HAPPY TUESDAY...

Hi guys. I hope that you all had a good start to your week. I have to confess that as of yesterday morning I had not completed one card. Oh sure I had the best intentions to work on my cards all weekend, but what can I say. Mitchell was starting to get a cold so we couldn't let them go over to Grandma and Grandpa's (my Dad had open heart surgery in March of 2000) so we don't want to have him exposed to anything that might turn into something twice as bad for him. Anyway, both kids were not happy with this decision so we headed over to Hastings to get Avatar...No, we had not seen it yet. OMWord...I just love Hastings when they put movies on sale. They had PV movies (Avatar, Blind Side and Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakqual) at $12.99 buy 2 get one for .01c. Well we just could not pass it up. So we headed over to the movie theater and bought some popcorn for the kids and then we had movie night for the four of us. Needless to say the kids were both surprised and very happy with our choices of movies. Although I am sure the movie theater popcorn did not hurt their feelings at all. heehee I have to say that I enjoyed all of those movies so much that I just did not feel the least bit guilty for not getting any cards made. That is until yesterday morning when I had nothing to share with you... :O( I do have to add that we didn't just sit in our house for two days watching movies. We also manage to get our pool cleaned and ready to go. That is between the sun and rain. Lately it has been sunny one day and then the next it is cold and rainy. Is it any wonder that we all have colds now?
Ok guys, it you are still hanging in there let me get to my card that I did make. I have a friend that is having her Anniversary coming up so I decided that I would make her and her husband a card. I seem to be in the mood for anniversary cards at the moment. So I grabbed Miss Anya and My Guy Ian. They just looked so sweet together with her basket of tulips that he gave her and Anya holding onto his arm? Just sweet. I am still playing around with my Shapeabilities pendants. It is a little hard to get the card stock out, but I am getting it down. That is after about three tries, but you know what they say "If at first you don't succeed try, try and try again." lol....That is what I did, and I am happy with it.
Well, I had better skedaddle. Sick kids to get to school. I don't know who is happier, me or the kids that school is almost out. heehee I love having them home. I get to come home from work and swim with them. It is just so much more relaxed in the summer. Besides, then I don't have to help with homework after a long day at work. lol..
Talk at you tomorrow, Lisa G

So sweet Lisa!!! Love the way it turned out!!! My anniversary is Thursday June 10th. We are going out to eat while my oldest DD and her boyfriend take the kids swimming and bring them back home and get them ready for bed. So taht will be one thing we don't have to worry about. We are celebrating our 10yr anniversary. With 3 kids we usually just take a couple hrs for ourselves then it's back home and back to the craziness!!
I hope you are doing well!!!
Hugs:)

Beautiful card Lisa! I love the sweet scene you created by masking Anya and Ian together like that... they make such an adorable couple!
It sounds like you had a great family weekend even if you didn't get much crafting squeezed in, hey sometimes you just need to sit back and chill with a good show (that buttery popcorn doesn't hurt either LOL)! ;)
Oh and thanks for the heads up on the new Glee tunes too!
