IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR...

Hi guys. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Monday. We had a great time at the kids' concert. I must say that all of the kids (6Th thru 8Th grade) sang so well. It was a lot of fun to watch them all sing. I think I have mentioned before how much we just love their music teacher as she teaches them all how to read the music that they sing. I love that they must learn the basics before they are put into any kind of concert. You sure can tell that it really makes a big diffence by how well they all sing.
Anyway we did go to their concert , however Madison was sent home from school yesterday because she wasn't feeling well and she was running a fever. As luck would have it though by the time the concert was over she was really starting to feel super sick so we headed over to the clinic to get it checked out. I'm not sure if I have mentioned before that our town is having another outbreak of Pertussis and because she was sent home with a cough and fever (basic symptoms of Pertussis) the clinic had to test Madison for it. This means that she can not go back to school for 5 days and that they started her on an anti-biotic as well. The Dr. said that it is more likely that she has a cold, but because of what is going around he is obligated to do the testing and take the extra precautions. So here we are. I felt really bad for sending her to school in the first place and now I feel super bad for letting her talk me into letting attend the concert when she should have been home in bed. They sent us home with a lot of paperwork about the whole thing and one of the items on the checklist states that if you or anyone in your home thinks they have this that you should not go to work. So now I don't know if I should go to work or not. They told us that the test that they did takes anywhere from two to four days to get the result back anyway. Sorry that I am rambling on... I am still a little tired from being up off and on with Maddie as she would get into coughing spells and then she couldn't breath. Talk about a very long night.
Ok, let me get on with it. Today's card is made with some new Spellbinders that I received last week and just now got to use. I just had to use Beanie Anya and give her a good home as the star of her own diamond shapes. I am so sorry guys, I am still tired and I have to start getting ready for work. I better get a move on.
Hugs, Lisa G

Praying for your family. Hope your daughter just has a cold. I know as parents we make desicions that we think are best for our kids. Don't second guess yourself. I am sure everything will work out fine. Hope you are able to get some rest as well. I know in my house if momma is sick everything falls apart! LOL

The card is super cute Lisa, I love the color scheme!
I hope Madison doesn't have whooping cough, I read where you guys were being hit by it again! Take care of yourself, don't get too run down or you'll be next for a week in bed.(hmmmmm, maybe that doesn't sound too bad.) ;)
