DILLY BEANS STAMPS...

Good morning everyone.
I hope you all had a great Holiday weekend for those that celebrated it.  I for one was happy to have Monday off  just to get in two days in a row.  It was nice.  The sun was shining all day yesterday.  I am just hoping that it starts to get warmer during the nights so that the pool will retain some of that heat that the sun is adding.  Boo Hoo,  I know such troubles in life....  lol....
So, moving right a long let me get to today's card.  This card is made with one Megan Suarez's awesome digi stamps.  You can purchase her stamps here.  She is a very gifted artist that I think you will find she has quite a bit of different digi stamps for all kinds of things.  I have put up her blog picture on my sidebar so that you will have a quick link to her shop/blog... So this stamp today is #183 Framed Flower Girl and I had so much fun coloring her.   I loved that I was able to make her as big or as small as I wanted to.   I picked out my papers first then decided to use similar colors that were a little more intense so that she would pop off the card.  I was even able to use my new Rock Candy Stickles.  They are super cool and really made the center of my flower have some added dimention.
I really love how she turned out and I think she is going to be the perfect card for a friend of mine that I did not get her Birthday card in the mail on time. :O(   I am the worst when it comes to getting things in the mail.  Anyway, my friend loves bright colors, and I can't help but think of her when I see this.
So, be sure to head over and check out Megan's awesome stamps
Well as you know I have a super busy day ahead of me so I am going to skedaddle.  Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs,  Lisa G

MYSTERY MONDAY WITH KIMLAYU

Hello everyone.
I hope that you are having a great start to your week.  I don't have to work today so I am hoping to get some crafting done.  That and a little relaxing as come Tuesday morning we are going to be swamped at work.
So as today is May 30th this will be my last post as the Farm Fresh Face May guest over on the Greeting Farm's FFF challenge blog.  I just have to say a big... "THANK YOU"  to both Jessica and Rachel for letting me have this wonderful opportunity.  I really had such a great time playing along.  I really am a huge fan of the Greeting Farm and I just feel so honored to have been a part of such a great team.
Ok let me get on with it so that you all can hopefully spend your day doing what you have planned.
As you may know by now today is  Mystery Monday over on the Greeting Farms FFF challenge blog and Sparkle picked out a wonderful card by Kimberly Yu to CASE.  I love her card and it has so many elements that I really wanted to try out.  The stitching part of was one of them,  but I couldn't find any of my threads so I went with writing in my stitches.    I also found in my stash that I do have small banner stamp from the Lucky Bunnies set so I wiped off the sentiment and then stamped in the word that I wanted.  I then used some of this wonderful flower ribbon that my friend Amy Young had given my a while ago.  I am so loving this trim.  lol.....  I added some bling and it was good to go.  Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out.
That's it for me today. Have a great Monday everyone and  I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER....

Hi guys.
I sure hope that your all have a great Holiday weekend.  I didn't do a Sundays with Lucy as I wasn't really sure that too many people were that interested in our silly little cat.  However I have received several emails lately about it not being there.  Of course that doesn't include the phone call I received from my Mom complaining about it.  So,  even though it is late I thought I would share Lucy's newest box.
We had been over to the grocery store the other day and they had six packs of Coke & Diet Coke on sale, so we bought two cases of them.  Jerry finished putting the first case in the fridge to get them cold and when we turned around Lucy had decided that it was going to be her newest bed/box.   She has always had a thing for boxes and I am just happy to see that this one fits her a little better than the last few.
Ok guys  I have to get back to my cards so I will talk at you later.  Be sure to check back in tonight after 10pm as I will be posting my last card for my Farm Fresh Face of the month of May.
Have a  great evening.
Hugs, Lisa G

FARM FRESH FRIDAY-WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY?

TGIF!
I do have to work tomorrow, but that's ok as we are closed on Monday and I totally intend to enjoy the day off.  As I mentioned yesterday we are suppose to go to the M&M's choir concert today, but it will depend on if the rain stays away.  lol.. I guess we'll see.
As I am typing this up on Thursday night for tomorrow's challenge I had better get right to my card so that I can get to bed before to much later.   Over on TGF's FFF challenge blog today you will see that the challenge is to make a card of your favorite Holiday.  I think it took me longer to come up with my answer than it did to make my card once I had the answer.  As you can see I picked Halloween.  Now, this has not always been one of my favorites as Christmas has always been my number one.  However ever since the kids were born I would make their costumes and then it got to be were after we had taken them out to Trick-or-treat and show all of the families their cuteness they would start deciding what they wanted to be for the next year's Halloween.   I have been scrapbooking this event every year since the first one where Mitchell was a little ghost in his jammie.  Then when Madison came along Mitchell was a polar bear that could walk all by himself and Madison was a strawberry complete with painted on seeds.  Even now at 12 & 13 they both get every excited to come up with something to be so that they can go to the local church and play games and get candy.  I used to think this was too old for it, but they are very good about letting the younger kids get their candy.  So, thanks to my M&Ms I just love Halloween now.  I see a whole different side of the holiday than I ever did before.  How could I NOT pick Halloween.  lol....
So head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog and check out what the awesome DT has decided for their cards.  Don't forget to play along too so that you can win more of The Greeting Farm's awesome stamps.
Well everyone have a great weekend.  I will talk at you tomorrow.

.

Good morning to everyone.
I have to start off today by telling you that I think Mother nature has decided to let us know that she will pick when it is summer and when it isn't.  lol... Every since we let the kids swim Tuesday after work it has been raining to some degree.  Mind you I am not in anyway complaining... I would rather put up with our rain any day than to ever have to live through any kind of tornado or be within 100 miles from one ever ever again.    I am truly praying for each and everyone who has been put through that this past week or so.  When I was about 7 or 8 we lived in Georgia and we had a tornado run right next to our home.  I will NEVER EVER FORGET it or how scared I was at the time.  Gee, do you think that might have something to do with the fact that I really don't like the movie  The Wizard of Oz?  Yes, I admit it,  I absolutely hate that movie.  My kid's have never even seen it as I really do not think it a good movie for little kids to see. lol
My boss loves to make fun of me, but I am finding out that there are a lot of closet Wizard of Oz haters out there.  :O)  Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on this morning.  So, let me get right to my card.  I have no clue as to what I did with the card I was going to post, so I sat down after dinner last night and used my newest addition to my Greeting Farm Stamps.  Yes, I have finally purchased OA-My Favorite Thing.  I have always thought that they were very sweet looking but I have been busy buying the Creepers and Anya and Ian so these guys have had to wait their turn.  As I was in a time crush I decided that I would start off with little Amelia here. She wanted to send a friend of mine a little something so we used her on the card. I really really loved coloring her and her hair. Talk about fun.  Now, for another one of  my little secrets.  I was so crunched for time that I didn't even make an inside to my card.  :O(  It just feels so wrong, so today when I get off work I am so going to get that done.
Ok guys, I have rambled long enough.  Have a wonderful day.

SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!

Good morning all.
Did you watch the final Glee for the season?  Did you LIKE it?  Did you LOVE it?  OMG.... I won't go into any details just incase some of you haven't seen it yet,  but I really did enjoy how they put the whole thing together.  I also really really loved the songs that they came up with. Great Job!  I will also mention just how much I love Blaine and just how sweet he is to Kurt. Now all I have to do is wait for the DVD to go on sale and I am a happy girl. lol... Big Smiles!

Ok,  I had better get to today's card.  It is almost that time of year when all the kids are celebrating over the fact that school is finally over for a short while.  Where the sun is shining and you can hear kid's play in the wonderfulness of blue pools all around.  Ahhhh to dream about the fun times.   Opps, I think I got off track.  Well, my friend at work is of course thinking about her sweet Granddaughter that will soon finish up being a 2nd grader.  So that means she needs to have a School's out card for her.  Well I was hanging around the awesome FFF challenge blog when I ran right into Tasha's wonderful card..  I asked her if it would be ok for me to CASE her card and she gave me the thumbs up.  When I was making my card I ran out of room to put the 'out' part on the outside, but I think it turned out pretty cute anyway.  :O)  My friend loved the card, so I have to give Tasha a big "Thank You".   Be sure to check out Tasha's blog.  She is very talented and I just love how she colors her stamps.  I promise you won't be sorry.  lol...
Ok guys it's hump day and I have to hit the road so that I can get the kiddies to school and myself to work.  Before I do however I have to mention that the M&Ms actually swam in our pool last night after I go home from work.  I still think that the water is just a little too cold, so Jerry and I just watched.  I remember being a lot younger and jumping into Lake Pend Oreille off our boat in the middle of March.  However that was a long.........time ago and I am not that young anymore.  lol Oh, and the kids were not allowed to be in the pool for any longer than 15 minutes.  I don't need them getting sick before their big Choir Concert in the Park on Friday.
Have a wonderful day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

WILLIAM'S BOOK MARKER....

Good morning all.  Can I have another Monday May 23rd?  I have to tell you that I really had a great Birthday.  Thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments and sweet Birthday wishes.   It really made my day.  lol...   I even had several well wishes on Facebook (I am not good at that. lol...) .  Then when I got home my Sweet Hubby had bar-b-cued some chicken outside, my middle Nephew came over and we had a wonderful evening.    What can I say,  I had a wonderful Birthday.
Now as I have been rambling on let me get to today's post.  As you all know I have made my M&Ms several book markers over the last year.  Well one of their best friends asked if I could make him one in the University of Washington's school colors.  I guess that is his favorite college.   Well how could I say no!  He had a very specific hair color in mind as well....He wanted Jack to have black hair with purple and blue tips as well as eyes that were green with gold crosses in the middle.  The kids gave him his book marker yesterday and I guess that he just loved it.  Ok guys, it is time to hit the road.  Have a wonderful Tuesday and if you are a Gleek be sure to get home early so you are ready for the big show tonight.  Talk at you tomorrow.

MYSTERY MONDAY...

Hi guys.
I hope that you have all had a great weekend.  We had some sunshine and some ok temps,  but nothing really warm yet.  We did manage to get our pool ready for the Summer.  Yay!   Now all we need is some hot weather and the M&Ms and I will be very HAPPY indeed.
As you all know Mondays mean CASE over on the Greeting Farm Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and this week Leanne picked an awesome card to CASE!  I was in need of one more Birthday card and I have to admit that I was not coming up with much.  Well, when I started taking a closer look at Gio's card I really got into this one.  I am very happy with how it came out.
I really had my mind set to use Mermaid Anya on something this week.  She is the first Greeting Farm stamp that I ever purchased and with everyone pulling from their oldies but goodies a couple of weeks ago I got to thinking about her.  I colored up her awesome hair and face and put her in Cupcake Anya's party clothes along with her cupcake and 'viola'  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  :O)   I also loved how Gio had used a ribbon type banner for her greeting so as I don't have the Spellbinder one,  I free handed mine.  I think it turned out ok,  but I would really love the have the Spellbinder's ribbon banners set.  Oh well, a girl can dream right?  lol
Ok guys,  it is late and I have to work tomorrow so I am gonna hit the hay.  Have a great Monday and I will talk at you tomorrow.  Be sure to visit the FFF challenge blog to see all of the DT's awesome creations.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ...

Good morning.  Is it me or has this week (thankfully) flown by or what?  I am soooo happy that today is Friday.  Yes, I do have to work all day but I am relieved to say that I have the whole weekend off.  It was so warm and sunny yesterday and I am hoping that we get more tomorrow so that we can get the pool started for the summer.  My plan is to hook up the pump again and super shock it.  Wish us luck that everything (including Jerry) goes as I want it to. lol...
As I mentioned yesterday I am in the process of getting everyone's May Birthday cards made and ready to send out.  Well today's card is very dear to my heart.  My friend Amy sent me an early Birthday gift with a fantastic card.  She sent me one of her Awesome Sweet November Zodiac girls.  She also made a beautiful card using the same stamp..   So I thought that I would pay it forward and make a similar card with the Pisces stamp and even try to get the depth of the hair that Amy had achieved.  lol...  I think it turned out Ok, but I still have a way to go when it comes to getting the hair down.  lol..
I love how the papers and the lace made up a sweet little card against Pisces's dark hair.  My friend that I made this for had her Birthday last Friday so she already has her card. She really liked it and I was so happy that she did.  Thanks again Amy for a wonderful Birthday gift.
Ok everyone have a wonderful Friday.  Talk at you tomorrow.

SURPRISE...

Good morning everyone.
I have to work early this morning so I am going to get right to my card...
As you all know May is loaded with Birthdays for alot of my family and friends.  I really don't know how that happened, but it is so that means Birthday cards.  I now know that if I was to send anyone of them a store bought card I would probably get a very nasty phone call... lol  Needless to say I have been a busy girl making some Birthday cards up.
Today's card was one that I was playing around with this weekend when my newest Greeting Farm stamp from Jessica came in the mail.  It is the brand new Splotchy stamp and let me tell you,  If for some reason you don't think you would have a use for it,  you really need to give it a go. You will love it!  I had so much fun with this stamp.  It actually has two different patterns and I used my fluid chalk to make a suttle background for my Leslie to stand in front of.  Leslie didn't want to dress up for this card, so she took off her hat and let her very long hair down from her ponytails.  Cute,  and just her style.
Ok guys, I gotta hit it.  Talk at you tomorrow.

YOU'RE PERFECT-BLACK & WHITE COLOR CHALLENGE

Easel cards are hard to take a good picture.  Just wanted to
show a different angle.  :O)

This is from the Pretty Hat Anya set and I love that you can use
nothing but The Greeting Farm stamps to make a complete card with .

Good morning everyone.  I am sorry,  but I just have to start off with a little Glee review this morning.
I don't know about you guys,  but there wasn't a dry eye in the house.  We were so in tears when it came to Sue's Sister.  They really did a great job with that.   Then we head over to the one thing that I just can not deal with.....Yes, I know it is a show but OMG!  Please get rid of Jessie St James.  I just can't stand him nor can I deal with him going to New York with the club...lol.... Ok, I got that off my chest so let's get right to it.
Today is Wednesday and that means a new challenge over on TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog!!!
As you can see the challenge this week is to make something with nothing  but black and white.  Well,  do my Wedding pictures count?  lol....Kidding, my favorite colors are black and white and in 1993 that is what our wedding colors were.   Coloring,  hmmmm a whole different story.  As you can see however I did give it a go.  It was really fun to make this one up and use some papers that I HAD to have but had not used in over six months.  As you can see I need to practice with the shading on my little girl, but I think for a first time it turned out ok.  I do have to mention that I used the last of this awesome flower trim that my friend Amy gave to me.  Love how the black and silver and white all went together.  I used the warms and next time I think I will try the cools in the Copics.
So,  if you haven't tried this and your a little intimidated give it a go anyway.  You just might surprise yourself and really get addicted.
Well, that's it for me today.  Hope you have a sunny and great day.  Talk at you all tomorrow.  Be sure to head over to the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and see all the wonderfulness going on .
Hugs, Lisa G

HAVING FUN WITH GEISHA ANYA...

Good morning my fellow Bloggers.  I hope that you all had a wonderful start to your week.  Omword we were busy yesterday at work.  Then I had to come home and pick up Jerry so that we could get some groceries shopping done for the week.  I love having the money to that, but it always lands on a Monday and I don't seem to actually get home and have time to sit down at my desk until sometime after 9pm.  That sure makes for a very long day.
So,  now that I have my complaining done.  lol... Let me get to my post for today.  We have these beautiful canes that have cherry blossoms on them and they really remind me of oriental art.  We are trying to clearance them out and I said that I would make a sign to go with the sale.  I knew instantly that Geisha Anya was the girl for the job.  I have her in rubber and I knew that would be too small, so I stamped her up scanned her into my computer then I enlarged her.  Wow, did I ever have a blast coloring her then adding the extra to her flower and to her dress.   You can't see it, but I used a gloss on the flowers for her kimono so that they would stand out.  I then used toothpicks cut in half to give her a set of chopsticks for her hair.  I am sorry to sound like I am bragging,  but I really love how she turned out.  In all my rush to take her to work today I forgot to take a picture of the colors that I used.  Sorry.
Well,  I am off to work so I will talk at you tomorrow.  Hope you all have a good day.
Hugs, Lisa G

I'M HAPPIEST...

Hi guys.   I hope that you all had a great weekend.
Well it looks like we are already heading into a new week and you know what that means.  Yes, it is time again to CASE a card over on TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  This week Tasha has picked a great card by Mariska.  This card is just so sweet and I just love all the happy colors that she has used.  It makes you wish you were five again so that you could be that super hero.   I don't have a little one anymore, but I wanted to use some of my new MME paper from the Lime Twist line and I was thinking that Leslie would be perfect to use with this awesome paper.  Of course I wanted to capture the BIG sentiment on the outside of the card, but I really don't have that kind of stamps.   Then as I was going over all of my wonderful Greeting Farm stamps I ran right into my Spotlight scrapbook set.  OMGoodness problem solved.  In the set as you recall they have a few complete sentiments and I decided that I could stamp up the I'm Happiest part for the front,  then use the rest of this stamp on the inside. Viola!  Perfect card to give to a wonderful preteen that I know.  lol..
Well guys I had better hit the sack.  Monday is just around the corner and that says a full week for me.  So take the time to hit the Farm Fresh Challenge blog with us this week.  You really don't want to miss out on all the fun or on all the wonderful cards that the DT has put together.  I just know you'll love them all.
Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

No,  that's not SpiderCat!

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you are all having a great weekend so far.  I can't believe that it is Sunday already.  Is it me or is this year flying bye?  WOW!  Yesterday was a rainy day, but I really enjoyed the showers and the gray day.  It kind of felt like fall.  I don't mind rainy days as long as they don't last too long.  lol... It is suppose to rain again today and then head back into a week of sunshine and very warm weather.  I have to start my post off today by wishing my Sister-in-law Kara,  a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
As you know I have been making Sundays the day to talk about our silly cat Lucy.  Today is no exception.  I have some crazy pictures of Lucy from Friday night after our company went home. First I have to tell you a little something about when Lucy was a kitten (we got her in April 2009 and she weighed 3lbs.)  That summer she really enjoyed it when the little gnats would come into the house anytime someone would open the front door in the evenings.  In fact she would meow so much that Jerry would lift her up to play and catch them. I'm pretty sure it started out as a way to shut her up.   Well it would seem that some things just don't change when you become a cat.  That is with the exception of their size.  lol
These pictures are of Jerry holding Lucy up after everyone left Friday night.  He would not let me show him, so all of my pictures have been severly croped.  When Lucy started her meowing and watching the ceiling it took all of us a couple of minutes to realize what she wanted.  She is so silly.  Here she is a full grown cat and she has no problem with Jerry lifting her up and holding onto her back end just so that she can play around with some gnats.  The M&Ms and I could not stop laughing about just how silly the whole thing looked.  That is why my pictures are so fuzzy.  :O)   Sorry.  I think Jerry will have to start going to the gym so that he can bulk up if he want to continue to hold our very spoiled cat like that.  lol....
Have a super Sunday everyone and I will talk at you on Monday when we'll have a CASE that card from Tasha over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  Be sure to hop over to get a chance to play and win some stamps.
Hugs, Lisa G
