FLOWER JAR...

Good Friday morning everyone.
I hope that you have all had a great week.  I am happy to report that I did indeed make it through work yesterday.   I was  pretty warn out by the time I came home,  however  it does seem as if  the medicine is starting to do it's job. Yay!  :O)
Well today I have yet another one of the  projects that I manage to get done last weekend. I am thinking I was really starting  to feel sick though as now that I look at this picture I see that the paper is on croucet.  One of the girls at work had brought one of those big jars of Red Vines to work about a month ago and I asked if once it was all gone if I could have the jar.   Well I finally got my hands on it.  I washed it out so that I could used it for all the little flowers that I have. My flowers from before I started to blog  were overflowing from one of my desk  drawers.  lol...   I wanted to see how I liked the whole idea so that come Birthday time I could let Jerry know that I wanted something similar in glass.  heehee..   I am happy with how it is working out for my flowers, but I am thinking if I do get one in glass I wouldn't bother with the stamped picture.   I only did this so that I could cover up the parts of the label that just would not come off.
Ok,  I am gonna get going.  Hope you all have a great Friday.   I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

SPELLBINDER STORAGE...

I haven't decided how I want to put the title on the covers, so for now I left them like this.

As you all know the Greeting Farm stamps are my all time favorites.

I also wanted to make them with little to no bling so that when they are on my shelf they won't get ruined or crinkled up.

So of course I had to use the Cheeky Girls to play with these wonderful
Webster's Pages. :O)

Hi everyone.
I am going to make this super quick.  Today is going to be my first day back to work,  and I am running very low on energy so far.  The Dr's have agreed that my bronchitis has turned into a case of pneumonia, so I haven't been able to work at all this week.  I am feeling a little better,  just don't have much energy.  :O(
I have however wanted to share my new storage for my Spellbinders since Saturday.  I don't know how many of you know that it is on my YouTube channel,  but just in case you haven't seen it  I took a few (not) so good pictures to share with you.   Mind you this was not my own idea.  I had been seeing a whole bunch of different ideas on YouTube this last month.  Even tried a couple of them.  This idea came from Arlene (mybutterflykisses12) and you can check it out here.   I have to say that this is the one that I really liked the best. It works so good for my area (don't every big) and I can store them on my shelf without taking up a lot of space.  If you would like to see my first video of my storage you can see it here.  lol ... Ok guys,  I had better try and get going.  Wish me luck.   Have a wonderful day.  It is suppose to rain here, but I don't mind.  :O)  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

DIGITAL GET DOWN-TGF FARM FRESH CHALLENGE BLOG...

Good morning everyone.  I am not feeling too great right now and I can't sleep so I thought that I will type up my post ahead of schedule.   I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.   I am so sorry that I did not get the chance to post anything for you yesterday.  I woke up still feeling yucky from this bronchitis,  but I got myself ready for work and took the kids to school when all of a sudden I really felt bad.  I came home to find out that I indeed had a temperature of 101 and just could not go to work.  I spent the rest of the day laying on our couch.  I have to tell ya,  the days do not goes that fast when I am at work.  However all of the sudden the kids were home from school then it was bedtime once again.  I still feel rough, but I really need to get my tush to work.
Ok, I will quit complaining and tell you about this sweetheart.  Sunday after all the Easter Bunny fun I sat down to make a card with my new digi (that I won) Freaky Flutter.  I wanted to enter her in this weeks FF challenge for digital get down.  Well, I got to thinking that  this month has just flown by so fast.  That meant that I needed to make a new page for my Greeting Farm Calender.  What can I say.  Flutter just fit the bill.  I also put the word 'Celebrate' on the bottom of May as two of my Sisters-in-law from Jerry's side and my Sister-in-law (my Brother's wife) and three of the girls at work (myself included) all have May Birthdays.  I just think that is amazing. lol...  Got to love those May Babies.  So, I figured that I could enter her as my digi for the challenge and get my calender done at the same time. I have to admit that I really love how this turned out.
Ok guys,  I got to run.  Have a great day.  Hugs, Lisa G

HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY....

Good morning everyone.
I just wanted to stop in this morning and wish everyone a very Happy Easter.  I hope that you all have a wonderful day with Family and Friends.  It is suppose to be sunny here today, so we are hoping to get a little outdoor time in.  :O)
Yesterday when 'I wasn't having a coughing fit'  I tried to clean up my desk.  OMG,  it was so bad that I swear I was working in about a 12x12" space.  lol...  Well, I am proud to say that it is now very much clean and just waiting for my to make a mess of it all over again.   I only mention my very bad desk as I am assuming that watching me clean it must have really worn poor Lucy out.  I was only half way through the whole thing when Lucy jumped up and walked around my desk then as you can see in her pictures she just kind of collapsed.  lol... We are all still laughing about how funny she looks.  You can also see that she is just like our kids.  When they were smaller I always had my camera in their faces and lots of times I would get the same look from them.
Ok,  I won't take up anymore of your time.  Again, have a Happy Easter and I will talk at you tomorrow.   Hugs, Lisa G

Happy Easter...

Good morning all.  Today I want to share my last Easter card for this year. lol....  This card started out as the card I wanted to make for the FFF - 'That's Distressing' challenge from the Greeting Farm Fresh challenge blog.   I wanted to use my Heidi Swapp edge distresser so I pulled out this kraft card stock and I also used my Chestnut Roan fluid ink to help make this little lady look like a somewhat Country Easter meets Chic. lol..  To go with that theme I thought that Syren 's pretty head and wonderful hair would look just adorable with Sasha's outfit with her books.   I don't know, I guess I was in a funky mood this weekend as my cards kind of did just what they wanted to do.  I also tried out a new flower technique that my friend Cindy used on one of her cards last week that she shared on her fab blog. You have to check out Cindy's blog.  She is so talented and you will love her ideas.  She got the idea for making these flowers  here.  This flower  was super easy , fast and very fun to make.  The best part is you can put it in an envelope and stack books on it and that flower just isn't going to get mushed.  lol...
Ok,  I am going to hit the road.  Last day of work for the week.  Yay!  I have two whole days off and I am hoping to get my Spellbinders storage book made.   I hope that I can share it with you all come Monday or Tuesday.  :O)   Have a great weekend and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

THINKING OF YOU...

Good morning everyone.  I made this card this last weekend just playing around.  Now that I look at the fussy cut paper that I used I think that  'Geisha Anya'  would have looked fantastic on this one.  Oh well,  I guess I'll have to work that one up next.  lol...   I did however do a little altering to 'I Do Anya'  on this.  I left off inking up her headpiece along with the flowers.  In it's place I then added a little bun to the top of her hair  to look like she was going to a formal party.  I really have no idea what I was going for,  I just wanted to use up this paper that has such wonderful color in it.  Ok,  I am heading out for my half day.  I am hoping to get a little catnap in this afternoon.  Have a great day.  Hugs, Lisa G

HAPPY EASTER...

I am going to be super quick this morning.  I woke up yesterday and I had a super soar throat along with the fact that I sounded like a horse.  lol... Anyway,  I worked all day and was lucky enough to see my Dr in the afternoon.  He says I have the start of bronchitis and gave me some antibiotics along with some cough syrup.  I am still not feeling great, but I need to get to work so I will leave it at that.   I made this card with the adorable Easter Anya that TGF was giving away this past weekend.  I wanted to color her up before this coming weekend.  She is just sooo cute.  :O)   I do have to mention before I go that I was so HAPPY to watch a new episode of Glee last night.  It really did have a great ending I thought.  I won't say anymore as I am sure some people haven't seen it just yet.  Ok guys, have a great day.  Hugs, Lisa G

COLORING 'MY TIME ANYA' FOR WORK...

Good morning everyone.
Did we just have a weekend?  Boy it sure does not feel like it.  We had good weather with lots of sunshine,  but I just don't feel like I had a weekend even though I did only work till 1pm on Saturday.  Oh well,  I'll  get over it. lo  So lets move  onto my tags for this morning.
I did make a card with one of the sweet new Easter stamps that TGF gave away this weekend,  but I have some tags that I need to show before I take them to work. lol...  As you all know I made that sign for Easter goodies for work and I have to say we have already sold six of them.   Not bad.  I love that everyone asks about the sign and where they can get that adorable stamp (Anya) from.
So anyway we started to think of what we wanted to do for a promotion at the store for Mother's Day.  Something that would not cost a lot, but that a boy or girl could buy for Mom.  We are working on how we want to package them and with what else we want in it.  The thing we decided on for sure was that we wanted little tags on the gift so that it could be filled out to Mom, Grandma, Godmother, Girlfriend or whomever you would like.  Well I thought that if it's for Mom's who better than  'My Time Anya'  to convey a spa like setting.  We'll see how everyone likes them.  We have socks that we sell in blue, pink and purple and they have aloe in them.  OMWord,  they are so soft and comfy.  That is why I went with the different colors on the tags.  I just felt that it would really look cute with the ribbon and the tag matching the socks and whatnot in the package.  lol
Well I am rambling on this morning and I really have to get a move on so that the kids can get ready as well.   I hope that you all have a wonderful day.  Talk at you tomorrow.

SUNDAYS WITH LUCY - HAMMOCK TIME...

Hi guy.
I hope that you are all having a great weekend.  Did you have sunshine yesterday?  It was suppose to rain here yesterday, but oh my goodness it was so nice and sunny and that sun felt soooo good and warm.  I love the spring time!  The wind of course picked up later in the evening,  but that's ok.   I worked my half day and Jerry cleaned the house and did laundry.  :O)   Yes, he is a great house husband.  Ok,  I am going to get right to it today.  Because Jerry was dong laundry (mostly sheets for the bedrooms) Lucy wanted to play in her  hammock.  You heard right!  Lucy loves to be swung in a sheet as if it were her own hammock.  This is something that she started when she was just a sweet little kitten.  If you are folding sheets she will meow until you stop and get her pink one to play hammock with her.   I wish I had a house big enough to make her a hammock on a frame so that she could sleep or play whenever she wanted to.  You are not going to believe how comfortable she is to be dumped backwards on it and then just lay there.  lol... We would have played with her longer,  but she is getting heavy and it makes your hands hurt after a while.
I am going to try to show you a video of her doing just that.  Madison was kind enough to be our videographer.  I am sorry for the clicking noise.  I think that is what happens when she zooms in or out.  Also towards the end I make Madison laugh,  and that puts her into a coughing spell.  Be warned that it is very loud at that point.  I do have to apologize for raising my voice at the end as Madison kept filming even when she shooting Jerry's rump.  Yes, you get to see  my dork hubby in his house cleaning clothes with his pants tucked into his socks.  Don't ask.  Eighteen years you'd think I could train him better, but some fights are just not worth it.  lol...  Ok guys,  cross your fingers...   I hope this works.  Have a  wonderful Sunday.
Hugs,  Lisa G

YOU'RE FIN-TASTIC!

Good morning everyone.  TGIF!  It doesn't seem to matter if you work on Saturday or not it is just a great thing to think Yay, it is finally Friday.   As you can see I am still kind of playing with this new format on my blog, but I keep with it in hopes to get it my way. lol...  You all know how much I love Rachel's card that she made with Syren from the Greeting Farm.  I really really wanted to color mine up, but I must admit that I was a little intimidated after getting Rachel's.  I mean hers is just so pretty and I love how she put purple highlights in her brown hair.  On the other hand I sure didn't want to copy Rachel.  So, after a little debate I decided to just let Syren help me figure out what she was feeling.  I have to say that once I stopped fretting about it that I am very pleased with how she came out.  I had just gotten a couple of sheets of Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue to put together my binder for my storage of my Spellbinder dies, so I knew right away that I wanted to use the frame on the one page to look like she is sitting in a clam.  I also have had some Grand Adhesions from K&Company called Sea Glass for over a year now and I have just been waiting for the perfect project to use it one.  Well,  I found that project and I love how they really worked with what I was going for.   I hope that you enjoy her as much as I do.  She is so much fun to color.  She hair is just the best and even though I paper pieced her tail fins on this card I colored a second one that I will be using in the near future.
Ok, I am out of here.  Have a great day all.  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs,  Lisa G

HEY DUDE...

Hi guys.
I sure hope that your day is off to a great start.  I am going to complain for a minute however.  I am getting so tired of every time I log onto my computer or into my blog something new is wrong or I get an error message.  Have you ever had a week like that?  Gggrrrr!!!!!  It is very very frustrating.  I must say!
Ok, back to a being a nice person.  I feel better just getting that off my chest.  Thanks.  :O)  lol...
I came home last night and headed over to the new Farm Fresh Challenge blog from TGF and read about the WOW sketch for this week.  Well,  I just had to grab my new Surfer Anya and color her up for this one.  I knew right away the paper (that I had been hording) ahem I mean that I wanted to use for this one.  So Anya and I went about picking out her suit and waxing her board.  You just can not hit the beach without a waxed surfboard ready to go. lol...  I just love her and I wanted to try my hand at coloring her hair as if the sea air had added natural waves to it.   I hope you can see what I am getting at.  So,  Anya is getting ready to hit the waves and I am getting ready to hit the road for work.  It is my half day today, but I have a couple appointments that I have to go to then I get to pick up the kiddies. (Best part of my whole week!)
I hope you all have a great day.  We look like we are going to get some more rain today.  I really don't mind however as it is in the high 50s and you can't go wrong with that.

FRIEND...

Good morning everyone.  Wow,  we are halfway through this week already.  Yay!  It has been a pretty weird week,  so I am happy that it is moving right along. lol...  Ok,  I am for sure making this a quick post as I have to let Madison use the computer this morning as she needs to finish typing her report.  Gggrrr... I guess I will be a good Mom and share. lol..Speaking of quick,  this card was actually made in less than  30 minutes last night as I really just wanted to color and relax some.  I pulled out my all time favorite paper pad this year (Stella and Rose, from MME).  I just can't help it, I really love this paper and I am almost out of it.  :O(   Oh well,  I will just have to find a new favorite.  I also wanted to use use Twirl Anya and because she is Springy with her little wind catcher I felt that the flower paper would be just perfect with her.  When I was little my Mom made me keep my hair short because I have the most sensitive head and she would have to use almost a full bottle of No More Tears every time she would wash my hair.  Anyway,  getting back to Anya I colored her hair a deep brown as it really reminds me of being a lot younger.  lol....
Ok guys,  this is my very simple card  for today.  Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU...

Good morning everyone.  I have to start out by letting you all know that this is not one of my cards.  This was given to me by my blogging friend Rachel.  I just love how she has colored this Greeting Farm stamp!    I had left her a comment that I loved this card so much.  I also told her that I had taken a picture of it to keep on my cellphone as the screen saver.  lol..  She is so sweet. She sent me her card so that I could have her always.  Let me tell you,  she is sitting on my Copic storage unit so that I can see her everyday and smile.  Thank you so much Rachel, I just love this card and I think it was so sweet of you to think of me.   If you are in the mood to see some awesome coloring and design please by sure to check out Rachel's blog here.   As you can tell she has a lot of talent and can really make her Copics rock.

Yeah!  My new stamps came today!  I am hoping to get some coloring in this week.  Huge smile.  No, I could not wait to get Syren for my free stamp.   Sorry, I just couldn't.
Can you say spoiled ? Well, I guess that yesterday was my day to be spoiled.  lol...  You are now looking at just some of the goodies that my Dad brought down to our house yesterday.  They came from my Mom's sewing stash and I can't thank them enough.
Aren't they just beautiful?   I love, love these flower trims.   Thanks Mom and Dad.    Then I have to tell you that they were very sweet and took my card over to the Post Office to mail it in to the card for a stamp program through TGF! I am so excited and I just can't wait to get my new stamp. I am honored that they picked one of my cards to take to CHA or any other show. I am still shocked. lol...
Ok guys, I have to get a move on.  I burned my thumb last night and this is not too easy to type with it
throbbing and with the bandage Jerry put on it.  I am ok,  just used an old potholder that had a hole in it.   I think I have it in for my hands lately.  heehee,  I don't know why.  Talk at you tomorrow.                Hugs, Lisa G

WE SOUND AWESOME TOGETHER...

Good morning everyone.
As you can see I am still fighting my way through the whole Yahoo change and blog format change.  Gggrrr!  I am by no means saying that I am ok with it all,  but I am getting more acquainted with everything.  Perseverance.  lol....

If I can make it through this morning I am sure it will be a great day.  As most of you know a week off of school always makes it very very hard for Mitchell to get back into the swing of things.  Poor kid spent most of yesterday worrying about today.   That means that he tells  me that he "loves me"  about every 5 to 10 minutes.  I always feel bad when this happens because after 13 years you just know that something is bothering him and then it takes quite a while to get it out of him exactly what it is.  We haven't gotten him up yet,  so we'll see.  I shudder to see what is to come as soon as we do wake him up.   He kept himself up for most of last night over the whole thing.  My poor Mitchell.  If he doesn't have an ulcer by the time he is 15 I don't know who would.
Ok, let me get to my card for today before the whole family is up.  lol....  I still have not mojo so this card is not what I was going for at all.  I think I am still waiting for my TGF order to get here, and I am hoping that is why my mojo took a hike.  lol....  We'll see as I am sure that my order will come today or tomorrow as I go back to work today.  You know how that goes right?  Anyway I had this play of making a stage and putting Tyler and  Monday of to play guitar and sing together.  It was a great idea in head but as the day went by yesterday this ended up being the only card I was able to make and I am really not that happy with it.
Well guys,  I wish you all a great start to your week.  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs,  Lisa G
