hello...

Hi guys.
Wow, can you believe it's already been a week since I went back to work after our wonderful Spring Break?    You can I see that I haven't even shared one card since last week.  :O(   So,  I am here now and I have another little body swapping of my Greeting Farm Creeper Crew girls to share with you.  I tell you, I think this just might be one of my favorite swaps yet.  lol...
If you haven't played around with this style of stamping I highly recommend you give it a try. I think you will just love what you come up with, and the possibilities are endless.
Today's card is one that I actually made last week and I had planned on using her for The Greeting Farm  challenge to use flowers on your card or project..  My only little, tiny ittibitie mistake was that I waited too long to post it and the challenge has already ended....  lol....  Oh well, I really like this one and it's ok not to submit it.  I just love that they give me so much inspiration for my cards.
I am going to keep this short today as I need to head over to the grocery store and pick up a little of the last minutes things for our London Broil that Jerry will be making on the barbecue.  It is soooo YUMMY!  I can't wait for tomorrow now.  From the looks of it I'd better make it quick as I am sure all of the grocery stores are just dreadfully today.  (WISH ME LUCK) I am so going to need it.  :O)
Hope you have a great Easter and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

I just can't help myselfie....

Hi guys.
Happy Friday everyone.  I hope you are all having a great day and are about to head into a great weekend.
It has been a great Spring Break for all of us here at the Gobea house.  Even though we were only able to head out of town for a short time (family members getting sick while you visit does not a fun trip make for anyone.)  we have made up the difference here at home.  We have been having a lot of fun time together, and we even managed to do some work together as well.   Yep, we did some MAJOR Spring cleaning, and I've got to tell you even the M&Ms are feeling pretty good about all of the improvements and cleaning that we have been able to accomplish.  :O)  I know it sounds weird, but think about how great you feel after you clean your desk and organize all of your supplies that you have been meaning to get to.  Well, that is how we all felt after spending the whole day working on all of our bedrooms. We did them together so that it wouldn't seem like such a daunting task and it would go faster as well.  They all look so great and if it wasn't suppose to be a family week I'd spend the whole day in our bedroom just admiring how much more I love the room.  lol
Ok, so I know you didn't come over here to hear about our cleaning or our family break either. So let me get to my card for the day.  I grabbed this digi image out of my stack of printed out stamps the other day and started to really take my time and just color her.  I have always loved this image and one of my favorite things to do is enlarge her head and just color her face and hair.  She is so pretty.  Once I finished coloring her up I just loved how she turned out, so I needed to figure out how I was going to use just her head to make a card.  Hmmmmm, can you say Polaroid die? Do I hear the word Selfie?  Yep, I went there.  lol..
I just loved how she turned out and I just happen to know a gorgeous blond hair girl that just might like to get this card in the mail.  So I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.  I just can't recommend coloring for just the sake of coloring enough. It really got me back into the mood to be creative.
Well,  I think I'll give the M&Ms and Jerry the day off and see about all of us taking in a new movie or something.  Hope you all have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G

Scooting by to say hi...

BEFORE I GET TO MY POST FOR TODAY I NEED TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING THAT REALLY BOTHERS ME.  'SPAM'   IT SADDENS ME SO MUCH TO DO THIS, BUT DUE TO ALL THE SPAM THAT I FOUND HIDDEN IN MY PAST POSTS  I AM TEMPORARILY PUTTING BACK ON MY WORD VERIFICATION.
I AM SO, SO SORRY AS I KNOW IT IS A PAIN AND VERY HARD TO READ. UNFORTUNATELY AT THIS TIME  I FEEL THAT I NEED TO DO THIS. IF ANY OF YOU HAS ANY IDEA HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM OR HAS A BETTER IDEA I WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU WOULD LET ME KNOW.  :O(

OK!  Onto happier things....

I hope you are all having a great week so far.   We are still sitting in sunshine, so no matter what I am a happy girl.  :O)

When I got up this morning I was working on my card bin and putting away my most recent cards when it occurred to me that I have been making quite a few 'thank you' cards.  I'm not sure why,  I must just be in a thankful mood lately.  Not a bad thing I am sure.  However I decided that I wanted to mix it up a bit, so I sat down and made a couple cards.
Today's card  is a simple one that I made just for the fun of it. (Loves those once in awhile)  Because it is so sunny right now, and even though the mornings are still very  'CRISP'  I wanted to make a card that kind of shows you how I feel this week.  I really love the cloud paper that I used for my background.  If fact I was quite shocked that I had something so cute in my stash.  OMGoodness,  I so need to go on a paper run soon! I want to get some of the new ADORABLE 6X6 paper pads  that are out there. I will just wait until they get a little older and then Crafter's warehouse will have a huge sale on them and I will stock up.  Good thing paper doesn't have an expiration date on it.  lol....  Anyway, back to reality... I went with a fun card with bright colors as we really are having a wonderful week being together and having fun/full family days.  That is my idea of perfect!  I LOVE these two M&Ms of ours!
I have to admit that it is taking everything I have not to share my second card that I made as I just love how it turned out.  But I am going to be super good and wait until tomorrow. lol... Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs Lisa G

THANKS...

Hi there,

I thought I would drop in a quick post before we start our second day of Spring Break.  :O)
I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far.  We have been hitting the low 70's over here with tons of sunshine and hardly any wind.  Why yesterday didn't even have that much wind at all and for this part of Washington that is an amazing thing all in and of  it's self.  lol....
Ok, let's get to my card for today.   I wanted to make something just a little different.  I was over on the Simon Says Stamp blog when I came across their post from yesterday that was to make a card, a scrapbook page or just about anything that shows a journey to you. Well, for me this card is somewhat of a journey.  You see, when I first started my blog and making my cards in general I was just using my Copics for the fun of it and stamping a little bit of picture kind of stamps.  Lately I have decided that I wanted to branch out a little bit and try different techniques while I was at it.  So, I figured this would be the perfect time to try something different and also enter to win a $50 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamps as well.  Wish me luck as I would soooo love to buy some Bazzill cardstock and that would truly go a long way to getting it.  :O)
So, on this card not only did I just use chipboard letters as my focal point, but I also used a background stamp (that I was actually going to just give-away as I had never used it) to make my cardstock have a sort of texture to it much like the chipboard letter do. I have to tell you that even though it is a simple card I love it.  I love how it turned out just as I had imagined it would.  I really wanted to use the abbreviation  for 'thanks' like we all do when we text someone.

As you can see I used the  'Thx'  letters to stand for my Thanks on my card.  Of course my 15 year old Daughter says that I am wrong, but I really don't care in this case as I think it works.  lol.... Sorry don't have an abbreviation dictionary.  lol... I may not be a teenager and know everything, but I still think this card turned out great.  You can also see that I am still using those enamel dots, but I really love them and I love how they can help add to your multiple colors on your card without really over shadowing everything else.
Ok guys, I have been up since 2 am as I just couldn't sleep, so I am going to go try for at least a couple hours of rest before we leave for the day. Hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G
This little sentiment stamp came as part of my 'DieHard' club from The Stamps of Life just yesterday in the mail and '
I have to say I love it. I think it works out down in the corner so that I can write a note on the inside and not have to worry about where to put it all.

SPRING BREAK!!!

Hi guys.

Well today is my official first day of Spring Break.  Ok, the kids started theirs on Friday at 11:35, but as I have been working a lot of overtime this past week I pretty much just lounged around my whole day yesterday.  Hence this is going to be my first day of Spring Break.  Yep, that's how I see it and that is what I'm going with.
We don't have a huge plan for the week, but instead a bunch of little trips to see family and just have an all around fun week. (I hope!  You know how plans can go astray, and OMG we always have them go astray.  lol.)
So, as my official first day I am heading out on a walk with my hubby and then we are all going to have a great day at home and make the kids a wonderful dinner of bar-b-qued steak with some Benny fries and corn on the cob.  Yumm, I just finished my breakfast and now I am wanting dinner.  :O)  What can I say, we are a meat and potato kind of family. lol....
Ok, lets get onto today's card.  This card is another one of my mash ups of my Creeper Crew stamps from The Greeting Farm.  I just couldn't help pulling out little Monday and Thursday to come up with a wonderful little stamp that makes my card and me feel happy.  I tend to go with my Creeper Crew stamps  anytime I am wanting for new stamps as you can always get something different just by changing out a head with a great outfit/body.  Let's face it I probably have more than enough stamps, but I keep watching YouTube and checking out blogs that always makes me think I need more stamps and goodies.  Grrr... My name is Lisa and I am a card making supply aholic....
I am in the Spring/Summer mood what with it being so sunny here at the moment and next week is suppose to get up into the 70's, so I am a happy girl.  I only bring it up as I made this card with a very bright color pallet and it just makes me smile with all those colors.
You will also notice I went a little enamel dot crazy on this one, but I just love them and I love the way that you can add so much color to a card with these wonderful little dots. :O)
Ok, if you are stilling hanging in there, Thanks So Much!  I really am so thankful to all of you sticking around while I have been MIA for so long due to life. You all mean the world to me.
Have a wonderful day and if you are just starting your Spring Break I hope you have an awesome one.  Talk at you later.
Hugs Lisa G
