TGIF...

Hi guys.
It feels so good to have actually been able to share a card each day this week.  I can not remember the last time that happened.  hehee...  I tell you it sure makes me feel good and makes me want to spend some more quality time with my Copics and stamps.
I am hoping that I have the chance to get some well needed crafting done this weekend.  I have a couple of projects in my head that I really want to work on.  It is suppose to rain all weekend long here, so I am thinking I might just get the chance.  :O)
So, before I get to my crafty weekend I thought I would share a very simple card that I made last week to give to friend of mine who had come home for the holiday weekend.  Unfortunately I ended up being sick for two of the three days that she was home and didn't get to spend any time with her.  I however wanted to make her this card and send it to her anyway as I am sure she will understand the love behind it. lol.
As you can see I used a new Anya from The Greeting Farm.  I think she is so cute and I can not wait to color her up again.  I am sorry that I don't have my supply list with me as I am  in the bedroom.  If I get the chance after work tomorrow I will load it them. Hope you guys like her as much as I do.  I went a little simple on this one as I wanted Anya and the paper to be the stars of my card.
Ok guys, I am off to bed.  Have to get up again at 5am to start another day of work.  Have a wonderful Friday and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Creeper Crew James-TGF

Hello there.
I hope that you are all having a wonderful week.  I have to admit that for me it has been a very quick one for sure.  I can't believe that tomorrow is already Thursday.
It is going by fast and I think it is because of the holidays.  I am in no way ready for it this year and it will be here before you know it.  I am however really getting into making some much needed Christmas cards for my friends and family, but I decided to take a brief break from them to make this fun little card for my oldest.  It really isn't for any particular reason other than I wanted to make it for him and tell him that I love him.  :O)  He is a very good Son and I am very thankful for both my M&Ms everyday.
Of course I also really wanted to use my newest Creeper Crew stamp from The Greeting Farm.  I think he is just so cute!   I have another idea for a card/project that I want to use him for, so I am hoping to get some time this weekend to play.  Wish me luck due to the fact that as of this moment I really couldn't tell you where the top of my desk is.  :O) lmbo...
Ok, ok let me get to today's card.  I grabbed little James here and added in a few of my very first ever alpha stamps from LawnFawn to decorate this card.  You might have noticed that I have also become just a tad addicted to the enamel dots from My Minds Eye.  I think they make really cute accents for girl cards and as you can see they are great for boy cards as well.  I had two different sets of the dots and I noticed that the brown ones were just a shade away from each other which really went well with my papers.  Now for my background, I was playing around with the papers over a month ago and I just could not get the card to come together.  After a long time spent on making it work I finally just put it all away until now.  I think I found it's home with this stamp and with the enamel dots.  :O)  Yay!  No wasted papers ever!
Well, I was going to make this uber quick as I am so so tired and it is getting colder here by the minute and my water bed is calling my name very very loudly.  So with that being said, I will wish you all a great day tomorrow and talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

No coloring required...

Hi guys.
I just wanted to pop in and share a quick & simple card that I made over the weekend.  While I was running around last week I found this really cute embossing folder by 'bringing Crafts-too you' at our local bookstore/crafts shop.   I didn't even know they sold them.  Anyway, it was really inexpensive and I liked the little hanging ornaments so I picked it up.
After using the embossing folder I added some VersaMark to it and some Hero Arts embossing powder to give it a bit of a glossy look to go with my base cardstock and that I used.   I think overall I really like how it turned out.
The embossing and the ribbon give it a little bit of dimension, but it's flat enough to put through the mail.  :O)
I hope you all have a great day tomorrow, and I will talk to you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Sew cute...

Well hello there.
I originally had this post ready to go on Saturday morning, but when I went to load my pictures I was not able to.  As most of you already know from my pitiful plea for help I had run out of space on my google account.  Well,  I finally caved today and spent the $2.49  a month in order to have extra space.   It's either that or make my pictures smaller so they use the free space allotted, but I honestly have not idea how to do that and rather than just get irritated beyond belief I decided to just cough up the money and get on with my life.  :O)  No complaints really as my blog is now back in order and hopefully without issue for a little while.
So, let's get to today's card.  This little darling has actually been colored up now for over a week and I just haven't gotten around to putting her onto a card.  However last week I pulled out my sewing machine to sew Madison a straight skirt for the wedding and I figured while I had it out I should give sewing on a card a go.  I was basically playing around with all the stitches that my machine will do and  have to tell you I really like how this turned out.   lol
I made this card for the fun of it, so even though the sewing is not perfect I still put it together as mostly a trial run on the whole sewing on paper project.  I just might become addicted to it, so watch out.  hehee...
Well guys I am off to bed.  Have a great night and I will talk at you later.  Due to the fact that I am using my laptop and I don't have my supply list right at the moment and I am exhausted from a very bad Monday (we wont even go there) I will have to add that later.
Thanks to all of you that tried to help me with my problem.  You really have no idea how much you all mean to me.  It is just a wonderful group of ladies that I have met through blogging that I can't even imagine my life without it. Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

I so need some help...

Hi guys.
I am trying very very hard at the moment to not be in a VERY bad mood!  I was putting up a card that I had made just before heading off to bed and when I went to upload my pictures it told me that I was out of space for my pictures.  It is also telling me that I need to pay a certain amount each month to have extra space.  Ggggrrr...
Have any of you come across this problem?  I have with loading my sidebar pictures, but never with my actual posts.  I really really need any help or advise you can give me.  I am not a very savvy computer person, and I just get by when it comes to my blogging, but I think I am getting the gist of it.  lol...
So, if any of you have any advise I would be so so grateful.  Until I get this problem fixed I guess I won't be able to share anything.  :O(  Needless to say I am not a happy girl at the moment.
     Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
Hugs, Lisa G

BaaaaHaaa Ha!

Hi guys!  No it's not Halloween again, I just found my pictures of Jerry and the M&Ms' grave yard that they made out of my front yard for Halloween and thought I would share them.  I think they did a great job of it.  Jerry cut out each tombstone and Madison printed then painted them all.  I have to tell you it was HUGE it in our neighborhood and we had a line all the way back to the street of Trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.  lol....
Have a great Saturday. I will talk at you later
as I have a ton of cards to share.
Hugs, Lisa G

A Cornucopia of Thanks...

Hi Guys.
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  Even though I had a three day weekend it still seemed to just fly by.  Jerry and I had a lot of things to take care of Friday and we were lucky enough to get them all done just in time to pick up the M&Ms from school.   Saturday seemed just as fast as we had things at home to do and then it was time to head out to the wedding.
It was so much fun and it was really very nice to see two people that are so much in love be surrounded by all their family and friends that wanted to help them celebrate.  The kids even got in on the pictures as the photographer was taking funny pictures with mustaches and boas along with top hats and glasses.  I for one can not wait to see the one of the M&Ms with the Bride and Groom.  Mitchell picked out a boa and a pirates hat.  He really does have a very funny side when he wants to let it show.  :O)
I was able to spend Sunday making a few cards and actually getting into the spirit of the season with some of my favorite Christmas movies on the computer while I made my cards.   For some reason, even though it is one of my all time favorite movies  'The Family Stone' really made me cry this year. I am thinking I might have to put it on the shelf and just go more with 'Love Actually'.  Now that one really makes me happy.  Do you guys have any that you just have to watch each year?  I would love to know.  I know I have a few more that I watch every year, but right now none of them are coming to me.  lol...
My card today is one that I made for my friend's Granddaughter.  Even though she is only 10 I still wanted to go with something a little different this time around, so I pulled out this free digi from Elizabeth O Dulemba, I think I have had for quite some time now, but  I have always loved how others have been able to color a cornucopia so I figured I might as well give it a go.  I really tried to take my time with it and then  I think fussy cut out the bottom of the cornucompia to give it even more emphasis on the fact that it is overflowing.  Then I used my rectangle Spellbinder to cut and emboss the top part.  I really liked how that look, so I used the same die to cut it out another rectangle. I then moved the die to make it the perfect size for my sentiment.  I suppose even though I used a die you could say I fussy cut that as well.  Overall I really am happy with how it turned out.  I realize that it is a bit grown up, but I do remember coloring the ditto sheets with a cornucopia on them to bring home to my Mom each year, so I am hopefull that she will like this one as well.  :O)
Ok, time to head off to dream land.   I hope you all have a great start to your week and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Just playing around...

 Hi guys..
I hope that everyone has been having a great weekend.  Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just this coming week?  I am busy working on some much needed cards for the big day.  However I thought I would just take a quick break and share a card that I really just made while playing around with some stamps and some dies that I haven't used yet.
Ok, my short break is over, so....   I had better get back to it as I have two cards I need to have done by tomorrow and I am only halfway finished.  :O)
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

How many ways can you say..."Thank You"

Good morning again.
Wow, I think I have made it three strait days.  lol... I told you that I have been busy and I had a few cards to share with you.
With that being said I will jump right into today's card.  I have had this cute little Saturate Canary stamp colored for about a month now.  Once I had her all colored up  I just couldn't figure out what paper I wanted to use or what kind of card she needed to go on.  Then,  I got home from work last week an my awesome friend Amy Young had sent me a package.  :O)  Inside was MME's 6x6 paper pad called 'the sweetest thing'.  I had put a pin in it on 'Pinterest' and forgot all about it.  As I went through this beautiful pad I couldn't help but think that I had finally found her home.  I pulled out some Spellbinders added some ribbon and decided to use some of the enamel dots I had purchased awhile back as well.  Can you believe that I didn't even realize that the dots were actually the ones that are meant to go with this paper set?  lmbo... I swear until I wrote my supply list I had no idea what's so ever.
So long story short... I had a great time finally giving her a home and I can't thank you enough Amy as I really do love this paper and all the different colors that go with it.
I am off to work soon so I will say "TTFN" and I will talk at you later.  Have a great day.
Hugs, Lisa G

Triple Step Stamping...

Good morning everyone.
I hope that you all had a great start to your week.  We woke up to a small amount of snow and pretty much slushy snowy rain for most of the day.  It was a grayish day, but all in all a pretty good start to a busy week.  I want to thank you all for your sweet comments on the Wedding card.  It means a lot to me and it helps me to make sure that it is good enough to give.  lol.. Thanks so much.
So let's get started on today's card(s).  I was messing around checking out YouTube videos this weekend and I really wanted to try something new to me.  I came across this awesome video from by BrandyScraps about Triple Step Stamping.  Well, I don't have any flower stamps, but I thought this would be a fun technique so I pulled out some snowflake and Christmas Ornament stamps from Lawn Fawn and really just played around.
As you can see my first card I started out somewhat simple and just mounted the different papers without using any kind of foam dots.  On my second I went a little more fancy with it and not only did I use foam dots every other level I also heat embossed the sentiment and I hand made the boarder with an embossing pen which I them heat embossed as well.  :O)  Huge smiles here as I am so so bad at heat embossing.  My wonderful friend Amy Y was nice enough to send me s VersaMark stamp pad and my other friend Mercy so far as to make a YouTube video all in the hopes to get me heat embossing and loving it.  Thanks girls, I think I just might get to liking this somewhere down the road.  hehe
I think my heat gun might not be that good.  It is a Martha Stewart one, but I have seen others out there that are suppose to be better.  Maybe if I decide I like the technique I'll get a new one this coming summer.  I did win some stamps last month from Lawn Fawn and they sent me some Hero Arts white embossing powder and I love it.  Maybe that has been my problem.  ????!!!!  Who knows.  I do have to admit that the embossing powder is making me happy as it works really good.  Do any of you know if it comes in other colors.  I would love it in silver or gold, but I haven't been able to find any online.
Ok guys, I got to get a move on. Thanks for stopping by.  It means the world to me.  Have a great day and I'll talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

I need a little help...

Good morning all.
Can you believe that once again it is Monday?  Everyone here is off today except for me.  lol... Yes, I am heading off to work soon.  That's ok though as this is my three day weekend, so come Thursday at 1pm I will be off.  lol... That's just how it goes right?
I am going to make this a quick post as I really need to get myself going.  I didn't adhere to our morning schedule what with the M&Ms sleeping in, so here we go.
One of my bosses' Sons is getting married this coming weekend and I really debated as to whether I felt a handmade card would be good enough.  I have to confess that the card I did come up with took me all of yesterday just to get it done.  I remember when Jerry and I were married we enjoyed the cards, but not as much as we do now (19 1/2 years later) when we look at them.  So with that being said I am sure the happy couple won't put as much stock into the whole thing as I do, but I am sure you all understand my totur on the whole to make or buy.  :O)
Ok, so here is where I need your help.  Please let me know if you think this is an ok Wedding card.  The couple are both in their early twenties and both are very energetic wonderfully in love.  They are both religious and believe in being honest hard working people.  I wanted to capture their free young spirits, but I really felt that I wanted the card to look elegant as well.  I desided to use a colored base for my card to keep it a little on the youthful/fun side.  I then used this very shiny cream card stock along with some soft satin ribbon and bling to bring out the more elegant traditional wedding side.
Well, there you have it.  I really do appreciate you opinions on this one as I only have until Friday to make them a different card.  heehe.. Have an awesome Monday everyone and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Happy Veterans Day...

Good morning everyone.
I want to start off today with a quick "Thank You" to all of the men and women out there that help to keep this country alive.  I am from a family that has always had someone in one branch or the other of the military.   Needless to say we support our troops in this family.  I hope that you all have a very Happy Veterans Day.  God Bless America!
So, I am finally getting back to being me again and I am proud to say that I actually made over four cards yesterday afternoon.  :O)  I also have decided not to grump about where I have to load my pictures from.  Thanks so much Amanda for the tip of what you use to get it done.  I am going to check it out later today when I am a little more awake.  lol
So with that being said, it is a Sunday and it usually means I do a little Paw paw-Razzi for you all.   I do have some cute pictures of Boo checking out the snow yesterday safe and dry from our back window where she loves to sleep and see the world without getting wet, cold or hot.  (Smart Cat!)  However today is Casper's First BIRTHDAY, and I have some awesome pictures to share with you of this crazy cat as well.
Casper has always had a bit of the wanderlust in him so we decided to take him outside yesterday when we got a little snow storm with really good sized snowflakes. We took him out of the front porch (Jerry was nice enough to hold him the whole time)  so that he could feel the snow for the first time.  He was so cute, and he ended up having a whole bunch of them on his face, but every time I tried to take the shot he would turn on me.  So, I did get a couple of shots and I am pleased to say that even though it was beautiful it didn't last or stick, so we still have nice dry grass and now very cold air outside..  Better than ice, so I'm not complaining.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.  I have a bunch of pictures to share this week, so I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Boo enjoying the view from the nice cozy house.

The view down the street.

Had to share this picture of my new car and that huge snowflake in front

Playing with Lawn Fawn stamps...

Good morning all.
I am so very happy that it is finally Saturday.  We have all been trying real hard not to get colds, but it seems that my oldest M has not been too lucky with that.  He had to stay home from school yesterday as he had a fever and he is having a hard time with his throat as well.
I do have to say that so far today he is feeling a bit better and Jerry and I were able to get some grocery shopping done before everyone was at the store.  yay!  Much quicker and less stressful before 8am.  Now that it is done I can hopefully spend some much needed time crafting.  :O)
Lately I have become addicted to Lawn Fawn stamps.  This set is one of their miniature sets and I think he is super cute.  I even pulled a couple of the papers from their 'Dewey Decimal' paper pad.  I added my newest addition to mySpellbinders collection, (thank goodness for PeachyCheap) the Hexagons and I had a very simple but fun card.  I hope you like it as much as I do.
I really enjoy how nice the LawnFawn stamps stamp and the fact that they can all be used together to make some great scenes on your cards.  lol

Ok everyone it is lightly snowing and getting bigger and faster here at the moment so I am going to grab my youngest M and see about getting some snapshots before it's all over.  :O)  Love the first snow!  Have a super Saturday and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Season's Greetings...

Hi all.   Well, I still can not get my pictures to load on my PC, so I finally decided to just give in and load them onto my laptop....  I really don't enjoy working with the editing program, but I really really wanted to share a little bit of what I have been playing with.
I haven't had any cards that needed to be made for a customer lately so I have been having fun just pulling from my building supply of must have stamps.  Poor things have just been waiting to get inky.  lol... So today I have pulled out this wonderful Miss Anya Scarves and colored her up a cute little scarf and sweater set that she is sure to have fun starting the seasons' shopping off with.  lol...
I also was able to use this fantastic paper pad that I won from the LawnFawn blog hop last month.  Isn't this paper just the sweetest holiday paper?   I had a great time matching the colors from the paper with my Copics and then adding a lot of different sentiment stamps to make my greeting on the inside.  I also have to mention that this Peppermint hemp from Lawn Fawn in great to work with.  I really love how you can tie a bow and it stays in the shape really really well.  :O)
Ok everyone,  I am heading off to bed as I am afraid that I am starting to get this cold that everyone in town seems to have and I still have to work in the morning so I figure that I better get a good nights sleep.   That and the fact that it is cold out and I really just want to crawl into my warm and cozy water bed.  lol... I hope you all have a great weekend and I will be talking at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Whatcha' doing?

Hi guys.
I have so many cards to show everyone, but my computer, printer and memory card just haven't been on speaking terms for over a month now.  I hate to start my week off by complaining, but right at the moment the only way I have of loading any of my pictures is via my laptop and I really don't like the program that it uses to do that.  Hence, no card sharing has been going on.  Gggrrrrr....
However I decided that I just can't do that any longer so I am going to start off with a card I made last month with a new Cuttlebug embossing folder that I bought from a lady off of YouTube who has her own store.  I am so sorry as I don't recall her name at the moment as I am in bed doing this post.  I will try to look her up in the morning to share with you all.  In the mean time I will just be quick and show you how this card turned out.  If I get time in the am I will post or add all of my details on this one,.,  In the mean time have a wonderful start to your week,

Ok guys, I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
