Copic Marker Europes's 1st Birthday...

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you all had a great weekend.  I worked on Saturday and I was home sick (in bed) both Thursday & Friday, so I am trying to play catch up with everyone and with a few of the cards that I still need to get done.  lol..
So now that I actually feel more like a human I wanted to share with you a blog that I discovered this last week.  It is called Copic Marker Europe, and they are celebrating their  1st Birthday this
month.  As part of  their celebration they are giving a free digi for anyone that wants to celebrate with them... I have to tell you that one of the digis is from The Saturated Canary and the other is from Wee Stamps.  All you need to do to play and celebrate is make a card with these beautiful and fun digi stamps.
Well, I did what they asked and I emailed them to get a couple of their stamps.  They were nice enough to send them both to me, and even though I am not eligible to get in on the prices as I live in the United States they still invited me to play along too.  I find that really cool and I have no problem  whats so ever not being able to win a price as I have already been given two adorable stamps.  By two great artists and I couldn't think of a better price than that. lol...
So whether you live in the US or in Europe you still have until June 27th to email them to get a great digi and help celebrate this awesome blog.
I hope you all have a great Monday and I will talk at you tomorrow to show you my Saturated Canary card.  lol

side angle to show the frosting and how yummy I think it looks.
Jerry kept asking me if it was wet or could he touch it.  lol

Celebrate!

Hi guys,
Wow am I tired.  So I am going to make this a super quick one for you.  Because I am still in the process of making  ordered cards for a couple of my friends and coworkers I needed to make one of them a 4th of July card.  I got to thinking about what stamp and what papers I wanted to use when I remembered my all time favorite paper pad from last year by BoBunny.  I absolutely LOVE this paper with the flag on it and the muted red, white and blue colors.  To me it makes the flag look very vintage and it also reminds me of the fact that even if the flag gets worn or tattered a little it still stands for everything that we believe it and for all the men and women that fight everyday for each and everyone of us.   I just love it and really wanted to share it on this card.
I also think that little WS-Summer looks like a cute little girl in the middle of summer getting ready for the fireworks that her and her family have gone to the park to see. :O)  I just can't help but smile when I see her.
Ok guys, that's it for me today.  I have to go to bed as I need to get up and help Jerry re-attach my review mirror on my car as it fell off this morning on the way to work.  We won't get me started on how much I love it when little random things like that happen with cars .  lmbo....
Have wonderful day.  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

I was going for a firework look with the pearls, but it didn't really come out the way I envisioned it. lol... I also
used the cream pearls and used my  R37 Copic to make them red.

Spread your Wings & Fly...

Good morning everyone.
I have to start off with just a little bit of complaining.  heehe.   I tried for over two hours Sunday night and this morning to get my pictures loaded onto my computer.  You can just imagine how happy I was when even after all that time I still could not get them loaded.  lol....
As you can see it is Monday evening and finally after getting home from work and going to the grocery store to get enough food to keep the M&Ms from starving (lol) I was able to get my computer and my printer to play nice together and  load my pictures. YES,  Success!
Do to my little ranting there, let me get started and make this a quick one for you all.  :O)   My sweet co-worker who keeps me in the money so that I can afford to play with my papers and Copics, needed a dance card for her Granddaughter.  She is very much into dance and so Grandma wanted some kind of dance/great job kind of card.   I couldn't really find the perfect stamp that I wanted to go with as this little gal is only 10 and I didn't think the couple of dancers I do have would have been very appropriate.  lol... So, I grabbed CC Sasha and CC Jill.  Jill was a sweetheart and loaned Sasha this adorable dress to dance in.  I just love swapping heads and clothes on these Greeting Farm Stamps.  It really makes my stamps go a long way and lets face it, it's just so much fun to see what you can come up with.
All in all I think this card turned out really cute and my friend was happy with it as well.  :O)   She leaves for Tennessee this coming Wednesday to see Tim McGraw in concert, so I needed to get my cards done real quick.  Not that you needed to know that, but I thought I would just share that her hubby has no problem with her flying to Tennessee to see Tim.  lol... Oh how a girl can dream!
Have a great day everyone.  I will talk at you tomorrow.  In the mean time please forgive my absents from everyones' blogs lately.  It would seem that life has decided to get in the way a lot lately.    So, I will stop my complaining and wish you all a Happy Tuesday!
Hugs, Lisa G

Happy Father's Day!

Good morning everyone.
I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day, Dad!  Love you....

As you all know I could not wait to share the pictures of both my Dad's card or Jerry's, so I don't have a card to share today.
When I got up this morning I decided to put some of my pictures on disc. so that I could clear up some computer memory and ran across all the M&Ms' first day of school pictures.  lol... I just had to share them with you.  With the exception of one photo out of the hundreds that I have of my babies Madison is always standing on the right hand side of Mitchell.  I find that very interesting.  I also want to note, that in the last picture that I took right before graduation two weeks ago it looks like Maddie has finally caught up with Mitchell when it comes to height, but  "no" it is 4 inch heels that she is quite adapt at wearing,  even to school..  lol... Her Godmother wears heels all the time and Madison decided that was a perfect solution to her problem and she has been wearing them ever since this last fall.  She is very proud to say that she can even run in them much like her Godmother.  :O)
Can you tell that Madison doesn't really like being short?
September 2009  So young, and so serious!

Sept. 2010 Goofing around as I was complaining about them not smiling at first.
Aug. 2011  Ahh a nice summer spent in the pool.  Look at that glow to them both. Yes, they do wear their
sunscreen, but they are very much like their Mom and Dad.  lol
June 2012  This is the first year that Mitchell decided jeans and slacks were more his style.
He wasn't so sure about tucking in his shirt, but it was for Graduation, so I made him.

Thanks for EVERYTHING...

Hello all.
I finally decided to share this card that I made for Jerry as his Father's Day card from me.  When I sat down to make it I got to thinking that most likely men don't really want to see another man on the front of their cards... At least I am pretty sure that  Jerry is more likely to enjoy a very Cheeky looking girl instead.  lol... So once my thought pattern started in that direction I came across my 'Sitting Casual' set from The Greeting Farm.  I saw the stamp from the man cave and that started me thinking Jerry would love a very Cheeky girl sitting on his favorite chair even better.  lol... Well, Jerry doesn't have a man cave, and the only 'Cheeky' girl he had better have on his favorite chair better be me.  'That's a whole other conversation,  I will leave it by saying for those of you that know the TV show 'Friends' ...  as well as we do, much like Joey  "Lisa Doesn't Share"  lol... Sorry inside family joke.
So while I had all these thoughts brewing I also took a look at my Weekend Market paper pad from BoBunny and right away I knew I wanted it to look like an old library complete with a huge world map on the wall.  If you know us well you know that Jerry is my go to man for telling me where everything is located in the world.  That includes where all my followers and the blogs I follow are.   :O)  It also goes without saying that Jerry and I have always dreamed of having a huge library in our home that looks a lot like the one in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast.'  lol...As you can see this is a card made specific for my Polar Bear of a husband.  He might look scary sometimes, but he protects me and his two cubs like the biggest Polar Bear there ever was.  He also has a big heart to go with that gruff.  Love you honey!
Now that you have seen just a little more into our wacky home I will wish you all a very Happy day and talk at you tomorrow.  Thanks for letting me ramble on.  It really helps me unwind from a busy work day.  :O)
Hugs, Lisa G

You're an AMAZING DAD!

Hi all.
I know it's not quite that time yet, but I was busy working on cards this weekend so I thought I should get a couple of my Father's Day cards done early this year.  lol... Only one week early, but for me that's early.  heehee...
I also decided that it would be a perfect fit for this week's Farm Fresh challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog.  The challenge is to make a masculine card.  :O)  I decided to kill two birds with one stone.
I just happen to have a wonderful Dad!  Not too long ago he finally retired from the Air Force as a Master Sargent, so I pick up Soldier Ian and put him into his camouflage uniform as it really reminds me of  my Dad.  (It was super fun to make my own colors, I didn't have to blend a thing.)
My Dad did wear dress blues from time to time, but most of the time when he was working on the weekend out at the sight he wore his fatigues.  When I was about 14 my Dad asked me to go goose hungting with him.  I did, and I am not embassed as all to say that the first time we went together I really did not know what I was looking for.  lol.. I had never seen a Canadian Goose in my life up until that point.  From there of out, we always went hunting together and I even got my own set of fatigues to wear and stay warm in.  I love my Dad very much and the title stamp 'You're an Amazing DAD' is the perfect fit for him.  I could go on and on about all the things that I have done with my Dad, and what it all means to me, but I am sure you have other blogs to check out today, so I will wish you a wonder Wednesday and talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

You're Sew Nice...

Hello there my fellow bloggers.
Did you all have a great start to your week?  Is it nice and sunny where you are at?  I hope that you aren't stuck with all the rain that seems to be flooding Florida.
As most of you know, today was the M&M's official last day school for this year, and because of that at 11:31am their Summer began.  lol... Well as luck would have it that also meant that today was of course a very Sunny and really a nice and toasty day.  :O)   I am happy for them, as Jerry said that even though Madison came home with tears (she is going to miss her friends over the summer) but other than that they both had a great last day at school and a fun afternoon.  Once I got home we were finally able to take them M&Ms out to spend their Graduation money.  After all it was rotting a hole clean through their wallets.  lol... All in all I am so tired, but it was a lot of fun to be out with them and I just love visiting with my kids and seeing how their individual personalities come out.  (Sorry, Mom moment there!)
So,  getting to today's card I still have a few 'Thank Cards' to make this week, so while I was in my 'Glee' haze yesterday I pulled out Cheeky Howdy and had a great time picking out some fun summery type papers to go with her.  I really wanted to use one of the newer stamp sets that I picked up from Hero Arts so I used it to give the card a more down to earth feel.  lol... I still can not find my pedal for my Jenomi machine so I am stuck with ink stitches at this time.  I know it's here somewhere, but I just haven't wanted to tackle my scrapbook closet yet. Don't ask!
I'm gonna leave it at that as I really do need to head to bed.  I have the early shift in the morning and no kids to get up and going so I better head off to bed.  Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Thanks a Bunch...

Hi guys,
Did you all have a great weekend?  Mine was spent watching movies with Jerry and the M&Ms and a little bit of crafting Sunday afternoon.  :O)  I don't want to say it too loudly, but I think I might have found my mojo again.... Soft 'yay'!  I actually was able to make four cards yesterday, and I really really loved how all of them turned out.  That hasn't happened in over two weeks, and I was beginning to get a little worried.  lol.. I had tried just about everything I could think of, I cleaned out crafting draws, straighted out books and misc. buttons and ribbons.  I change how I store my Various refills so that I can fit more into the drawer, but until I listened to 'Mr. I Know You Better than You Know Yourself ' I really wasn't able to get much crafting in.  Luckily for me, I do have to admit that when it comes to Jerry he really does know what is usually going on inside  my head and most times how to fix it.  lol.... The Brat!  That's not to say if I tell him I need him to do something specific that he will ever get the right.  lmbo!
Let me just say that once I put my headphones on and attached them to my ipod shuffle (that is full of Glee music, of course) I was able to calm down and just enjoy coloring and creating.  Jerry is always telling me to do that, but because my craft desk is in the corner of our living room I really hate being tuned out and rude to him and the kids.  However it just works and then so can I.  Ahhhh, I feel so much better!
     Moving right along......

This is my first card from
weekend.  I really love how Sasha
turned out.  I paper pieced her dress
with some of the papers from this
collection and I just love how it looks
like a nice summer day with the kites
flying in the background.  I wanted you to be able to see her against all the dp, so I mounted her and the porch both on the cream cs that I was using for the card base.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
I just love reading all of your comments, and I hope that you have a
great week. As of today at 12:30pm
the M&Ms are off for Summer, so they
are very excited.  :O)  Pray Jerry has a
good day as well.  lmbo!!!
Talk at your tomorrow as I have more cards to share.
Hugs, Lisa G

New Shelf for bling and things...

Hi guys,
I hope that you are all having a great weekend.  We are getting ready to hit Walmart this early morning in order to stock up on groceries before Monday night when everyone in town is out shopping.  lol.. We go early so that we don't have to deal with too many people.  Sometimes it works, and other times not at all.  ;o}  Jerry just doesn't like to be there when all the checkers are tired and their are 5 or more people pushing around in the aisles.
I though however that I would share a little of what I have been doing around my crafting corner while my crafting mojo has been  on vacation.  This totally happened by accident last week when I was in Staples picking up some printer ink.  I always love to do a little retail therapy while I am there.  Most times I don't purchase too much, but this time I noticed that they had this adorable white shelf system for $10 (it does come in black as well, but I wanted it to match my Copic storage) and I got the wild idea that it would really help me to put away a few of my embellishments that I am always using but can never really find them when I need them.   The odd thing was that earlier in the day I had been at our Dollar Tree and found these really cute cardboard houses and I picked one up to see if I might be able to use it for something.  You all know how that goes.  Half the time Maddie gets it for her stuff, but when I picked up the shelf I instantly knew what I wanted to do.

Mr. Moore Adhesive. He always has my backup
for me when I run out.
The Pearl Family. Very sweet and always oragnized.

The Twines.  Young couple but very nice in their
starter home.
Mr. & Mrs. Gem.  You should see their house at
Christmas time.  lol

The Brads-Buttons. They are like the Brady bunch and
have a whole bunch of kids with different last names, but they
are all very well behaved and pick up after themselves.

The very next day I ran back to the Dollar Tree to see if they had and left and realized that they came in a few different designs and sizes.  Well, what fun.  I picked up five of them and decided that I could use my label maker to put on each house so I could glance up and know what was inside.  Well, I thought most people put there names on their doormat or on a sign on the front of their houses so I went with that them.  So, in my little neighborhood of embellies we have the The Brads-Buttons family and Mr & Mrs Gem (they are very kind).  Just up the stree Mr Moore Adhesive lives by himself and some of his relatives drop in once in a while.  As he has a rather good size side yard his is very kind and lets all of the Cuttlebugs store their embossing folders there.  The newest couple to the neighborhood is The Twine family and they are just starting out, so they have a small little house just on the next corner while the Pearl Family have a very nice brick home that has been pasted down through the family.
As you can see it's not a big neighborhood, but it really has helped to keep everything right in my reach.  As most of you already know I don't have a craft room more like the left corner of our family room.  I miss the idea of a room all my own, but I really do love working while my kids are out here doing their things at the same time.  lol...
Well guys, I will leave it at that.  I was going to do a video on this, but I just couldn't  get YouTube to work for me and I was getting tired of waiting, so we are going to go with a blog post.  Thanks to everyone who takes the time to drop by.  It really means a lot to me and I am hoping to get a few more cards up and running this week to share with you all.
Have a wonderful Sunday, and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Happy Anniversary....

I know, two posts in one day.... I must be sick.  No, it's just that today is a very important day for our family.
Today is my Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary!  I am not going to share their card yet as I would like them to get to see it first, so if you are looking for a new card to see you can check out the one below this post.
In the mean time I just wanted to wish my Mom and Dad a very
Happy Anniversary!!!   I love you both and I hope that you have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Lisa, Jerry and the M&Ms....

thanks a HOOt

Good Morning everyone.

I hope that your weekend is off to a great start.  I am hoping that it will be a nice day today so that we can get some much needed outside time in today.  I for one am so ready to take a nice long walk.  All week we have either woken up to rain or no warmer than 44 degrees.  We have been going on little walks as the wind and the cold just are not my favorite combo for a walk.  I know, I'm just too picky.  lol...

So I thought that I would finally get around to showing a new card that I managed to make this week.  The M&Ms received a couple of cards for their graduation and they needed a few 'thank you' cards to send out. So, because my mojo seems to be on vacation I pulled out a couple of my old 'Cardmaker' magazines and found this very simple, but quite fun card to make.  I decided that my 'EP' Times & Seasons paper pad would be a great color scheme to go with and with the 'Hoo Loves You' stamp set from TGF it really didn't take too much to put this little card together.  It also give each M plenty of space to write their part of the note.
Ok guys, have a great weekend.  I finally took some pictures of my little crafting corner make over, so I will be sharing those with you all tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

We have Graduates....

Hi guys.
     TGIF!
Sorry I haven't been around most of the week.  I don't even have the excuse of saying that I was at work and very busy.  lol... I have been off since Tuesday, but we have been super busy with the M&Ms' graduating from 8th grade.  That and the fact that the little bit of time I did have to be creative was spent searching for any and all mojo that I might have had once upon a time.  lol...  I don't know were it went, but I am so hoping that it comes back very very soon.
Anyway getting back to the graduation.  It was so weird when all the kids started to walk into the auditorium to 'Pomp and circumstance'.  It just gives you such a weird feeling to know that it's your kids.  I know it's only 8th grade, but with all the way our M&Ms have come this last year Jerry and I could not be prouder if they were graduating from Yale or Harvard.  lol..  I'll need to be medicated when that day comes.
It was really cool as my Mom and Dad as well as my Sister and Brother-in-law were all able to come and be there with us.  Then at the end of the ceremony they started to play the song 'We are Young' and all the Graduates put on sunglasses and walked out singing.  They did this for their Principle as he as this is his last year at their school as well.   It was just very very fun. I wish that I had better pictures of that, but I was busy clapping and singing to the song as well.
The school then hosted an 8th grade social/dance for the kids.  When we went back to pick up the M&Ms it really reminded me of when I graduated and the feeling that you get from it.  They were all running around in their fancy dresses and heals while all the boys were still wearing their ties and dress slacks. Just so cute.  (sorry, Mom moment here. lol...)  You all know how much I gush about my M&Ms, well just imagine working with me.  lmbo... Yes, they HAVE to listen to me as they are trapped with me for over 9 hours a day. As Sheldon would say "bwa ha ha"
Thanks for listening to my weirdness.  I hope you all have a great weekend, and if you see my mojo could you please send it home.  I really miss it.  :O) Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa

Happy Birthday Chris !!!

Good morning everyone.
This is going to be a none picture post as I was SUPER busy this weekend and I have also been really obsessed with working on my SMASH/Copic info book.  I'll have pictures of that later this week.  lol...
I did however want to wish my Sister a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY , as today is her 49th Birthday!  Sorry Chris on this here blog we share our ages and that only means that you are getting better line wine.  lmbo.....We were born exactly 3 years and two week apart, so growing up we used to spend a lot of our time with each other and mutual friends.  (Sometimes to Chris' irritation!)...  As close sisters can be there were times when we didn't get along so very much.  I know, your totally shocked.  Did I mention that Chris is a redhead?  Well she is and we do not look anything a like.  As kids Chris was the redhead and I was the brunette and our baby brother (almost 39) was a blond.  Dad used to tell us that Chris was the mailman's and I was the milkman's.  You just have to trust our weird sense of humor.  lol... He also told me that I was part Indian and Chris wasn't.  That made me very Happy at the time and very upset when I found out it was a fib.
So, getting back on track as a redhead there were times when Chris would make me so mad that I would tell her they should call her an orange head.  That of course would really get to her which at the time I would be very satisfied with.  So when Chris was having her first son we would joke and say if that Baby came out as a boy with red hair we would put him back in and let him brown up a little more.  Well it was a boy (my first Nephew and my Baby) he was a redhead and you would have thought the whole thing was my idea.  Now I have my first Nephew that is a redhead and my last Nephew(my Brother's Son) who is a redhead as well.  Needless to say I have totally changed how I think of all those orange headed people (lmbo) and I have my Sister to thank for that.
I love you Chris and I hope that you have the best Birthday!  I am not sharing a picture of your card as peaking is not allowed around here.  lol... You just have to wait!
Ok guys, if you have hung in there for all of my reminiscing I hope you have the time to wish my big sis a Happy Birthday as well.   Have a great day and I will talk to you later.

Paw paw-razzi

Hi guys, I know it's late but we have had a very busy weekend and it just occurred to me that I haven't shared any of the weirdness that is the three cats that we live with.  So, I thought that before I set to work on a couple of cards I need to make I would show you some of Casper's funny little photos from just this past week.
He is such a funny little boy and he loves to sleep!  He will be running from one end of our house to the other when all of a sudden his is all done with it and he just kind of falls over where he is at.  I guess when you're tired you might as well stop what your doing and get your Zs in.  lol...
As you can see he loves to sleep upside down, around chair legs and just about anywhere he sees fit to..  We love our white little ghost and we are happy to share him with you all.
I sure hope you have all had a great weekend.
Talk at you tomorrow.

I promise you,  this is his choice to lay like this.  We did not make him, and everytime I would take his picture he would jut look at me like "Do you mind, I am sleeping here?"  lol...
Hugs, Lisa G
