Good morning all.. I hope that everyone had a great weekend is ready to get this party started. lol.. Just kidding. This week I work all week, but like most everyone else I have the following Monday off, so I am really happy about that. I am hope for more great weather so that we can walk some more. We had a great ,but short walk yesterday and I am really in the mood once again. (Little shout of joy there!)
This month is just flying bye and we are trying to get all our ducks in a row so that we can celebrate my Birthday, the M&M's Graduation and my Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary. Needless to say I am running out of time on all fronts. However, I am pushing through with a smile on my face. Not that any one thing is something to be upset about, it just means that I am very very busy and still have to go to work so that I can afford to play. Awwww the day to day problems of almost everyone in the America.
So, let me get to today's card. I finally managed to ink up little Cheeky Geeky today and make a card for my co worker's Granddaughter. She wanted a card to send her to celebrate the last day of school. Apparently she loves any kind of PEACE sign out there so I finally broke open the Bright and Basic pad from Recollections that I purchased on our annual shopping trip to the big city last month. I have to say that it sure had some fun prints and in nice bright Spring feeling papers. As I wanted to bring out the beautiful colors of the papers I decided to paper piece her outfit and headband as it worked so much better than just my Copics and I could have done this time. lol... Believe me this is much better with these colors than I would have been.
While I did color Cheeky's skin and hair I must say that I had a blast coloring her glasses and the eyes that you see through them. Really really fun! Anyway, Saturday night I was in bed reading my book when I thought up what I wanted the inside of this card to say and I have to admit that I am really happy with how it turned out. Part of the paper pad included this adorable flower paper and that lead me to Flower Power/ Peace, Love and Hippie Beads as well. lol... What can I say I was on a roll with my theme for some reason. Hope you enjoy her.
Well, that's it for me today. I am off to bed... Have a great Monday everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
