FFF Challenge-Message Me

     Well hi there.
I almost think I need to re-introduce myself.   It feels like forever since I last  posted anything or even felt like touching my computer to get to any ones blogs.   :O)  I have been so sick with strep this  week and I didn't even get out of bed today until a little after 4pm when Jerry got home from picking up Maddie from school.  Unfortunately for Mitchell he has been sick with the same thing and he too has been on the couch since Sunday.   I won't go on complaining as who wants to read about that.  All I can say is that I am very thankful at this moment to feel so much better.  I can not wait to head back to work tomorrow as I feel like I have missed out on so much this week.  lol... Never thought I'd  ever be happy to be heading back to work.  However, you just don't realize how good it is to get up and participate in life until you can't.
So, enough about all that.  I actually had a few cards that I made up this last weekend and one of them was this card that I want to enter into the FFF Challenge over on the Greeting Farm  blog.  The challenge is to use paper that has words already written on it.  Well, come on... if you've bought any of the 6x6 paper pads in the last couple of years I am sure that you will be able to find something in your stash. lol..
I did use my copics to color up little Sadie here, but I honestly don't know what I did with my list, and I still don't feel that good to try and figure it out, so I will just post my card and let it go at that.
If you have the time be sure to check out the challenge as it really was a fun card to make and I think you would love it as well.
Hope you are all well and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Final Thank You card for the week...

Hi guys.
I am so glad that today is Friday.  I do have to work tomorrow, but Saturdays always go by pretty quick and  no matter what,  Friday is always Friday and that is a good thing.  :O)
So today I wanted to share my last 'thank you' card that I made this last weekend.  Of course, I saved one of my favorite cards for last.  (I thought that way if I didn't get to post this weekend, I would at least have a cute card on my blog.)  Yes, that is how my mind works.  No kidding.  lol....
Of course when I think of cute I always think of the Cheeky girls from The Greeting Farm for sure.  I know I always say the the Creeper Crew stamps are my faves,  but the Cheekys are a very very close second for me.  I just love the vintage/attitude/pinup kind of look to them.  So I pulled out Cheeky Geeky for this card as she looks so pretty with her outfit on and I really love practicing my coloring with her hair.    My friend has three daughters, and I really wanted to capture their gold blond hair color on this one.  I am very happy to say that when she got this card that was the very first thing she mentioned about it,  and what made me even happier was that her daughter that just started wearing glasses was the one that she felt Cheeky Geeky looked the most like.  :O)  Don't you just love it when someone that likes to be createtive thinks you did a good job?
Well,  I will let you guys get on with your day so that you might have a GREAT FRIDAY.  So, have a great one and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Flying By...

Good morning everyone.
I for one am super happy to see that it is already Thursday.  :O)  I realize that Friday would be even better, but as I work this weekend I think I'll just be content to get to Thursday so fast.  lol..
I am going to get right to it today as I need to get in the shower so the M&Ms will have hot water for when they get up very soon.   As you can see I have yet another 'Thank You' card for you today.  This is one that I picked up the design idea from the Lawn Fawn blog.  I thought it was such a cute card and I really liked how it looked so cute, but it had such a clean look to it so I decided to CASE it. I then added a few of my own ideas to the overall card and I think it turned out to be fun but simple card.
Another thing that I want to share with you it that all of the 'thank you' stamps are ones that the Lawn Fawn store send to you as a thank you gift each time you buy stamps from them.  I love the idea of it and I am very happy to so many choices to choose from.
Thank you everyone for all your sweet comments. I can not wait to have a few minutes to come around and enjoy what you all have been up to this week. Until I do, I hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
As you might be able to guess I have another 'Thank you' card to share with you, but it just might get a little 'Cheeky'  lol... You'll just have to wait and see. :O)
Hugs, Lisa G

So many ways of saying

Thank You!

Hi guys.  So you might be noticing that there is a certain theme to my cards this week.  :O)  Well yes there is.  lol... I had  a friend of mine that asked me if I could make up a few  'Thank You' cards for her to send to her friends and family when she needs to.
I wanted to come up with some fun ways of using stamps and other things to make them so that she would have a variety on hand.   As you can tell I did use mostly my favorite stamps, but I just had fun and really just enjoyed making them all.
I don't know about you guys, but every once in a while I will color up a stamp and for whatever reason it just doesn't seem to be working for me at the time, so I put it away with the paper pad that I had in mind to use when I picked out the colors.  I figure that I can always come back to it and perhaps get a chance to put it to good use.  Well, this little Do Si Do Anya  just so happened to be one of those stamps.  I have to say that even though her hair isn't as pretty as I would like it to be it still worked out to be a pretty cute card.  lol... As you can see I even had a great time using the papers in an off set way to add a little wimzy to this card.
Well,  once again I am tired and I am getting ready to head to bed, so I will talk at you guys later.  Please forgive me for not being around so far this week, but I am hoping to get caught up with everyone later this week.   Until then have a great week and I'll talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Many Thanks...

Hi guys,
Well the week is on and I can already say that it is going to be a busy one once again.  Because of that and the fact that I am so tired at the moment I am going to get right to today's card.
I was finally able to purchase a couple of this months' new releases from The Greeting Farm and one of them was none other than CC Friday Night.  I just love me those Creeper Crew stamps!  :O)
As you can see I gave Friday Night some really awesome colored clothes as the person I made her for says that this green is her all time favorite color.  I even pulled out an embossing folder and some of my Spellbinders to give this card just a little more depth for her.
Ok guys, I am so going to bed as I have another full day ahead of me and I am just about ready to drop.  Thanks so all of you for your sweet comments on my card from yesterday.  I love them all and so enjoy reading each and everyone of them.
Have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Retro sketches #47

Hello.
I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I have been very creative this weekend, and I managed to get six cards made between yesterday and today.  :O)  Needless to say I am one happy girl at this very moment.
I decided to start this week off with a card I made for the retro sketches blog that I just discovered.  I was checking out a few of my favorite blogging friends when I cam across a post that was for this blog.  Of course I just had to check it out and I instantly had an idea as to what I wanted to do for my card.

I have some wonderful crochets flowers that my sweet friend Amy had sent me last year for my Birthday, and like most of us I have them all stored in a very safe place at my desk.  Up until today I had never intended to use them as they are very special to me as Amy's Sister Jacqueline makes them by hand.,  :O)  So as you can guess they have been in the hoard drawer for months.
So to keep this short,  I did indeed pull these beautiful flowers out and used them to make this card for the Retro Sketch #47 challenge.  You will see that I didn't even pull one Copic marker for this card.  'Gasp!' However, I love love, love how this one came out.  I also up-cycled some Prima flowers' packaging to use as my design paper behind the sentiment.
I do have to mention one disappointing issue about my blog and that is that just as soon as I can figure out how to do it, I am going to be re-activating my security settings on my comments section as I received over 128 spam comments this weekend on a post that I had done in 2010.  It took me over an hour to go in an delete each and everyone of them that I could find, and it is just too much.  So, if you are one of the few of my followers that hates putting in those annoying words and numbers, I hope that you will forgive me the inconvenience and still comment as you all mean the world to me and I love hearing from you so much.

Close up of these gorgeous flowers!  Thanks again Amy.

What do you guys think of this?  I don't have a stamp,
so I print this then I cute it out with a Spellbinders die.
Jerry thinks I should put this on the back of all my
cards...

So with all that,  I hope you all have a great start to your week, and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

PS,  I just wanted to let you all know that I finally have all the kinks out of my Pawpawrazzie blog worked out, so if you were one of the ones that wanted to become a follower to that fun blog you can do so now.  Thanks again guys, I really appreciate all your support of me, the M&Ms and now the fur babies.
Hugs, Lisa

Simple storage solution...

Good morning all.
I was shopping at Staples before Christmas and I found these awesome heavy duty secure-top sheet protectors by Martha Stewart.   They come in three different styles, all in the basic 8 & 1/2 by 11 sheet protector size.   You can choose between the full sheet, the two pocket- divided in half horizontally or the one that is divided into four pockets.  These protectors come 10 sheets to a packet and I don't think I paid over $4.00 per pack.  :O)   You can see that I don't have a ton of  Lawn Fawn stamps (yet), but I have to tell you that I love how well these protectors work with the stamps.
All I did was use a little adhesive to put the plastic backing onto the paper insert of the stamps.  All I do is pull out whatever stamp set I want and the sheet and the name of the set is all right there for easy use.   I just love how organized they came out and when I get all the new ones that are coming out from CHA I am going to be so happy!   I might even have to take more pictures of my collection.  :O)    I haven't decided if  I am going to use my label maker to put the name of the sets on each cover-top, but I did include one that made to show you how it would look.   One of the things I love about Lawn Fawn stamps is that every set has the name written on the protector.  However I might just label the page protector just so that I can alphabetize them and then put them away with ease at the end of a project or card. lol... What do you think.
I have wanted to share my idea for how I decided to store my Lawn Fawn stamps, but I haven't really put too much thought into it until I was hopping along this weekend and came across Grace's blog post.  I always love to visit Grace's blog to see what she is making, but on January 4th she shared all of her Wonderful stamps and how she stores them... Part of Graces' post was the question of how do you store yours?  Well Grace, and everyone else..... Here is my idea.  So guys, how do you store your stamps?   I would love to see what you guys do for your stamp storage.
Have a wonderful day everyone and I will talk at you later.
Hugs,  Lisa G

Simple  D-ring binder. (Still need to decorate it)

Inside pocket for book or orders placed.  :O)

I use the 4 pockets for small sets.

I love these pockets for the big sets.

This shows the back side of my pocket.  I store my  mask behind the stamp so I don't have to remake one when I need it.

Love how the alphas work in these page protectors.

This is how they look at the
store in case you wanted to find them.  :O)

These really work great to keep them
in the pockets.

Smitten...

Hi everyone.
It would seem that it is already Monday once again.  I don't know about you but it just seems to come around a whole lot faster than Friday does.  lol... Oh well, no sense in complaining.  Hopefully this will be a bit more relaxed at work and if all goes well I'll be able to finally get back my half day on Thursday. I really love picking the M&Ms up from school  and I have missed being able to do just that these last couple of weeks.   Don't mind working the extra hours as it ends up giving us a leg up on the house hold bills or extra money for all those goodies that will soon be coming out from CHA.  lol... Big smiles here!  :O)
I am getting ready to watch Downton Abbey before I head off to bed so I had better make this a quick one.  I have to blame my very sweet friend Amy for getting me hooked on this awesome program and I tell you if you haven't seen it yet you really should give it a go.  Get yourself hooked up with HuluPlus and be prepared to be obsessed for several hours with an awesome show that takes place in the early 1900s.
So on with today's card.  I was looking for another image to give my friend a couple choices for her Granddaughter's card and so I went a looking over on the Tiddly Inks blog..  I didn't have to look long before I came up with an adorable stamp and a ton of hearts to go with her.  Sorry I didn't write down the name of this stamp, but I am sure you can find her with ease.  I also decided to paper piece most of her outfit and her accent hearts just for the fun of it.  I know I went a little overboard with bling, but it is a little girl's card and who doesn't love themselves some pink bling?  I also used a new paper pad that I bought from WeRMemoryKeepers and I really had fun bringing out all the various colors in the pad.
Ok guys, I will let you check it out for yourselves.  I hope that you all have a great week.  I also want to thank my newer followers and for everyone that is always so kind to leave me such nice comments.  I seem to be having some problems with anonymous spam comments, but I am really trying to hold off from changing back to my security setting on my blog.  Keep your fingers crossed as I know a lot of you hate that.
Have a good one and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

No card Sunday...

Hi guys,
I hope you have all been enjoying your weekend so far.  I didn't end up making any cards yesterday, but I did manage to get groceries bought for the week to come and now I can spend today getting my craft desk back in order and hopefully get some crafty time in.
We had a very cold day yesterday and today looks to be more of the same.  Oh well it does look really pretty with all the sunshine, so I just pretend that it is nice and warm out while I sit in my cozy house. :O)
Last night my youngest asked me if we could check out this web sight called  webcamtoy and play around with it for a little while.  I am always very hesitant to use anything other than my blog that might endanger my kids, but as this is a site that they use at school (don't ask me why) I decided that I would chance it and once I got the setting so that I trusted everything it really turned out to be a very fun and addicting time.  lol... We took so many pictures of us playing around.  I finally decided on just a handful to share with you all.
I am sure that by now you have all realized that I don't really like to be in front of a camera, but as this was fun and the pictures are more for the fun of it than for any kind of serious kind of photo shoot I decided to be brave and put you through the horror of my pictures with my adorable daughter.   Yes, we were in the bedroom with blankets and from time to time a cat or two.  Because it is so cold we actually have blankets over our windows to help keep the heat in even more than normal.  So please don't mind our mess, just trying to stay warm.  :O)   If you have a laptop or a PC with a camera on it and have little ones or even teenagers in your house I encourage you to take a few minutes out of your day and head over to webcamtoy.  I assure you that you will not be disappointed!   :O)
Well that's it for me today.  Have to get my crafty on now.  Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
Hugs, Lisa

Happy Valentine's Day...

Hi guys.
First let me just say "TGIF"!   I can not even begin to tell you what busy week it was at work.  OMWord,  I am so so happy that I have this weekend off and as I am getting a cold I am really not planing on doing too much.  lol..
I am even considering taking my shower and then putting back on my comfy PJ's.  :O)  Our weather has been so cold and I can't think of a better way to spend a very cold day but in my house with my family while we all just snuggle in and watch a good movie.  Of course we'll have to all agree on the movie and I have to tell you that seems to be getting harder everyday.  lol...
So, let's get to my card.  I actually colored this adorable Tiddly Ink's stamp last Saturday and had the outside of the card almost completely done when Jerry was nice enough to tell me that Downton Abbey was starting at 8pm and not at 9pm as I thought it was suppose to.  Due to the fact that  he gave me  this info at 7:58pm and I have to confess that this poor little card has been sitting on my desk every since.  :O)  I am not kidding when I tell you that it was SUPER BUSY WEEK!
I hope you all have a great weekend and I will talk at you tomorrow if everything goes like I plan.  Wish me luck.
One last thing before I head off to bed.  Is anyone else having problems with loading their pictures the old fashion way.  I have had to download Picasa on my laptop and I can not seem to get the hang of this!  I so need help!  :O(  It has taken my over an hour just to load my pictures, and then the stupid thing deleted my pictures of Loki on m Pawpaw-Razzie blog.  Grrrr.... I am not even going to try and fix that tonight as my patience and good humor has run out the front door.  lmbo

Hugs, Lisa G

My fur babies' new blog...

Good morning all my blogging friends.
It is finally Saturday and even though I still got up early to get some things done before the M&M's friend came over I am very very happy to finally have a day off.  Yesterday was a very very LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG day and I can honestly say that all three of us were very happy for it to be over.  :O)
I did just want to drop in today and let you all know that after much consideration that I have finally made up my mind to start yet another blog to share all of my pictures of our fur babies.  I used to be one of those people that would wonder why anyone would want to share pictures of their animals,  but since we first got Lucy we just can't seem to get enough of them, as I am sure you have all noticed.  lol...
Anyway the decision comes so that I can keep my crafty posts for those of you that would really just prefer to see the cards and such and then if you do want to see the madness that makes up our family and cats you can check in there.
The only thing that I don't really like about it is that my original name for my  blog was already used and then my second one blogger would not let me use the - in the title.  So the new blog will be call PawpawRazzie.... It works.  lol  I hope you all like it.
Wishing you all a great Saturday and I will talk at you tomorrow and I am off to work on a couple of cards.
Hugs,  Lisa G

Be Mine...

Hi guys.
I hope that you all had a wonderful New Years Eve.   We had a nice one with the kids and even stayed awake to toast in the new year with them as well.  Got to love that Sparkling Apple cider.  We did have a bottle of Champagne, but one smell and the M&Ms just didn't want to even try it.  lol... I must admit it isn't really my favorite thing in the world either.
So, as you can guess today's card is my first Valentine's Day card.  I know it is a tad early for it, but I was just in the mood to color this little lady up and the more I go into it the more I felt like she would make a perfect Valentine ready to go out on the town with her true love.  I also came up with her colors from the echo park paper pad  'Be Mine'  I love the pretty pinks and black together and I even decided to use the front cover of the pad as my sentiment.  I fussy cut it out, pulled out my Eiffel tower die cut from 'My Favorite Things' and added that over the smaller picture on the sentiment.
I also pulled out my newest Spellbinder and cut out a frame from it so that Princess Rose Red could look like she was coming out of it.  All in all I really love how it came together.
Well I am back to work today, so I had better get a on.  I am sure that it is going to be a very busy day, but a fast one as well.  If I am not around for a day or two you'll know that I am working and then coming home only to go to bed.  I am sure that I am going to  be uber tired as when you are not there for a while it does take me a day or two to get back into the groove.  lol.... Not as young as I used to be.  :O)
I do however want to thank all of my subscribers that I have had forever and to welcome the new ones that have come over and been visiting me lately.  It really makes my day when I come home and read all of your sweet comments.  You all mean the world to me.  I am excited to say that I am almost to 150 subbies.  I think when I finally hit 150  I will have to do some kind of give-a-way.  I really think that would be so much fun.
Hope you have a great rest of your week everyone and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
