Flying by to say "HI"

So, due to time factoring into my life at the moment I am literally going to just say "Hi" and share a quick card with you all.  :O)
As for my card today, I made this cutie from The Greeting Farm into a card a couple of weeks ago and just haven't gotten the time to share.  I think she super cute and when I got her I just kind of went with it and decided to pull out some of my dies from TGF and have fun.  I also decided to grabbed my Spellbinders' book die for the background.  I was thinking fantasy book/world famous pilot.  . Just had fun. lol...
Anyhow,  hope you are all doing great and have a lot of fun planned for this weekend.  Ok, off to bed I go.
Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Wanted her cheeks really rosy as she just got done flying around.

Used the text from my paper pad into a banner hoping to add to the movement of the whole plane theme.

To a Special Someone...

Hi everyone.

I hope you are having a great week.  I can't believe it is already Wednesday, but I sure am happy that it is...  Three days down, and just two and a half to go.  :O)  Yep I will be a VERY happy girl come Saturday at 1pm....  lol...

I really wanted to share this card with you as it isn't at all like what I would usually go with.  I have been seeing a lot of stamps on YouTube that look like ink smudges or paint brush strokes, so I wanted to get one and see it I liked it.   I bought this set from Avery Elle and just played around with it.  I think used some black Bazzill cardstock to mount my image and some carefully placed twine to the front of my card.  I like how it turned out, but I really wish I had some different inks to work with.
Speaking of 'Happy Birthday' cards I want to wish my Sister-in-law a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Today is her Birthday and she is an awesome Sister-in-law and a great Mom to three beautiful children.  I am sure that she is a fantastic wife as she is married to my baby brother.  lmbo...  Anyhow, Kara I hope you have a great day and I hope that we all can get together some day soon.  Love you.
Ok guys, have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY...

Good morning all.

I wanted to start this post with a Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and to all of you mothers out there. I hope you all have a wonderful day with your families.  I won't be able to see my Mom today and as you all know Jerry's Mom pasted away just this last February, so I really wanted my Mom to know just how much she means to the both of us.

This part is just for you Mom:
I can't tell you how much I love you with just those three words, but I hope that you know it anyway.  Just to give you a little idea here is a very small list of just a few of the reasons why.   I can think of so many nights that I was allowed to stay up late with you and watch movies while everyone else was fast asleep.  I remember all the times we went out just the two of us on my Birthday to share a great Chinese lunch. :O)  Yep, I am getting hungry just thinking about it.  I also remember when you lost your Mom and how sad you were.  If only I could have done anything to make it all better for you. I can remember all the times you let us have pets that we really didn't need to have and I can remember all the times you would sit and listen to me complain when I had a bad day at work or with a boy.
Sorry I won't be able to see you today, but just know that I will be thinking of you and all the wonderful times we have had together. I love it when you think of something at 4am and know that it is ok to text me even though I have to get up at 5:30... lol... Or that you answer the phone at 3am just to listen to me tell you something funny that the M&Ms have done or of the new cat we couldn't live without was being weird and I just have to share it with you at that moment. lol...   Yes, I love that I got your crazy and I love that you picked the Best Man in the world to marry and spend your life together with.  I love that you give me a great Dad in doing so.  I hope that you have a wonderful day and because I know that you love yellow roses I hope that you know these were made just for you. They may not smell as wonderful as the ones Dad bought you, but they come from my heart just as much.  I love you and I am so thankful that God made you my Mom.
I also want to wish all of my followers that are Moms a Happy Mother's Day as well.  If you can call your Mom or give her a hug today.  As a Mom myself I can't think of a better job in the world.
Have a great day all and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G

Just a little about this card. Everything on it with the exception of the darken parchment paper was made out of Natural White Neenah Card Stock.  I wanted to be able to use my inks and get the specific colors on the roses and everything else.  I used a whole lot of dies and I used my new Tim Holtz round blending tools.  I love how it turned out and I hope you guys do as well.

I just loved how my parchment paper looks and I was getting ready to toss it for a new sheet when I felt like it really looked like old paper and has a bit of a see through look to it.  I had to use Glossy Accent to get it to stay put, but that is ok as I just hid it behind things.  :O)

I took a close up of the roses as I used my Wink of Stella after I was all done with my card just to give them a hint of sparkle.  In real life it really look very nice.  I think I just might be getting rid of or putting away all my ink daubers as these work so well.

Hello...

Ola,

Hope you are all having a bright and sunny Saturday.
I am sitting here melting pearlier beads and faceted beads in the hopes of stocking up on a little bit of home made enamel dots.  They are not perfect and I still want ALL the enamel dots in the land, but for now I think I will give this a go and see how it turns out.
While I wait to pull the next batch of beads out of the oven I thought I would share another card I made last week with you all.  This card doesn't have even one little enamel dot on it or, for that matter a stamped image.  No, not a one to be found.  In their place I have used a set of Hot Off the Press' Dazzles and a sentiment die from The Greeting Farm.  lol... I really am very happy with how this came out and I really love the black from the stickers against all the colors.
Ok so this is short and sweet.  Still have to make a  Mother's Day card before I run out of time.
Talk at you all tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G

This is the only part that wasn't made from stickers. This is a sentiment die from The Greeting Farm

Simply Tress...

Hi Guys!

Happy Friday.   I have today off and if all goes well, I might get a little crafting in before the M&Ms are home from school. :O)  Not that they cause me to miss out on my crafting, but I like to spend time with them and talk about how their days went and so on.
So, I am going to get right to it. This card came to be,  because of my wonderful friend Amy.  She knew that I have been wanting ' Tress' so bad and that I had to wait to get her.  Well Amy was so so so sweet that she sent me a gift card from The Greeting Farm as an early Birthday Gift  just so that I could get her.  Amy, I can not say "Thank YOU" enough!  I just love Tress and even though I have been so scared to color her up as she is so beautiful I am glad that I did. :O)  She is so pretty and I just love her.  lol... Yes, I know that I am a nerd. But hey I just love me a good Greeting Farm stamp, and Tress is that girl for me at the moment.
Once I managed to color her hair it was time to give her some clothes, so I decided to paper piece her dress out of some doodlebug design papers and color her flowers to match.  I then wanted to use my new stitched rectangle dies from Lil'inkers designs that my family got for me as an early gift as well. Thanks again Amy for leading me to the website, I love the stitch look, and this set is awesome.  While they were buying me the dies they also picked up the mini bow die and I just had to use it on this card to go with the happy papers and the really sweet fairytale kind of girly feel that 'Tress' has about her. :O)

Have a great day and I will talk at you later.

Hugs Lisa G

OMG...

Hi guys,
I am going to try and make this a quick post.  I really wanted to share my card with you that I made with this really cute little stamp that I bought at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago. The M&Ms had a half day at school and I had the day off, so  we headed to the Tri-Cities for an afternoon of fun and a little shopping.  As always we all had a great time and of course I did a little bit of craft shopping. :O)  The sad part of the whole trip was due to the fact that I could not find the one thing I wanted the most.   Can you believe that after dragging my family through  Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Crafter's Warehouse I could not find even one of  Tim Holtz's  little ink pads?.....  :O(   I know they come in packs and I was so upset that I couldn't find any of them.  Grrr.... Oh well, I will just have to shop online.  (Like I need an excuse for that!)
Anyway, as I said, I really need to be quick with my post as I still need to polish my nails and I am dog tired after a very busy Monday at work.
So, I used this cutie and because she looks so spunky I thought I would put her with this really cute stamps set from HeroArts called LOL.... There will be another card with that stamp set in the near future.
As you can see I am still very much addicted to my enamel dots, and I pulled out some of the doodlebug designs papers and 'Sprinkles' just to go with this somewhat of an 80's girl with her neon outfit.   I just think this is a fun card and I really had a great time playing with it.  Oh, did I mention the stamp was on clearance for $1.50?  Yep, I totally scored!  LIKE TOTALLY!!!  lmbo....
Ok guys, I am off to polish my fingernails and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

Trying New Things...

Hi guys,

I am so happy to be able to share a few cards with you this week, but first I want to ask you all a couple of questions.  The first question is kind of a beginners kind of question, but one I still want to ask anyway.  :O)  When you guys post your cards on your blogs or even post videos on YouTube do you go back and delete them off of your computers?  The seconds question is about my blog posts themselves.  I am wondering if you prefer my posts to be just about my cards and the products that I use,  or if you guys are ok with how I have always posted?   You know talking about family and work and whatnot....  Just curious.  Let me know if you will.  Thanks in advance.  .
So, just in case you would prefer I just get on with it I will get started with my card that I have for today.  I have been watching YouTube videos and seeing all the new trends that everyone is into as well as seeing different ways you can use your die cut words.  Well, of course I have really wanted to try a few of these ideas out and the first one I had to try was cutting out a word die and then gluing four or five of the same die cut together to make is really have some height to it.  I then used my Glossy Accents on top on the word to make it shine all the more and really make it the focal point of my card.  Well, I have to tell....It is So Much Fun and I just LOVE how it turned out with really no work at all.
Once I had my word cut out and put together I decided to use some yellow design paper with it and keep it a very simple color combo. Because I had cut out my word in the black I felt that yellow would really make it shine all the more and then of course you just have to have a little white in there as well.   You can tell that I finally was able to get my hands on the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journeling card die too.
We took the M&Ms on a short trip a week or so ago and while we were in a town that had both Michaels and JoAnns we took a little detour for me. (I am sorry to add at this point, that both stores really had very little to offer, so I think I will stick with my online shopping and not worry about making that hour or so drive. )    Thankfully,  Crafter's  Warehouse was having a great sale on Lawn Fawn dies, so I did pick up the 'hello'die and the 'Journeling card' die.  It was such a good sale, that I was able to get them both together for less than just one of them would have cost me to buy online.   Yay!!!  That doesn't happen too often for me.  :O)
It turns out that I really love that stitched look, so don't be too surprised when you see a few more cards with it being used along the way.  lol... I also had a lot of fun pulling out some products that I have had in my stash for at least 5 years or more.  :O)
Ok, I am going to head off  to bed now,  as I want to get up early tomorrow and get some more cards made up to share.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, and I will talk at you all later.
Hugs Lisa G
