ON THE ROAD TO CRAFTY...

Hi guys. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. With the exception of sleeping until after 8 this morning mine has been awesome. I was able to get some cards made yesterday and that always puts me in a good mood. I love it when the creative bug hits early in the day and you are able to get some work done. Showing my kids new things also puts me in a good mood, and that is exactly what I did yesterday. I had planned on making lasagna this weekend, and Madison decided that she wanted to learn how. What a sight the two of us made in the kitchen making sauce and putting everything together.( Madison loves to wear her Daddy's apron from work). After we popped them in the oven to cook Madison wanted to make a card of her own. So.... here is Madison's card with Travel Anya. She was very insistent on what she wanted the inside to say so I want you to know that this is all Madison. She forgot to write down what Copics she used, so I am sorry but we don't have a list or photo to share. Well guys, I am off to the store to get things ready for the week. I hope that you enjoy Maddi's card. I think she did a great job with it. Have a super Sunday. Talk at you in the A.M. :D Lisa G

Hi guys. Can you believe, it two posts in one day. Please be sure to scroll down to see my post of my card I made with my new papers. I just wanted to let you know that Prima is having a big give-a-way. You can check it out here. Good luck everyone. I can not wait to see what they have behind that purple curtain. lol....Thanks for stopping by all. Have a great day. Lisa G

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE...

Hi guys. Happy Saturday to you all. Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Jerry and I got up this morning at 4am to watch our DVD of Interview with a Vampire. I don't like scary movies, however I do like this one. Not so scary, just a few ugly things in it. We do not let our kids watch anything that might give them nightmares, so we get up early if it is something we want to watch. lol....I know we are overprotective of our kids.
Ok, I am sooo in the mood to craft so I am going to get on with it. This card today is a quick one that I made last night after work. I got my new paper pads in the mail yesterday and I just had to make a card with some. . I have to confess that I am still collecting my Copic sketch pens so I tend to spend my money on stamps and Copics. Usually the only paper I purchase is for my white card stock that I use to color on. Everything else is from paper that I have in my stash. Butttt...I found some NEW paper pads from Hope stamps eternal at a great price and just had to get me some..lol...I love them! I think I have found my next obsession. shhhhh. Don't tell Jerry. Hehehe.. Just kidding, he never says a word about all of my packages in the mail.
Now I promise I will get on with it. I was able to use BasicGrey's paper pad - sugar rush along with Amy Young's awesome stamp, Chanter Heartsong. If you don't already have this sweetheart you can get her here. Well I am getting crafty so sunshine and hugs to you all. Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

IT'S FRIDAY....

Hi guys. It is finally Friday. Even though my day is going to be a very busy one at work I am still very excited to say that it is FRIDAY! I have to apologize for not having a card for you today. I tried to come home from work and get one done, but it just did not happen. I don't know what the deal is, but all of us were so tired that we were all in bed by 9pm. If you know my family you know that is not our normal time to hit the hay. With the exception of Mitchell we are all pretty much night owls.

So, I do apologize for no card today. I am hoping to get my mojo back for a card in the morning tomorrow. In the mean time I will leave you with a picture I took of the stamps that came in the mail on Saturday. I don't usually photograph them, but they came with a red boa and I just had to do it. heehee.... Thanks Greeting Farm. Have a great day all. I will talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G

HAVE A ROOT'IN TOOT'IN HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

Good morning all. I hope that your Thursday is off to a great start. Hey, it's Thursday! One more day and it's two days off to play and be creative! Yay! Ok, I got that out of my system. Sorry, just a little excited to get to the WEEKEND... It has been one of those weeks. lol...
I have to make this a quick on. This card is made with the adorable Cheeky Shooter. You can not help but smile when you see her. Because she is one Sassy little thing her and I decided that she would make a cute card for my DH's Birthday in March. I am almost certain that I can wait to give it to him. hehe... I also decided that because I embossed the circles behind her that she could be my card for Wild Card Wednesday over at CA&F.
I noticed when I was putting in my pictures that her hat looks like it is a light red, but it isn't..Ggrrrrr. My camera and I are not fitting too well lately.
Ok, gotta go. Have a great day. Lisa G

IT'S GONNA BE A BRIGHT, BRIGHT SUNSHINY DAY..

Hi guys, I almost forgot to post my card this morning. I was so into checking my email and then of course I got carried away with the Greeting farm news and then I went to club Anya and friends to see the sneak peeks. lol....What can I say, it puts me in a good mood to see everyone's wonderful creations. I wanted to thank everyone for all of you sweet comments yesterday. It really means a lot to me that you are all so encouraging. I can not tell you how fun this blog is for me.
Last week I finally got the chance to purchase Angel Anya and I got her in the mail on Saturday. Well as I am really into stretching my abilities I decided that she needed to cast off her halo for just a little while. ( you know, it's not Christmas and she wanted to blend in for a bit) So I decided that she was going to put on a spring dress and bring some sunshine to everyone. Once I was done with her remake I put her with some happy spring or summer paper for just a fun card. I have to say she just makes me happy. :D

TRYING SOMETHING NEW...

Hi guys. Hold onto your hats. I have tried something new and I am not entirely sure that I like how it came out. I don't know if you've heard of Sweet Pea Stamps, but if you haven't you should check them out. They are very pretty and have a lot of different ones to choose from. My card today is made with a Ching Chou Kuiks stamp. I love the stamp, and I am pretty satisfied with how I colored it. However I sure have a long way to go with what kind of card to make for it. lol..I am not complaining, I am just practicing....Soooo, stick with me. Anyway if you want to see these beautiful stamps colored and designed wonderfully on a card check out Angela's blog. I guarantee you are going to love her work. :D Well as it is Tuesday I am off on another fun filled day at work. lol.. Have a good one and I will talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

THINKING OF YOU...

Hi guys. It's Monday again. It always amazes me how when I have a Friday off I am so excited to have a full three days ahead of me to be home with my family and do whatever I want when ever I want, but in a blink of an eye it seems like it is Sunday night and we are getting the kids ready to go to bed and making sure everything is ready for Monday. It is just too fast. Well I hope you all I had a great weekend and a great week ahead. I did get a few cards made.(yay, me!) My card today I made for the Saturday sketch over at Club Anya and Friends. Can you tell that I learned how to highlight words for you to quickly be able to get to some other blog or site? That is thanks to about the other blogs.....Thanks guys, you know who you are and I really appreciate you. Hugs! Ok, so I received a pack of paper from Makingmemories and in it was this great paper that had Hawaiian flowers on it, and I had just ordered WS-Sing, so I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I have to tell you, I was done coloring her when I looked at her again and she had a tiny little black spot on her face. I should have left it alone, but I tried to fix it and before you knew it her face was messed up. So because I had already put my card together with my ATG gun she was there to stay. Gggrrrrrrr! I don't have anymore of this paper and I decided that she will have to have some blemishes...lol...Ok, guys I am off to get ready for work. Yay!....... FARM FRESH FRIDAY...

Good morning guys. I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am having a very productive and fun one. I have actually been able to finish my card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge. Yay me! This week it is a color challenge and when I saw Cindy's card I just had to give it a try. You can check out Cindy's great card here. The colors that you need to use are Groovy Guava (or Melon Berry) and Chocolate Chip with Kraft. I really enjoy this combo and as I am on a Kraft kick I decided that I just had to give it a shot. If you haven't played and want to you can get all of the details over at The Greeting Farm blog. Another thing that I really wanted to try this week was to use a corsage pin with beads. I have to tell you that I really love how it came out. I am however restraining myself from using it on every card I made. hehe... Well, as I got up later than is normal for me I better start getting crafty...(Like that is such a hard thing) lmbo....Have a great day all. Talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G

HAPPY EASTER...

Good morning everyone. OMWord did I have a great day off yesterday. I really hate telling you this due to all of the bad weather that is still happening all around us, but yesterday it got up to 50 and the sun was shining. It was just so pretty out. I had the chance to go out to lunch with a friend that I hadn't seen in sometime. It was a blast to get together without a time limit on our lunch. Then as Mitchell had a test to makeup after school Madison and I walked around downtown for a little while. We even had our rings cleaned at the jewelery store. She is almost 12, but she still holds my hand as we walk around. I know that it meant as much to her as it did to me to have the Mother Daughter time. After picking Mitchell up and telling him that I was actually off of work,(he just loves it when I surprise him)we headed home. Jerry had fixed the kids some snacks so I started to get to work on my cards for the week. The best part of that is that I finally got the mojo back to make my card for the challenge over at the Greeting farm for the case of the Curious Card.
Hopefully you have stuck with me this long. If your still there I will get on with it and list my supplies for this card. I am very happy to tell you that I finally inked up my sweet Easter Anya. She is just too cute. Well have a great day everyone. Chat at you tomorrow, Lisa G

FOR THE HAPPY COUPLE....

Good morning guys. Yes, it is Friday and my printer and computer have decided that they are on speaking terms again...lol...I have to tell you, I got up this morning at 4:30 because I just could not sleep any longer. I sat down at my desk, checked out a few of my favorite blogs and started to make a card. It just came together so fast. I love it when that happens.... I also discovered that I usually make my cards bigger than most people do. I make mine 5x7 and I found out that most or standard are made 4x5 1/2..What size do you make? I am soo curious. This card was made the smaller size and I must say that it sure made my stamps pop!
Ok, even though I got up early I have to get going to get the kiddies to school. Yay me, I have today off and the kids don't know it. I am going to surprise them and pick them up from school. They just love that... :D I am also jamming this in last minute, so I don't have my Copics listed I just have a picture for you. Have a great Friday all. Talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES...

Hi guys. No, I did not fall down on the job nor did I fall off the face of the earth....Gggrrrrrrr....For some reason my printer and my computer are mad at each other this week and not speaking to each other at the moment. What this means for me is that I have not been able to load my pictures this week. I have a cord to hook up my camera directly to my computer, but both the cord and I have NEVER seen eye to eye. lol......So, hopefully tonight when I get home from work I will finally be able to sweet talk my printer into being nice again....

Thanks so much everyone for checking in with me. I am sooo hoping to have my cards to share tomorrow. Until then I will leave you with a picture of our Lucy... Have a great day, Lisa G

HI...

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Monday. Mine was so great. I just love to get the chance to be at home with Jerry and the kids. Madison and I ran some errands in the morning and by the time we got home Jerry had started the laundry and Mitchell had a friend over. All in all it was a busy but fun day. Well it's already Tuesday and we are all back to work and school this morning... As always when trying to get Madison ready for school it usually takes quite a bit of time. She is not my morning child... I guess I had better get to it so that I can be done by the time I have to encourage her to get out of her warm water bed. She is eleven and you would think she was sixteen by the way she could sleep all day long if you let her. lol....
Ok, on to today's card. I decided to try my hand at the card for The case of the Curious Card-Marie Rocks over at the Greeting Farm...For some reason I just knew right away what stamp I wanted to use and the papers I wanted to use. I was very please with how it turned out and I was getting ready to upload it over in the gallery when it occurred to me that I had used a stamp from All that Scraps... Grrrrrr....I don't care. I love how it turned out, so you get to see it here and I get to make a different card for the challenge and to put up in the gallery. What can I say even when I get a day off I still worry about my brains....lol... Have an awesome day everyone, talk at you tomorrow. Lisa G

LOVE BLOOMS ALL YEAR LONG...

Hi guys. Happy President's day to you. Hold onto your hats...I am off today. Yes, I actually signed today off in Dec. and I am off all day with my kids. I am usually the one heading off to work while Jerry and the kids are sitting around getting ready for a nice long day off. Hehe...I am so giddy with the excitement of it. Sorry, I just had to go there.
Did you guys play along with the Club Anya Blog hop last night? It sure was super fun to see all of the wonderful creations. I so enjoy seeing all the takes on the adorable Greeting Farm stamps. Talk about talent! Ok, I need to get going. So lets get to it, today's card I made with my new Hello Ian. I just think he is sooo sweet. I felt the need to give him strawberry blond hair. I made this card for the Saturday Sketches over at Club Anya and Friends..I have to tell you that I am proud of myself. I used my Copic airbrush system along with my Spellbinders nestabilities. It always makes me happy when I actually use the supplies that I have to have...lol..I know that you know what I am talking about. Oh, and before I forget.. I also used some of the new e. line from Prima on this card. I love these...I used both the Pearls and flowers from their new line and I have to say they are great.... See what you think. COFFEE BREAK....

Hi guys. No, I was not on a coffee break yesterday. I just woke up very very late for work. I was up with my dd until 2am and then I fell asleep only to have my dh wake me up at 6:45am. And of course I was suppose to be at work by 8am. I did get to work on time, but I didn't have time to do anything but shower, shampoo and shine.

Sooooo, because I did not get any time to show you my card yesterday I decided to post it this morning before I left for work. It is a quick card that I made with Dazzles by Hot off the Press. No copics were used for this card....Don't worry I have not lost my mind. I have just been very short on time this week and I really thought these would be fun to play with. I also have to tell you that the pattern paper I used for this card I have had in my stash now for over a year. I guess I just never ran across it, because now I just love it and I soooo have to make a card using my stamps with the paper..lol...

Ok guys, I am off to work. Have a great morning and I am sure I will talk at you tomorrow. Enjoy the start of your weekend, Lisa G
