You are so SPECIAL...

Good morning all.
Happy March 1st!  Can you believe that?  I feel like we just finished up with Christmas.  That's ok though, I am happy that the days are getting longer and the snow that we have gotten lately is just a dusting and not still be on the ground by morning.  However it has been pretty COLD the last few days and the WIND omword, you have to love living in the Columbia Basin. lol.... Sorry if you are one of those that is still digging out from all the horrible 'Winter' weather these last few days.
Ok,  I am going to get right to my card today as I have been waiting all week to share this one with you all.  My awesome friend Amy was nice enough to purchase some Tiddly Inks stamps for me as I don't have a paypal account and I really have been wanting some of these awesome stamps.  Thanks so so much Amy!  Anyway one of first stamps that I chose was 'Precious', and I just love her. She sure fits her name.
As I have mentioned quite a lot lately I am slowing down my coloring and enjoying the process once again and not worrying so much about getting something done within a set amount of time.  So with Precious I felt like coloring and everyone was headed to bed the other night and I just couldn't stop coloring her.  I first picked out what papers I thought would go with her and then I colored her to match.  (Not my usual way of coloring. lol) I took my time and I really played with her hair, and her skirts and as you can tell by my writing I am super super pleased with how both Precious and her card came together.
After dinner the other night I was getting ready to put my card together when I noticed that one of my furry friends (I won't mention names, Lucy) walked on top of her and got a little spot on her dress.  Well, I was so upset but determined to not have to make her over.  Instead I just added a little something and now if you didn't know it was there I don't think you can see our accident. lol...
Thanks everyone for all your sweet comments and welcome to my new followers.  I always love meeting new people and seeing what everyone is up to.
Well I had better head to bed.  Have my half day today and then errands to run with Jerry.  I hope you all have a great day.  Thanks for all the inspiration that you all give  just by what you show us on your blogs and YouTube videos.  It truly does make a difference and give me awesome ideas to try out. :O)
I used my Spellbinders Labels Seventeen and fussy cut her skirt to have it hand over the frame.

Because I am so happy with my first ever colored
TiddlyInks I am entering this card in their challenge
this week. You are to use fabric, so I am using my
bow/ribbon as my fabric part both inside and out.

Talk to later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Make the Journey Special...

Good morning all.
Can you believe it is already the middle of the week?  I for one am very happy about that.  All I have to do is get through today and then I have my half day Thursday followed by my long weekend off.  Yay!  I really am looking forward to it.  I have a few projects that need to be finished up and I am hoping to spend the hours I would be at work on Friday getting those projects done. Fingers crossed. lol..
So today I have a brand new stamp that I got from Krista Smith's Etsie store.  You really should check her stamps out if you haven't already.  I am sure that you can guess why I really love her stamps.  Yes, I love the eyes.  I don't know why, but I love practicing coloring eyes and trying to get them to shine and look as real as I can.
This little beauty is called Suzie Stockings and I had a blast working on her dress and her hair.  I am trying to go slower and lighter with my coloring so that if I need to I can put down more color without it all turning out just darker.  lol... I guess I am trying to say that I am working on getting more depth in my coloring.  I really really wanted her to have a red dress, but even though I have all the reds in the Copic Sketches I tend to not use them as one little mistake can ruin a whole card.  However, going with my new found patience and trying new things I watched my friend Amy's amazing video here. You can see how Amy gets so much out of her colors.  In this video Amy will show you how she  uses brown along with her reds and you can see that it truly amazing how it adds to the over all effect.  I am telling you you really have to give it a try.  It will make you want to pull out those reds and play a whole lot more.  Don't be surprised if you see more red over here for a while.  lol.. So, Thank You Amy.  I am truly happy with how Suzie's dress came out.
Ok guys, I am rambling and I am really tired so I am going to wish you all a happy hump day and I will talk at you tomorrow.  :O)   Happy Coloring.
Hugs, Lisa G
I didn't have any deep red pearls so I colored these cream ones with the red and the brown to
get a match of her dress and the flower.

Picture of her revised stockings & garter.  Jerry said the garter should be
black and the stockings darker. (Men!) We won't tell him that I
think he was right.  I like this better.  lol...

How I store my Copics and Memento Inks...

Hi guys.
Even though I am not feeling tip top this weekend I still wanted to get this post scheduled for Tuesday so that I could finally answer the question that a lot of you have been asking me lately.  lol..  "How do I store my Copics?"   I know that right next to coloring with my pens and watching YouTube videos on how others use their Copics  is seeing how everyone stores them.  Yes, I love to see how everyone stores their Copics, and  AmyY was nice enough to ask if I would share mine with her to put on the Color Me Copic blog.   You can see how Amy and a few other ladies store theirs as well.  (Thanks Amy,  as you can see I had a great time taking my pictures.  heehee...)
So let's get to it.   Unfortunately shelving units  that I use to hold my Sketches in are no longer being made,  The people from Quickutz came out with them to store the little dies inside pull out boxes that could be purchased separately.  I'm  sure you all remember them.  The units ran about $20 each and the metal boxes with name plaits ran about $10 for three and came in  pink, brownish tan or white.   It took me about two mouths to finally get two units.    I had ordered them from three different web stores (including Overstock.com) only to be told a week later that they were out of stock.  If  memory serves me right I ended up getting both of these off of Ebay.  They are somewhat heavy and I will admit that I overpaid on the shipping because I wanted them soooooo much.  :O)  You all know what I am talking about. lol..  Admit it.

I love that I can separate the different color families and still have more room left over for when I finally have my collection completed.  The drawers on the bottom come in handy for storing my airbrush system and any extra nibs and whatnot.  Overall I am quite satisfied with this set up.  When they were available they came in both white and black.  Black seemed to be easier to get, but I really wanted it to be white to go with my carousel from Michael's that my wonderful Sister-in-law & Brother brought to Moses Lake for me on one of their visits.
When I first started to collect Copic markers I used little wooden boxes in one of my scrapbooking tool totes.  It worked great, but then I ran out of room. I now use the wooden boxes to store the Various refills in.  They are stored in my three drawer rolling card that I purchased at Lowe's  a very long time ago.  It sits right next to my desk so that it is in easy reach.  lol...  Are you bored yet?
As you can see I don't have a lot of the refills yet, but I
grab a few more as both my Daughter and I end up
needing them.
I also have a few on the Memento inks that I use for my card making.  Thanks AmyR for all the great ideas on using these inks.  I love how it adds such depth to my projects.  I have about 18 different colors now and because I love to use them a lot I found these awesome little storage containers at Rite-Aid about two weeks ago in their dollar section.  I ended up picking up 8.  Right now I have three boxes on top of my Copic storage and I can use the rest of of them to separate all of my buttons by color as well.  That idea I got from watching AmyY make one of her cards on YouTube.  Here is a quick picture of the Dew Drops.  I read somewhere that they should be stored upside down, so that is what I do.  If you know something better let me know.  Each drawer holds on Dew Drop and a dauber to go with it.

You can check out my Copic storage in the post below this one as blogger would't let me add anymore picutures.  :O)
Hugs, Lisa G

Copic storage on the go...

Hi again.
Blogger would not let me put all of this into one post, so here I am once again to share more of my storage.  When I first ran across the big Copic Bag on Oozak.com I of course had to order it.  I don't usually go anywhere to color, but sometimes I do like to take my Copics to bed so that I can relax.
When I first got my bag I didn't really like the mesh bags that it came with, so I have been trying to come up with the perfect solution.  Well, last week I was walking around our Dollar Store when I ran across these cardboard pencil holders.  Needless to say for a $1 each I grabbed about ten of them and came home to make it work for me.  I did have to cut some of them in half and then take them back up, but I am so so pleased with how they came out.  The tote fits them all perfectly and my Copic OCD is happy as I can still keep them in their color families so that I can find the color that I want when I need it. :O)
Thanks for putting up with all my rambling.  I hope that yo all had a great Monday. I will talk at you next time.
Hugs, Lisa G

As you can see I still have plenty of room for more markers, and my color shart/book fits right on top when I pack up to go.

Nice and orderly!  :O)
Kind of sloppy for me.

Monday Fun Day - Anything Goes!

Hi Guys.
Can you believe that it is yet again Monday?  I am not sure anymore which goes faster the weeks or the weekends.  I have to say that this last couple have gone bye super fast.  :O)  Before we all know it we'll be in the house with the drapes drawn and the air conditioner set to high.  Jerry will no doubt will be sitting in his chair with his fuzzy blanket from QVC so that he won't freeze.  lol...  He hates my need to have that air on from the time I get out of my shower in the morning until I go to bed each night.  Mind you he doesn't say a word,  he just snuggles deeper into that blanket while he has his sweat pants on and white socks that go all the way to his knees.
Wow, did I get off track there or what?  So because it is once again Monday that means that we are starting yet a new Monday Fun Day over on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and this week we are really making this super easy for everyone.  The theme is ' Anything Goes!'...  That's right you can do anything you want just as long as you use a stamp or image  from The Greeting Farm.  I for one can not wait to see what everyone comes up with.  I know that I have learned so much just by checking out all your  blogs and how everyone uses their different coloring mediums.

Inside of the card... I had a lot of fun
with these instant pictures..  :O)
I can't believe that this is the first time Summer has
seen any ink since I was able to get her in March. lol...

With that being said, I wanted to use a new stamp that I ran across in a lot of different blog posts lately.  At first I told myself that I didn't need a stamp to make it look like a Polaroid picture but then I finally gave into the fact that it would be so much easier to use a stamp than to take the time to make one up whenever I wanted to use this idea. Yes, I am talking about the 'Say Cheese' stamp set from Lawn Fawn.   I just knew that it would work so well with any of my Greeting Farm stamps, so I broke down and bought it a couple of weeks ago.  Of course with this week being 'Anything Goes' I took the opportunity to pull out WS-Summer and a mystery stamp to make a cute card with a picture on the front.  I had such a blast making this card and making it with the awesome paper pad from MME.  Who doesn't love brown and blue together?  I know I do and I know that I had first purchased this paper to use for masculine cards, but I think it just looks so adorable with little Summer here.
We had a pretty sunny weekend here and so we were able to take a quick little photo shoot (it wasn't hot) of Summer sitting on my favorite wooden bench outside.  As you can see she had a great time posing for her photos.   Sorry to say that my close ups are a little blurry, but we were both getting cold, so we headed in.  lol
Ok guys,  the awards show is over and I have to head to bed to start my Monday off on a good nights sleep.  I hope you all have a great day and take the time to head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and see all of the other DT's wonderful takes on this week's challenge.
     Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Look who the Paw Paw-Razzi found this week....

Hi guys.
It's already Sunday and you all know what that means over here at the Gobea house.  Yes, it's Paw Paw-Razzi time once again and this week I am very pleased to introduce you to Rachel.
According to her Dad (Jason) he has had Rachel since she was 2 years old.  It would seem that at first Rachel was one of two cats that Jason's Sister had.  In 2004 she was given to Jason as his Sister didn't feel that she could 'handle' both of the cats any longer.  The other cat is a grey Bombay, but Jason has never seen that cat.  He was nice enough to take whichever of the two cats that she didn't want.   (I don't know how his Sister's cat is, but I personally think that Jason got the better of the two.)  When he first got Rachel he laughed as the first thing he noticed were how big her eyes were.  According to Jason at first she would just sit and study him.  However it didn't take long to see that Rachel was a very talkative cat.   When I first came across one of Rachel's YouTube videos I knew right away that I had to talk to her owner.   She is just so  beautiful and a talker just like my Lucy.
I am telling you the things that Jason has told me about Rachel are so similair to Lucy that it is weird.
It would seem that Rachel is a people cat and she loves to be in bed when Jason is in bed and if he shuts the door Rachel will not leave him alone.  She will bang on the door with her paws until he opens it to let her in.   (I know exactly what he is talking about)

Look at those eyes!  They call Bombays the black cats with the copper pennie eyes.

I am sure she is talking in this picture and not hissing....

Waiting for Jason to come home.  :O)

I bet you thought I slipped in a picture of Lucy...  No, that would be Rachel...

You can see videos of Rachel on YouTube here.   Once you see her talking and being so adorable I think you will just fall in love with her.   Jason was nice enough to send me some stills of Rachel to share with you this week and I am so glad that he did.   I know that a lot of people get spooked by black cats, but I am telling you they are the BEST!  I have never had a cat like my Lucy and I am almost certain that Jason feels the same way about his Rachel.
Jason works close to home and is able to pop in twice during the day to see her.  Rachel as you can tell by the photo is right on top of his schedule and is always waiting for him at the door.
So, I hope that you all get the chance to check out both Rachel and Jason here.  Thanks for stopping by and meeting Rachel as I am sure you will agree she is just so pretty.  If  you can be sure and let Jason know what you think of Rachel as well.  She is quite the cat.
Thank you so much Jason for letting me share her with my blogging friends and with me and my family.
If you would like to have you cat or dog be featured on Paw Paw-Razzi Sundays just shoot me an email.  I would love to see and hear what your furry friend look like and mean to you.
Have a great Sunday everyone.  Talk at you tomorrow for Monday Funday...

Friday Spy Day on FFF Challenge Blog...

Good morning everyone.
I am going to keep this short and simple as I still have to get through work today and my cold/(I have no clue what this is) is back and having a field day in my chest and throat.  To say the least I am feeling kind of warn out and I am so sorry I haven't been to anyone's blogs all week due to not having any energy to do anything but go to bed once I've gotten home from work each day.
Ok, I will quit whining and get to our awesome Friday Spy Day over on the Farm Fresh Challenge blog... Today we have spied Ya Ya's sweet card that is going to make you want to pop on your favorite swimsuit and head to the beach.  lol...  I do have to mention however not only did Ya Ya make a fantastic card she also was able to take a great picture of it as well..

YaYa's awesome card!

As you can see I don't do so well with easel cards when it comes to photographing them.lol...
I am going to confess once again that I had this stamp already colored and cut out of my Spellbinders a very long time ago.  I had put it all back in the baggy with the DP that I had wanted to use with it and then I forgot all about her.  Well, once again I was rescued.  So, don't toss those images taht you colored but just didn't find the right papers or whatever as you just never know when they will come in handy and actually work out just like you wanted them to.  lol...I sat down to make my card and Thanks to Ya Ya's design and my colored before hand image  I was able to make this card it less than 15 minutes.  :O)  Big SMILE... as I don't think it would have gotten made due to my feeling very cranky and overall run over by a train.  lol.... So YaYa thanks for the great card idea and Congratulations!  You deserve it as this card is just adorable.
So I am going to hit the sack and hope that tomorrow I will feel so much better.  lol.... I do have all my pictures on my storage load, I just have to get the time to post it all for you guys.  I am shooting for Saturday. So until then, have a great Friday.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Summer Heat Wave.....

I used the design paper to keep a simple
look to the inside and allow me to
write a message of my own.
Side view to show how much I popped
it all up for the added look of depth.

Monday Fun Day with the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog.
                                                  USE PRIMARY COLORS

Hi guys, can you believe it is already Monday once again?  I know for some it is a three day weekend, but for me I am heading back to work after having had half of Saturday off and all of Sunday off.   I am very happy to say that we were able to get our third walk in for the year so far.  It was windy here, but the sun was out and about three blocks into the walk it really started to feel quite good.   I didn't realize just how much I had come to enjoy our walks.
With the weather working on getting better (that's between rain/snow/hail storms and then it all as if it didn't happen within hours) I was in the mood to use today's challenge over on the FFF blog as a way to make a summer card. lol... My friend  Amy has been in a Spring mood lately and unfortunately she got some snow dumped on her part of our State both Friday and Saturday.  So, I thought that she needed to see some sunshine to pep her up again.  :O)   So,  with today's Monday Fun Day being all about using PRIMARY COLORS.... I thought what has the most primary colors in it but the great outdoors on a great summer day.  The first thing I did for this one was to pull out all of my 6x6 paper pads that I thought fell into that category and then I pulled out my stamp catalog to see just who wanted to come out and play in a nice sun shinny day.  So as you can see little WS-Elena was just ever so happy to take on this challenge.  She already had her sunglasses on and her brand new pair of capris jeans with her lovely orange scarf that she loves to wear as a belt.  I mean, how was I to refuse when she just looked so sweet and so full of sunshine all by herself.  lol....  I think she turned out just great and I think this paper pad is now one of my all time favorites.
It can be used for boy cards, summer cards and baby cards.  My mind just keeps coming up with all kinds of things that I am going to use this pap for.
While I was making my card I kind of went a little overboard with the dimensionals, but I am happy with how you can really see the waves behind Elena and get the feel for how she is up on the shore enjoying this sunny day.  The banners are part of the town that is getting ready to celebrate with all the tourists that have come to town for the annual lobster fest.  lol...
Wow, I think I am more ready for summer than I first thought.  It must have been the walk.  We are already making plans as to where we will be walking this summer.   There is a beautiful Japanese gardens here in town and the M&Ms want to walk there and sit and enjoy the beauty that it is.  I will really enjoy that myself, but it is going to take a few more walks to get Jerry and I back into the shape for such a long walk.  The M&Ms are still in shape and end up runny some of the walk as they have had PE and their miles runs since the start of the school year, so they really haven't missed a beat.  Yay!  Makes the whole thing a heck of a lot easier for us all.  lol...
Ok guys,  I have to get to bed so that I can go to work while my family stays home and enjoys yet another day off without me. (I'm not upset at all...) They are planning on playing some poker with their Dad and I know that Madison is always in it to win it when she plays against Jerry.  :O)
Be sure to head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see the awesome PRIMARY COLORS that the girls have put together for this week's Monday Fun Day Challenge.  I just know that your going to love all of their beautiful work.  :O)
I know that a lot of you asked where I got my Copic storage and so I am planning on loading some pictures tomorrow and go over a few of the other questions that I have been getting on how I color my eyes on my Greeting Farm Stamps.  So I will wish you all a good night and I hope that you all have a great Monday.  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Paw Paw-Razzi Sunday...

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you are all having a great weekend.  I am sure that for some you are even in the middle of a 3 day weekend.  Not me,  I worked yesterday and we are open on Monday.  Oh well I can't complain as I usually get a 3 & 1/2  day weekend once a month.  So no complaining over here.  lol....
So, as most of you know by now it is time for our 2nd Paw Paw-Razzi Sunday.  This week we are changing it up just a little bit as I have asked a few of my blogging friends to send me some of their sweet babies to share with you all.  At first I was going to showcase a couple at a time, but I think that each person's little fur babies deserve their own day.   That being said we are going to kick off this week with Amanda's beautiful cats..
First let me introduce you to Sinbad.  He is a Maine Coon that has his own little basket in his Mom's crafting room so that he can take a cat-nap or two while Amanda is making her awesome cards.   I am told that even though he looks small all cuddled up in his basket that he by no means is tiny.  He is 18 pounds of pure muscle.

Sinbad crafting with his Mom....

Lucy. Isn't she pretty?
Next is Amanda's black & white cat named Lucy.  According to Amanda Lucy also goes by LucyFur.  I think that says it all.  lol...  I have to thank Amanda as it took her all week to get a great picture of Lucy as her Mommy says that she is either running around or sound asleep.  Not very much of in between.   Evidently Lucy loves to sit on her Dad's shoulder like a parrot.   She is said to be very affectionate & loving, but really loves to torment poor Sinbad.   I think we all can figure out who is spoiled in Amanda's house.
How can you call this sleeping beauty a LucyFur?
I hope that you all enjoy seeing Amanda's little fur family as much as I do.  I think their both so cute.  If you would like to have one or more of your babies caught by the Paw Paw-Razzi just drop me an email along with a picture or two and I would be more than happy to put them on my blog.  Thanks again, Amanda.  I loved reading all about your babies.  They sound like so much fun and I really love the picture of Lucy sitting by the window. You just know that is the best spot in the house.
Next week our special cat visitor will be Rachel.  She is a Bombay much like my Lucy, but her Daddy was so nice and sent me a few pictures of her to share with you.  If you can't wait until next week you can watch a few of Jason's videos that show you just how awesome Rachel is.
Have a great day everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Two Liebster Blog Awards in one week....

Hi guys.
I really have to apologize as my week turned into a very full week and I don't think I had 5 seconds to do anything much less tell  you about some awesome bloggers I know and two very sweet girls that gave me the Liebster Award on the same day this week.  This award is given to blogs that have less than 200 followers.  All I have to do is thank the two ladies that gave me this honor and  then pick 5 other blogs(10 in my case. lol) that I feel deserve the recognition to pass it onto.
First however I really want to say "Thank you "to both Grace and  April...    You guys are so sweet and I can't even tell you how much your friendships mean to me.  I love that we can all learn new tricks and share new ideas with each other.  I can honestly say that since I have been blogging ( Aug. 2009) I have met so many awesome and talented ladies.  I can't remember what I did before I got into this.  :O)
For me the hardest part was to come up with bloggers that I love that have under 200 followers.  Everyone seems to have a ton of followers and are all so much better at it than I am .  So with that being said let me come up with a few ladies that I so enjoy seeing in the blog world that I think need to receive this award as well.  So in no particular order here goes:
1. Amanda              6.Nancy
2. Emma                 7. Rachel P.
3.Kris                      8. Sharette
4. Mercy                  9 Denice
5.Kiara                   10.Danni
I think if  you don't already know these ladies and their blogs that you will really enjoy them all.  Thanks so much for the Awards!  It is always so nice and even nicer to be able to pass the fun along.
So, it is late and I am heading back to bed.  My cold is getting better, but I am still just so tired from it.  lol... Talk at you tomorrow when we will have our 2nd Paw Paw-Razzi Sundays. :O)

Say Cheese! It's time for another Friday Spy Day.....

Hi guys,
Lori's Cute Card...
I hope that your Friday (or for those of you that are already onto your Saturday) is starting off to be a great one.  We are already to our 20th Friday Spy Day and this week we have spied Lori's adorable card.  I just love how she stamped up her cups three times so that she could take them apart and put them back in her own arrangement to fit her needs and her stitching, WOW!  Cute card Lori,  congratulations!

As you all know last week I finally cleaned up my crafting table and in the mix of all that stuff I came across one of my Anyas that I had colored up a long time ago. As you all know my moto 'no stamp gets left behind, lol'  I set her out to be used later.
Well,  I have been fighting a cold all week and because of that I  went to bed once I picked up the M&Ms from school.  When I did get up at about 7pm,  I was running way behind.   Thankfully Anya was sitting there looking so pretty that I just had to use her.  I couldn't believe that I actually had her cut into a cirlce along with a scalloped circle as well. lol...Yeah for me at this point. lol   This whole card was very fun to put together and thanks to Lori's card (I didn't do any stitching, just didn't have the energy)  and the fact that I didn't have to color anything last minute it only took me about 10 minutes to put the whole thing together.  heehehe.....
So be sure to head over to the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog and check out all DT Girls'  cards. They have done such a great job on all of them.  :O)  I am heading back to bed for the night as I still have two more days this week to work.
Have a great day everyone and I will talk to you all of Sunday as we are having another guest Paw Paw-razzi Sundays.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Good morning everyone.
I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day,  When I got home last night from work my latest order from The Greeting Farm was sitting on my desk and of course one of the newest sets, 'Flutter Heart'  was part of it.   lol... I just had to take a whole 15 minutes and stamp up this cute little image of a boy and girl together.  I think it may be on of my simplest cards that I have ever made and yet I think it is just adorable.   It is more of a notecard size than a full card, but I think it is just fun as a little card to slip into a wallet or maybe a lunch bag for school...lol  The card it's self measure 2&1/2 by 3 inches.
I was trying out some new stamping ink that AmyR likes to use for sentiments to get very clear stamps out of it.  It is called Brillance-Graphite Black and I am sure that all of  you have probably used it, but for me it was new and I just love how dark and clean the images and sentiments come out.  I then went with some of the embossing powder once again. This time I used Magic Moon from Lindy's stamp gang and I am starting to get the hang of that as well..lol...  I know I am not that good at it, but I am determined to practice and get better.
So, in the HEART of today I wanted to share a free hug with you all and wish you a very Happy Day indeed.  :O)
I am going to head to bed as my desktop wasn't letting me load my pictures again, so I am on my laptop and hoping that this will be nicer to me.  :O)
Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Monday Fun Day... Love You Lots...

 Happy Monday everyone.
I hope that you all had a great weekend and that your week is off to a great start.  We had a very exciting weekend here at the Gobea house.  Between having a new kitten decide that we are the neighborhood foster house, Nerf Wars inside the house with the M&Ms and my Mom and Dad and getting to go for two short walks due to great weather I have to say that I really really had a super fast but awesome  weekend.  Oh and did I mention that we picked up 'Breaking Dawn' and bought some movie theater popcorn to go with it.  I love family movie night and of course it doesn't hurt that it was a movie that I hadn't gotten to see in the theater, so I was very exciting to finally get the chance to watch it.   As most of you already know I love to spend time with my family even if it is the simplest of things I am usually a very happy girl.  :O)
Ok, as it is already Monday and for some of you guys Tuesday I will get right to it.  Today on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog we are on our 20th Monday Fun Day and with Valentine's Day just around the corner we would like for you to pull out that Red and Pink and use that Valentine's Day / Love at your inspiration for your cards or projects this week.  If you haven't already hit the FFF challenge blog be sure to head over and see what the rest of the ladies how brewed up for this Holiday of Love inspired Challenge.
When I got to thinking about my very last Valentine for this year I remembered that little WS-Stella is my all time Favorite WS and she just happens to have her sweetheart's card in her hands ready to take to him come Tuesday evening when they head out for a great Surf & Turf dinner followed by a little dancing to top off their romantic night.  lol...
As I have been trying to find that 'specific' color of skin (getting tired of my go to combo for all my skin) and hair combo lately I decided to try this skin tone that my friend AmyR has been using on her videos lately.  You can check out her blog here, and even watch her video series on her Valentine cards that she has made.  I even used this color combo of AmyR's for Stella's brown hair, and I am not ashamed to say that I am very satisfied with how it came out.  I put together AmyR's colors and AmyY's technique of working the pens little by little to get that perfect result. However I also have to admit as well that with the way that AmyY drew this adorable Wild Sprout for the Greeting Farm her hair is a great style to practice with.  Thanks AmyY and AmyR.   lol... I always get a lot of inspiration from you both.  FYI, there is no picture of the inside of this card because when I was making the front of it and then stamped the little hearts on the corners I didn't bother to check which way I had the card opening and it is upside down.  Ggrrrr.  I didn't want to take the chance that I would ruin the whole thing, so I waited until after I had taken my photos to fix it.  I also forgot to take a picture of my Copics as well due to being upset with myself.  lol....Oh the problems we have, so so sad. lol
Have a great day everyone.  Hope you all enjoy this challenge as it really was a fun one to put together.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
