Memorial Day...

Good morning everyone.
I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very safe and happy Memorial Day.
I am still busy working on Wedding Invitations every spare second that I have, so as you can tell I haven't been around much,  All of the invitations should be done by the end of this next week and then I am so going to put my headphones on and start coloring.  I tell you I miss making my cards and sharing them with you all.
I wanted to take the time to remember all the men and women that make this country what it is today.   Thank you !!!
I had better get a move on as Jerry and I are getting ready for an early morning walk.  I am so excited as I just loaded a few of  Pink's songs (Thank you hubby and M&Ms for the gift card for my B-Day !)   on my iPod and now I am ready to go... Yes, I love Pink and her songs...
Hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you later.   = o )

PICTURE HEAVY POST...

Go morning everyone.
Sorry I haven't been around at all this week, but the invitations are due the beginning of June, so it has been crunch time for me.  :O)
Luckly I do have a three day weekend, so you would think that I would have spent all day yesterday working on them.  Wrong!  lol... I took one look at my desk/corner and knew I just could not in all good conscious work on them a minute longer without doing some cleaning,
Well we all know that when you clean your craft room/desk or whatever you use that it isn't a small undertaking.   I wish now that I had been brave enough to take before pictures to share.  I didn't, so too bad,  lol...  Suffice it to say it was a wreck of colossal proportions and it really needed an upgrade.
I ran to Walmart and bought some contact paper and redid the entire top of my desk (after a ton of scrubbing to get the fact top off)  and moved a ton of things around.  I then had Jerry help me put a back to my white block section so that I could put it in the Bermuda triangle of corners so that I could use it and no longer have everything fall down behind and under my desk.  I also used a few things I had out in our garage to make (what I just love) my new Washi tape wrack with. Isn't cute?  Yes, those are new hairbands holding up the rods.  heehe  (Use what you got, right?)
I don't know about you guys, but as I use my desk/corner as both my craft table and my make up table in the mornings I forget that I don't have a whole room to spread out in, so I tend to buy things (that always get returned) or want things that would just be too much for my small corner of the craft world.  So instead I try to adapt something that will work for me and make me happy at the same time.
I just love how it all turned out and I think it was so worth the 7 hours it took me, :O)   and I really just wanted to share it with you all.
So, if you've hung in this long I really appreciate it and I hope that soon I will be back to visiting you all again.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Hugs, Lisa G

The M&Ms when they were 15 & 3 months old. lol... Love my little M&Ms!

Does anyone remember knockers from the 70's?  Those are mine hanging from my very nice lamp. Hey, it's my corner. lmbo

That is my ever present glass of water, I take that glass everywhere with me and as it has a lid it won't ruin a brand new
6x6 paper pad that I just bought. But hey that's a whole separate  post. ggrrrrr.......

Those are Madison's works of art and I LOVE having them on  my desk!!!

What do you think Mom? I improvised.

Hopefully I will be able to always find my camera now.

Isn't that the coolest glass. I wish it was a
diet Coke, but what's a girl to do.
Bought that at the Dollar Store
just for this use. lol

My M&Ms bought these for me last Christmas and I finally finished labeling them all LAST NIGHT! lol

THANKS EVERYONE for checking out my weird side.  You all mean the world to me.

Just taking a quick break...

Good morning all.
Can you believe that it is Monday once again?  Oh well what are you going to do right?
I hope that everyone had a wonderful day yesterday.  Jerry and I were able to get in a great walk, and boy oh boy did it feel really great when we ended up going further and making it in a better time than we usually do.  lol... We didn't set off to make a faster time or go further than usual, it just kind of ended up that way.
Anyway, I haven't made a card today as I am still in the middle of working on the Wedding Invitations.  They are going great, but it does take a bit more time than I had anticipated it would to put each one of them together.  However as I said, they are getting there.  In the meantime I was really wanting to color up something just for the fun of having one of my Copic markers in my hand.  I can not remember where or if it was on a YouTube video that I came across these awesome digital pictures from deviontART that allows you to print them out and color them up.  As you all know I do tend to love enlarging the image and coloring, so as I knew I wasn't going to try and use her on a card that is just what I did.  lol..
It's not the best coloring I have ever done, but I really really had a great time just listening to music and enjoying adding a little color to paper.
Ok guys as it's Monday that means the start of yet another busy week for me.  I am hoping to get a chance to color some more, but until then I will be hard at work on all those die cuts that I still need to make for the invitations.
By the way, that brings me to the question..."if you have a die cutting machine what kind do you use or if you were going to be getting one what kind do you want and why?"  I have the Cuttlebug and I even have the Grand Caliber by Spellbinders ( I think Jerry and the Kids bought it for me last summer on our trip to the Tri-Citites) , but they each have their limitations.  So I guess what I really want to know is if any of you have the BigShot and how do you like it?  Do you have a different one that I don't know about?  Thanks for the help as after all this cutting and embossing I am thinking that what I have isn't working out for my needs. :O)  Could be I 'NEED' to not have to cut anything out for a long time. lmbo.. WHO KNOWS????     Hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY...

Hi everyone.
I wanted to stop in real quick and wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day.  We are getting ready for our morning walk before the 80 to 90 degree weather sets in for the day, but I really wanted to say "Hi" and wish you all the best day ever.
We went over to my Mom and  Dad's yesterday and my Hubby and kids brought along a wonderful Chocolate cake with fudge frosting on it for both my Mom and I. Yes, now you know the real reason why I so need this morning walk. lmbo   :O)   Anyway on top of the cake was the cutest little flowers that were actually paper and I carefully took it off before we cut in and had a piece or two of that cake.
It didn't have any chocolate on  the paper back, so I didn't have to worry about it causing a problem with my card stock.  I just added a little bit of dimensionals and some ribbon around the card and I was pretty pleased with my spur of the moment card.  I let Madison talk me into using some of my 'Viva'  pearl pen and I think we got a little carried away, but as I said it's a show card and I won't be sending it to anyone.  :O)
So guys,  I hope you all have a Wonderful Day.  If your a Mom,  Happy Mother's Day, if you have a Mom, or it you are a Mom to Fur babies,  Happy Happy Mother's Day.  I hope you all enjoy your day,  you deserve it!
Hugs to you all. Thanks ever so much for hanging in there with me these last few months. You all mean the world to me.
