Good morning all.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Our days have sort of run together for us all over here in quarantine land. lol...Well as you all know by now we have today off again and then we are all released to go back to school and work. The kids both have terrible coughs and Madison's tonsils look like ping pong balls, but she is getting better. Mitchell and Madison are both in the mood to put up our Christmas tree, and you'd think that with being off work all last week that I would have found the time or the energy to get it done. NOT! I think once they both get up and get showered that we will go a head and get it done. It really isn't that big of a deal for me anymore. They like to put the tree together and then they love hanging all of the ornaments up after I put on the lights. We all love to listen to Christmas songs while we do this, so it really is fun. I just hate having to clean before you get started and then you need to clean when you are all done. I guess I will get the pre-cleaning done before they wake up so that things will go much quicker. With all of us cut off from our normal routine this last week it has really messed up my internal clock, so I was just a little surprised last night when I looked at the calender and noticed that Christmas is just two weeks away. I better get started soon or it will have come and gone before I even blink. I am proud to say that I have all of my Christmas cards just about done, so they are all going in the mail on Tuesday. Yay! I do love making them, but I am ready to move on to something other than that.
I don't know if I have ever mentioned that Polar bears are kind of a family thing for us. We all just love them and when I ran across this awesome stamp over at the All That Scraps blog I just had to have it. Once I purchased this cutie I knew right away that I had to make a Christmas card with it. Of course Mitchell wants it as does Jerry and Madison, so I don't think that it will be mailed to anyone. I have to admit that I love how it turned out and I think I'll keep it for a prototype for next years Christmas cards. The silver and blue snowflakes are from the second dollar store card that I purchased for .50 cents last week. I am just tickled to have been able to get so much out of those cards. I really wish that I had taken a picture of the cards before I cut them up and used the embellishments the way I wanted to. You would never have believed it.
Well now that I have babbled on I should get going. I may not be going to work today, but I sure do have a lot to get done before I head back tomorrow. Have a super day everyone.
Hugs, Lisa G
