clouds in the background.  It was an outside concert.

He was signing her I'd stand in line poster.  :O)

This is what he did after he read and signed Debbie's Bufflo Briefs Poster.  He is just too cute!

WOW, she had great seats for the show.  lol..

FRIENDS ARE ALWAYS IN FASHION...

Hi guys.
I am heading off to bed and I thought that I would post tonight so that when I get up in the morning I will actually have time to visit some blogs instead of working on mine.  lol...  Just a little unorganized this week.  Still getting into the family's groove for the summer.

So, the card that I made today is for the Farm Fresh Challenge blog's WOW sketch #6.   I turned the sketch on it's side and then decided to use the Awesome new Die-namics mini film strip die from MFT.  I am so glad that I splurged on this die.  It was so fun to make the film strip out of some of my favorite Greeting Farm stamps.  Really easy and I think it turned out very cute.  I am going to try it next time with just black and white to make it really look like a strip of film.  As you can tell I used some more of the wonderful lime twist paper from MME.  I just think their 6x6 paper pads are soooo cute this year.  I can not wait to get some more of them.  Very, very versatile.   I left this card pretty simple as I wanted Friday and the film strip of her friends to be the focal points.

Ok I had better get to bed as 5:30 in the morning comes really fast lately..  I hope you all have a great Friday and I will talk at you tomorrow as I have some fantastic pictures that my friend took while she was at the Tim McGraw concert last weekend.  Wow does that man look awesome in some ripped blue jeans, a white T-shirt and that's  not even mentioning his black cowboy hat.  lol...

YOU TOTALLY ROCK...

Good morning everyone.
I am feeling a little tired this morning and for some reason my throat started hurting last night and it isn't much better this morning.  Ggrrr!  I refuse to get sick when Summer has just decided to peek around the corner.  Anyway,  I have a really quick card to share as I wanted to use some of the wonderful paper that I received from Danni as part of her Blog Candy.   Thanks again Danni!  I love all of it and I can't wait until Saturday afternoon to play with more of this awesome goodness...  :O)
So for my card I used Monday from the Creeper Crew.  She is another stamp that I had colored a while back and set aside when I went another way with my project.   I am very pleased with how she turned out, but I wish I hadn't used such a bright blue combo for her eyes.  lol... Oh well, I just couldn't let her go to waste.   Instead she got herself a great spot on my card for today.   This is some of the lime twist papers and I totally love them... As you can see they can be used for a girl card or even a boy card.  Great color combos in the paper pack.  I also pulled out some buttons from my stash and put some of my new baker's twine to good use as well.  You can head over to Jodi's etsy store here if you are interested in having all the colors without all the expense.

That's it for me today.  I am heading out soon so that I can get it done and be off  by 1pm.  Don't you just love half days?  lol...  I sure do.   I hope you all have a wonderful day.   Thanks for stopping by, and I will talk at you tomorrow.

OUR FAMILY...

Sorry for all the pictures, but you know how had it is to take pictures of an easel card. lol

Good morning everyone.
It is finally Wednesday and I have to admit that this week has been a pretty good one so far.  We have been busy as work, but that is ok as it just makes it go faster and that makes me get home quicker.  lol...  I was off yesterday by 5pm and when I got home the kids and Jerry were all out at the pool.  :O)  It was the perfect first day of summer and I was more than happy to get into my swimsuit and hit the pool with them.  We ended up playing around until well after 7pm when we all decided that we were tired and starving. lol...  I am so happy to see that the M&Ms are just like my side of our family and LOVE to swim.  I used to spend most of my summers out by our pool either swimming or laying out and suntanning while reading a good book.  My sister is a red head and she has always burned very bad.   One time we decided that if we got her towel wet and put it over her she would be able to layout with me.  OMGoodness she burned so bad she had blisters all over.  She never ever stayed outside with me again.  Hense the need for a good book.  lol.... Sorry Chris.  Mind you this is the same Sister that talked me into helping her to see if our Cocker Spaniel could land on her feet like a cat when thrown up in the air.  Let me tell you the next time my Mom had me get the dog to take to our new home she bit my face and I had to have stitches.  I guess that make my Sister and I even huh...   Live and learn.

Ok,  now that you know how dumb we were when we were kids I will get on with my card for today.
This just started out when I noticed how wonderful the black swirl design was on some of my leftover Hollywood Vogue paper.  I just love the design, so I wanted to play around with it.  Then next thing I know I had put Sasha's picture on a metal circle with some Glossy accents.  Then I wanted to try out some of my new rolled roses die from MTF.  I fussy cut the leaves and just played from there.  I love the saying on the top and needed something for the bottom so I uses some of my black lace that I had and added the pearl brads that I got for a good price.   I love how it turned out and I am keeping it on my shelf on my desk to remind me each and everyday how lucky we are to have each other.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

WELL DONE....

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you all had a great start to your week.   Yesterday was such a warm and sunny day.  You just could not be in a bad mood.  lol... It is still early, but it is looking like today with be more of the same.   Honestly  I can not believe that today is the first day of our Summer.  That and the 4th of July is just around the corner.   Where does the time go?  Next thing you know I'll be making Christmas cards and wishing for a couple extra weeks to get the M&Ms all the things that I think they can't live without for Christmas.  lol....
However,  right now I am still stuck on the wonderful Princess Collection from The Greeting Farm.  So, for my card today I used Princess Collection no. 02.   She is just so pretty!  I had a few scraps of  the Webster's Pages left over and that is how I got the idea to paper piece her gown together.  I just love this effect, and I think it came out better than if I had just colored it.  I also used some of the new Prima pearls and gems that I got and now I really wish that I had purchased more than one set.   It was so fun to work with and I love how it looks as well.  I really want to get some in brown, but I can't seem to find any online.  :O(   Oh well,  I'll just have to keep looking.  lol...
Well,  I had better get a move on.  I want to say thank you so much for all the sweet comments that you guys leave.  I know I have said it before, but it really does mean so much to me.   Have a great day everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.

MADE FOR YOU...

Hi guys.
Wow, can you believe it is Monday already?  I had the weekend off, so I won't complain too much.  :O)   I just can't believe how fast the weekend can go.  We really didn't have the best of sunny weekends, but we did manage to go for a swim yesterday when the wind decided to settle down.  It was super warm when the sun would shine.  Love it!
Ok, let me get to today's card.  I am sure that you are all aware that the last couple of weeks the Greeting Farm has been having a Princess contest.  Wow have there been some beautiful cards and projects using all of the Princess Anyas.   Because of my schedule last week I sure didn't have the energy or the time to play with the new stamps or get anything in for the contest.    I did however get the chance to play with these girls this weekend and for some reason it put me in the paper piecing mood.  So my card today is made with Princess Collection no. 03.  She is soooo cute and I had a card to make for my friend at work so I decided to combine them.
I just think this Princess is so pretty and I had some white lace/ribbon that I wanted to use, so this sweetheart got a dress that looks like she used some fine drapes to make her dress with.  Yes, I love the movie Enchanted and I was watching it quite a bit this weekend when I was working on my cards.  lol...  I used up the very last of my Sugar Rush paper pad from Basic Grey and I love how it turned out with her dress and as the fun background to this one.
Well guys, the M&Ms may be out of school and Jerry may not have to work but alas I still do so I had better get a move on.  I think I should have been a teacher just so that I could get Summer off and be with my kids while they are home.  Oh well I missed that boat.  lol....  :O)
I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week.  I will talk at you tomorrow.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY....

We had run a rub full of water to test out our new thermometer for the pool and Lucy was busy laying on the side of the tub watching.  She loves water and has no problem with it.  Jerry just had to dump water on her back.  She let him and when I saw how wet she was I had to cuddle her and dry her off.  Poor baby I think she let him just so she could snuggle. lol...

Anytime the kids have their backpacks out for school Lucy just has to crawl
in them.  This was taken the last day of school before they left.

Good morning everyone.
I have to start off today by wishing all those wonderful Fathers, Husbands, Brothers and Uncles Happy Father's Day!  I am not going to be showing my Father's Day cards as both my Dad and my DH read my blog so I can't spill the beans.  I guess I will just have to make a post about them later on this coming week.
Well as you all know by now,  not only is it today Father's Day but it is Sunday  and that means Sundays with Lucy and my Mother called my yesterday to let me know that there had better be a Lucy post today.    So,  being the wonderful daughter that I have always been.  lol...Here you are Mom!
I hope you all have a Happy Father's Day  and I will talk at you tomorrow.

YOU TWINKLE MORE THAN STARS...

Good morning everyone.
I want to start this out by thanking you all for being so sweet this week when I really didn't get much accomplished.   I am so happy to say that it is finally Friday and the kids just have a three short hours and then they are off for the SUMMER!   Yay!
Ok, let me get to it.  Can you believe that I was actually able to get a  card made?  I have to say that it was sooooo therapeutic for me.  I don't think I have enjoyed making a simple card like this in quite some time.  lol...  I really really enjoyed it.   I always love making my cards,  but I have felt like a card-oholic that hasn't been able to get their fix for about two weeks now.   lol..
I hope that you all have a wonderful Friday and that your weekend it sunny and bright.  I have this weekend off and I for one intend to enjoy every minute of it with my family and with of course a lot of card making added in.   Talk at you tomorrow.

WHEN DOES SATURDAY GET HERE?

Hi guys.
I am so sorry for being missing in action this week.  It is the very last week of school as I said, and between the M&Ms and work I am so ready for it to be Saturday.   Oh I can not wait to get just  5 minutes to sit at my desk and make cards.  lol...
So, this is a little card I made the other day from a stamped image that I think I colored up about two weeks ago.  I am sorry, but I didn't think I was going to use her so I didn't write down the Copics I used.  :O(   Anyway I just wanted to share a little something with you all today.  I am hoping to get the chance to play tomorrow after I get off work.  Wish me Luck!
Have an awesome day and I will hopefully get back to commenting on all of your wonderful blogs really soon.

I ALMOST FORGOT JUNE...

Good morning everyone.
I am going to make this a quick one again as the kids are still in school and they have last minute projects that need to get there early and they have to be back at school by 5:30pm to sing during the 8th Grade Graduation.  I do think that is really cool,  but wow am I ready for it to just be OVER!  I honestly don't remember doing this much work the last two weeks of school when I was still going.  lol....Yes, it has been a few years but still.
So as you can see from my title this morning I almost forgot to make my (June) Greeting Farm page for my calender.  I usually have the calender hanging over my desk shelf,  but these last few weeks I have left my home made photo box up and it sits right in front of the calender.  So when I was cleaning off my desk (finally)  Saturday morning I put the photo box away and realized that it was almost half way though June and it was blank.  :O(   Poor June.
I was very happy however when I got a look at the Mystery Monday challenge over on the FFF challenge blog from last Monday.  It is of course too late to play,  but I really loved the design so that it how my June page came together.  Now all I have to do it get moving on July.   Hhhhmmmm, both the M&Ms' Birthdays are in July.  Wonder what I can come up with for that.... lol
Have a great day all.  I also have to apologize as I didn't realize until about two minutes ago that I forgot to take a picture of my Copics that I used.
Talk at you tomorrow.
