SKETCH / COPIC COLOR BOOK...

Hi guys. I hope that you all had a super weekend. I worked on Saturday, but it went real fast and the whole day ended up being so much fun.
Have you ever played Pictionary? Have you ever played Pictionary on the Wii? Have you every played Pictionary on the Wii with your Mom, Dad, Husband and two children? If you have then you know what kind of Saturday evening we had. If not I have to say that I don't think any one of us has laughed that much in a very long time. We had so much fun.
Ok, let me get to my post for today. I don't have a card made. I wanted to share my Copic color book/ sketch book. Over on the CA&F blog Jennifer Shultz showed how she had made a color chart for her Prismas so that she could get a good idea of her color combos that she likes. Well, I have always had a book that I made that lists all of the Copic colors. I would write in notes as to color combos that I liked for hair, skin and misc. other things. When I saw Jennifer's I decided that I really liked it and I had to give it a go. Let me tell you I think not only is it a great visual idea instead of just writing in the color numbers but you also get a lot of practice on how to add highlights while you are coloring the same image several times. I don't have them all colored in as I wanted to leave some for when I come across a new combo that I like. I used Neenah Solar white cardstock as that is what I love to stamp on and I wanted to get the true colors. I also cut apart my 2011 Copic book (that has all the new colors that are coming to Sketch) and photo copied it onto the Neenah so that everything is in one book on my desk. I wish I had taken pictures of the Copic color parts. I just didn't think of it when I started to take my photos last night.
Well I better get a move on as I work today. The kids don't have school today, so I only have myself to get going. Have a great day everyone. Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Your book is so cool Lisa, it's great to see the different color combos side by side. I'm looking forward to the new Copic colors too, especially the new BG's...I'm hoping they help when I'm trying to color match to that weird Cosmo Cricket and Merry January blue-green.
Hope you have a good day at work today and that it goes quickly!

Great sketchbook Lisa! I bought one after I took my copic class but have never sat down and done anything with it. Maybe now I will...
