A GREAT BOOK DESERVES IT'S OWN BOOK MARKER...

 Good morning friends.
Well here we are already at the halfway point in this week.  I don't have to be to work until 9am today, so we are getting ready to head out on our walk with our brand new shoes.  lol...  I just have to mention just one more time how happy I am to have my kids excited with all this exercise and the results that they are seeing from their hard work.   We headed over and got them registered for their 8th grade classes yesterday and Madison was just so happy to be getting back to the grind that she won't shut up about it.  Mitchell on the other hand tends to get nervous about everything, so he is ready to tape her mouth shut just so he doesn't have to hear anything about school until next Wednesday when we get him up to take his shower.. lol... Poor kid.  :O)
So, as most of you have realized by now when I find something that interests me I kind of go overboard finding out everything I can about it.  Hense all the Copic markers,  my growing collection of Greeting Farms stamps and my latest obsession with Tim McGraw songs and just about anything cowboy.  lol...  I think you get the point.
So  that brings me to my post for today.  Last week I was on my break at work and I had forgotten to bring my book to read.  I picked up Woman's Day  in the lobby and thumbed through it.  While I was doing so I came across a story by Ree Drummond that she had written about how she had met her husband.  Ree has been blogging since 2006 so of course once I got home I had to head over and check her out.  (Just click here)  Then I found out that the book was already in print (it was a magazine from February of this year) so of course the next day on my lunch break I had to head over to Hastings to purchase it.  Then the next thing I know it is Sunday and we were watching the 'Food Truck Road Race' on the Food Network when all of a sudden there Ree is.  She is going to be hosting her own show this coming Saturday about her life on a cattle ranch in the middle of Oklahoma.  I won't give away anymore details  in case you want to check out her book, except to say she calls her hubby the Marlboro Man.  lol..
This is a great book even though I have only had a total of 40 minutes to read I am totally hooked.  So, getting back to my post.  As you know the M&Ms and I all like to make a new bookmarker for each and every book we read so I decided that I would use Cheeky Shooter for this one and give her some red hair to look a little like Ree.  Silly I know, but I just couldn't help myself.  This book is fantastic and I can't recomend it enough.
Ok guys, I am off to take a walk with the family.  I hope that you all have a wonderful day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

That is the best image you could have chosen for the book! She would love it if she could see it I am sure! I don't have this book but she does have a cookbook and I bought it, really good but not the least bit healthy so with you guys doing so well with your walks I am forewarning you!

Perfect image for the bookmark, Lisa! I remember reading that story on her blog, she did it in installments and it was hard waiting for the next continuation! I love how she writes...very entertaining and an easy read!
So were you all walking with more bounce in your steps with the new shoes? ;)
Have a great day!

YeeHaw...I love the bookmark, very cute. I don't get the cooking channel, and haven't read her book...but might have to check out her blog with the winning recommendation that you gave! TFS!
