Good morning everyone.
It is already Tuesday and I know today is going to be somewhat of a busy day as we were closed yesterday and that always makes us super busy.  lol..
So, as I am holding off showing you the project that I spent most of my weekend working on I thought that I use this time to wish my friend and blogging buddy a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Happy Birthday Amanda!  I hope that you have a wonderful day and I can't wait to see all of your new markers.  lol... If you want to you can head over here and wish Amanda a very Happy Birthday as well.
Ok guys, have a wonderful day and I will talk at you later.

Happy Memorial Day...

Good Morning All.
I am late getting this posted as we went on yet another walk this morning and I have to say that the weather has been just perfect for it this weekend...  It is nice and sunny yet not at all HOT...  :O)  Just perfect.
When we got back I was looking at all of our pretty flowers that are blooming in the front of our house, so I decided to share them with you.   I have a huge rose bush that has been here since we moved in over 4 years ago.  Mind you I have tried to dig it out each year only to have it come back bigger and prettier, so I have decided to embrace it's beauty as well as all of it's nasty thorns. (A whole other story. lol) Anyway we also have a whole bunch of  beautiful purple irises (I think that's what their called). that run along the front of our house.   On the other side of our porch we have a very small rose bush that the roses are about the size of a dime or small.  The wind is of course blowing a little, so Jerry had tried to  hold one for me to get a good picture.  I wish it had come out better, so I deleted the picture of that one.  They are however just the perfect little roses I have ever seen.  I snapped off one of the irises and took it in the house to prove to the M&Ms that they smelled like purple to me.   lol...
Yes,  purple.  I know, I am weird.
I hope that you all have a wonderful Memorial Day and if you are traveling home today or tomorrow be safe.  Have a great day and I will talk at you all tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa

This is the only vase I have.  lol... It was a very small little bottle of Sparkling grape that we drank
with the M&Ms in celebration of my Birthday last week.  Mitchell and I enjoyed it, but Jerry and Maddie
both just didn't get the goodness of it.  lol... What do they know?  :O)

Happy Weekend...

Hi guys.
I don't have a card to share with you today as the last part of my week really was swamped and by the time I got home at night I was too tired to do more than visit with the family, eat a bagel and head to bed.  I hate it when I get that tired, but sometimes you just have to role with the punches.  lol... It wasn't a bad week mind you,  it was just a very busy one.  :O)
So, with that being said  I want to Thank Everyone for making my Birthday a GREAT one.  I worked, but it truly was a fun day and between my Mom and Dad, all of you and my Hubby and M&Ms I really felt very special.   So thank you,  thank you all so very much.
Jerry and the M&Ms gave me a SMASH book that I never thought I would even want, but I ran across a video where the gal made her book into a Copic coloring chart - hair color /skin combo book.  I tend to be a perfectionist and the thought of just taping something on a preprinted piece of paper that has nothing to do with what I am doing really didnt' seem to interest me.  However, (and let me make that a HOWEVER) this book she made was just fantastic and I wish that I could remember who it was so that I could give her credit and go back to it for more inspiration.   Anyway my very best and sweet friend Amy Young sent me an awesome package in the mail full of her Sister's hand crocheted flowers along with the Crate Paper 'Pretty Party' paper pad and some of the fantastic ColorBox fluid chalk.  She also sent me this adorable stamp from Dear Lizzy that I love.  Thanks so much Amy.  So so sweet of you.
Then, to add frost to my cake one of my co-workers gave me a new charm for my bracelet and some fantastic Chocolate Chip cookies.  Then my friend and other co-worker brought me an ice cream cake along with an 'Iris' card storage box that I have decided works perfect for storing my bigger set of clear stamps, ie... Lawn Fawn, Paper Smooches and Hero Arts.  Talk about needing to take twice as long of a walk as we were before my birthday. lol...
Ok guys, I just wanted to share a little and wish you all a very Happy Memorial Day Weekend.  Be safe and remember to remember your Loved ones this weekend.
Hugs, Lisa G
Thank you Amy!

Thank you Amy & Jacque!
more Amy..

Thanks Kristen

Thanks Debbie!

bad picture, GREAT product!  Thanks Deb.

Notice I forgot to take a picture of my SMASH book, but I really am enjoying it.  lol

Way To Go!

Hi guys.  I am going to make this a quick one...
I hope that your week is going good for you.  We have been so swamped at work that I am  relieved that I was in a very crafty mood over the weekend and actual managed to get a few cards done ahead of time.  lol...
As I was in the mood to try a new hair color combo and I really wanted to play with this cutie from Saturarted Canary I though why not pull out my new paper pad from DCWV and make this card a fun one that is somewhat out of my comfort zone.  lol... My daughter really liked how she turned out and asked to have it to give to her friend as a Graduation card next month.  I just couldn't say no to that so I let her decide what she wanted to have as the greetings on the outside and the inside of this one.   :O)   I really think it came out super cute and I hope that her friend will really enjoy it.
Sorry for the darkness of my pictures.  My battery on my camera needed to be charged and as the final episode of Glee is on tonight I wanted to get this post ready to go before it started.  I just could not get my light adjusted correctly and really ran out of patient to start over with the whole thing.  Like I said, long couple of days.  lol.. Can you say major Gleek Family?  lmbo...  Have a great day all.
Hugs, Lisa G

thinking of you...

Good morning all.
Did you guys make it through Monday ok?  Wow, it was already insane yesterday and the holiday weekend doesn't even begin until at the very earliest on Friday afternoon.  lol... Just kidding, I only mention Friday afternoon as that is when the M&Ms start their 31/3 day holiday.
I do however mention surviving Monday as yesterday was a very very busy Monday.  Some days go so smooth and some don't.  This was some day.  I'll leave it at that.  lol...
You just know that I can't post today without hitting on Glee for just a moment.  Are you ready for graduation day?  I think it is bittersweet as I am so going to miss all of the people that are graduating.   I for one am planning on coming home, eating dinner and that will be about it until  I watch me some Glee.  :O)  Yes, it is a Gleek alert at the moment.  lmbo....
So I am sure that if you've hung in this far you are ready to get to today's card.  I have had the new stamps from The Greeting Farm on my desk for the last week and I didn't even cut them out or ink them up until this weekend.  I finally got the chance to play with both CC Riley and Cheeky Geeky.  I stamped up Riley and for some reason she just felt like she was one of those girls that loves a fun dye job.  She had a little too much fun making her hair a rather bright albeit not too natural red this time.  She is adorable, and a little bit goth so she is able to pull the whole look off.  It is Spring and with Spring it tends to rain a little bit around here, so Riley pulled out her new raincoat that she bought at the local thrift shop.  It is in perfect shape and she just loves the green and purple dots.  As she does love the look of goth she also loves to make a mole in different places on her face.  It just brings out her personality (and it has nothing to do with the fact that my ink made a little line on her face when I stamped her up and it was driving me crazy).
I seem to be a little addicted to paper piecing once again, so I had a lot of fun with her clothes.    lol... I also took some of this adorable ribbon from WeR Memory Keepers and made a little flower to add as an embellishment along with the gems.  I think I really like the look.
Sorry that I have prattled on with this one, but I think I just needed to talk.  I hope that you all have a wonderful Tuesday.   I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Riley even pulled out a little of the atyouSpica pens for some goth looking eyeshadow.

relax...

Good morning all.. I hope that everyone had a great weekend is ready to get this party started.  lol.. Just kidding.  This week I work all week, but like most everyone else I have the following Monday off, so I am really happy about that.  I am hope for more great weather so that we can walk some more.  We had a great ,but short walk yesterday and I am really in the mood once again.  (Little shout of joy there!)
This month is just flying bye and we are trying to get all our ducks in a row so that we can celebrate my Birthday, the M&M's Graduation and my Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary.  Needless to say I am running out of time on all fronts.  However, I am pushing through with a smile on my face.   Not that any one thing is something to be upset about,  it just means that I am very very busy and still have to go to work so that I can afford to play.  Awwww the day to day problems of almost everyone in the America.
So, let me get to today's card. I finally managed to ink up little Cheeky Geeky today and make a card for my co worker's Granddaughter.  She wanted a card to send her to celebrate the last day of school.  Apparently she loves any kind of PEACE sign out there so I finally broke open the Bright and Basic pad from Recollections that I purchased on our annual shopping trip to the big city last month.  I have to say that it sure had some fun prints and in nice bright Spring feeling papers.  As I wanted to bring out the beautiful colors of the papers I decided to paper piece her outfit and headband as it worked so much better than just my Copics and I could have done this time.  lol... Believe me this is much better with these colors than I would have been.
While I did color Cheeky's skin and hair I must say that I had a blast coloring her glasses and the eyes that you see through them.  Really really fun!  Anyway, Saturday night I was in bed reading my book when I thought up what I wanted the inside of this card to say and I have to admit that I am really happy with how it turned out.  Part of the paper pad included this adorable flower paper and that lead me to Flower Power/ Peace, Love and Hippie Beads as well.  lol... What can I say I was on a roll with my theme for some reason.  Hope you enjoy her.
Well, that's it for me today.  I am off to bed... Have a great Monday everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

She came BACK!!!!

Good morning everyone.
I know that I usually do a Paw-paw razzi on Sundays, but today we are going to do a Sunday on Sunday.  lol...
So, this morning we got up at 6:30 and headed out on our morning walk.  It is a bit overcast this morning and the neighbor lady had watered her lawn, so the little birds were all having a field day dive bombing her yard and us.  I only mention this as Madison is petrified of birds and she was busy clinging to me as we walked.  We had finally turned the corner to head back in the direction of our house only one street over from us when all of a sudden there is Sunday walking across the street from the lake side.  She is much much thinner and her hair is back to falling out.  She has a healed wound on her back and she is a little more skittish that she ever was.  Needless to say we decided to cut our walk short and head back home.  She spent the next hour eating and getting loved on by all of us.  She of course let Jerry give her lots of love as she tends to be more his cat than any of ours.
It's funny as I had been putting off telling everyone that she was gone because I just knew that as soon as I mentioned it she would turn up again.  Jerry and I both agree that we felt she would show up today for some reason as well.  This is hard on us all because we want to protect her, but she is clearly an outdoor cat and she is going to continue to come and go as she pleases.
I did check her out to see if there were any signs that she had had kittens, but there isn't.  I think that she must have gotten into a fight and run off to let her wounds heal.  I guess we'll just never know.  In the meantime we'll continue to feed her and love her while she is here.  lol
I wanted to share some pictures that we took this morning, and Madison wanted to make sure you could see her wound.  :O)
Ok guys,  go give your fur babies hugs and have a great day.  I am going to get some crafting in as yesterday I ended up being very lazy and watching 'Bones' with Jerry for most of the afternoon.  That is one show that I can not color and watch at the same time...
     Talk at you tomorrow..
Hugs, Lisa G

Celebrate Us...

TGIF...
Good morning all.  It is finally Friday and I can't wait to get off from work and spend a bit of time on a nice long walk with the family.  The M&Ms have been back at school and feeling better so I think we are ready to hit the open road once again.  lol...  In fact we all were going a little stir crazy over the lack of being able to get out there in the early morning sunshine.  It has just been so beautiful and we love how it feels at 6am when the neighborhood is still somewhat asleep yet the sun is up and no coats are required.  Can't you just hear the birds chirping with the bright, but not too hot morning sun shining down on the dawn of a new day?    :O)
I have a little bit of sad news to share today. As of this morning we haven't seen our little Sunday around for about 4 weeks now.  One morning she left Jerry a couple of wings and a big liver on the front porch, then for the next two days she would follow him around as he did yard work or went out to read in the evenings.  The next thing we know she isn't coming around.  Jerry seems to think that she was hit or something.  Mitchell thinks that someone else has decided to take her.  I put off mentioning it as my boss says outdoor cats can come and go for several weeks at a time.  I know she was never ours, but I also know that Jerry is the one that is missing her the most.  Lately I have been missing her waiting on our porch when I come home from work.  :O)  I just hope that she has found a great home and is very Happy.  Anyway, just wanted to let you all know. Thanks for listening to our silly stories of our little cats.
Now, let me get to today's card.  I found some of these really pretty stacked medallion stickers called Dazzles from Hot off the press, so I thought why not make a card with just stickers and a little bit of Copics?  I didn't really need a card like this one, but I figured I can tuck it away for one of those times when I just want to give Jerry an 'I Love You' kind of cards.  lol.. He is so funny.  Every card I make him, no matter what the occasion he will keep them on his bedside table.  After he gets more than five of them I take them off and put them all in an album for him.  I honestly don't know what else to do with them..lol???
Ok guys, that's all I have for today.  I hope you all have a wonderful Friday followed by an even better weekend.  Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Celebrate...

Hi guys.
I have one last card for all the Birthdays this month and I didn't want you to think that I only love my SC stamps, so I pulled out this sweetheart from Tiddly Inks and colored her up.   lol...
It is still early this evening, but with a busy work week and getting the kids back to school and on the right tracks to graduation I am feeling very tired and so so ready to head off to dream land.  So with that being said,  I am going to make this really sweet and simple tonight.  lol
I used one of the Tiddly Ink stamps that Amy Y was nice enough to get for me along with a TGF sentiment (love how they all work so well together.) along with some simple dp and a bit of ribbon.  Very quick card to make, but I feel that it is just as cute as I wanted it to be.
I hope that you all have a great day and if it's hot where you are stay cool and if it isn't nice and toasty I hope you are enjoying your day anyway.  lol...

Ok, off to bed I go.  Have a great day, and I will talk at you tomorrow.  Oh, before I go I just want to say thank you to everyone that has been so sweat and left me such nice comments.  lol... I love reading all that you guys have to say.
Hugs Lisa

Yeah!

Happy hump day everyone.
I know I mentioned yesterday how obsessed I have become with Krista Smith's Saturated Canary digis, so I thought that I would show one of the other stamps that she has that I LOVE!  lol.. This cutie has the best hair that is so fun to color and her big eyes are fantastic!   I even let Madison convince me that I should use a deeper color of red on her to make her stand out a little more.  So here she is 'Steampunk 1'  with her red lips.  I have to admit that I love how she turned out, and yes even her lips look really good.  lol...
So I was busy typing this up during the commercials on Glee and I really went a little off track, so I am just going to cute myself off here.  If I didn't I would so have to go on and on about Glee tonight and I really don't want to spoil it for anyone that might have missed it.  heehee  :O)   It was GOOD thought!
Hope you all like her as much as I do.   She is going to be for Madison as we found out last week that she made the Honor Roll this semester and we are very very proud of her hard work.
Have a great Wednesday and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

A bit of an Obsession....

Hi guys.
See I told you I would have a card for each day this week.  lol... I know it's a bit of a shocker, but I have been having a wonderful time coloring lately and as you will see I am just a little bit obsessed with this adorable stamp by Krista Smith over at her Saturated Canary store.  I just love that she is so perfect for so many different kinds of cards.  Of course her beautiful eyes and awesome hair just make her all the more fun for me to work with.
I wanted to thank everyone for all your well wishes.  I finally received the call last night at about 8:45pm from the Dr's clinic. It seems that there have been so many tests going out that they are taking a little longer than they usually do.  They did however get the test results back and the kids do not show positive for pertussis.  Yay!  We can all head back to school and work in the morning.  I'm not so sure that M&Ms  are all that thrilled, as they both still have a nasty cough, but back to school they will go.
I am still getting all of my May birthday cards done, so guess what I have to share with you all today?  However before we get to that let me just give my Sister-in-law a Happy Birthday shout out  as today is her Birthday!   Happy Birthday Kara! We all love you very much and hope you have a great day...
Moving right along I once again pulled out my fave digi  'duck duck, goose'  from Saturated Canary.  I cropped her off and put her with one of my Spellbinders.  I just love how she looks with these Miss Caroline-Dolled Up from MME paper pad.  Not only did I want to make this card for a birthday, but I want to enter it into the Oozak blog challenge which is to use Spring Colors.  I think that the pinks, blues and greens work so well together and really make you feel like Spring is in the air.
Ok guys,  wish us luck getting Maddie back into the groove in the morning.  She is suppose to be heading back to bed and all of a sudden she is crying about not feeling good.  To quote my friend. "Uffda"...it's gonna be a long night.  lol...
We are suppose to get into the 80s once again and I don't know that I am quite ready for the heat if I can't stay in my own house and just be lazy.  heehee.. Just kidding.  I will admit that I have been somewhat on the lazy side these last few days (in between running from one M's room to the other) I have been laying on our wonderful couch coloring and watching the show 'Bones' with Jerry.  Once I was able to get past all the skeletons and gore of it I really enjoy the story line underneath.  lol   Oh well, back to work and God willing we are hoping to get back into our walking routine as well.  We have let that slide and I don't like that at all.  :O(  We'll get there I'm sure.  Well guys, if you've hung in with me this long let me just wish you all a great day.  I am heading to bed.
    Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Make a Wish...

Good morning everyone.
I am going to make this a quick one as I still have two kids that our home sick and as of last night still no answer back on their test results.   I never thought I would ever hear my kids say that needed and wanted to go back to school, but with it being so close to the end of the year they both are so worked up about missing school just because they are sick.  We are so proud of them and I am so hoping that the Dr calls today and says that we all can get back to our lives.
Ok, I said quick and this card although it has not one stamp on it or a Copic marker used it really was not a quick card to make.  It was easy, but it did take a little bit of time to make all my candles.  lol...  I wish I could take credit for this design, but I actually found the idea in an older (Oct. 2011) Papercrafts magazine and I really wanted to give it a go.  This design was made by Beth Mason and I have to say that I really love how it came out.  I used some of my brighter BG papers and a little bit of hemp cord.  That was pretty much all I needed with the exception of some heavy duty tape and glue.
Well guys, I hope you all had a great Mother's day and a wonderful start to your week.  I will see you back here tomorrow as I have yet another card to share with you.  Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Happy Mother's Day...

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I wanted to stop in today and wish all you Moms and Moms to be a very Happy Mother's Day.  We have been stuck in our house since Wednesday as that is when we found out that both the M&Ms have once again been exposed to Whooping Cough and when I came home from work they both had fevers of 100 or more so we took them back up to my work to get them checked out.  They did the tests and because they take at least five days to get the results we all had to start on z-packs and stay home until further notice.  They are both coughing and having other issues, so both Jerry and I have been very busy (at home only) since Thursday morning.  As you all know both my kids have been fully immunized and we were assured that this was most unlikely to happen let alone two times in two years.  I am hoping we'll hear back by tomorrow so that we all can get back to school and work.
The only reason I even mention this is because we are not allowed to leave our house as a precaution that also means that I won't be able to head up to my Mom and Dad's house to spend Mother's day with them.
I did however get my Mom's card made for her and because I didn't get it out in the mail yet I am going to share it today with all of you and my Mom (of course, lol).  So, I hope you all have a  Happy Mother's Day!
When I was in High School I took flora culture and I had a great time competing and winning blue ribbons for my floral designs.  Well, while I was using this adorable Prima flower that Susanna sent to me with my last order from her shop I thought it would be really fun to make the front of my card look like one of my arrangements.  I am very very happy with how this turned out and I love the brown and pink color combo.  Hope you like it Mom and I will be sure to get it to you just as soon as I can.  Love you!  Thanks for being such a great Mom and teaching me that it is a good thing to be creative.
Ok guys, I am heading to bed with the hopes of getting to sleep for at least four straight hours.  Sick kids and a sick Husband do not make for restful nights of sleep.  Wish me luck.  lol..
     Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs,  Lisa G
