SUNDAYS WITH LUCY...

Lazy Cat Crafting!
Hi guys.
I am trying to make myself feel better this morning. I worked yesterday and I was fine until about 10:30 then all of a sudden I was getting super sick. I ended up coming home about 45 minutes early, but I spent the rest of the day and most of last night sick or in bed. I still feel icky, but I thought if I checked a few blogs I would feel better. Wouldn't you know Lucy had to come up and help me. I thought I would make Sunday posts here in Gobea world "Lazy cat crafting" and share how Lucy "helps" me make cards. No, she is not dead...She is just stretched out under my light. She just loves to get the heat on that black fur. Talk about a Lazy Cat.
Ok guys, I am heading back to bed. My computer therapy just isn't working today.
Have a great day everyone. Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

FEBRUARY IS THE MONTH OF LOVE...

Good morning all. I have to say that even though I have to work this weekend and next weekend that I am very glad it is Friday. Mini Yay.... :O) Of course because it is Friday morning and the kids have the day off from school I am running behind and have to make this a quick one.
I finally had five minutes last night to retake my pictures of my February page of my calender. Even though they all turned out ok I still think my heart page looks a lot better in person. For some reason the pretty pink metallic paper is showing up a lot darker than it is. All of the hearts where cut on my Cricut and so were the swirls. I had such a great time pulling out my Cricut and getting use out of it.
Thanks for all of your wonderful comments on my Wedding page yesterday. I really do love how it turned out. I think once this year is over with I will make a book of all the pages just so that I can keep them and look back at what I thought was cool in 2011. lol...Thanks for the great idea Amy. :O)
Well guys that's gonna do it for me this morning. I hope you all have a great Friday and an even better weekend.
Talk at you later, Lisa G

AN APRIL TO REMEMBER...

Good morning guys. No, it hasn't been that long since I posted. lol... I have to apologize for not sharing anything yesterday, but OMWord! I went to bed with a major headache and woke up with it yesterday morning. I tried to check out a few blogs, but I just didn't get that far before I had to quit. I knew it would only make it worse, and I had to work all day.
Anyway, I was working on my cards Saturday when I decided to do a few more months on my calender. I had planned on doing each month at a time and posting it the first day of that month. Then I thought why? I can do any month I feel inspired to do and post it whenever I want. lol... Oh the things we put on ourselves that no one has a care about. lmbo... Well, I did get my February and April months done. Yay! I do however need to take the February pictures over because somehow they got deleted from my camera so I am going to show you my April first. I will be getting back to March just as soon as I figure out how I want to play that one.
Sorry to drag on this morning. Ok, April is the month that Jerry and I were married so I just had to use the "I Do" set from The Greeting Farm. Our wedding colors were black and white (not goth!) so it was hard to show the definition of Jerry's tux. He wore a black tux and bow tie with a crisp white shirt. My bridesmaids wore black dresses with white pearl down the backs. I used the card stock that I used to make our Wedding album and the sticker (yes, I said stickers. lol) all from Me and My Big Ideas that my Mom bought three rolls of for me when our LSS went out of business back in 2001. I have to say that I love how it turned out very similar as our album.. Even Jerry likes how this turned out. I figure when the calender is used I will just take this page out and put it into our album just for the fun of it.
Well guys thanks for putting up my uber long post this morning. I am happy to say that it seems as though my headache is going away so I am happy. I will talk at you tomorrow and hopefully get February up and ready to go by then.
Have a great day. Hugs, Lisa G

something SPECIAL just for you!

Hi guys, I am going to make this really quick once again as for some reason I am running behind this morning. OMWord... I just hate not making better use of my time. After work last night I headed home and picked up Jerry and the M&M's to get some shopping done and buy Madison a new pair of tennis shoes for PE. Her knees have been killing her and it finally hit me that it had to be the pair of cowboy boots that she wears to school each and every day. What do you know? I was right! Once we found a pair of shoes that fit her correctly and she agreed to them(1 & 1\2 hours later) she kept saying how much better her legs felt. :O)
I am really sorry, but I do have to get a move on. My card today is made for the Tickled Pick Stamps Challenge #3. I can not believe that it is the 3rd challenge already and this is the first one that I have gotten time to take part in. Once I saw the sketch this time I just had to use Willow and blow her up a little to make it look like a portrait of her. She just looks like sunshine with her pretty flowers. Well, I am off for now. Sorry I don't have my list of supplies. I will try to add them when I get home from work tonight. Have a great day everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.

YOU HOLD THE KEY TO MY HEART...

Hi guys. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday was such a nice day here in Washington State. The sun was shining and it was warm enough for Jerry to fix the heater on my car. Yay Jerry! Nothing makes me happier than a car that runs and has a great heater/air conditioner. :O) So I say it again, "Yay Jerry!" lol....
Well, as you can see I am running a tad behind this morning so I will get to it. My card today is just a simple Valentine's Day card. I wanted to use Fancy Anya and I still had some of my BoBunny paper pad left so I thought I would put them together. I also decided to paper piece Anya's clothes and shoes just to do something a little different.
Speaking of trying different things, I also tried a new skin tone with my Copics. I am thinking that I like it. Let me know what you think. I was getting tired of using the same thing every time I colored. I really had fun with it. So here she is... I hope you all have a great day, and I will talk at you tomorrow.

Hi guys. This is a non crafting related post. I have today off and I am working on my calender today. I am a happy girl. lol..... I just wanted to wish everyone a great weekend and show you what my cat Lucy loves to do while I have my light box up to use. I was trying to take some pictures of my projects and she decided that she wanted to be a part of the fun.... Yes, that is my black cat sitting in my white homemade light box with the lamp on. Isn't she helpful? lol I have to share a wonderful blog with you all. Thanks to Debra you can see even more wonderfully crafty pets over on Meighen's blog. Check it out guys. I know you'll enjoy this.
Ok, have a great day. Talk to you Monday.

HAPPY 2011...

Hi guys.
Well it is finally Friday and I have to admit that I was a tad bit more excited yesterday than I am today. As I mentioned yesterday we are getting back our freezing weather and I have to say that as of yesterday morning at about 7:20am I don't like it at all. Jerry went out to start the car for me yesterday so that I could take the M&M's to school and go to work. Great guy! Anyway, when we got in the car the blower on the heater had decided to quit. Yes, you guessed it. I have no heater to defrost the front window or drive the kids to school in warmth. I have to wait until I get off work today for Jerry to try and fix it in the daylight. Keep your fingers crossed that he can come up with something. I get in a very BAD mood when I have to drive in a cold car. heehee I just can't help myself. So, I am not looking forward to the trip to work this morning. :O(
Ok, so today I don't have a card to share with you. Instead I have the front cover to my monthly calender that I am making. I wanted to make the whole calender with my Anya's and Ian's, and I still am but I just couldn't decide on one for the front so I went with a free digi by Ashley Bowen. I just love the birdie on top and I really enjoyed trying out AmyR's idea on how to color in the numbers. You can check out Amy's ideas here.
Well I better get going I have no idea how long it will take to get the car drivable this morning. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.

HUGS AND KISSES and a little ALTERATIONS...

Good morning everyone. I am so thankful it is Thursday. Yes, I have to work a half day on Friday. However that is ok. I have this weekend off and did I mention? Today is Thursday! lol... Sorry, I am just happy that we are getting to end of the week. I am hoping to get some crafting in this weekend and can not wait. :O)
Ok, I will settle down and get with it this morning. First off let me mention that it has decided after two days of 4o degrees or higher that winter is indeed still here and we are getting down in the 20's once again. Oh well, maybe the mud (I mean grass) in my front yard will not feel like quicksand for just a little while longer. Well, that's our days right at the moment and soon it will be 90 degrees and the M&M's and I will be swimming everyday. Hugh smile!
Ok, ok I said I would get to it and I finally am. My card today has the sweet angel from the Hugs and Kisses set from The Greeting Farm. I just loved her hair and really didn't want to make another angel card at the moment. We decided to put her halo and angel wings away for safe keeping and voila...Pretty little redhead. Anyway, I just had so much fun coloring her up and using Webster's pages to give it a vintage feel.
Have a great day everyone.

XOXOX...

Good morning everyone.
I am going to jump right into it today. This card is made specifically with my Mom in mind. She has always been a professional semstress for as long as I can remember and now she spends her time making home made doll clothes for all of her followers on Ebay. She can take dolls from her childhood and referbish them. Not only does she do this she also sews adorable clothes that these women love to buy. The reason I bring this up is when I first started stamping last year I ran across this set of stamps called Cutie Pies. They look very simalar to the Terri Lee dolls that she makes clothes. So. I just had to purchase the stamps. Well it's been over a year now and I have yet to make her anything with the stamps. They are red rubber cling stamps, (my favorite kind) but for some reason they don't have very clear lines when you stamp them. I don't like that, so it is very hard for me to use them.
I finally decided this weekend that I had to at least one card for Valentine's Day as it really is a cute set. So, with all of that being said this is my first Cutie Pie Valentine. I went with a real simple yet very Valentiny color scheme with this one.
Ok guys, I am out of here. Halfway through this week. Yes! Have a super day.

Love..

Hi guys. Did everyone have a great Monday? I hope that wherever you live your weather is being kind. It seemed that every time we turned on the weather channel last week that just about everyone in the United States was either getting mega snow or ice or both. Then in Australia there was the horrendous flooding. I hope that you are all safe and sound and that life is starting to get back to normal. We had a wonderfully sunny day here today and it actual got up to 55 by noon. The lawn looks so ugly, but there isn't any snow left on it at all. It sure gives you a false sense that Spring is on it's way. I know it's not over, but I guess we'll see soon enough. heehe...
Ok let me got onto my card for today. I felt like making up some simple but sweet Valentines this weekend, so today's card is staying with that theme. I wanted to make this one for a couple of my friends that I don't get to see very often anymore as they moved out of town. I think that they will enjoy this. They have always loved my cards I made for them both. Of course it wouldn't be a couples card with Anya and Ian on it, so I used the 50's sweethearts to complete this on. I am really happy with how it turned out. You will notice that I tried out a new color for my skin tone on Anya. I wanted her to be a little fairer skinned than Ian. If any of you have skin color tips let me know. I would so enjoy hearing what you use.
Well that's it for me today. Have a super day, and I will talk at you later.

CARDS, CATS AND COPICS...

Hi guys. Just a short post to say thank you to Amanda from Cards, Cats and Copics. That is the awesome name of her wonderful blog... (I wish I had thought of that name. I just love it.) Anyway Amanda was sweet enough to pick my blog as one of her three pics for the Love your blog award. Isn't that just sweet? You really should check her blog out. She comes up with some awesome cards. WOW!
So part of excepting this award is to come up with three other blogs that you think deserve it and then let them know so that they can pay it forward. I had to really think about how I was going to pick just three blogs. So I decided to go with some of the first blogs that really helped me to get here today.
I am going to have to go with Kris. She has always been so sweet in helping figure out blogging works and how to make things easier when working with the technical part of it all. So, Kris thanks and her is your I love your blog Award.. :O)
Up next would have to be one the sweetest most generous bloggers out there. She lives in Washington state, and OMWord this girl is uber talented. That would be none other than Amy. Thanks Amy for all that you do for me. You are such a wonderful friend and I hope that one day we can meet in person and shop. heehee :O)
Ok, last but by no means least I would have to go with Suzanne. She is so talented and she is just so full of energy. She spends a lot of her time teaching Copic classes on the road and as if that was not enough she decided to have online Copic classes too. Please check out her blog and see what I am talking about. Suzanne, thanks so much for being to kind to me and helping me out with all my silly questions. Hugs, :O)
So Amanda thanks you. You really did make my day.
Hugs, everyone and have a great week. I will be back later this moring with my Tuesday card. Hugs, Lisa

all you need is LOVE...

Hi guys. Well, it's Monday again and that starts off a busy week for me once again. I have to apologize for my absence the latter part of last week. I am fine and so is my family. Thanks to all that have checked in on me. I have just been super busy at work and I guess I have been a little depressed. It sounds stupid when I write it, but we have been trying to catch up on bills and all. So I haven't been spending any money on stamps (nor have I won any lately). heehe Hence the depression. So, on Friday I splurged and picked up the new Cinder from Sweet November Stamps. I bought it in digi form and I am hoping to buy it and more in rubber as I love the rubber so much more. But for now I am happy with my digi Cinder. :O) I just love this little one and when I saw the dragon's breath I thought that it looked so much like a heart. Perfect for a Valentine's card!
I picked green for Cinder and decided to use the colorless blender to add spots along with some diamond Stickles. I hope that you can see it on the pictures. I really love how it turned out.
Well that's all for me today. Off to work I go while Jerry and the M&Ms have the day off. I hope that you all have a great week. I have Friday off and I can not wait. We are having a heat wave and we actually got up to 45 degrees yesterday. Truly it feels so good. I will talk at you tomorrow. I spent yesterday making cards for the whole week, so I promise to post each day. Thanks for stopping by.

HI FRIEND...

Good morning everyone. I think I will make this a super quick one this morning as I am in that Wednesday stretch and today is going to be a super busy day. I haven't even looked out the window yet to see if we got our snow storm or not. Call it denial or whatever, I just don't want to know yet. heehee.... I do know just by the feel of it that it is cold!
Sooo, I felt that my card for today kind of felt like a Wednesday card. You know strap on your tool belt and get to work. :O) I guess I am kind of in a weird mood. I had a great time coloring Ian though. I have had him in digi since he came out and this is the first time I have gotten to color him. I also went with my silver rivets to play into the whole handyman/construction worker kind of mood. I decided that if you were working around the house on a project or working in construction you have to have your yellow legal pad with you for measurements and your list of supplies... Mind you my note paper is brown, but he left his pad out in the rig all night and the wind storm got dirt all over it. heehee
Ok, I'll head to work now and try not to drive everyone crazy with this weird mood I'm in. lol Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.

LOVE...

Hi guys.
I hope that you all had a wonderful start to your week. I have to admit that I am just a little tired this morning as I didn't actually walk back into our house until after 9pm last night. Once I got home from work we had to turn around and head back to get some things from the store and buy the kids some warm socks and shirts as we are headed into another cold front. I could not believe how busy Walmart was. My word! heehee...
So let me get to it. My card today I made with the other half of the Naught or Nice set from The Greeting Farm. I think she is just so devilishly cute! Don't you just love her? I also made this card for the Saturday Sketch challenge over on the Club Anya Blog. The challenge this week is to make a circular card and I really like how this one turned out. I was going for a fun and spunky look. Jerry doesn't know it, but this is going to be his Valentines card. heehee....
I am running behind this morning, so I am going to have to come back later with my supply list. Sorry guys!
Have a great day and stay warm.
Hugs, Lisa G
