Where has the time gone?

Hi guys.

No, I did not fall off the face of the earth.  lol....  I can not believe that it is almost Christmas.  I also did not realize that I had not put up a post to share with you all since the beginning of this month.  So sorry.  :O(...  Bad Blogger.
I have however been super busy making cards for Christmas as well as getting them ready to sell in a little shop here in our town.
That has been very exciting for me and it has almost made me realize just how much goes into put together a card and packaging it for sale.  I am a perfectionist, so of course it all have to look as close to professional as I can get it.  lol... At any rate I really am enjoying the whole experience, and I am very happy to report that they are selling!  (Yes, I was worried about that.)  So much so that it took me over a month to make the decision to do this. lol..
While I was in the middle of all the card making I also decided that I would really love to start making more videos on YouTube than I ever have.  I had at one point loaded them on my blog and on YouTube, but I didn't like the way it made my blog react, so I have just been posting them on my YouTube channel. (Gobeagirl)  Yes, I am really inventive when it comes to my channel names.
So, I really wanted to share all of what has been going on.  You can check out my channel and please stay tuned here and on my YouTube as I have a big announcement to share just as soon as I get the go ahead.  I am super excited and I can not wait until I can share!!!
In the meantime I wanted to put up some pictures of just a few cards I made this last weekend from some really cute AC paper packs that I was able to pick up from our new Joann Fabrics for only $0.50 a pack.   I sure that you have already seen the paper packs.  As you will be able to see all the cards have the same basic design layout, but made out of different pattern papers. I just had so much fun making these all!  I ended up until 3am wanting to make even more with different color combos. :O)  Yes, it was a very crafty night indeed.  I hope you enjoy them all.   If your still reading this I appreciate it as I really wanted you to see them and enjoy them as much as I do.
I am hoping to have some more time to share before Christmas gets here, but just in case I don't let me wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.
Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

Cyber MONDAY....

   Hello guys.
I bet you think I'm going to be telling you about all the wonderful things I was able to pick up on Cyber Monday.  lol...  NOPE!!!
In stead I am going to just complain for a moment about the fact that no matter what I did yesterday evening I could not get my computer to let me log into my blog.  I'm really not sure as to what the problem was, but for now I'm just going to blame the whole thing on CYBER MONDAY......imagine a long drawn out voice  lol,..
Anyway, moving on.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving.  I had to work Friday and even though our computers and our registers did not work (we were writing out receipts and calculating tax when we needed to)  it was a pretty good day.  I then had a wonderful Saturday and made a few cards that I was putting together to sell in the 'Made in Moses Lake' store. I had a lot of fun making them as I was just on a creative roll and I didn't even write down one supply.  :O)  It was kind of fun not to worry about any of that for once.  hehe....  I did however  take a few pictures to share with you. This card is a simple Christmas card that I had a great time just playing around with.
As you can tell I used an embossing folder and Washi tape on this one.  I also used a Spellbinders Ornament die to put it all together.
Well, I am off to make a couple cards that I have an order for, so I will talk at you later.  I wish you all a wonderful week.
Hugs Lisa G

I'm not sure why the ribbon looks so odd in the pictures. In person it  looks much more like the red
of the Washi tape.

The Greeting Farm- FFF Challenge -Make it Sparkle

Hi guys,

Can you believe that Thanksgiving for the States is this week?  That means only 4 weeks until Christmas.  That means I really need to get my Christmas cards all finished and in the mail ASAP!
So, with that in my head I decided this weekend to do just that.  If you follow me on InstaGram or on my YouTube channel you know that is what I was doing on both Friday and Saturday.  Well, what no one knows is the fact that I got up this  morning to great disbelief!!!  Boy did I ever!!!
You see, when I headed to bed Saturday night I had cleaned my desk and stacked up all the cards I had completed on the corner of my desk with the idea that I would get up early and film a YouTube video of all the cards I had completed and go over some of the ideas that I used to make each card.  Sounded like a fantastic idea to me.  It might even have worked out if I didn't have two knotty little kittens that like to play around on my desk in the early morning hours.  :O(...
You see those knotty little kittens had gotten on my desk at some point and somehow they managed to spill my big bottle of Various ink refill for my Copic markers all over my cards!  Not just one card, but all over five of them and a brand new 6x6 paper pad that I had yet to use.  It was new to me as I had bought it off of Peachy Cheap in the fall with the anticipation of using it Sunday to make a few more cards.
I don't know how they managed to get the lid off of the bottle, it must have just hit the desk the perfect way to jar if off.  It then seeped into all the cards, (You can just imagine what those cards looked like at this point.)   I tell you I felt like it was a massacre.  The only difference was that  my unsuspecting cards had become the untimely victims of this crime scene.
So with that very long explanation let me get to the one card I did manage to make after all the carnage.  I really love how it turned out and unfortunately it was all I had left in me to make. I had already made a similar card out of the very last of a blue and gray 6x6 pad that I had, so it was very upsetting to remake this card. I loved the idea of the card, so I did redo it and I do like how this one turned out, but I don't even have one picture of any of the other cards to share.
I do want to enter this in The Greeting Farm-FFF Challenge for this week-Make it Sparkle

Ok,  I will quite complaining and wish you all the best.  I hope you have a fantastic start to your week. Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

FFF-The Greeting Farm ...

Hi guys.
Wow, can you believe that tomorrow is Thursday already?  I have had a SUPER busy week and I am just shocked at how fast it has flown by.  :O)
Even with it being a busy week I still wanted to play along in the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm once again. It is just so much fun and it really does make me come up with some new ideas.  As I am sure you all know the challenge this week is to make a Holiday Card.  I knew that I didn't really have as much time as I would like to use one of my adorable image stamps, so I decided to play around a little bit with my sentiment stamps that I have had for quite a long time now.  I just love to find a new way to use a stamp that I wouldn't have normally used it for.
So, with all that being said, I grabbed this Martha Stewart mat pad stack that I picked up at our Joann Store for an awesome price of $1.99 after all my coupons.  (Have I mentioned how much I am loving the fact that we finally have a craft store in our little town?  OH YES I AM!!!) I then stamped my sentiment and added the overlay on top for the front of my card and used a second overlay to mat my inside sentiment on.  Very very simple, and now my usual style of card.  However I have to admit that I am really pleased with how it turned out and it only took my about 15 minutes to make.  This week for me that equals a win/ win...
Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you are all having a wonderful week.
Hugs Lisa G

A simple card without any stamps!

Hi guys!

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  Sorry that I didn't get back to my blog until today. It was a very busy week for me, and this is the first moment I have had to sit down at my desk.  :O)
So, first of all  I have some awesome news to share.  I just found out that I won the FFF Challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog from last week and I am SO HAPPY!  I had a great time making that card and even though I know it is picked by random I am still happy to know that I will be getting a brand new Greeting Farm stamp!  You all know that is my favorite company for red rubber stamps and since I haven't been able to spend a lot on crafty stuff lately that makes it all the better.  lol...
I also found out the the local 'Made in our town store' would like for me to sell my cards there.   I am wondering what you guys would do.  They will let me price my cards how I think they should be priced and I also get to set them up for display as well as package them how I see fit.  The thing is, they will take 35% from each card they sell.  What do you think?  If it were your cards, would you do it?  Is that a fair price, and what do you sell your cards for?   I would greatly appreciate any and all comments or advice you can give me on this.
Ok, let's get to my card for today.  Last week I decided to make this card to show that not only can you use what you have, you can also make some pretty nice looking cards without using a single stamp.  That also brings me to my friend on YouTube "Hi Carole", she is One Happy Crafty Chic on YouTube and she made some adorable cards using her scraps.  Yes, it can be done.  Check out Carol and her channel here.  I know you will enjoy her.
Well Carole, here is my card made from Scraps. You can not believe how long I have had these leftover pieces from this paper pad.  lol... I did put in a little bit more time on this, but only because I wanted to use Glossy Accents on it and of course I had to wait for it to dry.  heehee
So, if your in a pinch and you just know you have to have that new stamp set to make that perfect card. Remember chances are really good that you already own something just as cute. So, be sure to check out your scrap bin.  You just might remember all those wonderful papers that you already loved and still have a bit of.
Thanks everyone for all your sweet comments.  It always makes my day.
Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

The bottom of the bulbs are shinny from the Glossy Accents, but for some reason the shine looks weird in my picture.  Sorry!

Sentiment cut from the paper pad. Makes my life easier.

In person the Christmas Ornaments match the cardstock perfectly.
I think my flash played tricks on the colors. :O(...

I used my score board to make the lines in the
top part of the hangers to make it look more textured.
So much fun to do.

FFF Challenge on The Greeting Farm blog...

Hi guys,
I promised to share with you all my finished card using Beanie Ian and I finally finished it.  lol...
Sorry it took me so long to get my card finished today.  We all wanted to finish up the last three episodes of season 4 of The Walking Dead.  :O)  Usually this would so not be something I would watch, but as Andrew Lincoln is one of the main characters in it and I just LOVE anything he plays so of course I do not miss a chance to watch. lol

So, let's get to the reason you are here.  That would be my card for today.  I was in the process of organizing my stamps this past week and I came across Beanie Ian and I could not believe that I had yet to ink him up.  I knew right away what paper pad I wanted to use with him, but I wasn't too sure what kind of card I wanted to put him on.  I really didn't want to go with a Christmas card for him as I wanted to play around with the idea that he didn't have to be only for Christmas or winters.
Of course when I'm not too sure what direction I want to go I will head over to The Greeting Farm Blog and see what challenges they have going on.  I was very happy to see that this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge is non other than a 'Thanks or Thankful' card!  I have a very special 'Thank You' card that I need to make and this is just the perfect time to make it.  :O)
As you might be able to tell I pulled out a lot of old products that I have been hording to make this card.  I have a ton of the gem swirls that over a year ago I had to have and I still haven't touched.  I also have a few different kinds of embossing powders that I have but tend to not use too often as I really don't like the chance of a mess on my desk or pulling out my embossing gun.  I also used some brown pigment ink that I never use as I tend to go with black for all of my sentiments.  Yep, I am very happy with myself on this card and with how it turned out as well.
If you haven't checked it out, or if you just haven't thought about playing in a while check out The Greeting Farm blog and play along with the FFF Challenge.  I know you'll have fun.
Have a wonderful week everyone.  I have a card for tomorrow that I made with no stamps at all.
Hope to see you tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G

Trying something NEW!!!

Hi guys.
Wow, did everyone have a great Monday or what?  lol... Mine was SUPER BUSY at work, but when I got home and I read all of  sweet comments from the  LBBS clear stamp blog hop it just made my day.  I really want to say "THANKS so much!"  and "WELCOME to my new subscribers"  I am very happy to have you all and I have even picked up on my crafty mojo all because of you guys. :O)
You have really inspired me to get crafty.  So much so that I finally pulled out the new embossing folders that I purchased last week at Joann Fabrics when they had all of their 'Darice'  folders on sale for $2.00.  Yep, I just had to take advantage of that sale.
I have always loved embossing folders, but I really tend to only use them as backgrounds for my cards. So, as I said in my post title I decided that I wanted to play a little bit with a couple of the new folders I picked up.  I embossed this Christmas tree, and then I grabbed my Memento stamp pads a big block and my water color brush and went to town on making this embossed tree look like it was water colored.
I'm not sure you can really see it in my pictures, but once I added some gems from my stash and a bit on baby blue 'Stickles' to make for a festive garland I have to admit that I am SO VERY HAPPY with how this card turned out.  HUGE SMILE HERE!!!
I am so excited with this card that I had to take a couple of pictures and share with you all and I haven't even made an inside to my card yet.  lol.... Those of you that know me and my blog know that I almost always have to have and inside to my cards.  I had so much fun making this one and seeing it come to life that I now I really can't wait for our yearly trip to the big city so that I can pick up a set of those water color pallets that everyone has been getting at Michaels. Those are so going on my wish list!
I sure hope you are all having a great week so far. If you are kind of in a slump with your crafting I totally encourage you to try something that you just didn't think was your thing.  You never know, you just might LOVE it!
     Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

I was really trying to show how it looks in person. The gems kind of twinkle in the light and
it makes it look like both Christmas tree ornaments and lights.

Embossing folder and the ink pads that I used to get my colors. I really love how the embossing folder has a boarder so that I could use it to both cut the tree out and frame it.

NAUGHTY OR NICE

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great Halloween if you celebrate it.  Can you believe that it is already November?  So, because it is November that means it is that time again for some new releases from Little Blue Button Stamps!

Little Blue Button Stamps now has CLEAR (photopolymer) stamps!  Yes, you read correctly. LBBS now has some great clear stamps and in order to share in this fun lease LBBS  is having a blog party!
You can check out all the details HERE!   However before you head over I have one of the new stamps to share with you all.  This set is called 'Charlie with gifts' and I think this set is the PERFECT set to kick off my holiday cards for this year!  Because I wanted to play off of the naughty or nice stamp I pulled some bling from my stash to make it look like this cutie  has a ton of diamonds.  :O)  Just having fun with it.  You'll notice that the bling is marking the 'Not Sure' part of the stamp.  After all it's up to Santa on that.  lol...
Ok, because it is a blog hop/party I won't keep you any longer.  Be sure to leave comments along your way for your chance to win.  Have a great time.  I know you will enjoy all the wonderful projects that the rest of the DT have put together for you all.
     Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

It's been a long time!

Hi guys.
I know that most recently not too many people have stopped by my blog, but even though my computer (laptop) has not been letting me upload anything I really wanted to must up some much needed patience and put up a post.
I have really been missing my blog and all the wonderful people I have met because of it.  I am not even sure that my computer will let me add my photos, but I did want to wish you all a Happy Halloween even if it doesn't let me.  :O)
My card today is a winter card that I made for Little Blue Button Stamps for the Oct. release.  I am not sure if I am still on the DT due to my lack of my computer and the ability to do much more that post to Instgram.  Either way, I made this card using the LBBS stamp set Christmas Joy and I think she is just adorable.  I hope you like my take on this very festive little snow bunny.
     Have a wonderful Halloween everyone.
Hugs Lisa G

Inspiration Blog Hop

Hi guys,
This post is going to be a little different from my usual posts.  My friend form YouTube asked me if I would like to be a part of this weekly blog hop.  Every Monday there is a host of inspirational bloggers taking part and answering questions.
I was honoreded that Steph ask if I would participate, so of course I said yes.  I am having to  schedule it, so I hope that's ok Steph. :0).  Have to work in the morning and I just know I won't have time if I wait until then.  lol...
So, let's get to the questions:

See clean and simple..

1.What am I working on?
Well, if you could see my desk at the moment you would think I was working on making a huge mess, and succeeding quite well at it.  However at this time I am actualing working on getting all of my red rubber stamps from The Greeting Farm organized.  I just love them, but my storage for them is a little crazy, so I have written the names of each stamp on the back with Sharpie so that I can know at a glance what stamp I have used and from what set (if any) it comes from.  It looks a mess at this moment, but I am getting happier by the minute.

2.How does my work differ from others in my genre?
Well, I didn't know I had a specific 'genre', but I would say my cards differ in the way that they always turn out looking.  I don't seem to see it, but I have been told that my cards always come out so clean and specific looking.  It is meant as a compliment, and I take it as one.  I love how everyone can do shabby chic and grunge, but for me I tend to like this on the more simple side of things and of course I always like the clean and simple as well.  I don't try for it as much as it just ends up looking that way.  There is the small thing of enamel dots as well.  Yes, I am horribly addicted to them.  You might have noticed over the last 4 or 5 months that most of my cards have them on it.  I love them, and I don't see me not using them for some time to come.  (What is not to LOVE?)

3.Why do I create what I do?
I think I really already answered this in number two, but I think I create what I do, because it makes me happy.  For me all of the cards I make are an expression of myself and a way for me to relax and just enjoy a little me time.

4.How does my creative process work?
I love to try out different things, but over all I just want to have fun and when I come across a stamp that I love I have a great time with it.  One of my favorite things to do in stamping is to use a head from one stamp and swap it with a body from another stamp within the collection.  To me it is just so much fun and it's a lot like when I was little and we played paper dolls.  Only this time I get to decide what color their hair is, what color their eyes are and what color of clothes they get to wear.  I have also found lately that I have really gotten into using photopolymer sentiment stamps and switching them up between companies to say what I need. Truly, I have become addicted to this.
When I am working on a specific card and I know I am going to use an image/character  I always start with the skin then do the hair finishing off with the eyes.  I know not everyone does this the same way, but for me this works.  I also more times than not,  always pick the papers after I have finished with my image or character.  I know it would be easier to pick my papers first, but I just don't function that way.  :O).
Ok, now comes the fun part for me.  I get to nominate two crafty ladies to play along with this.  I am picking these two ladies, not in the order of their talent, but in the order of how I met each one of them.  I am sure you all know them already, but I would love to hear/read their answers to these questions.  I am sure that you all will agree that these ladies are some of the most talented people out there. So....

     #1 Amy R
     #2 Rachel P

Thanks Steph for asking me to play along.  I had a great time doing this and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone else's answers as well.   Thanks everyone for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed this and I hope that you head on over to both Amy and Chrissy's blogs to give them some love as well.
     Talk to you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Crafty Monday at Little Blue Button Stamps...

Hi guys.
I am going to make this post really quick as it has taken me over an hour just to get my computer to let me onto my blog..  Grrrr.... This is no way to start off a new week!!!
Anyway, moving on.  Let's get right to the real reason I am putting up a new post for you all today.  It's Crafty Monday over on the Little Blue Button Stamp blog, and we are hoping that you will come on over and have some fun with us.
I have been playing around with my LBBS  >>Enjoy Your Travel<< again and I have to tell you it has been so hard for me to wait to share this one with you all.  :O)
When I first received this stamp set from Olga, I knew right away that I wanted to make a card with the little plane flying across the country.  I just felt this it would really look adorable if the plane had a banner (with one of the sentiments from this set in it) flying behind it.
As you can see I used primary colors on this card as I really wanted to make it a very clean card that put all of the attention onto the stamps themselves.  I know at first glance this may feel a little simplistic to most, but I have to say this is one of my Favorite Cards! I just love how the stamps really POP and truly become the focal point of this one.  They may be some of the smallest stamps in this set, but as you can see the make a HUGE impact!
I hope you like it as much as I do.  Be sure to head over to Facebook, the LBBS blog and YouTube.  to check out what all the rest of the DT ladies having been working on. While your there be sure to leave them some love.  You can head over here for links to where you can pick up this set and other great stamps and sets as well.
Thanks again Olga for this awesome set.  It has become one of my favorites and I just love that it can be used along side of a lot of my other sets that I already have in my collection.
Ok guys, have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G.

Word Dies....

Hello everyone.

I hope that you had a good Monday.  Mine was busy just like I knew it would be.  :o)
The good news is that it is already Tuesday and this week is officially on it's way. lol...
So, let me get right to it.....  This one is made from one of the dies that I purchased from Lara over at The Ink Road on Etsy.  I don't know about you guys, but I am really loving all of the word dies that are out these days.  I have really enjoyed using the 'Hello' die from Lawn Fawn, and when I found that Lara had the 'Thanks' die from them I knew right away that I wanted to pick it up.
As you can see I wanted to keep today's card fairly simple.  I wanted the word die to be the focal point of my card.    I decided to use the  color scheme from this paper pad by Fancy Pants, and of course I used enamel dots to add just a little bit of wonderful to the whole thing.  lol...  Even thought it is more on the lines of a Spring card or even an Easter card because of the pink and green I still really like how it turned out.
Alright then,  I had better get my feet a moving and get ready for work.  It is sure to be yet another busy day.  In the meantime have a good one.  I hope to see  you here again tomorrow for yet another card.  "GASP"  I know what your thinking:  "two cards in two days?"  "How is that possible?"   Well, I actually have a week's worth of cards as I was a busy crafty lady this last weekend and I think that my crafty mojo has decided to pay me a visit.  lol.... So I hope that you will come back and check it out.
Hugs Lisa G

In person my enamel dots actually match the ribbon's color perfectly.  Grrrr...
